Ok everyone, I know I haven't been doing much admin wise around here but that's because I am working on my skin tester site to get us ready to convert to Proboards V5. I so far am liking it but I have a couple questions: Do you guys like the quick login feature in the sidebar or do you not use it? I'm just trying to figure out what will & will not work on V5 & the quick login looks awkward with it. Also, the way Proboards V5 works is we have to install plugins to make it work. If you have time please click here & tell me if there is a plug in you'd like to see added to the site when we upgrade |

Elle-I'm going to see if I can find a plugin to disable the switch feature
So far I have one where you can set a relationship status, karma system(like we have now), new pm alert, spell checker, username in post(so you can tag people specifically.
When I change the skin next is when we will update to V5

I use the quick login thing all the time. I didn't see anything that I was like "OH MY GOSH! GOTTA HAVE IT" int he plug ins. lol

I kinda use it if I remember it's there, but otherwise, I'll just use the one up top on the menu bar. Posting/PM Word Count is a good idea, that way we don't have to use the side bar one and we'll always know how long our posts are. That's really all I can see though.

To be honest I love the quick log in on the side. But that's just me and well I am Avery so you little people need to do what I say!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA -looks around- Oh wait.....but yes, quick log in is a love.

so I have another suggestion for when we switch over that is up to everyone:
I have been lurking around sites to get ideas & some places do things by "season". so when it is fall in real life it's fall on the board. this gives everyone more time to play certain things out. then when it comes to events we'd say what the date the event is for

Yeah I think that's the best idea. I've been on a lot of sites like that and they just seem to work out better that way.

*Sorry to jump in a bit late!* Yes! I have seen this too, and I think that sounds like a cool idea ^.^ it also helps with getting in the mood for certain plots, and lets you know what you should probably be doing for x season yada yada (also, it helps somewhat keep track of what the timeline is for everyone and everything XD).
