jesse loved weddings. something about seeing two people exchange vows brought out her inner romantic like nothing else. the decorations helped as well, and the music. but mostly, the feeling that she got that those two people loved each other so much, and would be life long partners. jesse knew that not every marriage lasted forever, of course, but she didn't want to think about that sort of thing while she was attending a wedding. it didn't seem right.
she wondered if things would last with her and landon. she wanted them to so much because she loved him. jesse had never been in love before this. she'd had crushes and infatuations, of course, and thought they were love at the time. but looking back, she knew they couldn't be. she hadn't told landon, yet, at least not those exact three words. but they both showed each other all the time how much they cared for the other. she had waited to say it because she couldn't be sure of his reaction. he'd had a very bad experience with his ex-fiance, and jesse didn't want to use the 'l' word too soon.
they'd had a falling out in their short relationship, but they'd also got through it and that was behind them. landon now had a relationship with his birth mother, and things were going well. fortunately, no other big issues had arisen to mess things up for the two of them, and that made jesse really happy. she'd also been trying harder to get along, figuring there was enough drama with the parent situation. but then, that was slowly but surely working itself out. her mother had actually invited jesse and landon over for dinner. it was awkward, but they got through it, and afterwards she seemed to have less of a bad attitude about him. this was a major step, and even put less strain on their relationship.
it was the day of the wedding, and jesse had been running around all morning in an effort to be ready in time. it wasn't that she took a real long time to get ready, but she'd accidentally slept in. maybe that was because landon had spent the night and they'd been up pretty late. she wouldn't have had it any other way, however. jesse had loved every minute of it. she put her dress on, asking his help to zip up the back then rushed off for pantyhose and her heels. she almost ready and didn't want to keep him waiting, since he was probably already finished. she knew leila, though not real well. they hung out sometimes, but not on a regular basis. and she didn't know daniel at all. still, jesse was excited to go, especially with landon. it was a good excuse to spend the day together and even dance.
she had to insist that he not hold them up, since, apparently her dress was a little to attractive to him. jesse thought he looked really sharp and handsome in his outfit and would definitely be the best looking guy there. somehow they made it on time, even a bit early. that gave them time to socialize, though, mainly with her family. at least, she did. landon did his own separately for a while, and then she went and grabbed him to chat with some of their mutual friends. jesse kept her arm in his the whole time, standing close whenever they stopped to talk, and usually resting her head on his shoulder.
then it was time for the ceremony. they sat with her sister and jesse enjoyed the whole thing immensely, even crying a little. the fact that most everyone else was too helped her to not be so embarrassed. she didn't care if landon noticed, comfortable enough with him to not worry about that sort of thing. everyone stood and clapped at the end, jesse following suit. she felt a kiss pressed to her cheek and turned, smiling to him and returned one on his. once upstairs, they found a table and she laid her things on it. the place was gorgeous. she felt landon's arms wrap around her from behind and laughed as he growled into her neck. "as much as everyone else," jesse replied with a bit of playful sass. "they were very touching vows, so shh." she couldn't help but give a little glance around the room to check if her parents were watching the two of them. she knew she shouldn't really care if they were, but part of her worried that her mother would get upset and say something. even if things were getting better with her, they weren't perfect, yet.

SO SHOW ME FAMILY tags;; whitney/open etc;; outfit, graphic credit ( SILVER TIE! ) @ caution 2.0 he smiled back at his older sister, and tried to dodge her hand as she reached to ruffle his hair, but he was a little too slow. "hey!" jackson protested, reaching up to fix it. he'd been a little too loud, apparently, because his exclamation had earned him a shushing from their mom. he made a face at whitney, though he was only teasing. he then proceed to ruffle her hair, or at least try to, and grinned widely at her. two could play that game.
jackson thought it was pretty neat that whitney had made the cake for their cousin's wedding. he'd tried her cakes before, so he already knew it would be amazing and couldn't wait to have some. he was jealous of his siblings, though, since they were both old enough to drink, and he wasn't technically old enough for another three years. not that that stopped him, but still. it sucked at events like these.
jackson heard a laugh from beside him as he looked at the bar, and turned to see that whitney had been the one to. their mother and gianna had gone to find a table for all of them to sit at, so she was the only one close by. his face broadened to a smile when she told him she'd sneak him something. "did i ever tell you you're the best sister in the world," jackson asked in a somewhat mischievous tone. he was really just joking, since he didn't play favorites with his siblings. he loved both his sisters a whole lot, and not one over the other, though whitney was closer to his age than gianna. "yes ma'am." he did as instructed, walking off in the direction he'd last seen his mom and sister. but along the way he did look around a bit for natalie, and kitty. jackson smiled a little as she walked by, looking embarrassed and he didn't try to stop her. she didn't seem much in the talking mood, for some reason.
as far as natalie went, he soon caught sight of her, sitting with the college girl. it seemed like they were always together anymore. it annoyed jackson somewhat, but he knew she could hang out with whomever she pleased, and he certainly wasn't one of her favorite people. he walked a little further, still watching natalie once in a while, then saw the table where his mom and sister were seated. he joined them, picking the chair that looked in the direction of the person he wanted to see, and sat down. jackson didn't know how or when whitney would be getting that drink to him, but he hoped it'd be soon.

