Normally the day after Christmas Natalie would just be sitting around home. Not this year. Sure she had spent the day at home with her father but tonight she decided to go out to a party. Yes, Natalie was going to her first high school party. She knew of them but had never really gone before. Since her “change” someone said she should come to the one some senior was hosting. Of course she didn’t tell her father where she was going. All she told him was she was going to Isabella’s house for the night. He didn’t even blink at it because Natalie had been spending plenty of time of there. That and at Autumn’s. she figured he was just happy she was getting out there. And she had gone to Isabella’s but just to get ready. She enjoyed tonight’s outfit. Skinny jeans with long black boots that went almost to her knees over them. A v-neck halter top with a push up bra underneath to bring up her girls though Natalie threw a shrug on over that. She was still self conscious about her scar. A pair of earrings that somewhat matched the chain attached to her halter were put on before her rings. Stackable rings on her right middle finger, her normal thin gold band on the left forefinger and then a large “cocktail” ring as they seemed to be called on her left ring finger. To add a pop of color, Natalie put on teal liquid liner before she headed out.
When she arrived at the house she threw her car into park and checked her appearance. She was a bucket full of nerves as she ruffled her hair. Natalie had no idea how to do this-to party. She hardly ever danced and though she had a couple drinks recently nothing major. She’d never been drunk though tonight may be a first. With a deep breath in she stepped out of her car and locked it before she slipped her keys into the pocket of her jeans along with her phone. Everything else remained locked safely in her car. Or she hoped they were safe. She moved with another group of girls until she got into the already packed house. Her heart beat a mile a minute as she gazed around. Bodies packed the place. Some were dancing while others just milled about with some form of a drink in her hand. As she stood there a girl came up behind her and made Natalie jump before she nervously laughed. ’Natalie! This is a surprise. Wow you look great. Uh drinks are in the kitchen. Come on, I’ll show you.’ People seemed interested in the new her though part of it may be because she did a complete one-eighty. That and some still wanted to know what happened to her. ”Sure, why not.” She went with the girl to the ktichen where they helped prepare a drink for her. Natalie had no clue how many different alcoholic beverages were thrown in. All she knew is when she drew up on the straw it was very fruity and she could feel the burn of the alcohol as it traveled down her throat and to her stomach. She sputtered for a moment before she laughed. A couple people cheered as she continued on. Yes, a whole new Natalie was before them.
Once she was done that drink and had chatted for a bit someone made her a rum and coke which she was comfortable with and she held that as she went into one of the main rooms. That mix drink ahs to be fairly strong because she already felt her head spinning. The room she ended up at was filled with people dancing. She moved to lean against the wall as she swayed ever so slightly on the spot while she sipped her drink. Her eyes scanned the room not out of fair but for a familiar face. She hadn’t think to invite Autumn nor Isabella and wasn’t sure if there was anyone else around who she could hang around with. Hopefully she saw someone or else she may just split.

jackson normally didn't have anything going on the day after christmas, unless it was spending time with his family or if he got invited to a party. that was the case this time. his mom wasn't too happy when he told her he'd be out, but she didn't stop him. jackson didn't bother giving her a time when he would be back because he didn't know. it'd be late, which was something she already knew. he'd pulled all nighters before without bothering to call and let her know where he was, so she was pretty used to it by now.
his outfits didn't vary much, and he always wore the same leather jacket. it was starting to show some wear, but jackson didn't care. other staples of his wardrobe were jeans and his leather combat boots. he hardly ever wore anything but jeans, even in the summer, except when he was working out or swimming. oh, and the times he didn't require any clothing at all. jackson wasn't one to dress up, though he did own one suit. he'd worn it only once, to a funeral, if he remembered right. but tonight he decided on a black v-neck shirt, dark wash jeans, a necklace, leather bracelet, black watch and of course his combat boots and leather jacket. yes, he liked black. as for hair, jackson usually went with the flow. however it looked when he woke up in the morning was fine with him, now matter how bad the bedhead. he examined it in the mirror, using his fingers to spike it up a little bit, then left it.
jackson yelled a goodbye to his mom, not feeling too bad, since his sisters had decided to spend the evening with her. of course, they probably would have liked to spend it with him, too, but he wasn't about to miss the party, so they'd have to get over it. jackson hopped in his car and drove the short distance to the house. he didn't know the person throwing it, but that didn't really matter. he went to quite a few parties without knowing anyone there, except the person who'd invited him. it was a great way to meet new girls, so that was fine by him.
he stepped out, hearing music, talking and laughter from a rather large house. jackson smiled, knowing this was going to be a great party. the place was hopping and he just hoped they had a good bar. he knew his liquor and was actually a pretty good mixer. he passed some people outside, some of them a bit tipsy already, but headed inside. there was barely room to walk, but that's how jackson liked it. you were always in contact with someone, especially when you tried to walk through, so he was getting plenty of glares or winks as he felt up a few random girls. his only reply was a grin and a wink.
jackson saw several people he knew, but not anyone in particular that he felt like chatting with. of course, he'd passed quite a few girls that he wouldn't mind finding a room with later, but wanted to get some drinks in and maybe even some dancing. jackson was probably about average in that department, maybe a little above. he soon found the bar, seeing that they had plenty to work with. the house was super nice, so obviously the parents were loaded and the kid was taking advantage of that. jackson didn't really care for weak drinks, not even when he was just starting out the night. he decided on a classic. it was called 'the long island ice tea'. he just hoped the guy would make it right. he watched him, making sure it was being done right. jackson could always step in and do it himself if not, but, to his satisfaction, it was perfect. he took a large sip from it, thanking the guy, then decided to walk around a bit.
he wound up in a main room, that was mostly taken up with people dancing. there were a few people who weren't, however. jackson might do some later, but he was too busy drinking right then. he walked around the outside of the rather large group of dancers and that was when he saw natalie. he stopped, taking her in as she stood there, a drink in her hand. she was even more stunning than usually, wearing a low cut top and skinny jeans that were rather tight, which was all to his liking. jackson hadn't had the chance to talk to her since the night of the tree lighting ceremony when he'd had a seizure. he hoped she'd kept her mouth shut about it, though it wouldn't surprise him if she hadn't. well, he was going to clear that up right away. he needed to know if she'd told anyone, and if not, jackson was going to insist that she keep it that way.
he started in her direction, whistling in appreciation once he got close enough for her to hear him. jackson made it clear that she was looking hott by the look in his eye as it traveled over her body. he just wished she was wearing a little less, but maybe if he got a few more drinks in her that would happen. just maybe. "seems we have a bit of talking to do," jackson said, cutting right to the chase. there'd be time for other things after this was settled. "mind finding somewhere a little..quieter?" the music had just been cranked up louder than before, forcing him to yell if he was going to be heard. jackson hoped she'd agree to it, since he didn't want to broadcast his secret to the whole world, and for once, he wasn't trying to lure her to a secluded spot so they could make out.

