"Well they say the sky's the limit
And to me that's really true
But my friend you have seen nothing
Just wait 'til I get through . . .
Because I'm bad, I'm bad - come on
You know I'm bad, I'm bad - you know it
And the whole world has to answer right now
Just to tell you once again, who's bad . . ."

PERSONALITY
PROTECTIVE
Especially when it comes to the family, Nick is extremely protective, no matter whether it’s his oldest brother or one of the younger Scott kids, especially Leila, being the only girl among boys. At the same time this is just a general trait that seems to define him the most since he seems to just settle into that role with relative ease all around, but that does also mean he can be overbearing at times, especially towards Leila, and it’s obvious that there would be sparks flying there if she didn’t want him to be breathing down her neck so much all the time.
DISCIPLINED
He didn’t have much discipline to begin with, not in a household with as many kids as in the Scott one, but after being pretty much tossed into dumpsters throughout his high school years, Nick was determined to make something for himself which led him to leaving town in the first place in search of higher education. It was when he went off to become a forensic that he actually learned how to sit still without necessarily losing his mind halfway through the whole thing, and also how to make sure that people took you seriously. If you were always out and about, they kind of didn’t.
CONSERVATIVE
Having grown up in a small town, or relatively small town, there wasn’t much hope for Nick to be brought up in exactly the same open-type manner as he would have been in a large city, which gave him minor headaches when he went out to study outside of Hope Harbor. Despite the fact that he’s been out and about and has now returned home, the initial traces of that personality traits can still be seen, even if maybe not in the same extent as they might have been had he remained at home after high school.
RECKLESS
As much discipline as he has, he can’t help but go after the most notorious adrenaline rushes when he can, just edging on towards the very fine line between dangerous and insane, because he can, and because he still feels that same pull towards making things that explode if he lets loose. Or maybe just things that could potentially get him in trouble. He’s just a little bit reckless, driving way too fast when he can, making sure he lives for the moment on the spare occasions that he isn’t working, and well, yes, just enjoying himself - definitely off-limits.
TENSE
As far as anything else goes, tenseness is something that’s Nicky’s constant companion, and has been ever since he was little. Maybe it came from growing up in such a large household. This means he’s about as predictable as the Hulk, and when you’ve got someone with the license to smash your face if you piss him off, well, you don’t do that. His tension usually mounts when time draws near towards his birthday, though he can’t explain this, but it’s normally pretty managable, if you aren’t afraid to deal with him that is. What can we say, the life of anyone in the police forces isn’t a rose garden.
Nicholas was born as the second of the kids in the Scott household, and for a short while it was just him and his older brother Alex, but there were other kids that followed, not that it made him upset or anything - it was mostly a sign that he had others to get in trouble with! He was a relatively happy kid, though sometimes pretty tense for some reason or other, and prone to throwing temper tantrums when he was younger. He was pretty smitten the day that Leila was born though, and despite the fact they were never as super close as she and Alex were, he was always there to make sure she was happy with whatever she was doing and Nick was probably the first sidekick to go rough up any guy who’d dare do anything she didn’t like.
But because he was used to being a sidekick at home, this transferred to his school days and he was bullied from grammar school on, following into high school, though he never really said much about the topic and no one found out about it until one day a teacher decided to not just pull the kids apart but actually try to get to the bottom of this. This was at about the time when Nick was growing into a more rebellious teenage stage, which would eventually earn him a police record for possessing and consuming marihuana. Eventually though, mostly through the medical condition of his sister and the fact that she needed her family pulling together, he figured out he needed to snap himself out of it.
That was one of the main reasons why he left Hope Harbor, despite the fact that he was sad to leave his family behind there, but he needed out to see some more of the world and to pursue the career he wanted. He went to study forensics but he always knew he’d come back home someday, which was after graduation. He still needs to complete two other exams to actually be certified to work in the field on his own, but those can be done from Hope Harbor, which means that Nicky has come back home to the family he loves.

