[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Haven moved about the kitchen preparing everything for Kylie’s arrival. She practically had to shoo Cameron out of the kitchen though he didn’t know why. He assumed Haven was pmsing to which he got smacked upside the head. No, she just had plans that he didn’t know about. Nor that Kylie knew about. Actually, Cameron had no idea Kylie was coming back to Maine and Kylie had no idea Cameron was living in Haven’s home. Oh the eldest Stowe girl was playing with fire but she didn’t care. She was tired of her sister and the doctor being idiots and not fixing things. Sure, Cameron was working on something to show Kylie he still loved her and that was a step in the right direction but just a step. And Kylie refused to hear anything about Cameron. Haven was at wits end.
So she may have fibbed. Just a little.
Louis had proposed to Haven which everyone was excited about. Kylie mentioned being there every step of the way so Haven got an idea. She told Kylie that her and Louis wanted to get married before they went on his tour. So basically they had just over a week. Kylie said she’d fly out immediately and then Haven quickly called Brooklyn, Jesse and Louis to get them to all say that the wedding was in a week. Louis was very supportive of Haven’s plan. Brooklyn not so much but she figured once Brooklyn knew what Kylie’s parents had said to Cameron to drive them apart then she knew Kylie’s best friend would come around. Just it wasn’t Haven’s place to tell her. It would be Cameron’s job just right now he was scared of Brooklyn.
Kylie had said she was renting a car which was perfect so she could make sure Cameron stayed down in the little barn. When she heard the car pull up Haven clapped her hands and ran out to meet Kylie. She squealed a bit as she ran to her sister and engulfed her in a hug. ”Oh I missed you so much!” Haven stepped back and showed Kylie the ring which was very unique to Haven’s style-black gold with amethyst all around it. ”Ok so just leave everything here. I want to show you where the wedding will be. We’ve been storing everything there, including the fabric for the wedding dress so that Louis doesn’t see it. Then we can get you settled in your room and go over all the plans.” Haven didn’t even give Kylie time to protest. She grabbed her sister’s hand and led her the quarter mile or so to the pond where the smaller of the two barns was.
The two girls chatted as Haven adjusted her leather jacket. Underneath were two tank tops layered over one another-a black ribbed tank then a hi-low pick one. Her jeans were distressed and she wore her All Stars without caring if anything got dirty. When they reached the barn Haven opened the door to it and motioned for Kylie to step in first. As soon as Kylie was inside, Haven slammed the door shut and quickly locked it from the outside. None of the doors had double sided locks yet so this was the perfect time to do so before Cameron replaced them all. ”You’re not coming out until you resolve your issues! I’ll wait all day if I have to!” Oh, Kylie was bound to kill Haven but she didn’t care. Haven had already come down earlier today and made sure all the windows were sealed from the outside with planks of wood across them and the large set of double barn doors had their lock done up. And she had slyly removed Cameron’s key off the ring while he came up for food so he couldn’t let the two of them out.
Haven moved to sit on a boulder and crossed her legs, waiting until everything was fixed. Or she heard sounds she really didn’t want to. Either would cause her to unlock the door and book it back into her house.

Things in Kylie's life had been rough since Cameron had broken up with her. Really rough. The whole thing had changed her, and not for the better. The once vibrant, bubbly, young woman, was now seemingly a shadow of what she once had been. Her parents had forced her to come back to Chicago, separating her from the two people she needed the most at the time, Brooklyn and Haven. But only because she'd been too sick and too weak to fight them on it. They had expected that once she recovered, she'd go right back to work and everything that had happened to her in Hope Harbor would be forgotten. But nothing could be farther from the truth. Kylie was depressed. She didn't really have a desire to go out and do anything. He work no longer held any pleasure for her. She did't go out with her friends, or anything. She mostly stayed at home watching depressing movies or just laid in bed al day. Kylie was too haunted by the grief of losing the baby and what might have been if Cameron hadn't ended things between them. Some people said she was just wallowing in self pity. And perhaps if it were just the fact that Cameron had left her, that would have been true. But no, it was just that she was so overtaken by the grief of losing that baby. The child she'd been so excited about and had already loved so very much.
Kylie had kept regular contact with Brooklyn and Haven. Brooklyn never mentioned anything to do with Cameron. They mostly just talked about her upcoming wedding, and how she needed to make a trip to Chicago. Haven however, frequently tried to broach the subject of Cameron, but Kylie would either ask Haven to stop talking about it, or ignore her comments all together. It wasn't that Kylie didn't love Cameron anymore, or that she didn't want to get back together with him, because she did. It was just that it was still too painful to talk about. Besides that, Kylie didn't have much hope of reconciliation with Cameron. He'd left her and to her knowledge hadn't tried to contact her since. As far as Kylie was concerned, that looked like a clean break. It didn't appear that Cameron was, or ever had looked back.
When Kylie got the call from Haven that she and Louis were getting married, she actually felt excited. There had been a long while where Kylie really couldn't stand Louis. But since Haven had explained things in greater detail, it all made much more sense now and Louis and her sister seemed the perfect match. Kylie said she'd on the next available flight out and immediately went to pack up her bags. When she told her parents what was happening, they tried to keep her from going, for reasons she didn't understand. But Kylie was still strong willed and insisted they couldn't change her mind and she left.
The flight wasn't very long and getting the rental at the airport was quick. Kylie drove out to Haven's house, some of the sites of Hope Harbor making her smile and some making her tear up. When she pulled up to the house, she saw her sister come running out. Kylie quickly got out of the car and wrapped her arms about her sister. I've missed you too! She said, her voice a little weak as she held back a few tears, squeezing Haven as hard as she comfortably could. It was obvious that Kylie had lost some weight, her already thin limbs, looking a bit frail now. She wore a pink dress, and a light, cream sweater in an effort to hide it from Haven, who would no doubt comment.
Kylie smiled, though the brightness in her eyes that had once accompanied that smile, was missing. She held Haven's hand, examining the ring. OH my gosh...it's so beautiful Haven! She really couldn't have been happier for her older sister. She listened to Haven, trying to catch the words that flew from her mouth so quickly. I can't wait to see it! She said with excitement, knowing that her sister and picked out something truly unique and classy for her wedding gown.
Kylie enjoyed chatting with her sister and doing some much needed catching up as they walked to the smaller barn. She had missed this place, missed Haven and Brooklyn and of course and most of all, Cameron. But she wasn't going to go there. Haven even got Kylie laughing a few times, which was hard to do these days.
When they reached the barn, Haven let Kylie go in first. Oh my gosh! You've done so much with it! She exclaimed, looking around. But when she turned back to Haven and heard her words, she moved forward only to have the door slammed and locked in her face. Kylie tried the door handle a few times, to no avail. What was Haven talking about? Had she finally gone crazy?! What did she mean, "you two"? Kylie was the only one in here! Haven! Haven?! Kylie beat her fist against the door a few times. What the heck are you talking about?! After a few minutes of this, Kylie resigned herself to the fact, that Haven wasn't going to let her out, for some reason.