While Natalie sipped at her drink a guy from her class came around to chat. This was a first for her. She made a mental note to thank Isabella for all the tips. A half grin formed on her face as the two chatted. Eventually he asked her to dance. Natalie downed the rest of her drink and put he cup aside before she followed him. She really wasn’t that skilled though Isabella had taught her a few things. Nothing really crazy but when the guy pulled her close she was able to move his body with his. As their bodies grinded together the music blared around them. At this point she really wasn’t thinking about much as they moved. He made a few jokes which made Natalie laughed and flirted with her, trying to get her to go to a room with him. All she did was move away from him after a couple songs and said she’d see him around. She may be having fun but Natalie still wasn’t ready for that.
Her heel clad feet moved back into the kitchen for another rum and coke. It wasn’t that crazy of a drink but after the drink she had when she arrived, Natalie would rather stick with one type of alcohol. Beer wasn’t something she particularly liked and until she got used to the burn of alcohol straight up, she would stick with the mixed stuff. Her head already felt light from the effects of the drinks coursing through her body. Blood rushed to her face from the heat of the room and the drinks. She saw the guy she had been dancing with chatting up another girl and chuckled. It was amusing how a guy turned down could move to the next girl so quickly. Not that she was heartbroken. They had danced for a couple songs and flirted. Nothing more.
She found her way back into the room but with the place filling up fast there wasn’t anyplace to stand on her own. As she stood near a group of people she caught Jackson making his way her direction out of the corner of her eye. She hadn’t seen him since the Tree Lighting Ceremony back on the fifteen, back over a week ago. There had only been a few days of school yet so they hadn’t really crossed paths then vacation started. She knew it was coming after what happened. He had asked her to leave and she refused. Jackson had to be pretty upset about that. Natalie hadn’t told anyone but her father could tell she had been shaken. All she could do was tell him a friend had been injured in the chaos following the lights going out. It wasn’t entirely false. Natalie wasn’t dumb-she knew a seizure when she saw one. The lights had suddenly gone out then it rolled back on-fast. That had to trigger whatever was going on. Epilepsy perhaps? Seemed likely since he never looked sick any other time she saw him.
When he whistled at her, Natalie chuckled. Should she really expect anything less. She tilted her head forward as he moved towards her. ”Why am I not surprised Mister Jackson Ford is here?” She was trying to be fun and light but he wasn’t in that kind of mood like he normally was. Her lips met her cup as she shrugged towards him. ”Sure,” she said before following him. A glance behind her showed that the guy she had been dancing with was watching as Natalie walked away with Jackson. Not like she was planning on doing anything with him. The look he had was much too serious to think even he planned on trying anything.
When they got to an empty room, Natalie walked in first and assessed the place. There was a window with one of those window benches. That’s where she chose to sit. She sat backwards and pulled a leg up so the heel locked with the edge of the seat. ”So what’s up, buttercup?”

jackson loved that buzz he got from drinking, especially when it was a particularly strong beverage. he felt it starting as he took another sip, a smile on his face. most people didn't like getting smashed, but he wasn't most people. jackson thought life much more interesting that way, though, of course, he never really remembered much. he always had a good time, though. that would sound idiotic to a lot of people, and really it was, but not to him. jackson saw a girl approaching, knowing what she wanted by the way she was eying him up, and smiled. she wrapped an arm around his neck and pulled him into a kiss, which he happily complied with, even slipping his tongue into her mouth as they made out. one of jackson's hands slid down to her bum, giving it a tight squeeze, before breaking off the kiss. he brought his mouth close to her ear, telling her how he wanted to do her later. he pulled back and she was smiling and nodded. she reached for jackson's drink, but he pulled it away, laughing and shaking his head. there was no way he was sharing that drink with anyone.
he moved on, glancing back at her once and saw her looking him over still. jackson couldn't wait till later, hoping she wouldn't leave before he had the chance. he didn't remember seeing her before, so he wasn't even sure if she was from the school, a visitor or maybe a college student. he wanted to get this seizure business over with as soon as possible, because making out with natalie would make his night, especially if it went further than that. jackson smiled at her comment, still finding it amazing how much she'd changed. "guess i'm too predictable," he answered with a shrug. "i am surprised that you're here, though. and drinking." apparently this was going to be a regular occurrence. he was surprised when natalie agreed, with no hesitation, but didn't show it as he turned and began walking out of the room. jackson wasn't sure that he would find a place where they could be alone, but it was a big house, so there had to be somewhere.
jackson didn't have to go as far as he thought, though, finding an unoccupied room with a window bench, which natalie perched herself on. he decided to stay standing, however, as he took a sip from his more than half empty glass. he heard her ask what was up, and gave her a look. "i think you already know," jackson said, sure that she did. "i just wanna know one thing," he continued, looking her in the eye and stepping closer to where she was sitting. "did you keep your mouth shut? about that night?" he could explain to her why it happened later, if she cared to know, which she probably did. jackson knew he'd be a bit curious if someone had an episode right in front of him.

Natalie tipped her head at Jackson. ”For the most part. You haven’t technically hit on me yet which is not like you at all.” She took another sip of her drink. Usually by now he was making some sort of comment or pass. Then again she hadn’t seen him before this moment so he could have exhausted all that on some other girl. Or girls. Not like Natalie cared. Her life was a big enough mess without throwing anything else into the mix. ”I told you at the Tree Lighting Ceremony that I am changing. I’m starting to live life and not hide in the shadows anymore. This is me living it.” Of course she still didn’t cross certain lines. Drugs and sex were the big ones. She was up for experimenting with most anything else though. Lately, pushing her bounds was the only way Natalie could feel anything besides panic and numbness in each day.
