Maverick glanced around the beach, enjoying the random tourists he saw among the townsfolk. Of course he had his camera on him, like always. He had gotten many pictures taken that he was, rather proud of, in fact he was feeling so good today, he had even offered to take and develop free shots for couples that wanted it. The sun was shining and the ocean wasn't too cold so overall it was a very good day.
Moving back from the water, he walked up to were the festivities were being held, smiling softly at the inside joke. A gay man at a clambake, who would've thought it. Everything looked and smelled good, the fishermen had definitely out did themselves this year it looked like, which was great for the town's economy.
He bought himself some steamers and grilled corn on the cob and moved away to sit in the sand, wishing he had thought to bring a towel but he had been more concerned with his camera to think of anything else. He draped the expensive luxary over his head to let it hang from his neck so to avoid getting sand in the lens.
He dug his toes in the sand and took a bite of the sweet corn. The waves crashed against the shoreline as he watched everyone enjoying the beautiful weather. He knew his sister would more than likely be around. He knew she couldn't resist the sunshine. Unfortunately she hadn't been able to enjoy it as much as she would have hoped since the accident. Somehow, he would figure out how to bring a smile to her face again.

Post by SCOTT MATTHEW CLAYTON on May 18, 2013 16:06:22 GMT -5
Scott was so excited. The town was having a festival! It was at the beach, and there seemed to be a lot of people around. Scott had been here for around two months now, and he was loving every minute of it. He had managed to become a sort of 'intern' at the hospital -this caused a lot of stress for his boss back in Boston, but she finally got all the paperwork necessary. He had... he thought he had around five months to do this -starting in March- before he either had to go back or officially move to Hope Harbor. He sometimes drove back to Boston to get something or drop something off, but he mostly stayed in Hope Harbor. The situation felt weird to Scott, but at least he was around, and he was thankful that his boss was so understanding -despite her being a bit disgruntled by being asked at the last minute.
He walked around looking at all the food that was at the festival. He hadn't eaten today, and so he was very hungry. After buying some clams for himself -and Simon, of course, who definitely wanted to tag along for the seafood that was around despite being so close to the beach- he wandered around the beach while admiring the nice weather. His phone had began to vibrate in his pocket while he was daydreaming, and he grabbed it. He opened it, and saw that it was a text message from his brother. Oops. He had forgotten to talk to him this morning. Scott had woken up, gotten dressed, and walked outside to enjoy the nice day. He was going to call his brother to tell him how he was doing, but then he got distracted by all the people heading to the beach. After asking where they were going, and finding out about the clambake that was going on, he forgot about the call and left to the beach. Scott sighed a little to himself about how forgetful he was, and began to text on the phone. He had to do this one-handed due to having some food in his other hand, and he decided to continue to walk around since he believed he could concentrate on three things at once.
That was why he hadn't noticed the person in front of him before it was too late. Hopefully the man was able to dodge out of the way, but Scott certainly did not keep his balance. He tripped and fell flat on his face, his phone and food flying out of his hands. Simon, the opportunist, walked on over to the food and began to eat it. Yes, it was sandy, but the cat was a bit of a glutton and ate any food that was of good-quality -so perhaps he was a picky glutton.
Scott blinked, and pushed himself up. Once he realized that the other man was there he started to apologize, "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I was texting my brother and I didn't see you! I hope you weren't hurt! I'm really, really sorry about that!" He noticed that the man had a camera around his neck, but he was too busy with his apology to comment on it.
((Fiiinnaallyy got the aspiration to type this up! Sorry if it sucks X.x *Look at me trying to find reasons and whatnot*))
