Sophie was having fun at the park with her cousin, Leila, and the daughter of one of Leila’s friends. Sophie had been in Hope Harbor for about three weeks now. It had taken a little while for the family to warm up to her but now they were starting to accept her. The two girls went on frequent trips together to try to get to know one another. Sometimes Anastasia went with them. Today Leila had actually forgotten she had to pick the little THREE year old so Samuel could go on a date. Sophie had yet to meet him but her cousin swore he had no issue with her hanging around his daughter. She hoped it was so because she loved being around her. Sophie had been teaching her different things in sign language such as love, more, daddy and candy. The last one was more for her own amusement then anything else. Leila was laying out some snacks and drinks while Sophie and Anastasia played together. She couldn’t help but laugh whenever she tried to do the sign for candy. The little girl was determined to learn that one to ask her father for some. And Sophie was more then willing to help her out. She looked over at Leila occasionally. Honestly, she liked keeping Anastasia occupied more. She knew about her cousins condition and knew sometimes it hurt being around kids. At least Leila had found someone who took her mind off things. Or, that was the rumor. Leila hadn’t said anything to anyone herself but one of her brothers was telling people he thought she was with someone. Dinner sometimes was pick on Leila nights. Sophie didn’t want to interject anything because she was so new here. Sophie laughed as Anastasia run around looking at different bushes at the area around them. Sophie had to push herself up to run after her. A few times she shouted ouch because she had taken her sneakers off. ”Anastasia slow down! I don’t have your energy.” The little girl laughed and plopped on the ground. Sophie herself collapsed on her back next to her. Laughter escaped her own lips. ”You are going to be the death of me!” All of a sudden Anastasia clapped her hands and did the sign for daddy. Sophie nodded her head. ”Yes that’s right, daddy! He’ll be so proud when he sees you do that!”outfit: here |

Today was a good day Sammy had met a girl who seemed sweet and funny and this girl had agreed to go on a date with him, for Sammy it had felt like ages since he had a date and he wanted to make sure it went well which meant he needed Leila to watch Ana for him so the girl wouldn't freak since he never got to telling this girl he was a father and still married for that matter. Sammy had been laying in his bed thinking of things to do on this date of his and he felt so rusty he didn't want to do anything to formal and nothing to dorky. After thinking some more Sammy got up and shrugged the thoughts out of his head he will just wing it. Sammy had been up for hours and it was time to get Ana up ad ready to go see Leila. Walking to his daughter's room Sammy woke her up softly and pulled her up into his arms and got her ready then ad he got her baby bag ready Sammy decided to call Leila to come get her.
It was an hour later when Leila had pulled up and walked to his room Sammy was in a towel for he was getting ready for a shower when she showed up hey Lei Ana is in her room playing" he said pointing to the room, he walked up to Leila ands gave her a hug and kiss then shook his head "Thanks for taking her I really want this date to go well" he said as he took his ring off and put it on his side table not wanting to get it wet and he went to his bathroom and get in the shower while Leila took Ana and left. After a nice long Shower Sammy feel so fresh and he began to gather some clothes and find something nice to wear. Once finding a nice polo shirt and some dark jeans Sammy paired them with some plain black vans and and ran some gel though he tousled short hair and decided he looked good enough he didn't need to check he grabbed his wedding ring slipped it back on then shook his head and put it in his pocket so he could still have it on him. Sammy brushed his teeth then as he was done he checked the clocked saw the time and grabbed his keys and wallet and headed out to pick up his date.
Sammy picked up his date ten minutes after he left the house and he asked her where she wanted to go and she didn't care so he decided the park would be nice they can walk and talk. Sammy started he car and drove to the nicest park he knew about and chatted with this girl Jasmin as he drove to the park. Finally at the park Sammy parked his car turned it ff and got out then went to Jasmin's side and let her out. Holding out his Hand Jasmin took it and got out once out Sammy locked the car and took her hand and walked down the park. This date seemed to be starting out well and he was chatting up a storm as he got farther in the parked her spotted Ana and his heart jumped afraid she might yell daddy and it would ruin his date before if even started but he took a deep breath and walked up and all she did was do a sign and Sammy looked at her odd then smiled to see Leila and what he guess was her cousin "Hey lei and you must be the cousin" he said as Ana came running up and grabbing his legs and Jasmin waved and looked at Sammy.

Sophia loved when she got to hang out with Leila while she babysit Anastasia. She didn’t have siblings nor didn’t know her cousins growing up so any type of interaction with people she treasured. The fact that Leila included her made her feel special. Plus, Anastasia was just a doll.e specially when she got excited about things. Like now, with her father showing up. Sophie looked up and flushed. Not only was Samuel cute but he was there with his girlfriend and saw her playing with his daughter when they had yet to meet. How embarrassing! Normally she was so good about meeting a kids parent first. What she did find odd is that Samuel had a band on his left finger. Sophie tilted her head in confusion. She could’ve sworn Leila said he was just out on a date with someone he had met. Was he cheating on his wife? Or was this girl actually his wife and Sophie had just heard Leila wrong? She made a mental note to ask her cousin later. For now, she laughed as she watched Anastasia hug her father’s legs. The little girl was just too cute.
Oops, where were her manners! She still hadn’t said anything to Samuel. ”Yeah, I’m Sophie. Nice to finally meet you.” Leila stood up and extended her hand in greeting. Then she smiled and extended it to the very pretty blond girl. ”Hi, I’m Sophie. I just hang out with Anastasia’s babysitter is all. I will leave you two be.” Sophie dipped her head to excuse herself then went over to her cousin after she extended her hand, hoping Anastasia would come back with them. She turned her head towards her cousin who she looked very similar to and dropped her jaw. Afterwards she mouth, ’What do I do?’ to her. She didn’t know what to say to Samuel or his date? It’s not like she was Anastasia’s babysitter nor could she tell what the two on the date were talking about. Hell, she was confused if the two were on their first date like Leila said or already married because of his ring! ”Come on Ana Lamb, lets go color! I found some coloring pages online that I printed of princesses!” Hopefully this worked well enough because Sophie hated awkward situations and this was definitely and awkward situation.

Sammy smiled at Sophie and shook her hand as did the blonde he then picked up Ana and hugged her then put her back down "Nice to meet you Sophie. I haven't heard much about you but maybe one day we can sit and chat" he said with a chuckle then took his dates hand and smiled. Sammy was feeling very awkward since he has yet to mention that Ana was is little girl he looked at his date then at Sophie "This is Jasmin my date" he said smiling then waved at Leila. Sammy was wondering should he stay and hang or end his date early he was just confused on what to do. Jasmin tugged on Sammy's hand and he looked at her and she was nodding to him about moving to talk in private and Sammy's heart started to race, had Jasmin caught on about his little girl Ana he sure hoped if she did that she didn't care. Sammy and Jasmin walked over to a bench and she began talking and making alot of hand gestures. Sammy began to look sad but he then started talking and making just as much hang gestures as his date did.
After a while Sammy and his date stopped talking and she stood up gave him a look and began to walk off and Sammy looked sad he headed his way over to Sophie and Leila and grabbed Ana "Well another date down the drain thanks to my little girl but hey its her loss because my Ana comes before anyone" he said tickling Ana then giving her some kisses then hugging her "Sorry if you guys saw that I think i will just take Ana home and watch a movie...you guys are welcome to come" he said to Sophie and Leila and began to walk toward his car to go home.
