This was it! Everyone was inside and no one was out taking pictures anymore. When they were all distracted with the dancing Avery slipped out and made their way downstairs sending a text to Skylar. What? Did the fools seriously think that Sophie was Avery’s only helper? Not at all! Avery had gotten a list of people that would help them and now had a huge network of people that would help them take out their revenge. It wasn’t just Avery but it was a number of people that would help them out because of what happened to them personally. Once down stairs Avery made sure that the ones who were doing what they needed to do knew.
Grabbing their jacket that was ‘left’ down here they looked around and smiled. The Skylar’s were out there doing their jobs. Making their way back up to the party a small smile crept onto Avery’s lips. Oh yes, when these people left they would be getting a surprise. Now that breaks were getting cut! Moving back up to the party was a smart thing. No one would be able to know who was doing all of this. Sitting down at one of the tables they continued to watch the couple dance together. It was kind of endearing if only the couple knew what was going to happen.
Watching Lexi they growled seeing as the girl just shoved the box that had been on her chair into her purse. Pulling out their phone under the table they selected Lexi’s number and started typing up a text message.
The courteous thing to do when someone gets a present is to open it and not just shove it into your purse. -Avery
Pressing send they slipped the phone away and continued to watch Lexi for a second but then looked away back to the couple only watching Lexi from their peripheral vision. Lexi was going to be in for it if she didn’t comply! There would be a mass text going out about what happened to her little baby boy. In this town there was no secrets that Avery didn’t know. All one had to do was dig far enough into the past to find out what dirty little secrets these people possessed. Quickly their eyes moved back to Lexi as the text finally came through. Their attention returned back to the couple dancing. Checkmate!

Scott blinked. "Oh! My apologies! I didn't want to offend you if you liked being called by your last name." Scott smiled sheepishly.
He then paused when Liam asked the question, and looked down at the cat. "Oh? That's Simon. He always follows me wherever I go. He's really well-behaved, but if he gets to be a problem I can always take him back to my hotel room. He gets a little grumpy when surrounded by a lot of people." The cat eyed the men warily again, and flicked his tail in an annoyed manner. Simon meowed, and looked back up at Scott. Scott leaned down to pat Simon on the head while smiling. "See?"

Post by SUMMER LILA BANES on Mar 28, 2013 13:12:04 GMT -5
Summer's gold heels clicked against the stones under her feet as she walked. She'd been stuck on the phone with her new land lord, discussing the new apartment and the rules. He'd kept her on the phone for three hours discussing what she could and could not do, when the rent was due each month, what'd she agreed to when signing the contract, and anything else that came to his mind. Because of this, she hadn't been able to make it to the ceremony, but she was now walking down the pathway to the reception. The light in the distance looked romantic and inviting, bringing a smile to her face as she neared the venue, having already spotted Dominic's car among the others. As she stepped inside, she looked at all of the faces, finished with make up and looking wonderful under the overhead lights as some danced and some just spoke at the tables. She immediately spotted the bride and groom, but decided not to disturb either one just yet. She scanned the room and saw the red dress her niece was wearing, smiling once again at how adorable she was. She walked over to the young girl and saw Dom sitting next to her. "What'd I miss?" She asked him with a small laugh, shaking her head. If she'd had it her way, she'd have hung up on that man and made him leave a message. However, she knew better than to do something like that, and forced herself to stay kind through the entire conversation while her temper boiled inside. "Don't you look beautiful, Miss Everleigh?" She said with a bright smile to the little girl. "And your daddy matches you! Spiffy." She winked at Dom.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]the girl in the moon --- Lexi watched the cat as she took a couple steps. ”Ah well we all have quirks. No one would guess I’m a closet geek but that’s me.” Lexi could really care less. Yes, it was a bit off to have the cat around but that’s because there wasn’t a cat like that in town. There were some animals who roamed around freely enough either way so it’s not like it’d be too odd.
Lexi clasped her hands behind her back and twisted her body from side to side like a child. She playfully bit down on her lip as she looked at Jude. ”What? I did nothing wrong. That is how I greet the people I love” She began to laugh but thenher mouth fell open and she gasped as if what he said was horrifying. ”Ok if you don’t touch my WoW account I will gladly let you in for a water gun fight. I need to break in my grandparent’s house somehow.” Lexi’s brows knitted together as she tilted her head to the side. She just realized how wrong that sounded. She opened her mouth as if to say something but just closed it before she got herself in more trouble.