Henry was beyond relieved that Tristan and Katie seemed to be on their best behaviour, at least at the moment and for the foreseeable future, because the last thing he wanted or needed right now was having to baby either of them while he wanted nothing more than to be with his daughter and his girlfriend. Sure his best friend kept teasing him about him becoming a family man, something neither of them had ever actually anticipated or predicted, but hey, things changed, and Henry never stayed silent for too long in those conversations since he seemed to recall the fun fact that Katie was also pregnant all the time, though he did see that his sister figure was taking this pregnancy a whole lot worse than Addison had. Once again, Henry was more than grateful to having found Addison, because she was the one person he knew he could always lean back on and she’d be there without a doubt to offer him what strength and support she could, no matter what he needed it for. She was probably the only one besides his two best friends who knew just what went on in his mind half the time or even she might have been the only one come to think of it, there wasn’t much that he hid from her, not even considering his current job really. He’d gotten over the apprehension of her possibly turning him in a long time ago, and he was pretty sure that the stories they’d be able to tell Rose some day would be quite hilarious. Mom, how did you and dad meet? – Well honey I tried to arrest him in front of a bakery shop. That was enough to make him chuckle on the best of days and then of course there was the story of how she was conceived anyway, it was kind of just his luck that the first time he’d slept with Addison was also the time when he’d gotten her pregnant, but he didn’t regret anything or want to do anything different, actually he felt kind of smug, he knew Katie and Tristan had been together for three years before managing to get to the pregnancy stage whereas he and Addison hadn’t even been officially together when she’d told him that he was expecting his child, and he’d never forget that day, also for the reason because she seemed adamant in explaining to him she’d be just fine having the child on her own and he didn’t need to feel any obligation at all, something Henry hadn’t understood at the time but was glad that he had been smart enough not to listen to the woman. He’d never felt prouder or happier than at the moment when the nurse brought Rose back to the two of them in the hospital room after she’d been cleaned and clothed, and the baby girl squirmed in their hold for the first time. The last thing he wanted was to miss any part of her growing up, though he kind of had that bad feeling that he was going to be absent at least a little bit because there had to be some twists and turns in the road, it couldn’t all be this smooth, right?
He was rather content with how things were at the moment though, especially since he got a kick out of watching Addison and the dogs compete for Rose’s attention or who would be to the crib first if there was a cry from the baby, it was hilarious, especially since Benji seemed to’ve taken it on himself to make sure he won every single race and Henry would swear that if the dog could walk on two feet he’d pick the girl out of her crib and bring her to the bedroom. Trigger was also quite content it seemed, and while Henry had initially been apprehensive about him, he calmed down after seeing Rose practically stick her tiny hand into the dog’s mouth and the canine had simply yawned a little bit more and then licked the baby’s face all over for a couple of times to make her back off. That had calmed the man down though he made sure he was always somewhere close-by when the baby was exploring the world from her mother’s hands and the dogs were around, sure he trusted them, but he didn’t want to take any chances at all, she was his first kid and he was sort of paranoid of something bad happening to her at some point or other. He sighed in content though when Addison woke him and clambered back into bed with Rose in her arms, and he was very happy to settled with both his girls against the head of the bed. He returned her kiss with an instant smile, there was no one who could brighten his day better than his two ladies, although granted, sleeping this long had never been on his agenda. Ever. It’s just weird, he explained with another sigh, I mean, it feels weird. I don’t usually sleep this long. But he smiled reassuringly and dropped the subject, rubbing his hand lightly up and down Addison’s side as he held her close to him, while his other was close to Rose, allowing the girl to try and play with his fingers if she could. Henry had to smile when Addison explain what she’d been up to, leaning in to brush his lips across her forehead, You should’ve woken me up. But I guess I knew you were there anyway, I would’ve shifted if you did, so I take it I probably did enough so you could be comfortable. He stifled a huge yawn and eyed the baby who seemed quite content where she was currently. Henry had to laugh at the explanation, and he grinned hugely at Benji, who wagged his tail and settled down. I know that, I’ve seen him do it during the day too. You two’re hilarious, I’m surre Trigger is kind of just watching you and going ‘what have I gotten myself into?’ He continued chuckling softly. Sounds like a plan to me, if you wanted to be out all day I’d be happy with that too, so long as it could still be lazy, he pointed out and taking Rose with a bright smile, pulling his daughter close to him and feeling her nuzzle against his neck, smoothing a hand down her tiny body and keeping her warm and close while her mom got dressed. Once Addison took Rose back, Henry stood and stretched, and whistled to Benji, Come on you, give the girls a little break and help me pick my clothes. The dog bounded over and Henry playfully tugged on his ears a little and wrestled with both of the dogs while hunting down warm winter clothes through the closet. It took him slightly longer to extract a scarf since Benji had confiscated it, but he managed, in the end. Are we taking them too or will they wait until we get home? I think they need a longer walk today, they’re kind of bouncy, Henry asked Addison, poking his head into Rose’s room.