Maverick floated about the ceremony, getting in good, getting the best shots before disappearing again. He grinned to himself, glad to be able to get his job done and still be able to stay out of everyone's way. He felt like a ninja, swooping down, getting the shot and disappearing quickly into the shadows... or maybe he was like a secret agent.
He chuckled quietly to himself, glad none of the guests could hear his thoughts. They would all think him bonkers, going on about ninjas and secret agents. Well considering he wasn't really able to talk to anyone and couldn't stop and eat he had to amuse himself somehow. Well its not like he couldn't do any of those things, its not like the bride or the groom would yell at him, Maverick was just a very focused photographer. He wouldn't rest until he was satisfied it was all perfect.
The ceremony ended and he had to admit, it was beautiful and, something he would never admit, he got a little teary-eyed himself. Yes, Maverick was a very sappy guy but wasn't about to announce that to everyone he met. He made sure to take many pictures of the guests and... to fulfill his own sick needs, lots of pictures of his sister which he would keep probably for himself. After all, it was the closest they would ever get to each other.
Finally, before moving onto the reception himself, he gathered the bride and groom together, hoping to get a few shots with the family before they could get bombarded with congratulations from the guests.

*---tonight is the night,A N D I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR IT ALL MY LIFE, WAITING FOR YOU TO SHOW ?!-------------------------------------------------- [/size] Liam nodded to Lexi. He knew she'd say she was fine, but he happened to know she wasn't. Liam was good at reading people. Most salesmen were. Okay, yeah, he wasn't a salesmen in the typical sense of the job description. But when he put a project out to bid, drawing up the specs and all that and selling yourself to the client, making them want to work with you. And in order to sell yourself, you had to be able to read the client. It all made sense really. But anyways, Liam had learned how to read people and he was reading Lexi now. I knew you'd say that. He smiled a crooked, bemused smile. I also know that you're lying. Liam kept his voice low, so that only Lexi could hear them. No one else needed to know her business. I saw your little maneuver with the clutch and the envelope. He confessed in gentle, considerate tones. I'm not saying you have to tell me what's wrong...I'm not asking you to tell me what's wrong...I'm just saying, I know something is up and if you need help or you just need to talk about it, I'm here for you, okay?
Liam was a good man, among the very best these days. He could be trusted. He wasn't the type of person that sought to gain the confidence of others for the purpose of getting to know their secrets so he could broadcast them to the world. He had a heart of gold and a need to help others who seemed to be in some sort of trouble or another and needed him. He certainly didn't want Lexi to think he was trying to take advantage of her. He was pretty sure that she knew that, but he would clarify if he sensed it was necessary.
You know me, all business. Liam replied in answer to her question. But a lot of new and exciting things happening. They're putting in a new modern art center in Portland and I'm doing all the designs...It's pretty awesome... I mean I think every architect dreams of getting to design something like this building. So much...scope for the imagination. Liam couldn't stop smiling when he talked about work. It wasn't really work to him, because he loved it so much and new project always excited him. When the plans are finished I get to make one of those to scale mockups and present it to the board of directors. It's just a total blast. He laughed a little. You geek out about science fiction, I geek out about work. Liam shook his head and smiled. Liam smiled, laughing as Lexi teased Daniel. He knew she was only kidding of course. Truth be told, if situations were different, Liam might have tried to make it with Lexi. She was sweet, confident, kind, beautiful, caring, and liked to game (not that Liam found much time for it), what wasn't to love really? Very possible. Liam played along, looking at Daniel. Of course I'll ask your permission before any official proposal...But your answer won't really have an influence either way, because once my desire is fixed on something, no one can change it or stop it. This was certainly not true...well depending on what Liam's desire was fixed upon. But they were all only teasing, so lets not read into it too much.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, background-color:#f4f4f4; width:400px; padding:8px; border: 8px solid #9b6464;] she‘s had all she can take SOMETHING’S GOTTA MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE. I DON‘T KNOW WHERE IT IS BUT SOMETHING‘S GOTTA GIVE
Natalie quirked a brow. ”No but I bet if Ashton asked you to rob a bank. You’d be singing a different tune and begging for my help.” Natalie winked playfully as she laughed. It was obvious that Autumn was infatuated with the boy. Actually, they were sort of the perfect fit if you thought about it. The two had their awkward moments and were a bit geeky. They complimented each other, even if their interactions were a bit weird to observe at times. Still, Natalie encouraged the other girl to pursue him. Even if Natalie didn’t have a real “love” interest, she was happy Autumn was crushing on someone. Natalie wished she could have something even remotely close to that but right now liking someone like that just couldn’t happen. She was too messed up.
