though kitty wasn't saying as much, jackson wondered if it was more than just high metabolism and lots of activity that kept her so thin, though that was none of his business so he wasn't about to say anything about it. he didn't know why he got that impression, but he did. of course, he could have been wrong. "i'm the same way," jackson replied, happy that he didn't have to worry about weight issues. for him, working out was an option, not a must.
jackson glanced at her when she didn't reply right away. apparently he'd hit a nerve. "ehh. who needs 'em?" he said, making it more of a statement than a question. he knew what it was like, not having a father. his own had divorced his mom when jackson was only four years old, so it wasn't like he could remember him that well. a few things here and there but if not for pictures he'd seen of him, he wouldn't even remember what he looked like. not that he cared to, since he obviously didn't give a damn about any of them. it was only natural for him to be a bit bitter about it.
he gave her an amused glance. so she'd noticed him quite a bit over the years. "have you now," jackson replied, another one of those cocky grins on his face. he took a sip of coffee, slurping a bit, since it was still pretty hot. now that he thought back, he'd noticed her eye on him from his first day of school there and on up. jackson had watched her from time to time as well, though with so many good looking girls around, it was hard to focus on just one for an extended period of time.
jackson grinned as he watched her squirm, finally returning his attention to his sandwich as he took another bite from it. he was disappointed to find that it was almost gone. he didn't want to know what all the ingredients were, since it couldn't be healthy; he just wanted to enjoy it, since mcgriddles were pretty much his favorite fast food to eat. "maybe, maybe not," jackson replied, still confident that he'd keep her from doing so. she thought herself sneaky, and maybe she was, but he was good at catching people in their sneakiness.

She smiled softly, not really sure how to answer him. Honestly she didn't care for her mother much either anymore. There was no love in Casa de Garcia. Mostly just expectations. Kitty simply felt it was her responsibility to take care of her mother. If she didn't, who would? Someone needed to put her to bed and clean up the bottles of alcohol. Last thing she needed was the police on her case. It was early in the morning but she was sure her mother was unconscious, sleeping off the booze more than likely. She had heard her get home that morning while she was in the shower, cursing up a storm as she stumbled around before finally making it to her room. Kitty had ignored it, like most days. Her mother would sleep all day then go to work that night around dinner leaving Kitty home alone for the rest of the night. Maybe it was a good thing they never saw each other.
"Not really a fan of many adults right now." She admitted, grinning a bit as if she was joking around. She liked to blend in and try to be normal for the most part. She couldn't stand being pitied. "Too many rules." Even though she did what she wanted when she wanted to for the most part.
Kitty flushed again, noticing him do that stupid... adorable thing he did with... well his whole face and being. He knew the effect he had on women and here he was trying to work his magic on her! The nerve! Then again Kitty was just mad it was working. "Oh don't feel so high and mighty Jackson. I simply was curious about how many STDs you have gathered over the years and I'm simply taking bets with my friends on how many hearts you break before someone finally comes along and breaks yours. I am not interested in playing your games, I am only an observer." Which wasn't entirely true.
Even slightly flustered she managed to grin, watching him as she finished off her own meal and sipped at her coffee. So he thought he could catch her? Let him try. "Challenge accepted then my friend." She stuffed her extra pieces of clothing in her bag, finding it rather warm in the building and was only going to admit that it was partially Jackson's fault. She was sure she wouldn't need her jacket.
"Unfortunately I did have a reason for coming here. I need new shoes. I kind of ruin them quickly and frankly I'm not that big on shopping but I'm a huge fan of wasting time, especially when I'm suppose to be in class. You wanna stick around and waste some time with me?" She tilted her head to the side slightly, looking rather adorable for someone who didn't spend time trying to look so. "Don't make me beg please, I'm in need of company and if you make me beg I will embarrass you."

jackson knew how she was feeling. aside from his family there were no adults that he had any liking for, especially if they had some authority over him. he hated that, because in his mind he didn't have to listen to anyone and he definitely didn't want to. "you sound like me," jackson replied, looking at her for a moment. kitty was like a female version of himself, sort of. not exactly, of course. but they both had daddy issues, authority problems and were in to guy things.
he nearly laughed out loud when she flushed, knowing it was from the looks he gave her. jackson raised an eyebrow out her little speech, a half smirk, half smile on his face. this kind of talk didn't bother him; he'd heard it all before and found it entertaining, especially coming from kitty. it was pretty clear that she was crushing on him so what she said was just a coverup. no, he wasn't fooled. "stds..?" jackson half questioned, pretending to have to think about whether he'd had any or not. "nada." despite all his sleeping around, he was careful about it, so he really had never caught anything. or maybe it was just luck. "as far as my heart, no one can get to it, let alone break it." jackson didn't believe in love. sure, the kind he had for his family, but as far as falling in love with someone, he didn't think it was real. there was lust, of course, and he was good friends with that. but he was convinced he'd never fall for a girl, even if he made her think he had, just to get in her pants. to jackson, that's all it was about. if someone wasn't attractive to him physically, forget it.
"yeah, you're an observer, but i don't believe for a second that you're not interested," jackson replied with a cocky smirk. it was written all over her face, and anyone who missed it was obviously an idiot. he smiled when she accepted his 'challenge' and took another sip of coffee. it wasn't bad, for mcdonalds. jackson stood up, heading over to the garbage can and tossed his junk in. he turned back to her as she started talking about shopping. he wasn't a huge fan of it, either, but it was better than class. in fact, he was pretty sure that anything was better than class. before he could answer she told him not to make her beg. "hm.. really? i don't get embarrassed easily," jackson informed her. "and i'd love to watch you beg." he crossed his arms, a cocky grin on his face as he stood there, waiting for kitty to do what she'd threatened to do.

