Haven listened for a few minutes. There was no yelling which she took as a good sign. She quietly unlocked the door and made her way back to the house. See? Sometimes all people needed were a little push in the right direction. Cameron had helped Louis with winning her back. Now she had helped him and her sister fix things.
Cameron was content not talking about the matters behind them anymore. He just wanted to move forward now. Past his stupid mistake. A mistake he’d never make again. Even if her parents tried again he wouldn’t let them get away with trying to break them up. Kylie now knew everything so he could go to her. While it was a terrible way for her parents to be ousted it was about time they were. The two of them could stand up to them-together. Cameron just hated the idea of Kylie and her parents fighting. That was no way to live. He hadn’t grown up with either of his so it didn’t matter so much to him. When the drunk that was his father showed up, there were no issues with arguing with him.
Cameron hadn’t expected such vigor form Kylie when he kissed her. She looked downright frail and exhausted. That didn’t mean he wasn’t happy. He met her every movement, his fingers gently fanned out in her hair. He had missed this more then he cared to admit to anyone. He had tried to deny it hurt him as much as it was but he really couldn’t do it forever. Even when they parted he pressed soft kisses along her forehead, her nose and cheekbones before moving to the side of her head while she rested on his shoulder. He buried his face in her hair. Cameron’s fingers played with the end of her locks as he closed his eyes. ”I won’t, baby. I won’t let you go.” The double meaning of that statement was clear to the two of them as he held her close to himself.
Cameron pulled his head back a bit to look over her head where her gaze was going. ”I’m glad you like it. I’ve been working on it pretty much since your parents took you away,” he mumbled out. He had worked on the sketches beforehand since he couldn’t do much work until it had gotten a little warmer. ”The entire downstairs for you to design in. there’s a supply closet down there. It has sketch books, needles, a thread wall and other knick knacks. The fabrics have their own place. This is your closet where you can put finished pieces. I know with Haven’s wedding this autumn you’ll probably want to have someplace for everything. It’s all temperature controlled so you’ll never have ot worry. That other room is your office.” He knew she had a studio in Chicago but she needed her own space here in Maine for when she came around. The room she had before was too small. Besides, Louis had taken it over with his own things.
After Kylie had laced their hands together Cameron gently laid backward so that she could lay on him, her forehead to his own still. A grin peeked across his features. ”Well I’m pretty sure you don’t want to stay in here all night. Plus, we are loading you up with carbs as soon as we get back in that house. Pasta, a steak, some bread and some sort of vegetable, I don’t care.” Kylie was much too thin. He could feel some of her ribs when he had been rubbing at her back before. Cameron kissed the tip of her nose gently.
”Besides tomorrow I want to show off I have my girl back. Though I hope Brooklyn doesn’t hit me again in seeing us together.”

Kylie shook her head as she looked around, listening to Cameron explain what everything was for and how long he'd been putting it all together. To say she was overwhelmed was an understatement. Cameron....I don't deserve this. She said, barely above a whisper as her emotions began to overtake her once more. Kylie had done nothing in her life to deserve anything like this. But she was feeling especially bad about recent events and today's most of all. The way she had treated Cameron, the things she had accused him of. Kylie felt so ashamed and embarrassed. She wished so much, she could just take it all back. Kylie hugged him for a few minutes, resting her head on his shoulder, until Cameron moved her to face him. Love for him poured over even more as he kissed her forehead and her cheek bones and dealt just as gently, and sensually with her as he ever hand before. Kylie let Cameron pull her down with him, as he lay on the floor. Kylie pressed against his forehead, smiling sweetly as she held held his upper arm with one hand and stroked his hair with the other. The food sounded good, but Kylie didn't eat much these days and that wasn't about to change overnight. Further proof that she had Haven were indeed sisters (Not that anyone really doubted it of course), they both dealt with stress and grief and anxiety by eating less food. It wasn't really a decision they made, it was how their bodies reacted. Kylie just didn't get that hungry. Or if she did, she just couldn't finish the food anyway. Cameron might find a few things different about Kylie now-a-days. At least she hadn't had any nightmares like Haven. Sounds good. Kylie smiled and gave him a soft little kiss on the lips. She didn't want to worry him by saying it was too