Sighing, Kylie walked around the place looking around at all the different fabrics and tools. She went to the desk, running her hand along it and looking at the sketch books and pencils. What was all this about? Haven wasn't a designer. Maybe Brooklyn was setting up shop here? But why? She had her own space. Kylie explored downstairs a bit more, before finding the little staircase. Grabbing the rail, she slowly climbed, looking ever upward, still very confused.
When Kylie reached the top of the stairs, she turned off the landing to see Cameron sitting there. She didn't even know what exactly he was doing and wasn't going to take the time to find out. Involuntarily, Kylie's hand went over her mouth as she took a sharp breath in. Quickly turning around, Kylie hurried back down the stairs and ran to the door. Beating on it she yelled for Haven again. Haven! Let me out! Right! Now! Tears began to stream down her face. She could hear Cameron's heavy footstep coming down the stairs. Haven! Please!
Kylie couldn't bear to come face to face with Cameron. She didn't want to talk to him. She wanted to be away from him. He'd hurt her so deeply and indirectly, he'd caused the loss of their child. Though Kylie would never, ever blame him for that. Turning around, Kylie kept her head down. Cameron, please....just let me be. She said through the tears. She just couldn't bring herself to look at him.

Empty.
That’s all Cameron felt since Kylie had left. Purely empty. He walked around like a zombie and there was nothing anyone could do to change that. He got up, went to work, ate and then came home. Well, to Haven’s. It still felt strange to be living here despite Haven pretty much forcing him to stay here. When not at work he came down to the small barn to fix it up into a design studio for Kylie. Despite them being broken up he still did things for her because yes, he still loved her. He hadn’t wanted things to go this way but forces drove them apart and now what was done was done. Kylie didn’t even want to hear Cameron explain things out. Or, if it was her parents, it just proved there was no way she could ever be her own person. Cameron loved her but he would not deal with someone always trying to break them apart.
That and he was a little upset at Kylie. She had been pregnant and hadn’t told him. Actually, that really pissed him off. That was something major to keep from him. It was their child and she kept it a secret but she could tell Brooklyn and Haven about it? Then she really expected no one to tell him. Granted, Haven letting it slip was an accident. Sort of. He might have taken advantage of her being on her sleeping medication a bit to get the information out. More so he was trying to figure out why Kylie might not be returning his calls but she was speaking to Haven. The elder Stowe girl sort of let that slip out. Cameron had been heartbroken and angry all at once. Now all his emotions had just clamed down to a tolerable numbness.
After getting about six hours of sleep Carmon had set off to work on the barn. Part way through the day he went to grab a bite to eat and some water. Haven was acting weird and practically shoved him out the door. Whatever. He just refilled his water bottle and went back down to the barn. Today he was working on the shelving in the closet and measuring to lay the carpeting out. It was already painted and the mirrors on the ceiling were up along with the lights. The carpet wouldn’t be hard as he already had the material stored in the office area. Cameron sat down at the desk and pulled out the plans for the shelving that he was building himself. The wood was in a pile and he’d get to it soon enough but he wanted to double check things. He had his iPod ear buds in with the music cranked up to drown out the emptiness of the barn.
Empty until a very alive ghost appeared.
Out of the corner of his eye, Cameron saw movement. He looked up and saw Kylie there. Cameron was dumbfounded for a moment. Was the lack of sleep getting to him and he was hallucinating? Nope. If he was a hallucination she’d be running to him not away from him. He yanked his ear buds out as he pushed away from the seat. ”KYLIE!” He shouted before he grunted in frustration. If he was hear he was going to take full advantage of this situation. How he got here was beyond him. Cameron tossed the music player on the desk, not caring to actually shut the music off. As he heard Kylie shouting and sobbing he shook his head. Of course Haven was behind this somehow. The woman was relentless is meddling with people’s lives. Her and Brooklyn were the same. Well in this case he couldn’t complain about the meddling.
Cameron pounded down the small steps and made his way quickly to Kylie. He snorted to himself in amusement at the fact the door was locked. Perfect-she could no longer avoid talking to him. Cameron wouldn’t cause harm to her but he was going to get answers. Damn it he hadn’t been working on this shed for two and a half months for nothing after all. Cameron had done it all for her. His beautiful, kind, driven, temperamental, stubborn and emotional Kylie Stowe.
Cameron placed his arms on either side of her, pinning her to the door without having to touch her. He wasn’t going to let her run away. Cameron had made the mistake of letting her get away once. And he hadn’t been able to see her and explain things before she left because her parents had stopped them. Not now. Now all there was only the two of this to face all their problems. Problems that were caused by a mixture of him and her parents. ”No! I won’t let you be until we talk.” His own hurt was evident in his face. Stubble that was a bit took long covered his face while his hair was unkempt. His eyes were void of emotions except some tears that glistened over them. Cameron’s chest rose and fall with his heavy breaths. He looked at her face as she looked downwards and dipped his head to get close to her own and try and catch her gaze. ”I’m tired of you avoiding me. You may have been able to ignore my calls in Chicago but you can’t ignore me standing in front of you. Now tell me about the baby, Kylie.” Straight to the point. Cameron wasn’t going to dance around any of their problems as it wouldn’t get them anywhere. If they were going ot fix things-even to be friends-they had to get right down to the nitty gritty of everything, no matter how hard it would be on each of them.

As Cameron came close, putting his arms on either side of her, she pressed her self against the door as hard as she could, in an attempt to get as far away from the man as she could. Kylie wished she was able to just throw her arms around his neck and kiss him and erase everything bad that had happened between them. But that wasn't possible. And Cameron was confusing her right now. He broke up with her! Why was he standing over her "breathing down her neck" right now? What did he want from her?! Cameron please She said once more, her voice barely above a whisper, before he spoke.
His words shocked her. Talk?! Kylie's head shot upwards to look at Cameron for a brief second, but she couldn't keep her eyes on him and looked down at the floor again. Floods of tears streamed down her reddened cheeks. Talk?! She shouted. Talk about what Cameron?! What's there to talk about?! You left me....You don't fit in, in my world, remember?! So what's there to talk about. Kylie sobbed. Her hands moved through the air, fingers spread apart, in frustration as she shouted. Was he insane?! Did he not remember everything he said to her? Did he not understand what he'd done to her?
When Cameron dipped his head to look at her, she turned her face away. Kylie couldn't bring herself to look at his handsome face, or stare into his deep, blue eyes. Because all she would find there, was further heart break, knowing that those eyes weren't only for her anymore. That his lips weren't only for her to kiss and his hair, only for her to run her fingers through. It was too much. She'd been through enough.
Cameron's next words startled her. What little color was left in her face slowly drained. All the hairs on her body stood up and she felt as though she was going to pass out. The room felt like it was spinning around her. He'd called? What? How did she not know about this. Finally lifting her head to look at him, all the fear and hurt of the world in her sweet eyes, Kylie shook her head. Cameron...I-I... She stammered, shaking her head. I don't know what you're talking about! I never got any calls! She said truthfully. All I wanted was to hear your voice! I wouldn't have ignored you! I wanted you back!