There were some people who were helping her with that transition. Isabella Helstrom was one who helped her with the make-over. Then Autumn Sommers made sure Natalie didn’t push herself too far when she could accompany Natalie to parties. But Autumn had her illness and couldn’t always go out. If Autumn were here she probably would’ve tried to stop Natalie from going into a room alone with Jackson but Natalie had a feeling that getting her alone wasn’t about sex. Unlike that other guy. Or maybe having another drink was starting to cloud her judgment a bit. Since she wasn’t used to alcohol it was a lot easier for her to get drunk then others. She wasn’t really sure if she was drunk or just had a buzz going on. Either way she felt good right now and Natalie liked feeling good.
Natalie couldn’t help but chuckle at the look he gave her. ”Why no I don’t think I do Mister Ford. Are you trying to soil my good name and shame me away from Maine?” She had taken up a recent love for historical romance novels and couldn’t help it. Jackson was acting much too serious for her liking right now. As he spoke she continued to sip at her drink until it was gone then set it on the ground in front of her before she sighed. ”Yes I have Jackson. Even to my father.” She brought both hands to massage at her scalp. Her skin felt tingly and warm. ”He asked me what was wrong and all I said was a friend got hurt in the crowds. Didn’t even blink twice. Told you he’ll believe anything I say.”
Natalie looked over his form. He looked a lot tenser then normal. With her hands Natalie pushed herself up and gripped at his shoulders. ”Ok, listen, if you don’t want anyone to know about your epilepsy then fine. I won’t tell anyone. I’m pretty good at keeping secrets. After all I still haven’t told anyone everything that happened when I was taken.” Of course Natalie would assume it was epilepsy. That was the only thing she knew of that caused seizures.

Post by JACKSON XAVIER FORD on Feb 25, 2013 20:47:43 GMT -5
"hmm.. i'm pretty sure our first meeting counts as me hitting on you," jackson replied. after all, his first words to her had been a pickup line, and he considered that hitting on her. that's how he broke the ice with quite a few girls, and natalie wasn't the first one it hadn't worked on, though it usually did. to be fair, the one he'd used on natalie really hadn't been that great and there were plenty much better ones out there, but he'd seen her reading, so that was probably why he'd tried the library card one. "yeah, i remember." jackson wasn't so much surprised at how she'd changed, but more the fact that she'd changed so quickly. "the real question is how much you've changed," he continued, finally acting more like his regular self. of course, he was implying that he was interested in knowing just how far she was willing to go at this point.
jackson rolled his eyes, getting a little irritated with her, because he knew that natalie was aware of what he was talking about. he wondered if this was how other people felt when they tried to get things out of him. "c'mon natalie. i know you're not stupid. naive, yes. but not stupid." he really wanted to get this part of his evening over, and she wasn't making it easy. she was enjoying this new side of herself way too much, in his opinion. jackson gave a relieved sigh when natalie admitted that she hadn't told anyone. "good," he said, after she explained how she'd covered it up. he wasn't one for saying 'thank you', however, at least not in conventional ways.
he caught a whiff of whatever perfume natalie was wearing as she stood up. jackson barely listened to what she said, distracted by her proximity to him and how nice she smelled. he caught the gist of it, though. she'd keep his secret, even though she thought it was epilepsy. he wasn't really focusing on that anymore, however, satisfied that she would keep her word. jackson suddenly grabbed her wrists, pulling her towards him while at the same time walking forward so she ended up on the floor underneath him. he couldn't help a satisfied grin as he kept her wrists pinned down and she was completely trapped. "i'm glad to hear you're gonna keep my secret," jackson said, keeping a casual tone and behaving as if it were a perfectly normal conversation and he wasn't lying on top of her. "it's not epilepsy, though. it's brain cancer. astro something." he couldn't remember the exact name, though he wasn't really trying to, at this point. "anyway, i'm gettin kinda bored with all this seriousness. aren't you?" jackson asked, lowering his head to her ear as he said it. he kissed her neck, moving from there to the side of her face, then paused as he inhaled her scent again before finally making it to her lips which he kissed with a passion, even slipping his tongue in her mouth. jackson knew she'd be furious but he didn't really care. ___________________________________________________________________________ Word Count five one eight Inspiration hold on - colbie caillat Tags natalie Status complete Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Picture By VIA CRUZ @ caution 2.0

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, background-color:#f4f4f4; width:400px; padding:8px; border: 8px solid #9b6464;] she‘s had all she can take SOMETHING’S GOTTA MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE. I DON‘T KNOW WHERE IT IS BUT SOMETHING‘S GOTTA GIVE
Natalie rolled her eyes. ”I didn’t mean our prior encounters but right now. You have yet to hit on me tonight.” Usually he would be hitting on anything that had a double-x chromosome. Including her and that was even before she had done her one-eighty. Since that she figured he would have been much worse. At first she thought he was avoiding her those last few days at school but now she knew better. It had just been hectic that week before they all went on winter break. That weekend right after the last day of school she had spent with Isabella learning more from her then with Autumn. It had been a fun weekend. Tonight was proving just as fun. ”Not as much as I’m sure you’d like.”
As she sat watching him, Natalie actually laughed. ”Wow loosen up dude. Geez you never act like this. Seems we have a Freaky Friday here, folks.” Natalie had never seen Jackson like this. Then again they had only interacted a handful of times. One she had a put off attitude. The second time had been a little more fun but ended in a weird note. She had said hi to him a couple times in the halls but nothing really major. This was probably the most in depth interaction they had ever had and probably ever would have. Jackson didn’t seem like a guy capable of wanting anything serious in his life. Natalie didn’t mean relationship wise but in general. He acted like there was nothing in the world to give a care about. To her it seemed like he never had to deal with anything serious in his life. Life was big party and he was Hugh Hefner. Yes, even Natalie knew who the guy was.