Her attention was turned from Jude to Liam when he pulled her into a hug. She smiled softly as their embrace broke. ”I’m good. Actually a little tired. I’ve been up since six helping with everything.” And then later she’d stay to help get everything else in order. There’d be a cleaning crew to take care of most things but Lexi was going to make sure no one left personal items behind and she was going to make sure all the gifts made it to the house. Thankfully Reagan and Alex planned to help though she’d prefer to do most of the work herself. It’d give her a good opportunity to be alone with her thoughts and emotions.
Lexi’s mother came by with her clutch saying her phone had been going off. How odd-Lexi could’ve sworn she had turned it off. She snapped open the overfilled clutch and pulled out her phone. A confused look came over her face as she read the message from the blocked number. Lexi glanced at the three men and since they were talking decided to pull out the envelope and look over it. Her face went ashen white as her hands began to shake. Why was this person doing this to her? No one could see this but no one could know what had happened in California. She looked around as she shoved the photo and note back in the envelope. She was trying to see if there was anyone from California she recognized. Aside from her family members there was no one. Lexi reached on a tray and grabbed a flute of champagne as the passed by and down it in one gulp. With her clutch closed she returned to the three men and pasted on a smile to hide her unease.
”So, the bride and groom are done dancing. Who is going to help me work up an appetite and take me for a spin on the dance floor?”

*---tonight is the night,A N D I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR IT ALL MY LIFE, WAITING FOR YOU TO SHOW ?!-------------------------------------------------- [/size] Liam shrugged and smiled at Scott. No harm done man. He didn't really mind too much when people called him Mr. Stirling. It just reminded him so much of his father, a man he didn't want to have anything in common with. Liam's worst nightmare was becoming even remotely like his father. He'd rather die a horrible, painful death, first. Liam smiled as Lexi dismissed the bit about the cat in her sweet little way. He actually had known that she was a bit of a geek. He'd heard her mention it once her twice in the past. Lexi must have been a dream wife for her late husband. Who wouldn't want a girlfriend/wife that liked gaming and science fiction movies?!
I thought they would have hired all that out. He winked. Maybe you can sneak away and get a nap later. Liam knew what it was like to be exhausted and to have to keep going anyways. He was there with work quiet often. Sometimes, Liam was enjoying whatever he was drafting, so much so, that he just couldn't stop to sleep. He usually regretted in the next day.
As Liam stood there, half listening to Jude and Scott, he pretended not to notice Lexi pull something out of her clutch. Something that apparently wasn't very good news if the expression on her face was any indication. He couldn't help but wonder what was going on, and if everything was alright with her. But it wasn't the time or place. He'd check in with her later. Sure they weren't close. But Liam liked to check in on his friends.
Liam took his chance when Lexi asked someone to dance with her. That'll be me then. He smiled charmingly and gave Lexi his arm. Liam was quite a good dancer. He hadn't had a chance to use his skills in a while, so this would be fun. As they walked onto the dance floor Liam assumed the proper position for a waltz. Liam guided her expertly around the floor. So how are you holding up Lexi? he asked kindly.

[/color] Jude nodded at Liam as he explained everything going on with him. It sounded very impressive. ”Wow. Well at least I get business from that. I’m sure you’ll need a lawyer to draw up the contracts when you do find a partner.” Soon enough Jude would be plenty busy. His dad’s business partner was leaving and it was Jude’s responsibility to take over. Jude wasn’t quite sure how he felt about that yet. Really, he had no choice but he wasn’t sure if he was glad for more responsibility or resentful. More and more, he was disliking his job as a lawyer. Mostly because of what his father had told him when Jude started working at the firm.