much food, or that she hadn't eaten all day and really, she still wasn't hungry. Kylie would just do her best to eat as much as she could and hopefully, keep Cameron from worrying. Kylie laughed about Cameron wanting to show her off. Why? She was a skeleton of what she once was. People would notice, they would comment, they would say something to her and/or Cameron. Nevertheless, Kylie would roll with the punches, for his sake, if not for her own. I won't let Brooklyn lay a finger on you. She promised. Kylie's arms hung around Cameron's neck, as he lifted her and carried her to the home she'd once shared with Haven. Some new touches had been added. Louis' touches she assumed. Paintings of Havens and artwork including his lyrics. It was beautiful and even homier then it had been before. When Cameron set her down, to go start working on dinner, Kylie milled about, further examining it before she came back to the kitchen. Kylie rested her head on Cameron's back, and her arms around his waist, as he moved about the kitchen, her own form moving with his. Kylie could hear the every beat of his heart. It was a beautiful sound. Being so close to him, loving him again, was so warm and comforting. Does he take good care of her? Kylie asked, meaning Louis and Haven of course. It appeared that Louis did, but Kylie couldn't know for sure without asking and she figured since Cameron had been living here, he had to know. STATUS! complete TAGS! Cameron's brow furrowed in confusion. Why didn't she think she deserved it? He was the one who had royally screwed things up-not her. And Cameron was more then willing to say he had messed up. His fingertips pushed some hair behind her ear. ”Of course you do, baby. You deserve it all. I may not be able to lavish you in expensive gifts but this is something I can give you." Cameron knew his lack of money was one issue but that didn't mean Cameron didn't care or couldn't do non-physical things to show he cared. This was something he could do for her. Then he'd find other things to do for her as well. Cameron would do anything for his beautiful girl.
Cameron had thought he would feel her finger tips along his skin and hair. Her lips on his or to breath in time with her while her heart beat through her chest and against his own. That he would never breath in her sweet scent of peaches and vanilla with a slight hint of florals. That scent was intoxicating and stirred up so many memories. He never wanted to live without her beside him again. These two months had been torture without her. Now he wouldn't have to be separated from her. He'd even follow her wherever she had to go for work. There would be times he couldn't go because he was a doctor after all but he'd go whenever possible. Cameron would be there with her and support her as much as possible. He loves her too much to do anything she wanted.
Cameron laughed at her statement about Brooklyn. ”Well that makes.me happy. We can go see her and do whatever you want whenever you're ready." There was probably plenty to figure out like about her splitting her time between here and Chicago, traveling and to get healthy again. He had a feeling he'd have to ask Louis advice on how he got Haven to eat more. As Cameron pulled her close and carried her down the stairs, out the barn and up the hill he could feel how much weight she had lost. Cameron had a feeling if he saw her without her shirt on he'd probably see more ribs then he wanted. Cameron's heart broke that he had done this to her. He would spend the rest if his life making it up to her. Cameron would never let them go through this again. He just couldn't do it to her-to them.
When in the house he reluctantly put her down. On the fridge was a note from Haven that she was spending a couple nights down in Florida to go over wedding stuff with Louis' mom. He had a feeling that was just the reason given. He opened the fridge and found the steaks that was supposed to be for tomorrow night. He doubted Haven would care. As he pulled them out he grabbed some potatoes to bake. First he put the roasted garlic teriyaki sauce and seasonings he wanted on the steaks before he began to prepare the potatoes to bake. Kylie's arms around his waist made things difficult. There was a bit of awkward waddle type walk as they moved and he laughed. ”Woman you are making things highly difficult right now!" With the potatoes in the oven he turned to face her and lifted Kylie to sit on the kitchen counter. He moved to lean between her legs and wrapped his arms between her waist. Cameron sighed thoughtfully. ”Yeah, he does. I don't hear her screaming at night for very long anymore. He makes her eat and he honestly makes her happier then Clark did. I think you'll really like him." Cameron paused as he went to her shoulders and massaged them gently. ”Don't bring up how he left her or anything that happened before getting back together. It's sort of unspoken we don't talk about it. He feels bad enough about it." Cameron didn't really want to talk about Haven or Louis right now. All he wanted to talk about was Kylie and them.