Natalie wasn’t unaware of their close proximity. She got a good look while they talked. He had a thinner build about him but not one that was scary skinny. His air, per usual, was a disaster but seemed to fit his ‘don’t give a sh*t’ nature. But his eyes...he had some striking eyes. The deep blue just stood out form the rest of his visage. No matter how hard of an appearance he had around him those eyes were unforgettable. As she continued to stare at them he started to move her to the floor. Natalie let out a small yelp with this action. She may be doing better but she wasn’t completely healed. His sudden actions caused her to tense up and be stiff as a board underneath him. Her mouth screwed up in frustration as her brow furrowed. Natalie was not happy with her current predicament. For the time being she admitted defeat with a large exhale of air. ”Why wouldn’t I? Obviously you don’t want people to know if you made me lug your heavy ass behind some cars.” She was hoping that comment was get him to leave her alone. This was closer to the Jackson she knew just a little more extreme but Natalie had never been to parties before. She had no idea what he was like in such a setting.
When he said it was cancer her jaw went slightly slack as her brows went up in confusion. ”Seriously?” Is that what his whole personality was about? Did he really not care about life because he was dealing with this. She actually felt bad for him. She now realized the amount of people who knew were probably close to nonexistent. Once she was over this conversation she started to use her legs to move her body upwards but his lips met her skin instead. With how her back was arched in an attempt to get up he had full access to the columns of her throat. As with the Tree Lighting, Natalie laid there frozen. Her eyes drifted shut as his lips applied pressure along her skin, upwards until he met her own lips. Whether it was the alochol or the fact she actually wanted this, Natalie stopped resisting. Her body fell so she was laying completely on the floor again. She was unsure how to react at first. This was a completely different slew of kisses then the brief one they had shared before. While she tried to gain her footing she met his movements in their tongues entwining. Despite not being filled with rational thought, she remembered something she read in one of her books(yes, lame). She pulled back just enough to nip lightly at his lower lip and ran her tongue over it before she went back to kissing him. Her blood was coursing through her veins as her heart rate picked up from a combination of nerves and craving to continue testing her bounds with Jackson.

jackson smiled, realizing his mistake. "i'll give you five seconds to give me your number or you can forget about going out with me forever," he replied, with a wink. "happy?" he had quite a few memorized and that was one he used pretty often. jackson would have talked to her about the situation much sooner, but he'd actually had to spend some time at school and the teachers were insisting on cramming things in before winter break. then the weekend had been taken up by little chores his mom had told him he better do, and after that he'd wanted to relax a bit, so he'd gone out drinking, picked up a girl, and spent the rest of his weekend with her. so jackson had been a little distracted, but now was the perfect time. he shook his head at her words, seemingly disappointed. "damn.. maybe next time," he said with a smirk. though he wasn't completely convinced that he couldn't convince her to go further than she'd ever gone tonight.
he gave her a look that was something close to a glare as she told him to loosen up. "i know this isn't very important to you, but it happens to be very important to me," jackson informed her in a terse tone. she was right, though. he wasn't normally like this, and in fact preferred his regular behavior, but he couldn't help it. he needed to know that he could trust her and he didn't feel like beating around the bush. he knew he'd surprised natalie by his reaction, since she'd never seen him like this. not many people had. in fact, probably only his family. the other times they'd talked he'd been his regular self, up until the seizure, of course. they hadn't had much contact, however, aside from those two occurrences and then a hello as they passed each other in the hallways at school. so him behaving in a manner that was anywhere near serious was no doubt quite a shock to her.
jackson grinned at her reaction, though he didn't hesitate in what he was doing. when he felt her stiffen underneath him he only tried harder. that sort of thing didn't work with him, since he wasn't the type to give up so easy. he got that arrogant look when she finally gave up, and released a heavy sigh. jackson laughed at what she said, shaking his head, though the smile still remained in place. "it's cute when you're mad," was his reply as he looked down at her. "in fact, it's more than cute. i would say it's hot." it was always attractive when girls got mad. it brought out that spunky side that he loved. even if it earned him a slap across the face or a kick in the groin, it was worth it. "i think.. you like me, natalie owens. even if it's just a little bit. while else keep your mouth shut?" he asked, teasing, really.
"yeah," he said with a bit of a shrug, obviously pretty unconcerned about it. jackson saw the pitying look in her eyes, the one he hated so much. that was another reason he didn't want people to know. he didn't want or need their pity. "it's not terminal or anything, so don't worry," he informed her with a wink. "it's nice to know you're concerned for me, though." feeling her legs lifting, jackson figured it was the perfect time to distract her, since she probably wouldn't have too hard of a time getting him off her. her position was perfect for getting at her neck, and the fact that she was still stiff helped, though he wished she'd relax a little. jackson soon got his wish, her body falling back down to the floor, and he smiled into the kiss. maybe this would be his lucky night after all, but he knew he had to take it slow or he'd ruin it. he was giving her mouth a work over, pretty sure she'd never experienced anything like this before, considering her reaction. jackson felt her tongue entwining with his as they continued the make out session. it surprised him a little when she pulled back, nipped at his lower lip, then ran her tongue along it. he liked it, though, and hadn't expected her to know anything about kissing, other than copying his own movements. jackson kissed her harder when they returned to it, releasing her wrists so his hands could move to either side of her face. ___________________________________________________________________________ Word Count seven five five Inspiration hold on - colbie caillat Tags natalie Status complete Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Picture By VIA CRUZ @ caution 2.0

Natalie chuckled at Jackson as she shook her head. Even she had to admit he could be pretty cute at time. ”Oh yes I am thrilled. Jackson Ford has used a cheesy pick up line on me. My life is completely.” As she spoke she brought both hands up to her chest dramatically while her lips curved in a half smirk but her eyes were full of laughter. She caught sight of the guy she had been dancing with earlier eyeing them with an air of jealousy. The other guy was a jock so he thought himself better then most others. One who deserved the hottest piece of ass on their arm and in their beds. Natalie wasn’t sure if she was ready to full-fledged date someone and wasn’t about to jump into bed with someone she didn’t know. Natalie turned her attentions back to Jackson and rolled her eyes. ”Who says we’ll even seen one another again, hmm? Maybe I don’t like having you around.”
