Smiling, Oliver came over. The right woman tends to have that effect on her man. He turned his younger brother towards him and expertly tied Tristan's necktie before doing his won. He straightened his brother's pocket kerchief, then his own and combed his hair the way he liked it. When they were ready, Tristan and Oliver met the photographer on the grounds to do some pre-ceremony shots. When that was finished, they headed to the ceremony site where their guests were already gathering. Tristan and Oliver milled about for a little while, then Gran took Tristan aside and said a few words for only his ears and hugged and kissed him with a tear in her eye before taking her seat for the start of the ceremony. As Kylie said this, she couldn't help but wonder when her's and Cameron's time would come. She knew their train had been derailed for a time. But they were back on track now and they had a quaint little home together and a great life. Kylie just wanted it all to be official. She wanted to be Cameron's wife. She wanted her fairytale wedding. Kylie knew it would come in time. But she felt left out in a sense. Brooklyn was getting married today, Haven and Louis weren't far behind...all her girlfriends from Chicago were either engaged or married or even married with kids. And she wasn't even engaged. It wasn't that Kylie wanted to be engaged just because her friends were. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. But she was growing impatient. Kylie knew there were certain things Cameron wanted to be in place before they took the next step. But if seemed to Kylie almost that he was waiting until everything was absolutely perfect and that was never going to happen. Pushing those thoughts from her head, Kylie focused on Brooklyn. They had a leisurely breakfast and talked excitedly and impatiently about the coming ceremony. After breakfast, the hair dresser and make artist came and prepped them and before Kylie knew it, she was dressed and helping Brooklyn's mother get Brooklyn into her wedding gown. Tears welled up in Kylie's eyes as Mrs. Sawyer secured Brooklyn's head piece and turned her towards the full length mirror. None of them had thought this day would actually come. But here it was, and already more amazing then they could have imagined. Kylie wiped her eyes carefully, thankful for the invention of waterproof make up. You look stunning...Tristan's going to be blown away. Kylie kissed Brooklyn's cheek, and grabbed their bouquets before they headed out of the room and towards the ceremony site. And before Kylie knew it, she was walking down the aisle. The eyes of each guest seemed to be wet already and they hadn't even seen Brooklyn. Kylie winked at Cameron when their eyes met. Oliver looked about the happiest she'd ever seen him and Tristan looked like an expectant puppy dog. When Kylie reached the end of the aisle, she took her place on the proper side and watched as her best friend ascended. She truly was the most beautiful bride Kylie had ever seen.[/ul]

Post by SUMMER LILA BANES on Aug 15, 2013 13:38:31 GMT -5
Even though she'd met Brooklyn years ago, it felt like they had only officially met three or four months before, and now Summer was about to attend her wedding. That escalated quickly... She was overjoyed for the couple, and had, of course, agreed to come when she was invited. A few days before the ceremony, she flew over and since she landed, she's been enjoying all of the beauty that Italy had to offer. She hadn't been doing it alone, either, since she had Oliver to keep her company. This trip, even though it was so close to when she'd need to be starting school, had made her a bit more comfortable with the idea of visiting England with him.
On the day of the wedding, Summer woke up in her room in the large villa, sun shining down through the window. She ate breakfast in one of the small breakfast areas, not bothering anyone since she knew they were all getting ready. Once she'd finished eating, she'd gone outside and sat by the pool, just looking at anything and everything. She'd never been out of the United States... ever. Italy was like nothing she'd ever seen; it was full of a purely rustic beauty. In South Carolina, there were plenty of sights to see, plenty of beautiful fields and lakes, but never the buildings of stone which have seen so many faces, or the beautiful hillsides and villas. She wished she'd gotten to travel more when she was in college, or the year after. She wished she'd had that freedom, but she didn't. Now that she did, she knew that she'd be able to see the world soon enough.
A few hours later, she was sitting in her seat when she saw the Welcott boys walk in. Tristan, who seemed to be filled to the brim with nerves, and Oliver, who was just proud of his younger brother, as always. She waved to him, walking out to meet him before the ceremony began. "He's not going to pass out, is he?" Summer asked with a small laugh, glancing towards Tristan who had just finished listening to his grandmother's words.
