Sydni loved running, it helped her clear her head. With all the time she was spending at the office lately, she could feel herself wearing thin. She just about came close to hating this time of year – but when Thanksgiving and Christmas was to finally come around – her attitude changed, a lot. Thanksgiving was still two weeks away though – so, her mood was pretty much the same. Grumpy, moody, and just running on her energy drinks. She was horrible with that – she consumed too many during the day depending on how her stress levels were. Her conversation with Alex a few weeks ago was starting to get to her head Maybe you should run for mayor then! It wouldn’t really be an outrageous thing for her to do – she could do it. She had the confidence in herself to do it – that’s deff one department Sydni never lacked in. She had the self-confidence to do anything she set her mind to. She ran through the town, down by the beach, up main street again and then finally she was running by the harbor. Her ipod was blaring “Till I Collapse” by Eminem, one of her infamous workout songs. She pushed herself as far as she could – making her legs go as fast as they would carry her. She was too focused on her thoughts and the music, jumping over stumps that were on the beach by the harbor. Finally, as she was closer to the more beach side of the harbor, she finally stopped herself. Since she’d this was her normal stop spot – her bag with her water and red bull was nearby. She was bent over, with only one earbud in her ear now, hands on her knees as she regulated her breathing. She finally walked over to her bag, grabbing her redbull out, and then sat down on the sand dune, looking out at the bay with the sun slowly still rising. She’d get up in a few minutes, to do her next run, but for now she’d enjoy the silence and the breathtaking scene. |
