Autumn was feeling more than great today. The sun was shining and she woke up feeling better than ever. Of course that wasn't bound to last very long but she never let herself think too far into the future, there was only sadness lurking there. Her family was throwing their annual festival to honor and thank the town and the fishermen for their support and hardwork. Honestly Autumn thought that part was bullshit but she did enjoy all the games and food. So many people had set up booths to promote different things and it was fun to stop off and say hello to the townsfolk.
She wore a bathing suit under shorts and a t-shirt, feeling like taking risks today. Hopefully she wouldn't get sick and have to head home before the fireworks. Apparently they were beautiful over the ocean and maybe she could get a nice view from the pier. She blushed softly, having heard about some high schoolers sneaking under the pier to make out. She couldn't imagine doing anything crazy like that.
It was nice to go through the festivities unnoticed. None of her usual watch dogs followed, or at least they were blending in really well. She assumed her grandfather and mother were too wrapped up in business to keep an eye on her which was fine. After all, she wasn't even feeling sick today. She had briefly thought about calling Natalie down to enjoy the rides and sunshine with her but had decided against it last minute. She assumed that maybe Natalie was already there... maybe with someone else and for once, Autumn didn't mind spending the day alone. She was getting way too attached to others and that was dangerous.
She had also thought about calling Myles and possibly asking where Ashton was and what he was up to but that idea had been shot down even quicker. Even now she blushed, thinking of him. She wasn't sure why, she had never experienced these feelings before and wasn't sure what to do with them even though Natalie loved to tease her and say she was crushing on him. Was that true? She had nothing to compare it to besides what she read in her comics and storybooks. Love in those books were always so tragic and romantic. Nothing like her life.
Autumn checked her phone and noticed she had a message, groaning softly before smiling to herself as she read it. Apparently Myles was already there and looking for her. That cheeky boy. Of course he always knew how to find her. She replied quickly to his message, telling him where he could find her. She stopped off to grab some cotton candy and wait for the crazy teenager to join her.