[literally crap... sorry]

[atrb=border,0,true]there‘s a fire starting in my heart, reaching a fever pitch Brooklyn sat in front of the mirror of the vanity as the make-up artists did her magic. They were doing their best to hide the scars that littered her face. They were not noticeable unless up close but Brooklyn noticed them. Two on her right cheekbone and one along her chin. The photographer promised to airbrush them if absolutely needed. She blinked a little as she thought back to the previous night’s rehearsal and the dinner. It had been filled with laughter which Brooklyn was grateful for. The past two months had been exhausting for her with therapy, doctor’s appointments and settling into England. She needed this day for so many reasons. She needed pure joy and she was beyond ready to be Tristan’s wife. Just the thought made a smile creep along her face. What made today so much better was her father had come around. She glanced in the mirror at him. He had this look that others might find unreadable but she saw it in his eyes-all the memories of her growing up and leading to this day. She sent him a watery smile and he returned it before getting up, mumbling he would go check on the boys.
Her eyes went to her mother next, fiddling with Brooklyn’s dress. Kylie had needed to finish it for her as Brooklyn had been unable to. She was grateful for that and really, it made it even more special. The veil had been worn by both her grandmother and mother where Brooklyn’s eyes landed next. The room was just bustling with activity while Brooklyn tried to keep her nerves calm. So far she hadn’t really had any panic attacks or freak out moments. She had been happy through the rehearsal dinner, something truly amazing for the woman who had nearly left this world. It was a wonder Brooklyn was even here in general. Today wouldn’t be easy. She’d need to really lean on people with walking around as she got easily winded. She prayed she wouldn’t need her pain medication but just in case her mother would have the pills on her. Brooklyn had cut some in half because she didn’t want to be groggy through the reception. She was just grateful her gown hid all the worst parts from the attack. The incision from where her kidney was removed, the mark from oliver performing heart surgery and the scars along her thighs. Those would never go away, not completely. But today wasn’t about that. Today was just about the joy over because mrs. Tristan welcott. Her best friend would stand beside her as her father gave her away then watched form the group. Her grandmother was here along with her other close family. It was going to be perfect.
Brooklyn was grateful everyone stayed within her eyesight or could be seen in any of the mirrors in the room. She hadn’t being caught unaware these days. The hairdresser finished her curls as her aunt came over to help Brooklyn up. No one wanted Brooklyn to overexert herself too early. Her aunt held her arms as Brooklyn stepped into the gown, her mother and kylie pulling it up. Brooklyn leaned against her aunt while the ribbons were laced up the back, careful not to pull too tight. Her ribs had healed but were still painful with too much pressure. Brooklyn smoothed her hand over the lace bodice of the dress as her grandmother came over with the jewelry. Brooklyn slipped in the earrings before reaching for he bracelet Tristan had given her for valentine’s. seeing as it had been Tristan’s mother’s she thought it’d be special to wear it today. Her engagement ring was put on her right hand as was traditional while kylie fluffed up the bow now around her waist. Her aunt helped Brooklyn step into heels and then Brooklyn looked over herself. Back in may when she sat in the hospital, she had no clue if she’d ever get here. And now here Brooklyn was-nearly ready to walk down the aisle. The finishing touch of the veial was put on brooklyn smiled, trying not to get choked up. She gripped kylie‘s hand and gave it a light squeeze. “thanks. You look pretty amazing yourself. Has cameron seen you yet?” something light was good right now.
When they left, everyone gave Brooklyn a moment alone with her parents. They all exchanged words about Brooklyn growing up, being proud of her and glad to be seeing her getting married. Brooklyn looped her arm through her dad’s and leaned into him so she didn’t overexert herself. They waited at an area just out of sight until the music began. First kylie walked down the aisle and then two little cousins of Tristan’s. Brooklyn stood there leaning into her dad as her mother came up beside her. Not being very traditional Brooklyn had both parents walking her down the aisle as she gripped the bouquet. One held onto each elbow as the bridal march started.
Deep breath in...