When he demanded she tell him about the baby, Kylie felt ready to kill Haven. She had to have been the one to tell him, unless one of the doctors had slipped. Unable to stand any longer, Kylie sunk to the floor, her head falling into her hands, as her knees came up to press against her chest. She was sobbing so hard and so uncontrollably that her body shook. This was all too much for one person to handle. I-I wanted.... She tried to talk through the tears. to tell you....t-the night you broke...up with me. Kylie could hardly get the words past her throat. I was a-always going t-to tell you, Cameron. Which was the truth. She had told Brooklyn and Haven both that she would eventually tell Cameron. I wanted y-you...to l-love me for me...and not out of pity o-or just for the b-baby. It may have sounded selfish to say it that way. But it wasn't really. What Kylie was trying to say was that, if he didn't love her, than she didn't want him there just because they had a child, because that would make everyone involved miserable. Including the child.
Where was all this leading? He'd called her in Chicago, but for some reason, no one had told her. Or Cameron was lying. But that didn't seem like him. Then again, he'd broken up with her, which she'd never seen coming. Kylie had thought they were on the same page and planning to spend the rest of their lives together! And then he wanted to know about the baby. Kylie felt sick and confused and all she wanted to do was run away and be alone for a few minutes to catch her breathe before continuing this conversation. But Cameron obviously wasn't going to let that happen.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... It was very difficult for Haven to sit there and listen to her sister cry but she needed this. There was no other way Kylie and Cameron would move past things unless they laid it all out there. All the terrible emotions and telling the truth. Both of them better tell each other the truth about everything. If not Haven had no problems interjecting her two sense in the matter. Until then she fiddled with her phone to keep herself occupied. She did have a wedding to plan for and that proved helpful in trying not to rush to her sister. It helped her remain silent as kylie begged haven to let her out.
She finally heard Cameron’s voice pip up. The door to the barn still needed to be replace so it was somewhat older and the two voices traveled easily in the silence out there. Haven had finally told Brooklyn what was going on and Kylie’s friend was now blowing up Haven’s phone with texts. Oh well. Haven ignored it and kept listening to the words passed. When Kylie mentioned not getting any calls Haven shook her head. Of course she didn’t! Her parents probably screened her calls. Half the time Kylie’s parents answered first when she called. Only in the last three weeks or so did that change, probably because kylie had only just begun to heal. Somewhat. Haven herself had eating issues so it wasn’t hard to notice kylie had dropped some weight when haven had gone in to hug her. And her eyes looked a little more sunken in and just lifeless. So the dead look probably had to do with the break-up and losing the baby.
Haven shook her head as she cleared her throat before raising her voice. ”Kylie he called you every day for over two weeks, multiple times a day. I know because he’s been living here and I had to listen to him every night after you refused to answer!” haven and kylie were both a bit stubborn when it came to their men so haven knew she had to help out. After all, when louis first came back around she hadn’t believed him when he said he still loved her and wanted to be with her. The situation with cameron and kylie was ten times worse so she knew kylie would probably think the same way.
”oh, speaking of phone calls-cameron why don’t you tell kylie about the phone calls her parents were making to you and I. and don’t play dumb because I know that you saved two of them on your phone.” haven didn’t even look up from her phone either time she spoke. It really was out of some comedy moving. Haven was sitting there on the boulder, legs crossed as she looked at her phone and yelled at the two fools she had locked in the barn. Yes, pure romantic-comedy moment.

It hurt Cameron when Kylie tried to pull herself away from him. The hurt was a lot more then it should be but he couldn’t help it. No, he didn’t expect her to come running back to him but he also didn’t think she’d act like this-like he was the plague. The hurt he felt from the initial break-up was coming out all over again. He sighed as he dipped his head before shaking it. ”No. no I won’t leave you alone Kylie.” Normally Cameron wouldn’t force any issue on her but they needed to sort everything out. They hadn’t been able to before she had left and she wouldn’t take his phone calls while she was in Chicago. Now there was no running away from him or their problems. Even if they stayed friend, Cameron figured it was better then nothing.
In all fairness he had said that but the words were more her parents then his own. His lips pressed together in a thin line of thought as he tried to figure out what to say. His voice was low. ”Well apparently you don’t seem to know me if you didn’t realize that was bullshit.” That was more to hurt her back because she kept such a large secret from him then anything. He knew she had to be hurting about the baby but it killed him that she hadn’t told him sooner. Maybe that would’ve gotten her parents off his back. Would her parents really want the father of Kylie’s child to not have any aprt of it? Even if they hated him he highly doubted that.
Cameron was about to talk about the phone calls when Haven interjected. Cameron grunted in frustration as he tried to steady his breathing. Mostly because Haven threw in that Cameron should tell Kylie about the phone calls. ”Screw off, Haven! I don’t think you get a say after everything.” Cameron couldn’t believe the woman was outside listening. While Kylie was just breaking his heart all over again, Haven was pissing him off. Yeah, he was not sure how long he could stay in the house with both Stowe women. ”Well if you don’t know what I’m talking about maybe you should ask your parents. I called you nearly a dozen times a day for almost three weeks after you left. While you’re at it, maybe you should ask them about how they were refusing to let either Haven or I see you in the hospital until Brooklyn at least told them to allow Haven.” Cameron didn’t care if he was shattering Kylie’s little bubble of her perfect world with loving parents. Those loving parents had a hand in everything that led to this moment. They had pushed the breakup and forced Kylie back to Chicago. Kylie needed to be aware of what they were doing so this wouldn’t happen again.
Cameron did all he could to keep his own emotions in check as he watched Kylie fall to the ground. He stayed standing a moment to gather himself before he moved to sit beside her. He listened to her words that were broken up by sobs and his heart squeezed in his chest as he got a tight feeling across it. ”I just don’t get why you didn’t tell me sooner,” he let out quietly. Without much thought he reached over and pulled Kylie’s frail figure into his lap. Of course the moment he saw her he could tell she was not her usually self. She had always been on the thin side but she looked positively frail now. Despite her struggling he pulled her to his chest and wrapped his arms around her tight. He kept his own tears back as Kylie was spilling more then enough for the both of them.
”Kylie I never stopped loving you. I only broke up with you because I-” He paused as let out a drawn out sigh and closed his eyes. ”I was told I had to.” Kylie may hated him from this moment on but he didn’t care. She’d know the truth and he would get to hold his girl at least one more time. He could to smell her strawberry scented hair mixed with her floral perfume. Cameron drank in the moment, not sure if she’d actually believe him and want to try again or run from him. If she walked away for good this time, he’d let her but he wanted to make sure he remembered every detail of her. Cameron wanted it burned to his mind for the rest of time if he couldn’t have her as his own.