Natalie sensed the gavity of the situation and took on a more somber tone. ”Jackson if it’s that important to you then I’ll take it seriously.” Natalie was one who usually had a mature nature about her. This whole personality swap was completely new for her and she was still gaining her footing. She liked having the effect that she did on some boys but she also had to know when to stop least they get the wrong idea. She knew how some guys liked to take advantage of drunk girls. after her recent history, Natalie was determined to not fall victim to anyone again. She would now take care of herself.
Natalie had it in her right mind to lift a knee up and hurt him right where it mattered but that was a last resort. She would if she absolutely had to. Right now he wasn’t being too bad, just the Jackson she was used to. She stared at him hard. Seriously? He was acting like this while he had her pinned down. Natalie really shouldn’t be surprised. ”Well I think you might have some issues if you think a girl who’s pissed off is hot. Are you secretly a masochist, Jackson?” She locked and unlocked her jaw as she watched him. Natalie couldn’t deny she felt some sort of charge but what she wasn’t entirely sure. She partially hated him and yet enjoyed it when they had kissed at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. ”And I think you’re full of yourself since you think every girl likes you.”
Natalie watched as e talked about his cancer like it was nothing. Usually it wasn’t nothing but what could she do? Beg him to talk about his feelings to her? Jackson wasn’t exactly that kind of guy. ”You tell me you have brain cancer then to not worry. Not exactly that easy.” She paused as her gaze traveled up and down his face. ”But I’ll try not to if you say not to.” This whole situation was bizarre. She wouldn’t have called him having brain cancer at all. He looked perfectly healthy. Then it just got stranger as he started to kiss her. Natalie really couldn’t fight it as she liked it. As far as she could tell he was a good kisser but, then again, he was the only person she had ever kissed. He could be awful and she’d be none the wiser. But, for now, she was enjoying it. The slight trail he had left along her skin felt like it was on fire and the nerves along her neck tingled in anticipation. All rational thought was gone from her body.
As his hands cupped along the side of her face, she moved her hands so they gripped along the back of his arms, pulling him down closer to her. The moment when their lips were apart her chest rapidly rose and fell as she tried to draw in breaths. Nervously she moved her head from his lips and kissed at his cheek and down his neck before she let her head fall back and look up at him. Her heart was pounding rapidly, unsure of what she wanted to do. Did she keep going, maybe further then she thought she would or turn and run? Natalie knew what her body craved but she wasn’t sure if Jackson would exactly be careful with her. Or, if she decided to stop, if he would. Natalie wordlessly sought some sort of answer from him on what to be doing. He was one who was far more experienced then her. That was for sure.

jackson grinned at her response, chuckling a little. "knew you'd love it," he replied, wishing that natalie did actually like him. he knew she was attracted to him physically, at least somewhat, but aside from that she felt nothing for him. of course, he didn't feel anything for her except a physical attraction, but he was used to girls falling for him, and she didn't hadn't and probably wouldn't. she just wasn't the type to do that sort of thing. "my life might be pretty close to complete if you'd give me your number, though." jackson was being serious about that, he'd love to have natalie's number. not so he could light up her phone constantly, day or night, but he wouldn't mind being able to text her now and then. invite her to parties, or even over to his house, maybe. jackson noticed natalie glance at someone and turned to see who it was. he was a jock and looked pretty jealous, which brought an immediate smile to his face. he liked getting under their skin, especially when they decided to fight him. he didn't always win, but the majority of the time he held his own. jackson grinned at the guy and waved, satisfied by how angry that made him, then turned back to natalie. "well, considering we go to the same school, i think we will," he replied, though he knew what she'd meant. "i think you'd let me knew if you didn't, and so far you haven't told me to hit the road, so.."
he calmed down some when natalie told him she'd take it seriously. jackson needed to, anyway, since it was possible he could have another seizure, though he seriously hoped not. maybe he was paranoid, but he never knew when something would trigger it. "thanks," he replied, maybe a little hesitantly. he wasn't used to thanking people and didn't really like it, but he figured he owed her that. jackson knew that most of the people from school, even ones he called 'friends' wouldn't keep quiet about something like that. he shouldn't have been too surprised, though, with how she was raised. natalie may have changed a lot, but she hadn't lost everything her father had taught her.
jackson knew he was leaving his groin exposed in this position and just hoped she wouldn't take advantage of that fact. he could tell by the look natalie was giving him, that she still didn't have him figured out, and probably never would. he was good at surprising people with the things he did, and enjoyed their reactions. jackson was an attention hog, for sure. he laughed at her reply, shaking his head. "not at all. it's actually very common for guys to find that attractive. i like my women feisty," he told her with a wink. an eyebrow rose at her next words, a small but cocky smile lifting the corner of his mouth. "no, i don't think that," jackson told her, pausing for a moment. "i know it." of course, he also knew that not every girl liked him, but he had no problem admitting that he was full of himself.
"yep," he said with a nod. "and it's very easy, considering it's not terminal." jackson wouldn't have wanted anyone to worry about him even if it had been terminal. worrying wouldn't help and would only annoy him, so what was the point? and he wasn't being completely honest, since some people had died from it, but those were rare cases. "good," jackson said, smiling down at her. he was getting tired of talking about it by now, though. considering what he had underneath him, plus the alcohol coursing through him. he was buzzed, for sure, but far from drunk.
jackson felt her pulling him closer to her and willingly complied. it was going to be his lucky night, after all. provided natalie didn't chicken out at the last minute. be leave it or not, he wouldn't force her if she really didn't want to do it, knowing that with a little more convincing or a few more drinks he'd eventually get there. jackson's eyes moved down to her somewhat exposed chest as it rose and fell rapidly. his own heart was racing, though it wasn't from nervousness. he closed his eyes, enjoying the feel of her lips on his skin, opening his eyes a moment later when she let her head fall back to where it had been. jackson met her gaze steadily, seeing the nervousness and uncertainty in her eyes. he moved his hands to the small jacket she was wearing, beginning to pull it off of her. he was going to have to take things slow if he had any hopes of her willingly going with it. as he pulled it off the rest of the way, he kissed her again, this time soft and slow. jackson tossed it over his shoulder as he slid his hands up her shirt, getting a feel of her soft skin. ___________________________________________________________________________ Word Count eight three four Inspiration hold on - colbie caillat Tags natalie Status complete Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Picture By VIA CRUZ @ caution 2.0

Natalie eyed Jackson. With this whole personality change of hers it left a lot hanging. She had never dated before so never thought of the type of guy she might like. Jackson…I don’t know…just didn’t seem to fit the mold though. He was fun and maybe he could be the right guy for her. Or maybe he could be complete trouble and she should run in the opposite direction. For now she’d feel out the situation. Not like it could do her much hard. She wasn’t currently in a state where she was falling for him in any specific way. No, Natalie was too screwed up after her kidnapping to even consider a relationship with anyone. ”Wow, really? Again, how many girls has that worked on?” Even if she wasn’t used to the dating scene, she had a good friend teaching her about the different things that a guy could say. Natlie reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. ”How about you give me your number and if I feel like you’re worth texting then I will.”