Kitty grinned but died a little inside. Great, she was pretty sure she was just friend-zoned. Although she really couldn't be too upset, she knew they thought similarly at least some of the time, it was one of the reasons she started to like him way back when. Although she had convinced herself it was better if he never knew how she felt or... how she REALLY felt. Jackson seemed to know she fancied him but Kitty was sure he didn't understand how much.
"Yeah yeah yeah..." She murmured, trying hard to go back to her normal shade of color. "You wanna bet? I'll bet you you'll fall for a girl one day and she's gonna stomp all over your shriveled heart." She grin, half teasing him. Everyone had their soul mate and sadly Kitty was sure it wasn't her.
Kitty wasn't much on shopping herself, mostly because she didn't have the money to spend usually. So wanting things was almost painful. Luckily Kitty was pretty good at swallowing feelings. She glanced down at her shoes, knowing they were starting to wear thin. The snow didn't help that nor did all the running around she did.
Kitty grinned from ear to ear, hearing the challenge. "Fine but you asked for it." She said simply, setting her bag down on the floor with her skateboard. She cleared her throat, a little loudly before kneeling on the floor in front of him. She grabbed the leg of his pants and then proceeded to speak... rather loudly. "Oh please Jackson! If we don't get married the baby will be without a father! How could you knock me up and expect me to take care of it on my own? You told me you loved me... you're a bastard!" There wasn't too many people around, it was rather too early, but there were a few. They glanced over and watched this poor girl on the verge of tears begging for his help. It was a small town, Kitty was sure news traveled fast and she had indeed warned him.

jackson didn't really have any female friends that were just friends. that really wasn't his style, since he was attracted to most girls, and the ones he wasn't attracted to he didn't really bother with. not even a friendship, though there were a few who he'd only gone as far as flirting with, but that didn't mean he planned on keeping it that way.
he smiled, shrugging, when kitty told him what she thought. "who knows? but you look far too happy about it." and she did, with that big grin on her face. not that jackson was worried about it, since he knew it would never happen. he always thought he knew more than he actually did, however, so maybe he was wrong. but that was a very small chance.
jackson didn't particularly like shopping, though it depended on the kind. if it was grocery shopping, he hated it. for clothes shopping it was usually only a mild dislike, though if it went on for too many hours he got bored with it and wanted to stop. he had an easy time when he was shopping for himself because he knew what he wanted and could be done with it quickly. if he was helping a girl, though, they usually took forever. jackson figured kitty wouldn't, however, since she wasn't a girly girl.
his expression didn't change when kitty told him he'd asked for it, sure that there was no way she could embarrass him. jackson actually couldn't remember the last time he'd been embarrassed, and he was curious to see how she thought she could do it. he looked down at her when she grabbed his pant leg, raising an eyebrow at her antics. jackson grinned at her little speech, which she pretty much had yelled. no, he wasn't the least bit embarrassed by it. "guess i lied," he replied with a wink as he shrugged. anyone looking on would think he was a total jerk, though that didn't really bother him, since he didn't care what people thought about it, for the most part. jackson pulled his leg back and out of her grip, waved at her a little, then began walking towards the shoe stores with that swagger of his. he was grinning from ear to ear as he did so, knowing she'd catch up before long.

Kitty, despite herself, grinned and got up, chasing after him. "Oh you bastard!" She found it all rather amusing, not giving two shits what anyone else thought. She wouldn't even care if, well rather, when the kids in school came up to her and nagged her to find out if she really was pregnant. She already knew what most were gonna say. They were gonna call her a liar and tell her she would never get with anyone like Jackson and she was just trying to ruin his name and get noticed. Which wasn't all true. She couldn't deny that she liked attention sometimes, good or bad.
She skidded to a stop and jumped on his back, grinning and laughing at him. "Don't just run off on me!" She teased, knowing she wasn't very heavy at all so there was little chance of her breaking him but she still slid off after a second, glad to see the shoe store wasn't too far away.
She grinned and set her board down on the ground, gliding across the tile over to the store, sticking her tongue out at Jackson, wanting to yell quite a few words at him. "Hey you can't blame a girl for trying." She came to an abrupt stop, grabbing the end of her board before tucking it under her arm. "Give me like five minutes and then we can go to the arcade and I can kick your ass in any game of your choosing." She spent way too much time there nowadays anyway.

jackson merely chuckled as she called him a bastard yet again, glancing back once at her as she chased after him, but not stopping. he or kitty, probably both, would no doubt hear about this at school. not that he really cared, and she obviously didn't either, or she wouldn't have yelled it. plus, she was grinning, so that sort of gave it away.
he jumped a little when she hopped on his back, not expecting it. jackson was going to grab under knees to tickle her, but she got off too soon. "i'll do what i want," he told her in a joking, cocky manner, making it obvious he wasn't serious. she was lighter than he expected, and he guessed she couldn't be more than a hundred pounds. "how much do you weigh?" of course, he knew that you should never ask a girl's weight, but then, jackson wasn't one for caring whether he should do something or not.
"oh, i absolutely can," he told her, placing his foot on the back of her board as she rolled by, laughing when it messed her up. "i will definitely kick your little ass," jackson informed her confidently. "at anything." he couldn't know how good she was at arcade games, but he knew how good he was and few people beat him. plus, jackson's ego told him he wasn't going to allow a girl to beat him.
