appearance : Maverick stands at about 5'10", not quite a basketball star. He's got a bit of muscle on him, being a bit of a health nut he likes to keep up with regular activities that keep him fit. Maverick, being a bit of a homosexual, is always well dressed with his dark hair slick back. His skin is tan and he has a perfect white friendly smile.

personality : Maverick is a very goofy person, he loves to have fun and party but even so he knows when he has to be serious. He likes to fix and create things and help people in any way that he can. He's extremely generous, making almost no money in his job because he practically gives stuff away. Maverick is pretty and he knows it being a little vain isn't always so bad. He's always late and rather disorganized but he likes the fun part of things, not the hard parts.

history : Maverick grew up on a ranch with all his older brothers. It was hard work, the Ranch had been in the family for years in Texas. It was a very successful ranch, the cattle feeding all of America. His all-american father was a republican and loved his guns. He helped pay for politicians running for president and was well known in the state. Maverick was the youngest and the strangest. His mother was Mexican and was very good at making babies.

Maverick knew from a very young age he was different. After all, he liked his mother's pearls and high heels while his brothers didn't. But that didn't make him any less likely to wrestle with them or wrangle a cow. He was a disappointment over and over again to his family but it didn't slow him down at all.

He had a lot of boyfriends growing up, a lot. Well he had a lot of sex at least. He didn't know what he wanted in life so how could he pick just one guy to spend the rest of his life with? How would he know he was 'the one'? It was in high school that he found out about his father's affair with one of the wait staff in their mansion. He hadn't meant to find out, he had only overheard it from his father one day.

He decided it didn't matter, their family wasn't very close at all so simply put it out of his mind for a few years. It was in college, when he was getting a degree in fashion merchandising and photography that his father confessed to him. He learned two things, his father didn't hate him and what he was and that he had a sister. Of course it was a half sister but a sister nonetheless.

So once graduated, Maverick packed up and moved to Maine, wanting to get in touch with this young girl, wanting to tell her everything and have someone to relate to. It wasn't that simple he found out.

Catalina had grown up poor and apparently had a terrible mother. Maverick felt guilty, he had grown up so well with little problems in life. Here she was, struggling to survive, to fit in. How could he just overturn that so he could experience having a little sister? It was unfair of him.

So he asked his father for some start up money and opened his own business. He wanted to survive on his own so he said he wouldn't ask for anything else from them. His father, also guilty about ruining two lives, wanted nothing more than for his son to reach out to his daughter for him. Maverick suspected that his father had actually loved Catalina's mother while his own mother was a greedy money hungry woman who knew about the affair but didn't want a divorce. Sofia and Samuel weren't in love, maybe that had been at one time, but not anymore.

So now Maverick is trying to live with his own earnings and make his own life while trying to figure out how to connect with his sister.