Natalie saw Jackson turn to look at the guy she had been dancing with earlier and then wave at him. Natalie laughed as she grabbed at his arm to turn him back to her. ”Seriously, Jackson? Do you just look for toruble everywhere you go.” Sometimes the boy could be unbelievable in the things she did. Then again, it’s what made him fun to be around. He was literally the complete opposite of who she was before she started her little transformation. ”Well maybe you intrigue me in a psychological sense. You are a very fascinating case study.”
Natalie nodded at Jackson. ”You’re welcome.” There was a bit of a charge in the air but Natalie brushed it off. It was only there because of the booze and her knowing something probably not many people knew. And no it wasn’t an emotional charge but more physical. It’s what kept her from moving her knee up to make contact with his groin. ”Oh? I figured someone like you liked your women to be docile and willing to do whatever you wanted. Us “feisty” women aren’t exactly that way.” Actually, Natalie was still trying to learn what kind of woman she was. She knew she was no long the good pastor’s girl. But she also wasn’t the extreme party girl. It’s why she eventually stopped herself form drinking too much. She wanted to be somewhat aware of what was going on around her. ”well sorry to burst your bubble but I know one girl who doesn’t like you in that sense and you’re looking at her.” Natalie’s lips pressed together. Not really a smile, or even a smirk, but more to keep from talking further about things. Jackson didn’t seem too worried about things so she wouldn’t. plus, he did say it wasn’t terminal. That had to count for something.
At this point, Natalie was just considering letting it all go. What harm could it do? Waiting for love seemed like an unreal expectation. Or even marriage. Natalie was no longer sure if anyone would want someone as screwed up as she was. Because of that, she should still be able to enjoy herself. And Natalie was really enjoying herself right now. She felt things she hadn’t been feeling before. A tingling sensation rolled along the nerves in body and would steadily increase as her own body temperature felt like it was increasing. She enjoyed how it felt when her lips were moving over his flesh. Natalie didn’t think she would enjoy this activity so much but she really did.
Natalie kept eye contact with Jackson until he began to slowly take off her jacket. She swallowed a lump of nerves before she dropped her body back to the ground and his lips met hers again. This time it was different. Jackson was taking a more gentle approach with her. As his hands slid along her stomach, her back arched slightly while a soft moan left her lips. At that moment, she was forgetting all about the scars she got from that night. Instead she was just thinking about how her body reacted as his hands trailed along her body. Her own hands moved to slip his shirt off which caused them to break their kiss briefly. As their lips crashed back together, she felt Jackson’s fingers move over the raised scar on her left shoulder. Natalie drew in a sharp breath of air as she pulled away form him. Panic began to set into her chest, not because of what they were doing but because he could see the ugly marks of that night.
”Jackson I need my sweater. I-I need it now.” Her breathing became labored as she moved to scramble out from under him. Her right hand reached up to cover at her scar as she crawled for her sweater. She kept her back to Jackson as she slipped it back on. Her eyes closed as she tried to push back the memory of the doctor’s working at her burnt flesh from her mind.

jackson had dated more girls than he cared to count, starting from a pretty young age. he had been eleven when he successfully asked a girl out, loosing his virginity at thirteen. by that time he'd been through three girls, and soon broke up with that one, too. trying people on had become a quick habit of jackson's and likely wouldn't change unless for some reason he decided to grow up and act like a man. not likely. part of him thought in the future he might like to find a nice girl, like natalie, settle down, have kids. maybe even get married, eventually. but he didn't see it happening anytime soon, if ever. "more than you'd think," jackson informed her with a smirk. she was not the rule, since most girls were taken in by his looks and 'charm'. natalie was not so shallow, however. he gave a short laugh when she asked for his number instead. well, that was different. but then, she was different, so he shouldn't have been surprised. "alright, fine," jackson answered, still smiling. "i can type it in for you, if you want." he knew natalie wouldn't fall for it, though. she was just too damn smart. he finally gave it to her, watching as she added it to her contacts. "make sure you label it 'jackson', not to be confused with 'jackass'," he instructed her jokingly.
natalie's reaction made his smile broaden some. "mmm.. yep. pretty much," jackson replied with a shrug. "not like i can't handle myself." he was obviously proud about his own abilities and was kind of hoping that the guy would want to fight, which would give him the opportunity to show off. no matter how bad he got beat up, if there was an audience, it was worth it, in his book. especially if natalie was in that audience. jackson tried not to make a face when she referenced a case study. on discovering his brain cancer, he'd felt like that's exactly what he'd been ever since. he didn't like being 'studied'. "maybe.. but i think there's more to it than that," he replied, giving no sign of how he disliked her comment, even though she hadn't meant anything by it. after all, she didn't know.
jackson wondered if natalie was picking up on the charge between them. maybe part of it was the alcohol, though more on her side than his. mostly he figured it was because of their physical contact at that moment. plus, her being a first timer only added to that. "really? no, i don't go for the boring types. besides, it's way too easy." jackson liked a good chase, like natalie had become. she may not be easy to get, but he was sure it'd be worth it in the end. she was definitely feisty, though clearly still trying to find her footing, and he had no problem helping her in that endeavor. "oh, i know. it's a disappointment, but i'm sure i'll get over it." it didn't phase jackson much that she wasn't into him, at least, outside of physical attraction, because he already knew that was there. of course, she was probably attracted to most guys at this point. natalie was a teenager who'd probably never even seen a guy naked before, so that wasn't surprising. but it would take a guy with a better, nicer, personality than himself to make her fall for someone and he knew it.