Cameron reached up to cup one hand along the side of her head. He ran his thumb along her cheekbone as he stared into her beautiful eyes. ”So how do you want to do things? I have to clear out your room. Louis room over that spare room so your stuff is in there." Cameron, honestly, would move to Chicago if she really wanted. He could find work anywhere as long as he was with her.

She gave a little laugh. Oh Brooklyn! Kylie couldn't wait to see her best friend (outside of Cameron and Haven of course). But she wanted to spend time with Cameron first. They had things to catch up on. They had to get reacquainted with one another and figure some things out. There was so little, yet so much they had to figure out. And much was contingent on whether or not her parents were going t be ass's or if they were going to be supportive of her and her decision to stand by Cameron. Kylie loved her parents and was grateful for everything they'd done for her. She appreciated them. But Kylie would choose Cameron over them if they forced her to. For now...I just want to lay in your arms and forget there was ever a time when I wasn't here with you Kylie breathed. Kylie laughed when Cameron said she was making things difficult for him and hugged him all the tighter. Kylie didn't want to let him go. She gave out a little happy yelp as Cameron lifted her onto the counter. Kylie stared down at him, smiling, that all too familiar glow coming back into her eyes. That glow, that sparkle, that only he could put there. Kylie rested her hands on his sinewy upper arms, loving the feel of his muscles beneath her palms. She leaned forward and kissed his forehead, lingering for a moment before pulling away. Kylie cocked her head, as she listened to Cameron talk about Louis and the relationship he and Haven had. A small, happy, smile graced her features. Louis sounded like he was perfect for Haven. She was so happy for her older sister. She nodded her head when Cameron told her not to say anything to him about the past. As if she would! But Kylie understood what Cameron was saying. She closed her eyes, heaving a contented sight as Cameron rubbed her shoulders. It was so relaxing when he did that. Nothing could take away her stress and worries faster, than attention from her Cameron. Kylie leaned her head into Cameron's hand as he caressed her cheek. Smiling, she closed her eyes and brought her arms up to wrap around his neck. Her head rolled in a circle until it came forward to touch against his forehead. I want to....get our own place...An apartment, temporarily and build a house here, near Haven and Louis...if Haven will let us. Kylie told him. She was quite sure that Haven wouldn't mind them staying on the same property. They could even make payments to her and Louis on half the property or something I know it would be expensive...and we probably couldn't do it right away....But ultimately that's what I want...I don't want to live in a big city. I want a place I can come home to, after being in bustling, big, fast paced, cities, and just relax in the piece and quiet, with you. Kylie leaned in and kissed Cameron, thrusting her tongue into his mouth, familiarizing herself with each curve once more. [/ul]

As Kylie ran her hands through his hair, he made a mental note to get it cut. And to shave off his three day old stubble. With her gone he hadn’t really taken much care of himself-he saw no reason to. He wasn’t a guy who switched from woman to woman so with them broken apart, he saw no reason at all to keep up with his appearances. Cameron kept things neat enough to get through work and that was it-nothing more. Now he had a reason to keep up with how he looked. To make Kylie happy and proud to be seen with him. She never gave him reason to believe she wasn’t but it was still a fact of the matter.
Cameron chuckled as he pressed a kiss to the tip of her nose. ”alright. Whatever your wish is my command.” truth be told, he was glad she didn’t want to rush off to see everyone. He wanted some time alone with his girl. No, not to push anything but to just be with her. He had missed her so much these last couple of months. Not being able to hold her each day was torture. Not seeing or hearing from her was even worse. Cameron just hoped this wouldn’t cause problems with her. He’d never be able to forgive himself if it did.