Kylie shook her head. Cameron's words stung like he couldn't imagine. What was I supposed to believe Cameron?! I-I tried to talk you out of it.....But you insisted...And now you're angry at me for going off of your own words? She asked angrily, her hot tears almost burning her face. Was I not supposed to take it all seriously, cause you sure fooled me! Kylie wanted to slap him or punch him, or knee him in the groin. Something. But she resisted, because none of those things would help this situation.
Kylie heard Haven's words and it frustrated her that she was sitting out there listening, but not letting her out. You've been living with her?! Her eyebrows furrowed and she turned towards the door. He's been living with you?! Why didn't you tell me that Haven?! Of course maybe she had tried on one of those occasions when Kylie had asked her to stop bringing up Cameron. What were all these phone calls that Cameron and Haven were talking about?! My parents? This was all so confusing, if almost felt like she'd never recovered from the concussion. Was this real, or was she dreaming? She honestly wasn't sure at this point. No.... She shook her head in disbelief, her eyes glassy from the tears. She bit her lip for a moment. No...they wouldn't do that. They love you and Haven...they told me they thought you were both great!
Although Kylie wasn't admitting it, at least not yet, it was all sort of making sense. No hospital visits, no phone calls. But why? Maybe they thought it was best you didn't visit...since you'd just finished dumping me! Kylie spat. But why didn't they want Haven to visit. That part didn't make sense. It couldn't be true...could it? But this wasn't like her parents! Of course she'd never dated someone out of her "social class" before. But they'd always said that didn't matter!
Cameron was still asking why she didn't tell him sooner? Did he want the list?! Cameron....I-I lost you and the...the b-baby....our baby....in one night! I-I was hurt...confused...sick....And then I never heard from you...No calls, or visits....that I knew of....My parents f-forced me to go back to Chicago with t-them.... Kylie's head remained in her hands as she tried to talk...tried to explain her own hurt and grief and confusion over the past few months. It hurt so much t-to even think about....It hurts so much...... She said through gritted teeth. C-Cameron I could feel that baby inside of me....I loved that b-baby sooo much.....And then I got in the accident and when I-I woke up...the baby was just....gone.....Like I'd never been pregnant.....Can you understand h-how hard that is to talk about? How hard it would be to tell the person who l-left you?! Perhaps it wasn't a good justification, but considering all the circumstances surrounding this, from the break up, till now, it was the only justification Kylie had. I-I'm sorry....I should have told you sooner...I always planned to....I-I wanted it to come from me.
Kylie felt Cameron start to pull her into his lap. No.....no She tried to push against him, but he was insistent and she was too weak and tired to fight him. It felt wonderful to be held by him again. But it hurt at the same time, because he had separated them and she still didn't understand why. And until she did, she couldn't trust him. Even if he did come up with a "good" explanation, she wasn't sure she'd be able to trust him. Kylie wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him as tightly as she was able to, still unable to stop the tears.
When Cameron said he'd broken up with her because he was told to, Kylie still just couldn't believe it. Pulling away, whilst shaking her head, Kylie looked him clear in the face for the first time since they'd broken up. Cameron....prove it...Show me the messages. As Cameron granted her request, she listened intently, silent sobs wracking her body. It had been her parents. They'd kept him from her, they'd made her believe that he never loved her, when all the while, they thought he was holding her back? How? Why?! Cameron was the best thing that had ever happened to her. Kylie threw her arms around him once more, just needing to be held by him, to be loved by him. Why did you listen to them? I told you those things weren't true Cameron! I told you! She pounded her fist against his shoulder, angry at him, but not at the same time, if that made sense. How can I trust you....I-If someone can come along and tell you things....and y-you take their word or mine?!

Cameron knew he couldn’t be angry at her but his own emotions were just completely mixed up themselves. He wanted to be made because of her hiding the pregnancy but at the same time seeing her cry broke his resolve. ”No I guess not,” he sighed out softly. He had been trying to be as convincing as possible. He seemed to have won in that category. How awful of him to have done that. ”I can’t say anything but I’m sorry, even if you don’t believe me.” The truth shined through his eyes along with all the pain and sadness he had endured without her by his side. Cameron knew that wouldn’t be enough to salvage them.
He winced at her outburst. Cameron thought Haven had told her but apparently not. ”She sort of forced me after you left. Packed up my shit and moved me to her place. With you gone she had no one and her nightmares were really bad...” which was true. She, like every other woman in his life, just barged into his apartment and Haven said he had no choice in the matter. But it was probably a good thing because they both helped one another out as they healed from their broken hearts. What probably didn’t help was him snorting in remark to her parents. ”Kylie you need to step out of your bubble and realize they were lying. They left messages for me saying I’m holding you back and ruining your life by not letting you go to Chicago. They did the same damn thing to Haven and when they came after they accident they said it was or fault because we never let you return to Chicago when none of us were stopping you. They‘ll tell you anything you want them to hear to make them seem like the good guys and us the bad.” he spat the words out bitterly. Kylie really needed to wake up and see the truth in everything. Living in naivety was not always best.
Her words stung but he tried not to let it show. ”It has nothing to do with the break-up and you know it! Stop seeing life through Rose colored glasses!” Cameron’s hands wnet up to girp his hair in frustraiton as he stood over her those moments before he joined her on the ground. ”I snuck into your room to see you once. Brooklyn nearly throttled me but that’s all I could get to see you. And like I said, I did call. Believe me or not, that’s your prerogative.”
Cameron’s eyes went downcast as he listened to her recount everything. He wished he could’ve been there for her. Now he could be, though, if she’d let him. ”I understand what you’re saying but…do you really think waiting was the best thing? It killed me to her you were pregnant. And as wrong as it sounds maybe it would’ve changed things in your parents would’ve butted out.” That had been his only reason for leaving her-the only one. It was a dumb reason to break up with someone but he didn’t think he had a choice. He literally thought it was his only one. He tried to let out a soft chuckle to break some tension. ”In all fairness I took advantage of haven after she took her sleeping medication. I kept pestering her for information until she was so groggy she told me.” A seriously jerkish move but he didn’t care. He wanted answers and knew Haven had them. He was being…resourceful is all.
Once she stopped struggling, Cameron ran his hand to smooth out her hair in a soothing manner. Everything about her seemed dull and lifeless. Not just her form but her hair, eyes and even her voice. The favorite parts of his Kylie’s spirit were missing and it was his fault. He was reluctant to let her pull away but at he question he knew he had to. ”Kylie….are you sure?” When she nodded her head he sighed and pulled his phone out. He put it on speaker phone then pulled up his saved messages. The first one was talking about how him and Kylie were all wrong for each other because he was “Wrong” for her and if he loved her then he, as well as haven, would let her come home. The other was from them when they were leaving Maine for Chicago telling him to never contact Kylie and they knew he had been asking around the hospital about her. He watched her face and did feel bad that he had to have her listen to the messages but it was about time she knew everything.