A kind smile was sent Scott’s way. ”Just call me Jude. If you ever need a lawyer then I’m Mister Winslet otherwise I feel old and stuffy hearing it.” Jude rolled his eyes at Lexi. ”Oh really? Since when did this start??” Suddenly he bent at the waist and doubled over in laughter. Lexi walked right into that one. ”I don’t think Daniel wants me to help you “break in” the house. Though it seems fitting. He marries Alex’s little sister, I should be able to marry his cousin and Alex can...well I have no female relatives so I guess marry your sister.” Jude was not prepared for the fist the pounded him in the arm. He knew he shouldn’t mess with anyone of the Zakarian blood line but it was unavoidable. That family could have a vicious temper when they needed it to come out.
Lexi walked away so he could focus back on the other two men. ”Ok no offense but what about when you go to work? He doesn’t go to work with you does he?” Jude chatted with the two men a bit longer until Lexi came back. At that time Isabella Helstrom came asking him to dance so he excused himself, leaving the other two men to decide who was to dance with Lexi. He kept a respectable distance between him and Isabella as they chatted. He finally decided they could at least talk about him being her lawyer. But talk only. He wanted to think some more. The two parted and he noticed an odd look on her face as she watched some people on the dance floor. Jude felt bad but his stomach was rumbling and he saw Sydni was finally done with whatever she had been doing. So the two sat to enjoy their food before they enjoyed a few dances. He stole Leila for one and then danced with Lexi as well as her sister. He was able to apologize to Natalie who said they could talk later which he was glad about.
Finally, after the bride and groom left, and the crowd was thinning out, Jude told his parents he was leaving. He and Sydni drove here separately so he got in his car and left the venue, a lot on his mind.

Scott tilted his head slightly at Lexi. "What would make people think you're a closet geek?" Some people in high school used to call him a geek, but that may have been because he was always interested in science, and he also did well in Latin.
Scott nodded at Liam while smiling, and looked at Jude. "I guess it's just a reflex I have. My grandmother used to always chastise me if I didn't refer to her or her coworkers by their last name." He shrugged sheepishly. He listened as the three others conversed with each other, and then blinked at Jude's question. "Well, actually, he comes with me to work most of the time. He usually is just in my office though, since one of the nurses is allergic to cats, but he doesn't cause any trouble. There are some days that he has to stay at the house, but he's a very well-behaved cat so that isn't much of a problem." Simon meowed boredly, and looked up at Scott with an annoyed expression, as though to say, 'Seriously? You don't need to ramble on about me, you know? Perfectly capable of just being here with this cat-forsaken collar.' At least, that may be what he would want to say if someone were to contemplate what a cat would say or think. Scott leaned down to pet the cat on the head again. "Everyone loves Simon, and I've never had to worry about what he may get up to when he's bored. Or grumpy. He sometimes can get grumpy." Simon the cat still definitely looked grumpy.
Lexi walked back to the group and Jude and Liam started to talk to her once more. Scott listened, happy as could be. Though... Scott noticed something was off. He wasn't too sure what it was, but he got the sense that something was off. He always had this feeling from time to time when looking at people. A good example was when he asked his brother about one of his vacations -it might have been Spring or Summer break during the college years- and his brother gave him a cryptic answer. This sometimes annoyed him that he felt this for no apparent. The three others looked happy and relaxed, at least he thought so. So why was he feeling that something was off? He decided to push the feeling away for a moment as Liam spoke to Lexi. Scott turned to look at Lexi. "Would you like me to hold your purse while you go dance, Miss Cr- Err, Alexandria? Or maybe put it somewhere safe at least?" He was starting to get better with addressing people by their first name, though the habits set in by his grandmother's lectures still got the best of him.
He was very much enjoying himself at this wedding. Just a few hours in Hope Harbor and he had already met a few of the people! He felt like he was already fitting in with the sleepy town; that he already had a foot in the right direction -or was it step? Step in the right direction? He hoped there was a position for him at the hospital -there had to be one, right? Miss Cro- Uh, Alexandria had mentioned that there were a few doctors around. At least he thought so, anyways. He was giddy. He already imagined his life around this place -again. He would smile and wave at his neighbors, and then drive to work. He would help people all day, and then leave for the day. He could imagine scenarios where he was hanging around with some friends -okay, so he only imagined these three people, since they were the only ones he knew at the moment. But still! He had yearned for this kind of life, and even though he was well-liked back at the Boston hospital, he still felt like he was an ant in a sea of sand. He didn't always know everyone at his job, and that frustrated him to no end. Here, he would get to know everyone, and he could converse with anyone he wished to talk to. It was like his hometown, though maybe a whole lot better than that place.