The look on her eyes gave him hope, though. They looked brighter then they did even an hour ago. He missed that sparkle in them and her infectious smile. His own heart couldn’t help but sore to see her so full of joy. Cameron would do everything he could that look from returning as often as possible. The way she looked right now, made joy lift in his own heart. That’s how he knew he loved her-when her own happiness mattered more then his own. Before he had been foolish thinking them being apart would make her happy. Cameron had obviously been wrong about that and he felt terrible for it. He wished he could take that all back but he couldn’t so all they could do was start over again. And this time Cameron would get everything right. He refused to let anyone nor anything between them again.
Cameron’s lips flattened in thought. ”Hmm maybe instead of our own place we could ask Haven if we can convert the basement? I only say that because her and Louis have this arrangement concerning tours. They’ll be gone two or three months stretches at a time and she already mentioned wanting me to stay to watch the house. We can do our own place just this is a suggestion is all.” Cameron did understanding wanting their own space. It could get awkward with two couples living in the same home. Especially once haven and Louis got married-whenever that was. Who knew how long after a family would follow? With how many close calls of nearly walking in on them, probably not long. That thought went right form his mind as he didn’t not want to ever think of someone who was like a sister in that position. Actually, Cameron didn’t want to think of anyone but Kylie in such a state of undress.
Cameron shrugged. ”I mean it’s not impossible. I know I have student loans to pay off but my credit is very good. I’ve never taken out a credit card so that’s a plus as well. Did you want to design our own place or do one of those modular thingys?” Cameron ran his hands along her sides just before she kissed him. His hands gripped tighter as he opened his mouth wider so their tongues could dance together. It didn’t take long for Cameron to find a comfortable pace as he kissed and caressed her. For a brief second he felt saddened at feeling how thin she was. He had done that to her. Still, he tried not to dwell on that and instead focus on the moment here and now with her.
After a few minutes, he pulled back. His breathing was heavy as he ran both hands through her hair. ”If you keep that up I’ll never get dinner done.” It was true considering what Kylie did to him and Cameron didn’t want to rush things. He didn’t want her to feel like they had to just because they had been apart for so long.

Kylie was trying not to sound like a diva right now, or put too much pressure on Cameron. She knew he had his student loans to pay off and that he'd just made that gorgeous studio for her and he certainly wasn't made of money. But she had money too. Haven would say yes...and Louis would because I'm Haven's sister probably...But I'd feel like we'd be invading their privacy, y'know? She said cautiously. When he asked about the kind of house she'd like, she certainly didn't want a modular. Mmmm...no. I was thinking something modern, but still stick built...Maybe we could have that L.G. Stirling place do it? I mean I know not right away...I know you have your loans and everything to pay off....It's just a long term goal, yknow? Again, she was trying hard not to put undue pressure on Cameron. Kylie didn't want him to feel like he had to do this right away or that Kylie thought she was too good to live in an apartment, because she didn't. Kylie's arms wrapped around Cameron's neck, hugging him gently as they kissed with a strong need for each other. Kylie had never thought she would need someone the way she needed Cameron. But she didn't mind needing him. In fact, Kylie quite liked it. She loved needing and being needed. Kylie loved this man so much. So much, that being parted from him, had nearly killed her. She laughed gently as he said he wouldn't get dinner done if she didn't stop. Kylie actually was getting a bit hungry, which surprised her. Kylie pretended to pout for a moment, then kissed him on the cheek. Alllllrrrriiiigght She sighed and smiled. Kylie pushed him towards the stove playfully, then hopped off the counter where she'd been placed by Cameron. Just then her phone rang, not looking at the id, Kylie picked it up. Hello? her voice rang with a hint of cheer, but her countenance fell a moment after. Sighing she looked at Cameron and mouthed that she'd be right back, then made her way to the living room. Kylie! Why did you hang up on me?! Her mother asked angrily. Mom...You know why! I can't believe you would even ask! Kylie raised her voice in frustrating. Kylie...your father and I were only trying to do what was best for you. Her mother insisted. Again...I'm an adult mom....you and dad don't get to decide what is best for me...Come to me, tell me what you think, respect me enough to be honest with me.....But don't ever go behind my back again and try to underhandedly break up my relationship with my sister and my boyfriend...That's just so low! I would never have believed you two were capable of anything like