"You didn't know all the ways I loved you, no
So you took a chance
And made other plans
But I bet you didn't think that they would come crashing down, no
You don't have to say, what you did,
I already know, I found out from him
Now there's just no chance, for you and me, there'll never be
And don't it make you sad about it"

history
Jordan was born into a life of privilege. He and his twin sister never had to want for anything. Their family had their regular home plus two others and took regular vacations. They had tutors and went to private schools. Still, that didn’t stop them from getting into trouble. Rich kid syndrome, right? That phase didn’t last long for Jordan. Eventually he got serious about wanting to teach. He wasn’t even sure what tipped him off to wanting to teach. One day he was sitting in history class and thought how much fun this would be to teach. So many people wanted to teach English or music or science because those were the fun subjects. History wasn’t fun to most people but to Jordan it was. When not with friends, the rest of his free time was spent divulging in books about different periods in history.
College was a blur for him but a fun one. Well, the first two years was a blur. Then he met Clara. She was fun, smart and pushed his boundaries. They were in love. Jordan had loved before but with her it was different. With her they talked about everything from their past to their futures together. To him, it felt right. That’s why when he left undergraduate school, he proposed. It was hard but they maneuvered around him going to graduate school to get married. In truth, perhaps he should have waited to marry her. Allowed time for them to just be happy while he tried to finish up his masters degree. But Jordan was in love and he just wanted to be with Clara.
Jordan tried to manage his time but it was hard. He had so much work to do plus try to spend time with Clara; he was worn thing. Eventually all aspects of his life began to suffer. Perhaps that’s why his wife cheated-and got pregnant by the other man. It wasn’t hard to figure out on Clara‘s end since her and Jordan used condoms while there were a few times she didn’t with her lover. That was hard because it didn’t take Jordan long to figure out either. He wasn’t an idiot-he had suspected for a long time that she might be cheating. She kept claiming it was his but at the earliest time it was safe to do an in utero DNA test, he did. And sure enough, he wasn’t the father. Jordan immediately packed up her things and kicked her out. He owned the house so it was his right. Some people thought he was cold to just kick a pregnant woman out but she tried to cuckhold him. He found out from some friends that perhaps his money had to do with it. That just made things worse.
Once he was done school, Jordan moved far away from Connecticut. After he put a deposit on an apartment, he put some money from his trust fund into a savings account and left. He made a promise to himself no woman would no about his family money unless they were serious about Jordan as a person. It was probably dishonest but he didn’t want to go through things with a new girl that he did with [I[Clara[/I]. He wanted to know a girl loved him for him, not his family money.