...and release with the first step.
Brooklyn kept her eyes trained on Tristan, a loving smile on her lips. All the bad of the last two and half months dropped away. All the physical therapy, the trips to the doctors, hiding out in his loft from the paparazzi and serious talks about what to do about things in life. All that mattered was this moment and the look of awe and adoration on her almost husband’s features. Nothing else mattered. Not the tears everyone else was shedding or the murmurs of how beautiful everything-including she-was. All that mattered was tediously reaching the end and standing before Tristan as the minister asked who gave this bride away, her father saying ‘her mother and I do’ before they each kissed her cheek and put her hands in Tristan’s. she mouthed the words, ’hi,’ as she felt happy tears come up, a barely audible laugh leaving her lips from pure joy.

Oliver was beaming as he and Tristan walked out into the ceremony space. He couldn't have been happier for Brooklyn and his younger brother. They were so perfect for one another it wasn't even funny. It was fairytale-ish really. At least the being perfect for one another was. The road leading up to this joyous event had been quite rocky. And though Oliver wished many things had never happened to his dear friend and brother, he really felt that the events had solidified Tristan and Brooklyn's relationship Scanning over the guests who were already assembling, Oliver's eyes landed on Summer, just as she rose to come and speak with him. When she neared him, Oliver wrapped his arms around her middle and smiled down out her. Laughing at her a question he said I don't know, but I'll be sure to catch him if he does. Although the Welcott boys were both of good constitution, Oliver really wouldn't put it past Tristan to pass out in this situation. But who could blame him if he did? He was marrying the love of his life. Oliver had felt exactly the same way on the day he married Lilian. Although Oliver was keeping it very well hidden, he was struggling on the inside. Yes, he was very much in love with Summer. But that didn't mean his love for Lilian was any less and today he missed her even more then usual. This was the first wedding Oliver had been to since she'd passed on and it wasn't going to be easy for him. But he focused his mind back on Tristan and Brooklyn and Summer and he was sure, as long as he kept focus, he could make it through the day without breaking. Leaning down slightly to kiss Summer gently on the lips, he smiled at her, a special glint in his eyes. You look lovely by the way. He told her. I'd bet that you're more beautiful then the bride, but that would just be rude. Oliver teased. But he had the right to believe that, after all, Brooklyn was Tristan's bride, not Oliver's. Kissing her once more, Oliver said I'll see you after the ceremony sweetie....Save me a dance.. Tristan:It seemed to Tristan that they had been standing outside waiting for the ceremony to start for nearly an hour. But really it had only been a few minutes. He was anxious. Anxious to see Brooklyn, anxious to say his vows, anxious to start their life as a married couple together and put all the horrible things on the past few months behind them. Tristan saw the wedding as a soft of fresh start and he hoped it would be for Brooklyn. She'd been living full time in a different country (though they would frequently visit Oliver and Kylie and Cameron and Summer and hopefully receive frequent visits from them as well), and getting her business going full time there, when she had the strength. This was exactly what Brooklyn needed. When the music started and Kylie began to walk down the aisle, Tristan suddenly remembered he'd forgotten to make sure that Oliver had the ring. Leaning over to his brother, Tristan whispered the question in Oli's ear. His older brother chuckled and assured him it was safe and secure in the inner pocket of his suit. Breathing a sigh of relief his eyes fell back on the aisle just as Brooklyn began her ascent on her father's arm. For quite a few moments, Tristan found he couldn't breathe. Brooklyn was so stunningly beautiful, more so then he could ever have imagined. She brought tears to his eyes. Seeing her walking down the aisle towards him, something they'd both been afraid might never happen, though they never dared to express it verbally to one another. Brooklyn still had a long road ahead of her, but now Tristan could be there for her, not as her boyfriend or fiancee, but as her husband. Tristan continued to look into Brooklyn's eyes the entire way down the aisle, not even breaking long enough to blink. He watched her as the minister asked who gave her away and her father answered. Tristan watched, smiling, as Brooklyn's parents each kissed and hugged her and her father placed her hands in Tristan's. His hands quaked slightly as he held hers and he grinned from ear to ear as he looked at her and she mouthed a sweet little "hi"...just like her. Tristan mouthed backed as they turned to the minister and he began the