that...And it hurts me, more than you could ever understand. Kylie was trying to hold back the tears of frustration and anger and hurt. It felt as though her parents had betrayed her. I resent that Kylie! If we'd have come to you with our concerns, you wouldn't have listened to us..You'd have just gone and done what you wanted! We had to take matters into our own hands. Her mother explained. Seriously? Seriously mom?! You had to take matters into your own hands...Do you know how insane and ridiculous you sound? And y'know, you don't even know everything you cost me by doing that! Her mother scoffed. Kylie...the only thing it cost you was a relationship with two people who are below you....so cut the drama. A few tears fell down Kylie's cheeks now, she just couldn't keep them back any longer. No mom....you're wrong. You cost me much more than that...so much more. Her mother laughed again. Oh really, like what Kylie? Kylie could hear the cynicism in her voice. Like my child! That's what! There was dead silence on the phone for a few long seconds. Kylie....I...we didn't know....Sweetheart...I-I'm so sorry....I didn't think things were that serious between you... Kylie shook her head. No mom....you knew what Cameron was to me....But that's not what you wanted. And what you want obviously trumps what makes me happy....So when that changes you and dad can talk to me again. But until it does, I don't ever want to hear from you again. Kylie hung up the phone and fell to the couch, leaning forward and putting her head in her hands. Saying that to her mom had been so hard. Kylie didn't want to cut off her relationship with her parents. But it's what she had to do until things changed. It was the right thing to do. [/ul]

Cameron shrugged as he held her close. ”We don’t have to it was just a suggestion. Either way we have a couple months to save up a deposit and find someplace that’s suitable. I assume you’d want to be within driving distance because of her and your studio.” Cameron leaned forward and kissed along her collarbone slowly but more as he thought over things and drank in her scent. He missed holding her to him like this. A content sigh left his lips. He was quickly getting used to having her back this close to him again. He would never tire of it. Him and Kylie were meant to be just they had taken a small detour. Perhaps they needed this. As awful as it sounded, everything that had happened open Kylie’s eyes up to what her parents were doing. And maybe this would get her parents to change their ways so their daughter could be happy.
”Did you want to rent an apartment or a house?” There was plenty of each in town so it was just a matter of finding what would be best for them. All after figuring out what they could afford. He knew Kylie could afford more but he still wanted to contribute towards half of everything. He pulled away from her body to look her in her eyes while his fingers ran through her hair slowly, massaging her scalp slightly as he slipped through the golden locks. ”Alright modern sounds fine but can we not have all modern furniture. Those squared off couches just look ugly to me. Sorry baby but they really are.” Though Cameron did have to admit he was a fan of the simplicity of modern built homes. Most wouldn’t believe it with how things used to be crammed into his old apartment but he was never home long enough to organize is all. When he was home, he had usually been sleeping and then spending time with Kylie.
If Cameron could’ve kept up with kissing Kylie, he would have but they both needed food. Especially Kylie. That was one of the things on the forefront of Cameron’s mind-getting Kylie healthy again. Not that she didn’t look chipper or full of life but he could tell she had lost weight. He’d have to text Louis and ask how he got Haven to eat more even when the Stowe girl didn’t want to eat. Usually with Haven, Cameron just stared her down until she ate. Considering the two acted like siblings(for the most part) it worked. Well, it was working for this time while Louis was gone. With Kylie here hopefully it’d be easier. Or perhaps more difficult since neither of them seemed to be eating very much at all. Haven he was used to but not Kylie. Even if she didn’t eat a ton of food, Kylie always had a healthy appetite. Hopefully it’d get back to there soon.
Cameron took out the skillet, decided to forego cooking on the grill. The skillet would do just as well but he could stay inside. He threw the steaks on there and closed the glass lid. Part of him now wished he had gone outside to cook. When Kylie’s phone rang and then she saw her face, he knew it couldn’t be good. He kept cooking in silence except for the sounds of the meat sizzling. That didn’t do enough to mask Kylie’s voice. This wasn’t good. Cameron was not experienced with how a proper relationship between parents and children worked but he knew enough that how this sounded it was not the proper way for it to work. Cameron just kept his mouth shut as he cooked the food. He finished a few minutes before the conversation ended so he went and stood against the wall beside the doorway to the living room, out of sight of Kylie. He waited another minute or two before he went in there after she hung up.