he could tell that she was enjoying herself, only hoping it would last. maybe natalie wasn't ready for it, but on the other hand maybe he could convince her to go through with it. jackson was pretty good at that sort of thing, though with this girl he hadn't had much luck so far, so who knew. she responded as he'd suspected when he went for the gentler approach. he had to prove to her that he could and would be, otherwise he'd lose his chance. jackson felt her pulling his shirt off, breaking the kiss for a moment so she could, then returning to it as soon as his shirt was removed. he moved his hands out from under her shirt and to her shoulders, reminding himself to be gentle as he ran his fingers over them. he felt a slight raise on her left shoulder, but didn't really think much of it, until she gasped and pulled away. jackson was confused, thinking he'd hurt her somehow, but unable to figure out how that could have happened. "what?" he asked in a surprised tone.
jackson felt her trying to get out from under him and moved off of her. "ok, ok." he had no idea what her problem was, but it was obvious she wasn't mad at him. he watched as she retrieved her sweater, covering something on her shoulder with a hand. jackson realized he must have touched a scar from that night. the night she still hadn't totally gotten over. he stood up, but made no move to put his shirt back on, hoping he'd still have his chance. he approached natalie quietly, her back to him, and slid his arms around her from behind, holding her gently in his arms. this was the most dangerous thing about jackson. the thing that made so many girls fall in love with him that he felt nothing more than lust for. he could behave as if he really cared, maybe even loved them, but he always had a selfish motive. not every girl fell for it, but a lot did, only to be dumped when they got too clingy or became boring to him.
jackson placed soft kisses on her neck, before speaking in a low tone. "don't worry, scars don't scare me," he told her, trying to lighten her up a bit and hoping it'd work. "they say chicks dig scars, but really, it's the other way around." he slowly moved his hand to where it was and hoped she wouldn't freak. jackson wanted natalie to get used to the idea of him knowing about it, touching it, and even seeing it. "show me?" he asked, moving to carefully remove her sweater again. "i promise i won't scream and run," he told her in a more joking tone as he turned her around to face him. ___________________________________________________________________________ Word Count one zero five two Inspiration hold on - colbie caillat Tags natalie Status complete Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Picture By VIA CRUZ @ caution 2.0

Natalie was falling for guys lines at times but other times she called them on their bull. Jackson was one who used every line on nearly every girl so she had no issues calling him out on it. Plus, it was kind of fun to do so. Even if she wasn’t close friends with him, she knew his reputation. So Natalie knew exactly everything she was doing talking to him. Her father would be having a heart attack right now. Between her outfit, the drinking and her semi-flirting with Jackson. Yeah, she’d be a definite dead girl if he was here. When Jackson reached for her phone, Natalie pulled it away. ”No. No one touches my phone. Just tell me it.” He kept trying to reach for it but she’d just pull it back away again until he relented. As her fingers typed she snorted in humor. ”What’s the difference between them?” Natalie looked up through her lashes at him as she finished typing out his name and then put her phone back in her jeans.
”You know you can’t go your whole life like this Jackson? Picking fights, sleeping with any girl who will and getting trashed. Have fun with it while you can.” Natalie was enjoying herself but she was a realist. She knew one day high school would pass and she’d have to grow up. Mainly because her family really didn’t have much money so she had to make her own way in the real world. Her head tilted to the side as a soft smile played on her lips. ”Ok you don’t go for the boring types but when we first met I’m sure. I could be categorized as boring. I think you broke your own rule.” Natalie had a feeling tonight was going far different then how she originally planned. She had planned that aside from drinking she wouldn’t be doing anything memorable. At the way her blood was coursing and her heart was racing, Natalie’s resolve was breaking. still, she knew Jackson wasn’t a guy for her to fall for. Not because she wasn’t willing but because she just too screwed up for any sort of real relationship.
At this point, Natalie stopped thinking rationally. She stopped thinking about every value she had held close up until this point in her life. All she thought about was how good it felt to run her hands along his bare chest. He may not be ripped but that didn’t mean he was a twig either. His own hand felt good across her bare abdomen. He had yet to reach further up though she was beginning to ache for it. If it wasn’t for his hand brushing over her scar she would have kept this up. Natalie was very self conscious about her three scars. She honestly wasn’t sure what would happen come summer unless she always wore jeans and a tshirt but then she couldn’t go swimming. She figured she had a few months to get over that issue, not a few minutes.
She pushed herself up off the floor to straighten herself out. That was done more out of nerves then anything else. She could count on one hand the number of people aside from medical staff and police who had seen her injuries from that night. Jackson was not one of them. As he came up behind her, her spin stiffened under her touch. Every time they interacted she had a freak out of some sorts. It was no wonder some kids at school had a few nick names for her if she acted like this all the time. Tears stung the back of her eyes as she drew in a deep breath. His lips along her skin caused her to tilt her neck to the side while she relaxed just slightly.
Her easing up didn’t last long as Jackson moved his hand close to her shoulder. She drew her shoulders up in defense while she brought her arms up to wrap around her waist. Which, conveniently, is where his were so they ended up being placed on top of his. ”Jackson-” she paused as she allowed him to remove her little sweater though her body was still tense. ”Jackson it’s not the only scar from that night.” Her voice was soft while she adjusted herself as they came face to face again. She shifted uncomfortably in front of him as she licked her lips. ”Just, I don’t really show them off because I don’t like people asking questions about them.” Natalie hated to talk about that night. She had told Jackson so at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. And allowing her scars to be on display meant risking questions about that night. She knew she couldn’t hide them forever bu she wanted to hide them just a little while longer. If she could do that then everything would be fine. Natalie just needed to find some confidence concerning her marks was all; to not care about them. Right now she cared about them a lot so felt weird to have them out to be seen.