Natalie was glad the ceremony went smoothly. She had wished the couple a happy, peaceful life before she passed the bag on. She watched her father, a little bored by it. She had been sitting from this stance her whole life. She had seen weddings, funerals and Baptisms performed as well as Sunday services. She gazed around the room and caught sight of Jackson. He looked handsome. Now that Natalie was crushing on him but when she had an itch to scratch, she knew who to call. Maybe she’d have one tonight. For now the thought was shaken out of her mind as she rose to clap.
Natalie chuckled as she rolled her eyes as they headed to the reception area. ”Fine but you are a very demanding date. All without getting me a corsage. You’ll have to make it up to me later.” Natalie sighed as she looked for a free table to set their things on. The only one with enough seats was with Isabella. She turned to Autumn. ”Would you mind if we sat there? I swear I’m not going to get drunk or anything. If not we can just set our things there and then find someplace else.” Once everything was settled and their bags had someplace to be set, Natalie grabbed Autumn’s hand. When on the dance floor she grabbed both of Autumn’s hands. The two shook just slightly and did some sock hop moves as laughter peeled form their lips. When Autumn seemed tired, Natalie brought the red head to her parents. ”Um I’m going to go ask Jackson for a dance but as soon as you’re ready I want to take you for another spin. If not we’ll let out our master plan to fill an entire car with flowers.” Natalie gave her friend a warm hug before she moved to her stalker as she referred to him.
Natalie wasn’t stupid-Isabella and Autumn had pointed out him staring. Natalie smiled as she approached the table. She waved before she clasped her hands in front of her. ”HI I’m Natalie. I came to steal Jackson for a dance if he isn’t busy?” Natalie chatted with one of Jackson’s sisters a moment before he led her to the dance floor. She bumped against his side as she inclined her head in his direction. ”You know you’re being very creepy today.”

SO SHOW ME FAMILY tags;; whitney/natalie etc;; outfit, graphic credit ( SILVER TIE! ) @ caution 2.0 jackson winked at whitney when she gave him a look, than turned and strode over to their table. he was happy to have his family, since he knew they'd always have his back. really, the only people he actually loved were his sisters, mom and cousins. he glanced back at his sister, wondering what she was going to grab for him. it would probably be a beer, even though he preferred stronger, but hey. jackson was just happy she was getting him something with some alcohol in it. after all, he didn't know how long it would be before he could sneak off to find a place for him and his flask.
he had sat back in his chair some, crossing his ankles as continued to look in natalie's direction, but not always right at her. jackson didn't really care if he got caught staring, even if it was his sister. he didn't get embarrassed easily, though he could remember a few times where his mom or one of his sisters had been able to achieve that. it had been quite a few years ago, though. jackson hadn't seen whitney approach, but turned to look at her as she spoke to him, also taking his drink from her. he gave a snort of laughter, checked over his shoulder to make sure their mom wasn't watching, then took a sip of the beer. well, at least it was the good stuff. "when was the last time i had a girlfriend?" jackson asked, giving whitney a look as she pinched his cheek. he didn't date. or at least, very rarely. of course, there were girls that had come home with him on various occasions, but he hadn't had anything steady in years.
he smiled, shaking his head. "i don't think mom would like it if i sat with anyone else. plus, i wouldn't want the three of you to embarrass me." jackson was joking about the embarrassment part, since he didn't believe they could do that anymore. he was past the point in his life where he actually cared what people thought. most of the time, anyway. "just a.. friend," he said with a shrug, hesitating slightly before saying 'friend'. they certainly wouldn't be under that category, but jackson didn't know what else he'd call their 'relationship'. they'd slept together, once, and talked a bit here and there. acquaintance was probably a better word for it.
he had just turned to whitney, deciding to change the topic, when he heard a familiar voice. jackson turned to the blond, a smirkish smile already on his face as she questioned whether he was busy or not. "jackson can speak for himself, i think. and no, he isn't," he informed her, standing up. "natalie, my sister, whitney." maybe he had thought that his family could no longer embarrass him, but then, he didn't know what she'd say to natalie. he let the two chat for a moment, but was soon pulling her towards the dance floor before whitney could think of something embarrassing to say. "just today?" jackson questioned, humor coloring his tone as he arched an eyebrow. he led her easily, noticing that she was a pretty good dancer. "you were hanging out with your friends, so i figured i'd bug you later. beat me to the punch." he would have asked her for a dance, eventually, but she'd acted too soon. not that he minded. it did surprise him, though, that she actually wanted to dance with him. jackson always got the impression that she'd rather be around someone else. he didn't think that natalie was suddenly crushing on him, though, just being friendly towards him. "you know, i'd still like your number. i know you have mine, but, that doesn't help me much," he told her, keeping his tone casual. that had been the night of the party when they'd slept together, and jackson studied her face closely to see what her reaction would be. no, he hadn't specifically mentioned that part of it, but she'd no doubt remember what else had happened that night.