ceremony. He said a few short words about God's purpose in marriage and about the struggles that Tristan and Brooklyn had been through and how they'd supported each other all the while. This brought happy and sad teas to both their eyes. Tristan sniffled a few times and noticed that Kylie and Oliver had both shed a few tears as well. When it came time for them to exchange their vows, Tristan's shaking hands went to his inner pocket and pulled out a paper. He bit his lip before he began, trying to keep all his emotions in check. Taking a deep breath, he began. Brooklyn.... He smiled at her and shook his head, laughing a little as tears already began to spill. He wiped eyes with the back of his hand and with another deep breath, continued I can't believe we finally made it here. It's been a rough year for us. Rough....but good. A few months ago, tragedy struck...and I-I thought my life was going to be over. Tristan paused for a few moments again, feeling a bit embarrassed, but he couldn't speak, because if he did, his emotions would overtake him. Finally he was able to continue You see...when I asked you to marry me...well before that even. Our first night together in London...in our secret place... Tristan smiled, thinking of when they'd gone up into Big Ben together. You became my life. I knew right at that very moment...as I watched you look out over the city...I was going to marry you. It was never a matter of if in my mind...but when...F-From that point on, everything I've done has revolved around you. Every decision I have made, has been influenced by you. Every waking thought has been of you. Every dream I have dreamed, has been about you.....People always talk about how, when you truly love and are truly in love with someone, and they return that love whole heartedly, the two become one flesh. One mind, one body, one soul...one spirit. And that is why...if I had lost you, my life would have been over. His voice cracked a little at the end, as he pushed through the emotions to get the last part of the paragraph out without losing control of himself again. Looking up at her, Tristan smiled, then looked back down at his paper. But...I didn't lose you. Instead, I gained an even more beautiful you. ...Brooklyn you never cease to fill me with amazement at how strong you are and how you have persevered through the most trying of situations. I know you don't see yourself that way. And that's another thing that makes you so beautiful on the inside and on the outside. Tristan looked up at Brooklyn again, this time folding the paper, and putting it back in his pocket. Taking both her hands in his, he looked deep into her beautiful eyes and said the rest of his vow, straight from his heart....no paper needed. Brooklyn...I vow to spend the rest of my life by your side...to spend the rest of my life helping you to realize what an amazing person you are. I vow to teach our future children what a wonderful mother they have, and to teach them to love, honor, and respect you. I vow to spend the rest of my life defending you, protecting you, honoring you and cherishing you. I vow never to give up on us. I vow to love and worship you, forever and always. [/ul]

[atrb=border,0,true]there‘s a fire starting in my heart, reaching a fever pitch There were times Brooklyn wondered about going through with the wedding. Not because she didn’t love Tristan but because she didn’t know if she’d be up to it. But having each parent on either side helping her get down the aisle and seeing Tristan waiting for her made it all worth it. The worries about her being able to get through the reception without getting exhausted and then being able to see all their sights for their honeymoon was pushed to the back of her mind. The nervous bride jitters along with her fears had overwhelmed her until she began to walk closer to her very soon-to-be husband. Just the thought made her heart flutter quickly and almost made her tear up. She tried to will the tears away knowing that wouldn’t last long. Brooklyn and Tristan had written their own vows which was bound to be emotional for both of them.
Standing there she turned to hand kylie her bouquet so she could grasp Tristan’s hands when there was no paper in his hands. Thankfully someone invented waterproof make-up. Tristan’s vows were perfect and brought tears to her eyes. She saw the emotions written all across his face. Their courtship may have been short but that didn’t change how they felt about one another and how their bond kept getting stronger. It took every ounce in her not to full blown sob at what he said. Instead tears fell silently as she looked over at Tristan, a smile forming despite the salty droplets going down her cheeks. She felt kylie tap her shoulder and hand over a small hankie that Brooklyn dabbed at her cheeks and under her eyes before balling it in her fist. When Tristan finished she just wanted to give him a sweet kiss but that wasn’t the moment for it. Instead she collected herself before grabbing the paper from her maid-of-honor with a soft, “thank you.”