Cameron sat down beside Kylie and began to rub her back as he spoke, his voice low. ”What did they have to say?”

She said softly, and hugged him, just needing to feel his warmth against her own body. Kylie gave him a loving squeeze as he kissed her collarbone, sending pleasured chills down her spine. Kylie thought about his question for a few moments. The thought of them living anywhere together was happy and comforting, but the thought of them living in a nice little house to start out, maybe a cottage style or something, warmed her heart. Kylie imagined them curled up by the fire, covered with fluffy throw blankets and holding mugs of warm liquid in the winter, and having breakfast on the porch on Saturday mornings in the summers. I think a house....Just a little one until we buy or build our own, y'know? Some rustic but contemporary? Kylie laughed out loud, sounding very amused at his comment about the couches. Okay....no squared off couches. She kissed his forehead. What about a dog? Kylie asked, out of the blue. She'd never really even thought about it herself until now. As she imagined their lives together, she saw a dog in there somewhere. Not a great big one. She was to petite to handle a big dog. But not a little yippey one either. Something in between. Everyone needs a dog right? And then she thought about the fact that, she didn't even know if Cameron liked dogs. Do you like dogs? Or cats, do you like cats? Have we talked about this? Kylie laughed a little and shook her head, not knowing why she'd even got off on that tangent. Kylie heard Cameron come into the room and felt him sit down beside her on the couch. His hand touched her, rubbing up and down her back. It was so comforting, but her heart was still so heave. Pushing her hair behind her ears, Kylie leaned against Cameron and sighed. She laced her fingers through the hand that wasn't at her back, rubbing her thumb over his repeatedly, while they sat silently. Finally she spoke. I....I told them about the baby.....I didn't want to. But mom said the only thing I'd lost was... Kylie shook her head and looked up at Cameron, biting her lip as a few tears escaped her eyes. Y'know what? It doesn't matter what they said....It was ridiculous anyway....All that matters is me and you and that we're together and we're happy. I don't care what they think or say. Kylie touched his cheek gently, before wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning up to kiss him passionately. Kylie wasn't going to let anyone say anything against Cameron and Haven ever again. They were her sister and the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with. She knew them, she was confident in them, she loved them. No one else mattered anymore, and that was that. Cameron knew Kylie well enough to know what she would want. Actually he knew both Stowe sisters. With the paths their lives are going he had a feeling they’d each want to be near one another. Good thing him and Louis were getting along better. Actually, a lot better. Now that they had been living under the same roof they had bonded of sorts. Of course there was the difference that Cameron loved his smart phone while Louis’ was vastly outdated but that was minor. Also, Cameron couldn’t help but laugh if Haven and Louis did get in a fight. It was highly comical and something out of a movie honestly. Kylie would see soon enough though he had a feeling with the sisterly instincts might kick in and she’d say something. Then Cameron would just leave the room to laugh even harder.
”How about I leave you to pick out the place, deal? I think that’s safer then me doing it.” Cameron did not pretend to be an expert when it came to designs and whatnot. He knew modern design was annoying, though, as he had seen some places set up like that. Or he should say modern furniture was annoying. Just not comfortable at all. Plus, Cameron was fairly easy to please with thing like a place to live and food. As long as he had those-and now Kylie in the mix-he was completely fine. ”A dog? What kind of dog were you thinking?” Cameron had always been hesitant about a pet because of the hours he worked. He couldn’t be home enough to take care of a pet but he’d consider it for Kylie. Which, he placed a hand on her mouth playfully as he laughed. ”A dog is fine now stop rambling, woman.” Cameron removed his hand just to place a kiss to her lips softly.