She wasn’t sure if there could be another that could touch it. Leila’s feelings were a mix of shock, joy and anxiousness. Mainly shocked to actually be married to someone as wonderful as Daniel and anxious to continue the night with everyone around. Mostly, though, the joy overwhelmed the two unpleasant emotions. Leila really couldn’t be happier. Until their daughter came, of course. That’d just be perfect. For the previous two years before getting with Daniel she didn’t think her life could get this good. She didn’t think any man could love her because of her condition and she definitely didn’t think she’d be able to have a child. Not because of lacking a man but because of her condition. Now Leila had both. Really, everything was better then she could have possibly dreamed.
Leila rolled her eyes towards the ceiling as Daniel leaned forward. Her hand played with his hair as he did so and while he straightened himself up. ”mmm unless said man climbs through her window. Then all those men will be unable to do a thing.” Being raised with brothers, the thought of having a little girl was exciting. She was sure it would be for her mother as well though she did worry about Daniel’s cousin. A sultry smile spread across her lips as she chuckled. ”Well, I think I can keep a secret. I have plenty of them.” Leila winked at her husband before her head lulled to the side. Between feeling extremely happy about today, the love she had for her husband and all the hormones coursing through her, Leila was ready to just skip the reception and go on their honeymoon.
Leila was correct in assuming her mother would be excited about being able to buy girl clothes. Leila spoke to her mother while Daniel and Lexi shared a moment. It warmed her heart seeing how good he was with his relatives because it made her even more confident he’d make an excellent father. This child was going to be showered in love. They both had such large and wonderful families so there really would never be a shortage of affection. Daniel had always been that way with Leila, even just a simple moment such as going up to the reception area. He kept a hand on her at all times or when they’re alone telling her how much he loved her. Blessed. That’s really how she felt.
Leila’s hand fiddled to smooth out the hair behind his ear while she looked over his visage. She kept her voice low, only for him to hear. ”Well maybe if you weren’t such a pain all the time that Scott temper would never flare up.” She leaned forward into him and laughed. ”At least with me you know how to end every fight.” Leila acted like she was going to kiss him but then pulled back. ”Now stop being mysterious! Where are we going on our honeymoon?” Daniel had insisted on it being a surprise which was very mean of him. Lexi just told her to pack for all weather climates and toss in a bathing suit for good measure. That could really fit for pretty much anywhere but no one would let her know. Hopefully not too far away. Or if it was Daniel better have plans for them to have a bit of time together before they started their drive, flew off or sailed away. Whatever they were doing.
As much as she wanted to keep dancing, the rumbling in her stomach told her she needed to eat. And soon. Leila made sure to eat every time she became hungry and munched on snacks in between. After they are would be the mother-son dance as well as the father-daughter one. Leila hoped that wouldn’t get rushed, though. Despite the early stages of the pregnancy her feet did tend to swell slightly. With the ceremony and pictures she just wanted to relax and enjoy her meal before she did anything else.

I could use somebody, I've been roaming around always looking down at all I see. Painted faces, fill the places I can't reach. You know that I could use somebody. Someone like you, and all you know and how you speak. Countless lovers under cover of the street. Landon’s life was going really well. He had a relationship with his birth mother, school was on track, his roommate would be gone come May and he finally loved someone again. Yes, loved. Landon loved Jesse but he was afraid to tell her. Why? Because he had his heart stomped on just a few years ago. While he didn’t think Jesse would do that, it often paralyzed with him fear. Of course he did things to show her he cared. Took care of her after her fall until he went to New York. Cooked for her, checked on her at the garage to make sure she was doing ok and took her dog for a walk if she couldn’t. even though she brought the little Terrier-which Landon had bought-to work but when it was busy, Landon took her out for a bit. Plus, it gave him another excuse to go see Jesse.