”Kylie I know you told me but these weren’t the first messages. They left me a half dozen prior. I just ignored them until what you said about putting off meetings if I couldn’t travel with you.” A horrible excuse but hey, at least his was better then Louis. Louis had a truly awful excuse but Cameron’s was bad enough that he allowed Kylie to punch at him though it didn’t do much. She was so weak and he could tell. ”I’m not saying you have to trust me though I wish you would but honestly what kind of relationship can we have if your parents hate me that much they’ll do anything to keep us apart. I mean what? You’ll tell them you’ll never speak to them again? Look at what it’s doing to Brooklyn. And you seem to forget I have no parents in my life. One is dead and one would rather drink then be around family. I wasn’t about to let you ruin the relationship you have with yours because of me and have you resent me!” Just like his father resented him since his mother committed suicide.

At least Cameron apologized, finally. That was good to hear. But Kylie wasn't necessarily in a forgiving mood at the moment. And who could blame her anyways? The poor woman had been through so much. One only had to look at her and her dull frail frame to tell that. Her mother had wanted her to take her to a shrink, but Kylie refused. Her parents didn't even know about the baby. Kylie wasn't sure she'd ever tell them. Especially in light of what she was finding out about them.
It did sound like Haven to make Cameron move in with her. But that made Kylie feel a bit betrayed by that. After what he'd done to her and everything that had happened, Haven felt it was appropriate to have him come and live with her?! Kylie was furious at her sister right now. She'd have a few choice words for her. If Kylie could have gotten out of that barn, she'd have done it right then. But at the same time she was glad that Cameron had been there to help with her nightmares.
Kylie shook her head at his words, refusing to believe that the parents, the people had adopted her and raised her as their own child, who had loved her, would do that to her. Cameron...Stop lying to me! Kylie gripped clumps of her hair. She couldn't take it! Why was he doing this to her?! Do you think lying to me is going to bring me back to you?! She honestly wasn't sure if she believed Cameron was actually lying. But it was easier to believe that the man who had left her was lying then to believe that the people who had adopted her and raised her as their own, were lying.
I know your dad has been an ass your whole life, but my parents haven't Cameron! They've raised me and loved me! She sobbed. It's not rose colored glasses...It's believing in the people who really do love me and didn't leave me! If Cameron had come to her about these things before dumping her, maybe Kylie would have believed him. Now the only people she felt she could believe were those who had taken care of her during this time. However, there was still Haven's side of things to consider. But everything was so confusing and emotionally taxing right now, it was just making her angry.
Cameron kept saying he had called. But Kylie had checked her phone a million times and never found any missed calls or texts or anything from him. It wasn't like her parents to go through her phone or emails or anything and delete things. They'd never asked in the past. They had never even asked her for any of her passwords. They trusted her and she trusted them
I dunno Cameron....maybe it wasn't the best thing to wait....But you hurt me...you made me believe you didn't love me! Kylie breathed in deeply, trying to swallow back the sobs that kept coming. Her eyes were red and raw from the crying, but she couldn't control it. Would you have told me if the roles were r-reversed?! She asked. Cut me some slack here....Haven't I been through enough?! If Cameron said another word about their baby, Kylie was liable to punch him square in the nose, doing her best to break it. She knew it was wrong, but Kylie wished she could hurt him as much as he'd hurt her. Kylie scoffed at Cameron's explanation. I'm sure she appreciated that. Yeah Kylie was just being a jerk now. But as they say "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
Tired and weak, Kylie let Cameron hold her and stroke her head, as she sobbed against him. Being deprived of him and his love these past months hurt so deeply, more than she ever imagined it could. Kylie loved the man so much, even now, despite how angry she was with him. Here he was and he wanted her back. Kylie had dreamed of that over and over and over. But now that she had the chance to say yes, she was scared to. Kylie was scared of him leaving her again, scared of falling more deeply in love with him and coming out more broken. Kylie needed the proof. If he had it, he'd better show it to her. Swallowing hard, Kylie nodded, both eager and afraid to hear the messages Cameron had repeatedly referred to. The messages were hard to hear, but Kylie was glad he'd hung on to them so that she could. But that didn't meant this was the end of things and that she was just going to throw herself at him now. No, there were other things that had to be worked out.
Cameron! I'm an adult. That's my decision to make. If I want to delay a meeting so that I can be the with the person I love, that's my business! Kylie pulled away from him and getting up, went to stand in the middle of the room. Hugging her own small body, Kylie turned so that her back was to Cameron. She was trying not to say anything else she'd regret, but it was hard. At his next words, Kylie's arms dropped and she turned to him, shaking his head. At least Tristan is standing by her! At least he wouldn't leave unless he knew Brooklyn wanted him to....not her parents, but her! Parents are a pain in the ass! They get in the way sometimes! They'll always think they know what's best for their kids, even when they don't. You just have to put them in their place now and again! She screamed at him. I always told you my career would never come before us and then you go and do exactly what I said wouldn't happen...You put my career before us...And look where it's gotten us Cameron! Kylie didn't want to make it all about her, because it wasn't, but she couldn't help her next comment. Look at what it's done to me! Why couldn't you just have been honest and told me? She sobbed.
At this point, Kylie had gotten herself so worked up, she felt like she was going to pass out. Her head hurt and the room was spinning once again. Holding her head and her stomach, Kylie fell to her knees, breathing deeply to try and regain her composure.

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, width: 420px; background-color: #A9B1B9; border: 10px #1B2836 solid]it‘s amazing, you save me | tag: kylie | outfit | Notes: FINALLY!
Cameron was starting to get seriously pissed off. No his temper was not as bad as Louis(from what he’d been told) but it did get up there. His fists balled up and he couldn’t help but punch his hand down into the wooden floorboards. Kylie was naïve. She was more then naïve-she was being downright foolish. Not everything was black and white. Your parents weren’t always the good guys. His parents were the perfect example of that. Well, more his dad really. His dad was a worthless drunk. Parents really did not always know better.
”God damn it Kylie! If Haven even just said so her friggin self don’t you think there’s a bit of truth to it? If you don’t believe me at least believe your damn flesh and blood.” It was clearly known now that Cameron was pissed off with how curse words were starting to come out. That was how he tended to deal with things then actual violence. Even when he punched the floor boards Cameron didn’t do it very hard at all. The action was more toe relieve the tension in his body then anything else. His nostrils flared out. ”Hey! You do not get to use my damn family in this. I may not like the man but you don’t get to use them to defend the sh*t your family has done!” That was a low blow on Kylie’s part. It was one thing if Cameron brought his father up as an example but not Kylie. She was not allowed to bring him up to defend her parents.
He shook his head. ”I never once said I didn’t love you. Not once. I just said it’d be best for you so stop distorting the truth.” Yes, he may have broken her heart but he had never, ever said he didn’t love her. Kylie was completely twisting the truth in her favor, seeming to forget some pretty clear facts. That was something Cameron did not like. He had been careful with everything he said when he had broken up with her. He grunted in frustration. ”If I didn’t love you do you really think I would’ve spent the past two damn months building this f*cking studio for you? Huh? You think I did this for fun?” No this was not the labors of a man who wanted nothing to do with her but a man who was madly in love with her. If she couldn’t see hat then kylie really wasn’t the woman he had thought she was.