Another deep breath in and she began to speak after swallowing a lump of emotions. “Tristan.... Getting to this moment has been the one thing I have waited my whole life for. Not to be a bride in a wedding with just any groom. No, to be marrying the love of my life. We all know I can be a little bold and out there. There are times I regret it but the moment I met you is one I don't regret being so forward despite freaking you out.” Brooklyn chuckled through the emotions clogging her throat as she looked up from the paper. “That moment my world shifted and I didn't even know to right away. I denied my feelings as our friendship began to grow but one thing that was for certain was that over the course of us first meeting until that moment you went to go home was that I had fallen in love with you. And to know that you had fallen in love with me as well made me the happiest person in the world. I still wonder how someone as kind and loving as you fell in love with a crazy, hyper girl like me is shocking but I wouldn't change it. You make me want to be a better person, Tristan, in every sense.”
Brooklyn had to pause because of the weight of her next set of words. It was something that weighed heavily on them both as they each had added something about it to their vows. “These past few months have been the hardest of our lives. Despite us not yet being married, you stepped up more then I ever imagined. You were there through the whole process as I go through my journey of healing. You were the rock that kept me from losing it, the encouragement when i felt hopeless and the fighter when i had no desire to advocate for myself.” Brooklyn paused to blink away some tears as she swallowed a lump that had formed in her throat at the memory of him by her side. “I thank god every day for sending me such a wonderful man whom i not only love but i feel safe with. Without you by my side i have no desire to fight. We have already faced so much and it brought us closer and made our bond stronger. I stand here reaffirmed in what I already know: that our bond is deep rooted and solid, not to be easily swayed by any storm that passes us by. We will continue to grow stronger as the days pass and our love will only grow deeper.”
Before she continued Brooklyn wiped at the tears on her face and looked up at Tristan when she could with the lines she had memorized. “Tristan welcott, I vow to spend our life together supporting you how you have supported me. No matter the good or the bad, I will never leave you. I vow to cherish and nourish our bond no matter how crazy our life gets or the obstacles before us. I vow to never take you or our love for granted. To show our children how wonderful, kind and brave you are and to be thankful for every moment we have together. I vow to be faithful and to take care of you whenever you need me to and even times you don't think I need to. My heart is yours to love and I vow to love yours, forever and always.”
Emotions hung heavy in the area the ceremony was being held. Their words as sweet as they were rung true with everything they had faced together. It was no secret of how brutal had been but in this very moment, despite them alluding to it, that didn’t matter. What mattered were the words the minister said a few words about the strength of a marriage and the sacred bond between a man and wife. Brooklyn could barely concentrate as she snuck glances at Tristan and squeezed his hands. When he slipped that wedding band on her finger a happy sob escaped form her upturned lips. And her slipping his on only made tears shine in her eyes again. They had made it. They had truly made it to this moment of being married. Husband and wife. Mr. and mrs. Tristan welcott. Brooklyn could not be happier.
When the minister said that Tristan may now kiss the bride she was sure some people-her family mainly-thought she’d just throw herself at Tristan. No Brooklyn was sweet in leaning forward to press her lips to his own. Bliss spread through her entire form and filled her heart. When the kiss broke she couldn’t help but have a small moment with her husband, despite those around, where she pressed her forehead to his. A few tears escaped as she spoke only words for him. “I love you Tristan. I love you so very much.”

[atrb=border,0,true]it‘s amazing to me how every day you save my life Cameron felt a bit awkward at this wedding. Yes Brooklyn was kylie’s best friend but they were in italy. He had to rearrange his schedule to get here but it was good he was here. He had become Brooklyn’s unofficial doctor while here. There were a couple moments this past week when she ha gotten dizzy or short of breath and cameron helped her out. No one pushed her to do anything but everyone, including Cameron, knew what she was like. Brooklyn just did things without really thinking too much. She pushed herself to the edge of where she should’ve stopped long ago. More then once he, kyle and Tristan got on her case and if they didn’t her parents did.