Today was the wedding of tow towns people. Honestly, Landon didn’t really know either of them but Jesse wanted to go so he agreed to go with her. He didn’t own a suit but he had some pieces that when thrown together looked dressy. A white button down, black slacks, a black vest and a bright crimson tie. Landon had to buy new dress shoes as his were well worn. And his parents had gotten him a nice watch for Christmas. With it all put together, he was dressed very sharp. He got ready at Jesse’s as he had stayed the night. She wore a magenta dress that was modest in what it covered but sexy in it hugged her curves just right. And the heels certainly added to the appeal. He was tempted to make them a little late for the wedding but she rally wanted to go.
They got there well before the ceremony and socialized. Mainly Jesse talked to her family and some friends. Landon talked to people as well but most of them were people he wasn’t close to. Except for Kitty but he’d snag her later for a dance as long as Jesse consented. He was Jesse’s date after all so he didn’t want to do anything to upset her. As it drew closer to the ceremony, the two settled into seats with Jesse’s sister. The ceremony was nice and a bit humorous. The two really seemed in love. In retrospect, he doubted he’d have had a ceremony like this with his ex. While Landon practically worshipped her, she hadn’t felt as strongly. Now, Landon had room for someone he could invest into a real relationship with.
They stood to clap for as the couple was presented and he pressed a kiss to Jesse’s cheek. Slowly everyone made their way upstairs. As soon as Jesse’s things were on the table he wrapped his arms around her from behind and growled playfully into her neck. ”So how many Kleenex’s were dropped on that floor upstairs between you and your sister?” Landon was only teasing as he nuzzled against her neck. He no longer really cared if her parents saw or not. They were dating and nothing was going to change that, no matter if they still hated him or now liked him.

dominic grinned when madison shied away. "yeah, you remember everleigh?" he asked her, leading his own daughter by the hand to madison. "say hi, ev." everleigh smiled and said hi, waving one hand at the other little girl. he looked up at willow and smiled, then back at the two little girls. they had always got along well.
everleigh giggled as well, her smile widening. dominic laughed when she thanked him. "you're very welcome, sweetie," he replied. he stood up to return to his seat along with everleigh, seating her on the side closest to madison. he handed her her stuffed animal, placing her snack and water bottle near by so he could hand them to her easily. dominic didn't want to chance her starting to fuss during the ceremony and disturb anyone.
he wondered how willow was handling it. seeing a young couple happily married. dominic figured she was taking it about as well as he was, maybe even worse. at least his ex-wife was still alive. she'd lost her fiance. he glanced over at her once, seeing her tear up, but it could have been from a different reason. he doubted it, though. he brought his attention back to the goings on, glancing down at everleigh once in a while to make sure she was keeping out of trouble. she was preoccupied with her stuffed dog, mostly, which was fine with dominic. so long as she was quiet.
he looked over at willow when he felt a hand on his. dominic smiled back, knowing what she meant by the gesture. he would be there for her whenever she needed it, too. it wasn't easy being a single parent, but if you had a friend to help and support you, that helped. the ceremony ended, and dominic waited till it was their turn to leave their row. he picked up everleigh and they went to congratulate the happy couple.
he took her upstairs next, pointing out all the pretty decorations to her. everleigh looked around in awe at all the lights, and he had to laugh. dominic found a table for them to sit at, and got her settled in a chair with her things. he took his seat as well, listening to her laugh as he made her little dog talk. he wondered where summer was, figuring she would have been there already and wondering what was holding her up. just then, he heard her voice behind him and stood up, smiling. "pretty much everything," dominic teased with a laugh. "what was the hold up?" everleigh looked up at her aunt and smiled when she complimented her. she thanked her, but had soon returned all her attention to her toy. she had quickly warmed up to her, despite not remembering ever meeting her. obviously she couldn't have. "do i get extra points?" he asked with a grin, when summer mentioned the two matching.

Post by DANIEL MARCUS ZAKARIAN on Apr 1, 2013 13:40:34 GMT -5
The wedding day had been amazing! There was nothing more that Daniel could really ask for. Today the man had married the girl he had fallen for so long ago, he found out that they were going to have a daughter and it was finally legal that they were husband and wife. Now they were here on the dance floor and he was holding her in his arms. Slowly he slid his hand down her side and onto her belly gently feeling the bump. That was their little girl. A huge grin broke out onto his lips as he looked into her eyes.