Cameron scoffed. ”Stop saying about you being through enough. Yes I broke up with you but you ran the damn red light. I didn’t make you do that.” It may be a severely low blow but Cameron was hurt. She was placing all the blame on him, like the accident was his fault. Yes she may have been coming form his but he didn’t tell her to drive while in the emotional state she was. And he especially did not tell her to call Haven while she was driving. That was Kylie’s decision, not Cameron’s. he was not going to be the bad guy in this. Yes, he had been in the wrong with breaking up with her but he was not the cause of everything. He had been through just as much grief despite being the dumper. Haven had even locked up all the liquor despite Cameron telling her countless times he wouldn’t indulge because he refused to be a drunk like his father. Apparently the grief was etched on his face that deeply that people thought he would just drown his sorrows in a bottle.
Cameron knew what she was saying about making her own decisions but when someone got into your head as much as her parents had it was a bit hard to think clearly. All one heard were the negatives. Kylie had never had to deal with that. Her life had been pretty perfect. Cameron scoffed, yet again, as he shook his head, his gripping loosening and resting on her legs lightly. ”Tristan may be standing by her side but she is downright miserable. Everyone in this town can see it.” Cameron reached a hand up and ran it through his hair, gripping at the roots of his blonde locks and giving a tug at them. ”You don’t understand! You don’t understand what it’s like having people tell you you’re worthless and all you’re doing is holding their kid back. That you can’t give them what they want or need because you’re in debt up to your eyeballs! You grew up with the perfect life with money and perfect parents who praised you daily. I didn’t f*cking have that. I’ve only been told I’ll end up like my piece of sh*t father so you know what? You saying that I come first doesn’t exactly trump when the most important people in your life tell you you’re nothing.”
Cameron was tired of repeating himself. He lifted Kylie off his lap and set helped set her beside him before he scrambled up. Once on his feet he turned and look down at her. ”I’m done with this. Nothing I say will seem to change your mind. Nothing. I’m so f*cking sick of you placing all the blame on me. I’m sorry you got in a car wreck that caused you to lose the baby but that was not my fault. I have apologized for breaking up with you. I came to see you at the hospital and if you don’t believe me call Brooklyn. I called you probably close to a hundred times but you don’t believe me so I’m done Kylie. Enjoy your damn studio.” Cameron knew Haven wouldn’t unlock the door anytime soon. Instead he shook his head as he turned away and headed back up the stairs to the second floor. He grabbed his music player and shoved the headphones in his ears, cranking the music up all the way before he went in to what would be the walk in closet. He slammed the door shut before he moved to lay on the ground and stare up through one of the windows in the ceiling. He could wait it out until Haven released them. Cameron was a doctor-he could go hours upon hours without eating, drinking or relieving himself. He’d rather do this then repeat the same facts until he was blue in the face to a woman who only wanted to see her perfect world instead of how things really were.
Cameron may love her still but he wasn’t going to put the effort into something Kylie clearly didn’t want him to nor that she wanted to herself.

I don't know! Kylie responded. I don't know Cameron! It was hard to believe that someone you loved and respected your entire life and ruined your chance at true happiness. Haven had no reason to lie to her, but she still couldn't wrap her head about it. And Cameron could have been a bit more feeling in general. Kylie's life had done a total tailspin in the last few months. She wasn't stable at all. Cameron needed to understand that. Kylie had been pushed to the limit and was now teetering on the edge. She really felt like she couldn't take anything more.
Kylie did feel bad about what she said about Cameron's dad. But to be fair, she wasn't trying to be offensive. She was trying use it as an illustration. Not all parents were like Cameron's. That's all. T-That's not how I meant it. She tried to explain, but there was nothing more she could say. She really shouldn't have said anything about his dad. It had been a bad place to go and she regretted it.
I never said you actually came out and said it Cameron! I just said that you made me believe that you didn't love me....There's a difference. Kylie really had thought that. That she and her lifestyle were just a burden to him and that when it came right down to it, he hadn't really loved her after all. In Kylie's mind, if you loved someone, you stuck with them through thick and thin. It didn't matter what anyone else thought or said, as long as you both knew you loved each other.
Kylie's breath caught in her throat when he said the studio was for her. He'd done all this for her? Now things made more and less sense at the same time. It was beautiful, perfect, exactly what she'd always wanted and needed. How he'd done it, or afforded any of it, was beyond her. But before she could comment on it, Cameron was onto the next thing. I-I never blamed you for that! Kylie sobbed, when he talked about her running the red light not being his fault. Never once had she said or even implied that she blamed him for it. You're being so unfair. She said, choking on a sob. This was not Kylie's Cameron. She didn't know who this was . But her Cameron didn't act this way. Her Cameron would never have dumped her i the first place. If she didn't know better, Kylie would have thought he'd been replaced by an evil twin of sorts.
I am not Brooklyn, Cameron! And you need to stop thinking you can read peoples minds or make them up for them! Miserable?! You want to talk about miserable?! Kylie couldn't have been more miserable right now if she tried. Yeah maybe Brooklyn was going through it right now, but at least she'd been given the chance to fight for her man. And if Cameron thought she was miserable now, take Tristan out of the equation and see how miserable she could truly be. What Brooklyn was going through right now was nothing compared to what she'd have been going through if Tristan had decided to do what Cameron had. Taking matters into your own hands was rarely ever a good decision. Cameron should have known that at his age.
Kylie shook her head at his excuses about her family. He was wrong. She did understand and didn't envy his position. But why couldn't he have told her about their concerns. They could have worked all of this out and nothing bad would have happened to them or their baby. You should have t-told me. Kylie said, barely above whisper, as her voice was becoming somewhat hoarse.Cameron...didn't aways believe in you? Didn't I-I tell you, you wouldn't be like your dad? Didn't I make it clear that I loved you and n-need you and that nothing and no one could change that?! Kylie knew she had said that in so many words, so many, many times. What she was still hung up on, was how in the world he could believe other people over her? Did he doubt her sincerity? He'd treated her like her parents had, thinking he knew what was best for her, when he didn't have a clue. That was hard for Kylie to forgive.
At his last "monologue" Kylie felt all her hurt, and anger, and anguish boiling up inside of her, stronger than ever now. So this was it? She had told him she didn't blame him for the accident, she'd heard his evidence from her parents, yet he wasn't believing her again. Cameron was walking away again. How could it be "so easy" for him? I hate you! Kylie yelled, not meaning it at all, in fact, it hurt more than anything else, that she'd just said it to him. But anger and emotions caused everyone to say things they didn't mean or want to say at some point or another.