Cameron just sat there until Kylie was ready to talk. He didn’t want to push her with a subject as sensitive as her parents. Well, now it was a sensitive subject. Instead he just showed he was there until he knew she was closer to being ready to talk then kept quiet as she answered his question. He leaned to place his chin atop her head as he sighed. Honestly he figured she would’ve told them about the baby. Then again, hey didn’t seem like the type of people who’d pleased at the thought of even a pregnancy before marriage so it was probably safer that she hadn’t. ”I’m sorry you had to tell them. I wish I had words to make it better but I don’t. I can only hope they come around for your sake.” His lips pressed together in a thin line. He did not like her parents were doing this to her and already had a plan forming in his head. Just it was executing it that would be…difficult. All Cameron could do for now was keep silent on the matter because, no, he didn’t think it’d be good if it was just them. Yes, he was happy having her but he saw Brooklyn in town all the time. She was different since the fight with her parents. A little of the Brooklyn spirit was gone.
Cameron had to admit he was a little taken aback by her moving in to kiss him at that moment after having such a conversation. Still he wrapped his arms around her to pull Kylie onto his lap and have her closer to him. He moved his lips with hers and ran his hands down her sides before he gripped her hips gently. When they took a moment ot breath he laughed. ”Woman I know my cooking isn’t the best but kissing me like this won’t stop me from making you eat some dinner.”

Kylie protested in a whiny voice. I want to pick it out together...It's not my place or your place...It's our place... She ran her fingers through his sandy colored hair. We pick together. Kylie was going to stay firm on that. She wanted them to make all their decisions jointly from now on. They were together, a couple, not individuals free from another person. What Kylie did in life affected Cameron and vice versa. Kylie shrugged when Cameron asked her about the dog and looked downward slightly. I dunno....Big dog, little dog, medium dog? I don't know...just a dog....find one on the street or go to a shelter...I just think a dog will...complete us Kylie shrugged again and laughed, realizing how silly she must have sounded to Cameron. It was just the ideal American family she'd always envisioned. Husband, Wife, Dog and eventually a kid. Of course...they weren't married yet...they weren't even engaged yet. But Kylie hoped they would be someday in the not too distant future. More then anything on this earth, she wanted to be Mrs. Cameron Matthews. But she had never really said a whole lot on that score only because she didn't want Cameron to feel pressured and she would continue on that way for as long as she could stand it. Kylie smiled into the kiss Cameron laid gently on her lips, after he'd instructed her to stop going on about the dog. Every time their lips touched, Kylie had to hold back tears. Tears of pain and anger and hurt and joy and disbelief, all at the same time. Kylie knew she was going to have to let things go, and keep other things in check. But right now, with everything that had happened in the past and today, and all that had been revealed to her about the situation, was overwhelming her and she knew she was going to have to take it all one day at a time and progress on the letting go, of the hurtful things, would take time. As Kylie leaned against Cameron, his comforting arms closing about her, she felt his chin lower to rest atop her head. She always liked when he did that, because she felt almost fully encompassed by him then and that was a feeling she enjoyed. Often times, before, Kylie would wrap her arms around him, lean against his chest and swing her legs over his lap and his arms would wrap around her and his chin atop her head, just like it was now. Kylie always felt safe and comfortable and invincible in Cameron's arms. Like nothing at all could touch her...just him. Kylie sniffled a little during his comments and nodded her head. I know there's not much you can say babe...But being here and being willing to deal with all this is enough...it's more then enough...it's more then anyone should ever be asked to do. Kylie said softly, as it became clearer and clearer to her, why Cameron had felt like there was nothing he could do better for her, then to leave her behind. But she was glad he had been wrong in that, and that now they were back together and this time, nothing was going to separate them. Kylie kissed Cameron with a need and a hunger. One she couldn't seem to control right now and she didn't care to either. She had missed him and she was making up for lost time. When they came up for air and Cameron spoke, Kylie laughed and kissed his cheek. Alright...lets go taste this meal of yours. She got up from the couch, holding his hand as she did to and leaned her body against his as they walked into the kitchen together. Cameron... She said softly, biting her lip. Thank you...for not giving up me...for trying to fix things....I love you so much. And her eyes showed it.[/ul]