When she spoke up about the boy sneaking into her bedroom through the window he laughed and looked at her. “If they are able to do that than they should be able to date our little girl. It will prove he loves her and would do anything to be with her. Though if he ever harms her then he will probably need to leave town.” He grins as he thinks about the future and their little girl. One day she’ll have siblings too. That was a given fact. No matter what they had to do they would have as big a family as Leila wanted once she finished collage. “Oh? You have a lot of secrets?” Not like he needed to know what they were. If she needed to keep a secret she could.
Now that she had told him that they were having a baby girl he knew exactly everything that he would need to buy. She might hate him but he was going to give her another present. The man was going to build the nursery from scratch. He wouldn’t mind converting any of the rooms into a nursery at all. Hopefully his father and hers would help him if he needed any pointers on what to do. His mind was already racing with how he could turn the intercom system into a whole house baby monitor. This way they would know if she was crying.
As she spoke up about the Scott temper he laughed and held her close to his chest. “Okay you win, I do do some stupid things that make it come out.” Another laugh leaves his lips as he nods his head. “I think that will end your temper and any fight every time.” He leans in close holding her tightly to him but not too tight to hurt the baby. When she asked him where they were going he only smiled in response. “I can’t tell you yet.” Where they were going would be bound to make her mad. There was no way he was having her mad on their wedding day. “You just have to trust me.” His fingers slipped up her back and tangle into her hair as he brought her lips to his.
When they stopped dancing and went to their table to get some food he sighed in content as he ate his fill. Once done he looked to his beautiful bride. “If you’ll excuse me my dear, I have a cousin that needs a dance.” Smiling he placed a kiss to Leila’s nose as he made his way over to where Lexi’s little sister was at. She was his other cousin and just as beautiful. That was when he noticed the guys that were all around her. Now wasn’t she the popular thing? Walking right up he smiled as he moved in with a smirk on his lips. “Well seeing as these boys here are just going to stand here, would you have this dance with me?” Sorry boys, if you were just going to stand there like idiots and not ask the beautiful girl to a dance then he would take his cousin away and have a dance with her. He held out his hand for her to take so he could lead her to the dance floor.
When she took his hand he smiled to her and led her out on the dance floor. Holding her close he looked around and moved close to Lexi. They were going to have to keep a look out for her while she was dancing with that guy. When they got close he smiled and looked to Lexi. “Lexi, our dance is coming up soon, just as a heads up.” There, a fair warning that it was coming up.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]the girl in the moon --- ”Oh pleas eno. I want all those images out of my head now.“ Lexi rubbed her forehead as she pretended to gag at everything Jude was saying. A shudder went through her as she wiped all the thoughts from her mind. At least she had a distraction though the next topic was much more solemn. Lexi shrugged as she looked down at the ribbon on her peep toe pumps as if thinking intently over something. In reality she just didn’t wish to look Liam or either of the other men in the eyes. ”I just know Leila was freaking out, mainly because of her hormones, so I figured I’d help out. Plus, someone had to keep Daniel calm and sorry but Alex isn’t the best choice.” Jude went to open his mouth as if to say something but Lexi held her hand up as she chuckled. ”and you are definitely no help Mister Game Over. And I saw you taunting Leila on Facebook. You are lucky you still have your family jewels attached.” The Winslets and Zakarian family-so in extension the Cross family because they were Zakarian’s-were close. The families had all grown up together so she had no issues teasing him. She treated Jude like family. There were many summers Daniel invited Jude and Alex to the family’s summer house and they’d all go on adventures together. There were times Lexi wished she could go back to those days. Then it was simpler as she was safe in the bubble her parents created for her. That was all shattered now.
Lexi perked up and bounced a little on the spot. ”Oh! If you stay in Maine everyone would love to have Simon around. I know I would. Sometimes cuddling with an animal is the perfect stress reliever for working in the ER.” Lexi knew she looked a bit childish but didn’t care. Lexi loved animals and children, no matter how cliché it may sound. That was something about her that wouldn’t change anytime soon.