Falling to her knees, then to the floor, Kylie lay there sobbing. What was she supposed to do now? Cameron was gone, for good...again. She wanted to die. Truly. There just wasn't anything that was worth it anymore. Kylie had lost the only man she'd ever and could ever love. If she'd had a way, Kylie would have taken her life right there. A rope, pills, a knife, anything. She'd have done it. After a little while, Kylie sat up and took deep breathes until she'd gotten herself somewhat under control. Pulling her phone out, Kylie dialed her mom's number.
H-Hi...mom? Kylie said when the phone was answered. Kylie! Hi hun. You sound upset, what's wrong? Kylie swallowed a few times, trying to hold back the tears so that she could get out what it was she needed to say. Why? Why did you make Cameron b-break up with me? And I don't want excuses...I want the truth...Because you've done more damage than you could possibly know mom. Immediately her mother's tone changed. Kylie...Cameron's just not right for you...He's not..marriage material, not for you. He's in debt....he's living in an apartment in a shabby little town in Maine....You're successful and beautiful and you need to find someone on par with your standards.
[/i] Why is that your decision?! Kylie shouted at her. Because you're my daughter Kylie![/color] She sook her head. No...no I'm not....I never was and I am certainly not your daughter now.....I lost more than myself in that accident. I lost...I-I was pregnant, okay? And the baby was killed in the accident. And I know you're mad that I had sex with Cameron...But that's how serious it was...And you and your selfishness and your greed, have ruined it all for me! And so help me....I hope it plagues you're heart out! Kylie hung up the phone and threw it across the room, burying her head in her hands again. After a few minutes she went to the door. Haven! Please....I know you're out there....I-I need to talk to you The emotion in Kylie's voice was still thick and tears still rolled down her cheeks. Haven....I don't know what to do....I've messed everything up....What do I do? she asked weakly. [/size] [/center] STATUS! complete TAGS! Cameron/Haven NOTES! Awwww poor things! INSPIRATION! [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Haven sighed as she listened to the yelling. The only amusing thing about this was the fact the two of them were no where near as bad as her and Louis were. Things had a tendency to break when her and Louis fight. Kylie and Cameron just seemed to use their words. A lot. and their words were pretty brutal. Both of them were saying things even Haven knew they didn’t mean but they had to say it. Everything had to be out there. She herself had learned it after four years apart from Louis. If they didn’t get all their issues resolved now then they never would be. At least Brooklyn had also calmed down about Haven tricking kylie and Cameron. Louis was also texting to see how operation cupid was going. Oh she was sure to get a ton of grief from kylie’s parents for this.
Haven closed her eyes and sighed heavily when she heard cameron’s final blow out. This…was unexpected. After seeing everything he had done the last couple months she figured he would’ve fought a little harder. She knew he had his phone on him so shot him a quick text. For someone who told louis to fight for me you sure are doing a poor job at it.
|
[/I][/color] the text she got back was more a random string of curse words then anything coherent so she sent a simply message of ‘fine’ next before she tucked her phone away and moved close to the barn doors. She heard kylie talking to to her parents. Well, at least the people finally admitted what they had done. Unfortunately as soon as kylie hung up the phone, kylie’s mother was calling her. ”why would you let her near him? This is exactly why we want her home! You two are no good for her! Do you hear how she is? This is your fault!” haven sighed as she held her hand forward to look at her nails in a moment of pause. ”no this is not my fault, this is your fault. She’s an adult, not eight. Either you learn to accept what she wants or you’ll lose her forever. Be an adult yourself and stop blaming others for your foolish mistake. Now, if you call me to harass me again I will block your number and then have a cease and decease sent out to you. Then if you contact me again you’ll be arrested. Have a nice day.” with tha haven clicked her phone off. About that time kylie spoke up and she moved to lean against the abrn door but wouldn’t open it up. No, her and cameron weren’t done their fight. ”I’m right here kylie.” her voice was low as she glanced upwards. She wasn’t sure if cameron had put his headphones back in like normal or if he was listening to she’d keep her voice low. She hated to hear her sister cry but this was good for her. Haven had tried to keep her own emotions in check and it had landed her with more heartache then she cared to admit. Sure, things were fine now and she was going to be getting married to louis but from the moment he returned to hope harbor until he covered her home in flowers she had been in denial. These two needed to stop being in denial. ”kylie you’re my sister and I love you first and foremost but you’re n ot going to like what I have to say.” haven drew in a breath as she moved so her back leaned against the barn doors instead of her side. ”kylie you do realize him and I are almost the same? We were abandoned by the people who are supposed to care about us and had to work our asses off to get where we are. When your parents were treating us both like that, we felt like the worst people in the world because that’s the only way we’ve been made to feel. And keeping the baby a secret probably made it ten times worse because to him it felt like you didn’t care enough to share something so monumental for your lives with him. That was his child too, kylie.”Haven paused a moment. ”I know he broke up with you and it killed you but he truly felt like he was doing it for you. he was willing to suffer to make you happy in the long run. Sure, it was stupid but you guys weren’t together even six months. He probably saw it better to just have a clean break then deal with you and your parents fighting the rest of your lives. It’s why I didn’t say anything, either. You have parents-he and I essentially don’t. he may have his grandparents but those aren’t parents. He didn’t have anyone to call mom and dad. Cameron and I would kill to have someone like that. He wasn’t going to ruin your relationship with your parents because he knows how much it blows to not have them around. I mean what if he had told you and he eventually proposed? You know you’d want your mother there to help you plan your wedding and your father to walk you down the aisle. And you also know if you didn’t have them there for your wedding and around when you have kids it would kill you. You have been close to your parents for years. I see that, he sees that. As d*ckish as it is, cameron was thinking of you.”Haven knew she sounded like the worst sister in the world because she was essentially defending cameron but kylie needed the truth. ”I’m not saying it was right what he did but cut the guy some slack. He did come to the hospital just after the accident. He stayed with me the entire time and even took me yelling at him and Brooklyn slapping him. He only left when your parents demanded it. Cameorn told me about sneaking in but I wasn’t there, you’d have to ask Brooklyn but Brooklyn did say cameron said something. He may have shown you he loves you in a messed up way but at least he did. When louis left, he didn’t come back for four years. Cameron went to you within hours, no questions asked and took all the abuse we all dished out to him plus did this barn. Just try to calm down some and then go talk to him again. He just spent the past two months doing this barn for you, using his own money. Of course I let him live rent free so it helps but whatever he didn’t spend on stuff he needs went into this barn. If you can’t tell he’s sincere between the barn and everything he told you then you’ll never move past this. Don’t wait four years. If you think everything hurts now, it will only get worse.”[/div] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]

Kylie listened to Haven's speech, long as it was, without any noise, but an occasional sniffle. There were a few things Haven said that made her want to retort, but she'd done enough of that for today. She'd put her foot in her mouth enough for one day. Kylie didn't want to fight with anyone anymore. She just wanted Cameron back, her Cameron! Kylie wanted him to know how sorry she was for what her parents had done and what she had done. Haven's speech made Kylie realize that she loved Cameron, more than ever.
