history : Mercy Azalea Dubois was born to single mother, Hanna Lucy Smith. Her mother got pregnant while in college to the Samson Eli Dubois, the son of a rich European business man. Samson was forced to leave Hanna by his parents and so Hanna was on her own. Mercy's mother struggled to raise her until she was five, which was when Hanna was murdered. Mercy was sent to a foster family, her father out of the picture her whole life. She bounced around in foster homes till she turned 16 and found a permanent home.The mother was kind, but the father was an alcoholic and often abused Mercy. At 18 she left for college where she met the guy of the dreams, or so she thought. Her boyfriend turned out to be abusive when he got mad, but would always spoil her later and beg for forgiveness. After she graduated she moved in with him, mostly because she had no where to go. Finally about 2 months ago she gathered enough money to leave him and moved to quiet Hope Harbor, Maine. She has taken up a job as a waitress in order to support herself while working on her new book. She is takes time to trust,due to her destructive past, but once you get her to open up she will trust you with her life.