Cameron also enjoyed this mini vacation with kylie when she wasn’t busy. Cameron wasn’t dumb-he saw the emotions playing as she helped with the wedding and glanced at him. He was thinking about it too. Them getting married that is but he already had plans for that. He just didn’t want her to know yet and played it cool. Kylie may think he wasn’t thinking about it but he was and he liked that she didn’t know it. It’d make the surprise so much more fun when the time came around. For now he kept playing dumb and didn’t talk about it too much. Haven was in on it and it was a lot of fun to be pulling it off.
Before he went down for the ceremony, cameron went to see kylie and check in on Brooklyn. He didn’t get too long with his girlfriend before he went down. He sat about halfway back to leave the better seats with family. Cameron had his own camera out ready to take pictures. As he stood watching the wedding party come down he clicked some photos. He knew kylie would appreciate them along with the professional ones that were being taken.
Cameron sat through the wedding and yes, even he got choked up. Part of it was he was there that night. Instinctively his eyes also traveled to see how kylie was doing with it and then oliver. Their little group had been through so much this past year, all caused by this Avery person. But Avery couldn’t take away the happiness they were all feeling at this very moment. If only they could rub it in this terrible person’s face. As the bride and groom kissed he couldn’t help but get a photo of that moment and the one right after. Hopefully the images came out well enough.
Cameron moved with the guests to congratulate the couple. Before that he pulled his girlfriend aside to steal a tender kiss with her. “now kylie stowe were those tears I saw in your eyes? How cliché to be crying at a wedding.” he grinned down at her as his arms rested around her back.

Tristan couldn't believe he was saying that and about Brooklyn. She was his wife, she was Mrs. Tristan Welcott. Taking Brooklyn's hand, Tristan turned towards their guests as they were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Tristan Welcott. Turning back to Brooklyn, Tristan lifted her into his arms and carried her down the aisle to the small alcove at the back where they were to receive their guests. Married at last. They were married at last and Tristan had never been happier or more in love with his beautiful wife. [/ul]

Kylie reached up to fix a few of his hairs that had gone awry. I'll see you out there. Kylie gave Cameron one more kiss, a long passionate one this time. I missed you last night. She explained, before slipping back into the room to finish helping Brooklyn. It had been a long time since Kylie and Cameron had slept separately and she'd decided that she didn't really like it. As Kylie walked down the aisle, she noticed Cameron snapping pictures of her and for her. She also noticed the suit he was wearing. He hadn't been wearing it when he'd popped by her room about an hour ago. She wondered where he'd gotten it, as she didn't remember seeing it before and knew it wasn't in the closet at home. Unless he'd somehow hidden it in the back. Cameron certainly could surprise her. Kylie couldn't help but smile and cry as she listened to Tristan's vows. If she was crying she knew Brooklyn was just a mess. When it was Brooklyn's turn, Kylie sipped her a small handkerchief she'd been saving for her best friend. Brooklyn's vows were equally as beautiful and loving and heartfelt as Tristan's. Kylie just couldn't be happier for the two of them. They were simply the most quintessential couple that God had ever put together. When the ceremony had concluded and they had all descended the aisle, Kylie immediately looked around for Cameron and smiled as she soon saw him making his way towards her. She smiled as he wrapped his arm around her middle and pulled her aside. Kylie met Cameron's lips when he leaned in to kiss her. The kiss was sweet and tender but passionate, as always. Kylie loved that every time Cameron kissed her, she still got that almost electric shock. It didn't matter how small or big the kiss. Kylie laughed, blushing a little as Cameron teased her about crying. Well I saw you getting a little choked up there too Mr. Matthews. Kylie winked at him in a flirty manner. By the way...Where did this suit come from? Kylie tugged at the tie a little bit, raising an eyebrow. It looks great on you... Kylie said, biting her lip, then leaned close where only Cameron could hear her. But gosh does it make me want to get you out of it. Kylie discretely nibbled his ear before pulling away and smiling at him like she was the most innocent thing that ever walked the earth. You going to escort me into the dinning room? Kylie asked, and slid her arm into the crook of his. [/ul]
