Us admin realize it way more then you may think but we see people log in but not post. Or leave a message in the cbox about their lack of activity but can’t throw up an away thread? This is getting to be a bit annoying. This site is character driven-the reactions of people in town are what fuels Avery. We need those reactions. From now on, when we say a site thread is closing a certain day, it will close no matter if you’ve gotten to post a reaction or not. Now, we have changed the rule. You only have to post with each character every three weeks but keep in mind-the setting changes every six to seven weeks. So if you’re going to post in a major thread you must be mindful of that. Creating Characters: We have no instilled a code word. Even if you are currently a member you must find the code word for each new character. We will change the code word & the placement of it in the rules randomly so go through it. We have had too many people who are not following the rules. Word count: We have raised the word count to 300. We know there will be plenty of members who don’t agree but we’re seeing posts where the previous word count wasn’t even being met. Every app has a sample post of over 300 words yet regular posts cannot be the same length? This is becoming a bother. Use admin do not mind helping with coding issues or giving pointers & we welcome players wanting their characters involved in the main plot. We encourage it. It’s why we do the site event s& the special Avery threads-we want everyone involved. But that also only works if everyone abides by the rules. I know rules are annoying but they’re there for a reason. While we have outlined most of the changes above, we’d like everyone to take another glance over the rules. So, we are requiring everyone to pm AshleyP the current code word. You do not have to do it from every account. Do it once & list your characters(first name is fine). Why are we doing this now? The next Avery related thread will be going up on Wednesday, March 27th. We’d like the while board on the same page because of it. -Shelby, Ashley & Cupcake |
