Back in the game (Sophie)

Today was the day, Sammy was going on a date with Sophie and you can say he was really nervous and scared and happy all at the same time. Getting out of his bed Sammy was in his pajama pants and a t-shirt he went to the kitchen to start on breakfast before getting Ana up and feeding her. Sammy went to the fridge and got out some eggs and bacon and then set them on the counter as he got out all the other stuff. Starting on breakfast Sammy began to think of where to go on his date and what to talk about it was best to think ahead of time. Getting the bacon made first Sammy set them on a plate and began on the eggs cooking them in the bacon grease he loved doing that with the eggs. Sammy began to hum to himself as she finished cooking breakfast then setting the table.

After everything was done Sammy went up stairs and got his little Ana who was already up and ready to go eat. Grabbing her out of the bed Sammy took her down stairs and set her in the highchair then went to go make a plate for him and Ana. Sammy sat down near Ana and set the plate down then he watched as she ate since he was a little to nervous to eat. After Ana was done Sammy grabbed her plat and his and put them in the sink and grabbed Ana out of the highchair and went to the sink to clean up her face and hands. Once Sammy was done cleaning Ana he went and put her down in the living room with her toys and she played as Sammy cleaned the dishes and kitchen before he brother showed up.

Sammy went into the living room and sat down o nth couch and turned the t.v. on to watch the news before starting his day he had lots to do before his date tonight he has to wash clothes clean up his room and the living room lets just say he had lots of cleaning to do. Sammy hasn't had time to clean or anything with work and Victoria being out of town was hard on him but he made it work and not to mention Leila helped him out alot and he loved her for that. Leila was the light in his life when things seemed dark, she has always been there for him not matter rain or shine and he done the same. Sammy watched the news as he got his dirty clothes hamper and Ana's and began to wash clothes for he needed something nice to wear tonight but most of his clothes seemed to be dirty good thing the date wasn't for a while.

Sammy was in the middle of cleaning his room when his brother came in the house, he knew it was Aidan since his brother had a loud mouth and shouted for him once he came inside. Coming out of his room with a trash bag Sammy set it down and walked downstairs to where his brother was and went to greet him "Hey Aidan thanks for babysitting" she said as he looked at Ana, she was doing her little babbling with her doll in hand. Sammy looked at the clocked and saw her had only a few house to finished cleaning and laundry before taking a shower and getting ready to pick up Sophie.

Everything in the house was done and Sammy had an outfit for him laying on his bed. Sammy was running a bit late "Great going to be late on your first date with her" Sammy thought as he ran and took his shower and shaving his face and all the good junk. Once done with shower Sammy went to his room and got dressed in a nice black polo shirt and jeans and paired with some vans. Running some gel through his hair Sammy grabbed his wallet put it in his back pocket then spayed some cologne on and grabbed her leather jacket pulling his arms in and setting it on his torso then heading out his room kissing Ana bye on getting into his truck on his way to get Sophie.

Pulling up to the house Sammy parked then got out smoothing out his clothes and walked up to the door giving it a knock and waited for Sophie or whoever to answer.

all I needed was the truth. But that’s how it’s got to be-it's coming down to nothing more than apathy. I'd rather run the other way than stay and see the smoke and who's still standing when it clears. Everyone knows I‘m in over my head. With eight seconds left in overtime he‘s on your mind.

Sophie felt like her head was going to explode. She didn’t feel like she was ready and her favorite blue dress was missing. Leila was sitting on Sophie’s bed laughing while she texted Daniel. That irritated Sophie a bit so she threw random bits of clothes at her. Eventually everything got figured out and her cousin helped her zip her dress up. Afterwards getting ready was mostly easy. She irritated her other cousins though by taking up the bathroom to make sure everything was perfect. Though her make-up was easy enough her hair could be a bother. She had some feather hair extensions which she had to be careful not to brush out. They were pretty secure but if you tugged too hard, then they could rip out. Now that she was working, Sophie could afford the nicer, more permanent ones.

She had always been a colorful one. Yes, she had tasteful outfits like what she wore but she loved dressing somewhere along the lines of boho style. It made her feel comfortable. No, she wasn’t some hippie but she was just drawn to it. And the feathers made her feel alive. Not many people would guess looking at her that she was a rather smart girl who knew how to make her own in this world. She even had several tattoos-a double infinity tattoo on her right wrist, angel wings between her shoulder blades and her newest one which was a dandellion tattoo up her side and rib cage. No one knew but Leila about that one yet. With summer being done, she had gotten it soon after and it had since healed. Eventually someone would see it but now wasn’t the time.

So all those tattoos and her feather extensions were a sharp contrast to her rather tame outfit. Yes, the dress was a powder blue color and she accented it with shades of rose pink but that wasn’t her wildest outfit at all. No, Sophie had tamed it down for this date. Thankfully her feathers were mostly a neutral shade so most blended in well with her hair. Once everything was all set, she bounded down the stairs and paced in the kitchen. Sophie couldn’t remember the last time she had been on a real date with a guy she actually liked. Truthfully, the last guy she was with was more of a fuck buddy then anything else. Samuel on the other hand was a good guy. Sure, he had a past but who didn’t? Her mother was on the run from the law and her father was in jail. Sophie was left in the dust to pick up the pieces. Samuel had a kid and a wife. Or ex-wife? That part was confusing but didn’t matter. Nothing said they had to get serious anyways.

When there was a knock at the door, her youngest cousin was there letting Samuel in. Sophie didn’t let him get too far in though before she was by the door. ”Hey. You look great, Sam.” Gosh, she felt so nervous! She tried to step in front of her cousin. Having no male figure in her life, all her cousins and uncle tried to step in. she pushed some hair behind her ear. ”Um so did you want to come in or just go?” Hopefully he didn’t want to come in but she knew her family knew Samuel fairly well. After all he had dated Leila previously.
