Mercy Azalea Dubois
Had she not left in such a rush, Mercy would not have to worry about getting new clothes. In her haste to get away from Jack and their home she had absolutely forgotten to pack a change of clothes. She had simply grabbed any hygienic products, a sweatshirt, what little make-up she owned, and her mother's locket. She'd brought her phone as well but knew she'd need to trash it unless she wanted to risk being traced. Sighing she was just relieved she was free from the home that had become her prison. She began to focus at the task at hand, shifting through clothes racks for something that fit her style. She wasn't the kind of girl who was flashy or outgoing clothes, she preferred wearing things that in a way hid her. After some time she had picked out 2 sweaters,3 tee shirts, and 3 tank tops. She'd also found 2 pairs of skinny jeans. Here in Hope Harbor the weather remained pretty cool, even though it was summer. There was the occasional day where things were super hot, however. Gazing at her collection she knew she wouldn't be able to afford it all, she have to cut out a few, but as soon as she had a job and was working she'd be able to afford more clothes. Glancing around she spotted someone and timidly spoke up."Excuse me, but do you know where there's a dressing room?"She asked softly. Mercy didn't enjoy talking to people, she had an issue with trusting people she didn't know, even if it was for the simplest things. She'd had a tough life growing up and it had shaped her into the insecure young woman she was. She had grown up with the philosophy that people are never who they seem. She also believed that maybe if she was good then she wouldn't have to face their wrath so often. She always thought that something was her fault, she couldn't understand that the people she was around just had problems.