Her world only seemed to get worse. In this case with this photo. Who would take such a thing? How would they be able to? And didn’t they know this could ruin so many lives? Lexi felt sick just looking at it. She didn’t know what to do. She had done very well in keeping the fact that she was a suspect in her husband’s disappearance a secret. No one here outside of her family knew about the fight the night before and she liked to be able to keep it that way. Some people already looked at Lexi like she was a porcelain doll, about to break if the slightest bomb was dropped on her. But...how could she show this picture to Leila? Lexi was so conflicted and just didn’t want to deal with it today. Nothing in the note said she had to handle it today just…soon. Maybe she could figure something out before ‘soon’ became ‘too late’.
Lexi grinned as she gripped Liam’s arm. ”Well lucky you.” As she thought over letting Scott watch her clutch, she finally saw no harm. ”Well I suppose you can hold it because you’re next for a dance. That is if Daniel doesn’t kidnap me for one but you’re name is one my dance card.” Lexi set the clutch on the table near where they were standing before she let Liam lead her onto the dance floor. With him being from the upper crust like her, she knew he’d know how to do most of the ballroom dances like her. She placed one hand behind his shoulder and the other gripped his hand. The smile she had faltered slightly. What was with everyone asking her how she was doing or how she was holding up? One shoulder shrugged up lazily as she pretended to brush things off. ”I’m fine. Like I said, just a little tired but that just means I’ll get good sleep later.” She looked back up at him as they moved. ”What have you been up to lately? Have any big jobs coming up?”
When Daniel and her sister passed by, Lexi rolled her eyes. ”Maybe I prefer Liam’s company to yours. I mean he is much better looking and he is single. Maybe I’m ready to get back in the game and you could be interrupting me and my future husband.” She made sure to turn to Liam and tell him she was kidding. Dating was the furthest thing from Lexi’s mind.

Scott smiled as Lexi spoke to him. "Yeah. I'll have to see. And yeah, Simon isn't the best cuddlerer in the world, though he does like to curl up in my lap sometimes and fall asleep. I can't really move after that since he gets a little grumpy if I do." Scott laughed. Simon looked up and gave Scott an annoyed look, as though to possibly say, 'Just because you want to move doesn't mean I have to get up and make your life easier.' Scott has had Simon since he was a kitten, and he loved the animal. Simon did show that he cared for his master, but he generally got into a hissy fit if someone else saw this. Some people had remarked in the past that Simon acted more human than cat, but Scott wasn't too sure about that. He would think Simon thought cats were better than humans, and to be considered a human might insult his feelings. At least that's how Scott explained the cat's 'mentality' to one of his coworkers once.
Scott blinked as Lexi spoke to him. "Oh, uh, okay!" He smiled, though he was worried that his poor coordination skills might make him either trip or step on someone's foot -especially if he was going to be dancing with Lexi.
He stood guard over the purse as he watched Lexi and the others dance. He was already cementing himself further in this town, and it hadn't even been a day yet! He could tell that the week he would be staying in Hope Harbor would be adventurous and exciting.
Simon hopped onto a chair, and curled up with an annoyed expression on his face. Scott smiled at the cat, and looked back at the dancing. Some people wanted to grab a chair for their table, and Scott let them by. Unfortunately, however, as he moved to let them through he bumped into another person walking by, then clumsily moved back and bumped the table. He fell down, and landed with an 'Ah!' on the ground. Thankfully the table didn't fall down as well, but Scott's heart stopped as he heard a thud on the floor. Lexi's purse! The music and voices speaking were loud enough that most people didn't notice this, but Scott still scrambled around to grab all the items that fell out of the purse since it had opened. Oh no oh no oh no!
Scott was very embarrassed -he was pretty sure his face was all red at this point- as he gathered the scattered items. His mind was racing with how he was going to apologize to Lexi for accidentally knocking her purse over and having almost everything fall out of it. But then he noticed something.
An... envelope? Scott picked it up curiously, momentarily forgetting about what he was doing. Was it everyday that someone carried an envelope in their purse? He felt curiosity eat at him as he wondered what was inside. Then he remembered what he was doing, and continued to grab at things. Uh oh! Her cell phone! He hoped that it hadn't been broke-
The phone was on, and there was a message on the screen. Scott couldn't help but read it, since he wasn't able to look at the last thing he was curious about.