Haven was right. Cameron had done it because he loved her. Haven putting it in the terms that she had, made everything so much clearer to Kylie and so much more sorry for the blow out she and Cameron had just had. He was still the best thing that had ever happened to her and if he'd give her another chance, she'd make him know that to a point, that he'd never listen to her parents or anyone else again.
As far as Kylie's parents went, if they wanted to be part of the life she wanted to build with Cameron, they were welcome, but only on the terms that they accepted him, 100%. If not then, Kylie didn't want to see them again, ever. She appreciated the fact that Cameron hadn't wanted to ruin her relationship with him, but they had done it themselves now. And Kylie could make a clean break with them if she had to. It wouldn't be easy, but she could do it. What if he won't talk to me? Kylie asked, with no small amount of fear in her voice.
After a few minutes, Kylie took a few deep breaths and ascended the stairs. When she reached the top, Kylie turned to the door of the room where Cameron was. Lifting her fist slowly, Kylie knocked three times, before she turned the handle and went in. Cameron was lying in the middle of the floor with his earbuds in. He didn't seem to notice her enter. She cleared her throat, but he still didn't seem to notice. Kylie assumed his music must have been to loud. So she leaned down and grabbed the cord to his earbuds and gave it a gentle tug, pulling his earbuds out of his ears. Cameron seemed to simultaneously sit up, giving her an angry look. He started to say something, but before he could get it out, Kylie threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck. I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry for everything! For what may parents did and that I didn't tell you about the baby! And I don't hate, you I love you. I love you more than ever Cameron! Just please don't leave me again! At this point, Kylie was sobbing again. She hoped Cameron wouldn't reject her. She didn't think she could take his rejecting her again. Kylie needed this man, this Cameron, her Cameron.

Haven rolled her eyes though Kylie couldn’t see that. Probably for the best. ”He’ll talk to you, you just have ot make him listen.” Haven knew Cameron would listen he was being stubborn because he was a man and that’s what they seemed to do. She stayed against the door, listening as her sister walked up the stairs. About that time her phone went off with Kylie’s parents calling again but Haven ignored it. She was in no mood to deal with them.
Cameron was hurt. Beyond the hurt he had felt before. He had wanted Kylie to hat ehim to move on but hearing her yell at him like she did stung deep. He had been trying without success to get her to see his point of view on things but nothing seemed to work. Eventually she came around about her parents but she was being too stubborn in everything else. He refused to be the punching bag in this relationship. He wasn’t going to take the blame for everything when it wasn’t all his fault. Cameron could take a lot of things but he was tired of being blamed for things completely out of his control.
So he laid here, on the nearly finished walk-in closet, staring up at the sky. It had turned a grey color as the light began to turn to darkness. Tears stung at his eyes but he didn’t let them spill over. He was too strong willed for that. He’d let his emotions out later. As soon as he could leave this barn he was packing up his stuff and going to Oliver’s until Kylie left. He could not be under the same room as her after this evening. With Shinedown blaring through his headphones he reached up to rub at his eyes as he felt fresh tears threatening to fall. eventually Cameron just shut his eyes and debated on passing out here on the floor. He had slept on the group with just a sleeping back while camping. This had a very plush rug-a definite upgrade.
The music drowned out the silence in the barn and Cameron enjoyed that. So when he felt someone yank them out of course he got cross. He was already in a fowl mood and someone was making it work. His features hardened at seeing Kylie. He really didn’t want her to blow up at him again. He reached for his music player and headphones, shutting them off. ”I-” Cameron had began to say but he was taken aback as Kylie threw herself at him. Literally, threw herself. For a moment he just sat there, arms at his sides as she wrapped her arms around him. He really wasn’t sure how else to act. Only after she began to speak did he move.
Cameron wrapped his arms around Kylie and hugged her close to him while he swallowed back a lump that had formed in his throat. He shifted so she could rest more comfortably on him as he pressed a kiss against her head. One of his hands rubbed at her back soothingly. ”It’s ok Kylie, it’s ok. I’m sorry too for breaking up with you instead of talking. I just panicked. I won’t do that again. And I’m sorry so you had to handle losing the baby on your own.” Cameron pulled kylie back enough so his hands could rest on either side of her head, tangling in her hair slightly, as his forehead pressed to hers. ”I promise I won’t leave you again. I’ve been miserable without you. I love you, Kylie. I love you, I love you, I love you.” Cameron couldn’t hold back anymore as he leaned to press their lips together in a sweet kiss. Oh how he had missing kissing Kylie-his sweet, beautiful Kylie. He’d never let her go again.

As Cameron wrapped his arms around her and began to speak, Kylie continued to hold him as tight and close as her fragile arms would allow her. She needed to be close to him. She was afraid to let him go. Kylie was keenly aware of his hands rubbing up and down her back and it felt like the best thing ever. Just being back in his arms, wanting to be there, and him wanting her there, was amazing. Why had things happened the way they had between them? No one could say for sure, but perhaps it was to bring them even closer together when they were reunited. If her parents thought her resolve to stay with Cameron was strong before, they didn't know what they were in for now!
Kylie shook her head at his apology. No...shhhh....it doesn't matter now. She said through her tears. It was behind them now and she never wanted to look back. Of course the sting of the lost child would always be there, but no doubt the pain would lessen over time. Kylie pressed her forehead against Cameron's as his fingers tangled in her hair. She didn't care. Kylie didn't care if Cameron pulled her hair out at this point. She just wanted him touching her.
Tears still rolling down her cheeks, Kylie nodded at Cameron's promise not to leave her again and then he said the words she'd been longing to hear from his lips. I love you he said, not once or twice, but three times. And then he pulled her into a kiss. Kylie pressed her body against him, her hands moved to allow her fingers to run through his hair, sometimes clutching clumps. It was obvious that Kylie was hungry for him, deprived of his love these past months, a love that she had grown to need. The times Kylie had spent with Cameron, had been the best of her life and now they were to be even better, because they had a strong resolve not to let anyone or anything come between them ever again.
When they broke the kiss, Kylie hugged Cameron again, resting her head on his shoulder. Don't let me go...just hold me. She said softly. Her hands moved to rub Cameron's neck affectionately. Kylie was so tired from fighting, and now so relieved that everything had worked out, like she'd never thought possible, that she felt as though she could fall asleep right her. But Kylie didn't want to. She wanted to hold him, kiss him, talk to him.
As she leaned against him, Kylie's eyes moved around the room. This place was beautiful...perfect. How had he managed to capture in reality, exactly what was in her mind? I can't believe you did all this for me Cameron....It's just....perfect. The emotion still in her voice. Kylie was so very touched, more than touched! Kylie couldn't describe in words what she was feeling right now.
Pulling back, Kylie pressed her forehead to Cameron's once more, closing her eyes. Both her hands moved to his, intwining her fingers between his own, much larger, rougher ones. How could you ever think I could want to be anywhere but here, in your arms? She whispered sweetly. The statement wasn't accusatory or inflammatory. It was more another confession of her love and how much she had committed herself to him.