one of the reasons a lot of jackson's tricks didn't work on natalie was because she knew his reputation too well. he was getting pretty predictable, apparently, but that didn't mean he was about to change any time soon. he liked the way he operated, even if she seemed to be immune to it, but there were plenty of girls out there who weren't. jackson wondered what her father would think if he knew she was at this party, drinking and flirting. he'd probably keel over. he smirked and shrugged, taking a sip of his drink before answering. "can't blame a guy for tryin." he laughed when at her comeback. "you're gettin better at those," jackson told her with a wink. whoever her 'coach' was seemed pretty good.
"really? who says?" he figured he could do pretty much anything he wanted. that didn't mean he wouldn't suffer the consequences, and jackson was well aware of that fact. but he saw that as being his business, and only his. just like he wouldn't tell natalie what to do with her life, he certainly didn't want her doing the same to him. or anyone else, for that matter. "not at all. if you'll remember, you were as sassy as hell. i think i'm pretty good at pickin em by now," jackson informed her with a smirk. "one thing about me, i never break my own rules. everyone else's are fair game, though." he may not have been completely truthful about his own, but it was true enough that he didn't care to follow anyone else's no matter who they were.
slowly but surely, she was losing her resolve against giving into him. jackson could feel it. her soft hands across his chest were a nice touch to their kissing and his own roving hands. he should have moved up further instead of running his hands along her shoulders. if it hadn't been for that, he may have had her topless by that point, but he'd accidentally placed his hand on a scar that he hadn't known was there. even if jackson had known, he probably wouldn't have realized how self conscious she was about it. none of that matter now, however, since the damaged was done. he still had hope for the night, though.
he felt natalie stiffen at his touch, but didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her. she would have to get used to it if he was going to get anywhere. he heard and felt her take a deep breath, but she seemed to relax when jackson drew kisses along the skin of her neck. it had worked just a few minutes before, and he was relieved to find that it did once again. though he still had some work to do to get her back to where they had been, since natalie hadn't relaxed all that much, yet. just a little bit, but it was a start.
jackson saw her shoulders raise in defense as he began removing her sweater. again, he continued to do so, despite that, just carefully. she said his name, but paused as he successfully removed it, even though she had stiffened up again, and turned her around to face him. "where are the others?" jackson asked, wondering just how many more there were. he wasn't real worried about it, aside from the fact that other people touching them seemed to freak natalie out. it would be best to stay clear of the others for the time being, probably. she looked uncomfortable as she stood in front of him, jackson noticed, and waited for her to speak. "well, you don't have to worry about me asking. i promise i won't," he told her, crossing his heart and giving her a wink. "now.." he said, crossing his arms and pretending to think. "where were we?" he placed his hands on natalie's waist, bringing her closer to him and slowly pulling her shirt off over her head. then jackson kissed her on the mouth again, more passionate than before, but not as aggressive as the ones they'd shared a little while ago. he backed her up against the wall, moving from her mouth, to her throat and continuing downwards as he pinned her there. ___________________________________________________________________________ Word Count seven zero six Inspiration hold on - colbie caillat Tags natalie Status complete Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Picture By VIA CRUZ @ caution 2.0

”Time. Eventually we all reach an age where we can’t move as fast as we once were able to.” Natalie didn’t want to come off as naggy so she figured that should suffice. This was a party and while she had no issues telling Jackson what she thought, she came to have fun tonight. How it all became so serious was beyond her. Now she just wanted to move past it. Natalie’s head fell back slightly as she laughed. ”Oh sassy? I think you’re delusional. I was very composed and polite as I told you to bug off.” That wasn’t true as Natalie had been rather forceful in trying to get away from him. So now she could see where he got sassy from. Perhaps that’s why she was changing so quickly.
Natalie wasn’t just afraid of people asking about the scars. She was always afraid of what people may think. Guys with scars? Hot. Girls with scars? Not so much. Even she sort of knew that. Especially where her scars weren’t pretty. Sure the ones on her shoulder and ankle looked like “normal” scars with lines but the one on her side was ugly. It was jagged and looked almost like a lightning bolt, just without the squared off edges. And it was large. Started on her hip and went down her thigh about three inches. All in all, the scar was about nine inches long and she hated it. The widest part of the scar was three inches which was the part along her thigh. The rest of it was about half an inch to an inch wide. Swimming for her seemed out of the question this summer unless she wore men’s swim shorts. That seemed to be the only solution as Natalie didn’t want anyone to see the ugly marks from that night which still plagued her.
Jackson knew what to do to ease her worries and stress. Then again, being a novice with all of this, it was fairly easy to get her relaxed as he moved to hit general arousal zones. Still, it was hard for her. There was so much damage done from her being kidnapped. Even she wasn’t aware of the full extent of it. Some of it was a situation to situation basis. When thrust into certain things, sometimes there was a trigger and Natalie just flipped from being perfectly ok to flipping out.
Natalie watched him as he removed her sweater. Once it was free of her arms, she gazed down at the scar. Her tank top hid part of it but not all of it which is why she had thrown on the shrug cardigan. With a sharp inhale of breath, Natalie looked towards the ground. ”I have one on my lower left leg, a couple inches above my ankle. And another rather large one. It goes from my right hip and down my thigh.” Her voice was soft as she swallowed a lump. Not many people knew about her physical disfigurements from that night and telling him was a huge deal. Not a huge deal like she was in love with him or anything but because he’d know a secret of hers. Oh, well. It seemed fair since she knew one of his and his was rather larger then her own. ”I’m not worried about you asking but one of them, the large one, isn’t very pretty. I even have troubles looking at it is all…” Then again, Natalie had troubles looking at nay of her scars. And there were some days she had troubles looking at her own reflection in general. When she did, she saw a very broken girl looking back at her.
Natalie couldn’t help but chuckle under her breath at how he pretended to be all serious. She watched his every movement and despite still being nervous she allowed him to remove her shirt. Where her jeans were ones that rested on her hips, the very top of the other scar was beginning to peak out. Natalie tried not to think about it as his lips captured hers in another slew of heated kisses. Her hands rested on his upper arms as she was a little unsure what to do now as she stood there in her bra. When her back hit the wall, her head pressed back against it as her breathing came out heavy with him breaking the kiss. Natalie shifted her weight against him. Part of her thought about stopping it because of how she had just reacted but she was also enjoying herself too much. She bit down on her lip as his lips continued their welcomed assault on her skin.