'The courteous thing to do when someone gets a present is to open it and not just shove it into your purse. -Avery
What... present? Scott panicked, and looked around for anything that may resemble a package of some sort. When he found nothing, he was ready to grab for some more items when he thought of something. Could... the envelope be a gift? It certainly didn't look like a gift, though it was the only thing -that he could see, anyways- that may have possibly resembled something that could be opened up. Who was Avery? While Scott may have said it was from someone Lexi knew (since he himself did not know a lot of people in the town), the tone of the text was... odd; as though the person was annoyed that Lexi didn't open her present. It was strict, and to the point, which baffled Scott even more. Yeah, okay, so there were a few people in his contacts that he was more professional with than friendly, but they never texted him. And yet...
Scott's mind was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he had forgotten what he was doing in the first place.

Autumn grinned and shook her head at her friend. Despite herself, she was actually having a good time. She knew her family was skulking about somewhere in the crowd. They liked to be... apart of things. Autumn wasn't so sure how good that was though. Getting involved in business that wasn't your own always led to disaster. She shook the thoughts from her pretty little head, knowing that worrying about it right now was not helpful to anyone. Especially not herself. She was there to have fun and spend some quality time with her best friend. After their little tiff it was nice to finally get some alone time to make up and get over their troubles. She could barely remember what the fight was about now. More than likely it had something to do with the party and the friends Natalie now kept but...
She shook her head again, knowing her mind was wandering into the darkest recesses of her mind and she needed to stay away from there. She forced the smile back on her face and took a seat with the blonde. She smoothed out her skirt and crossed her legs, getting comfy as the proceedings started. "I am not the bad influence!" She whispered to her, looking rather shocked but obviously joking around with her. It was obvious since she laughed afterwards, nudging her best friend with her elbow lightly. "I'm not telling you to rob a bank y'know."
She glanced around the room and felt like it was... quite quaint. Of course her family would disapprove instantly (without telling anyone to their face) which only made Autumn like it more. It was cute and it only mattered that they all had fun and the couple was happy. Which they seemed to be very much in love. Of course if she got married, if she could even make it that far in life, Autumn would more than likely just elope. It would upset her family and definitely her best friend but... Autumn had too many people in her life telling her what to do that it felt like one of the many things that was actually in her own control.
The ceremony went without a hitch and as the bag was passed to her, she clasped it gently in her hands, wishing everyone stayed healthy and happy and together. Three things that were missing in her own life. She passed it along and glanced at her friend, smiling softly. "Come on, you owe me a dance hot stuff." She teased softly, standing up and smiling softly at the blonde. "Then maybe some of those yummy looking appetizers..."
She wandered towards the reception, following the chatting of friends and family. Music hit her as she entered the new room, making her smile happily. Everyone was in a good mood, there just seemed like nothing could go wrong.

whatever you want here--} ❂ ❂ ❂ ❂ ❂ Willow was so relieved with the ceremony went without a hitch. That could have been extremely embarrassing had Madison wanted to act out. Thankfully with Everliegh sitting beside her, she was able to stay distracted long enough for the couple to get through their vows. It was hard, to watch the wedding, to see all the happy faces and know she wouldn't ever get a chance to experience the same feelings Leila was. She, of course, didn't hold anything against her and wouldn't ruin the night, but mentally it was exhausting.
Once the ceremony was finished, she picked up Madison, made sure she wasn't stealing any of Everliegh's toys before glancing back at Dominic. She hoped to God she was wearing waterproof mascara today, really couldn't remember. "Thanks for sitting with us." She said happily, following him into the reception area. She didn't plan to stay long because Madison had to get to bed and well, Willow wasn't really used to spending a lot of time out and about. It was exhausting. She figured they could get something to eat, wish the happy couple a happy marriage and shove off before it got too late. "I'm sure Maddy will like to dance with Everliegh once she's had some dinner."
She knew he had his family around and probably wanted to sit with them. "I guess we'll catch you later. I'm going to go find us a seat where we won't be too much of a nuisance." She giggled as Madison started to fuss, whining and squirming around, clearly either tired or hungry. Luckily she had crayons and some coloring books in her bag that would distract the little strawberry blonde for a little while at least.
