WELL HELLO THERE! I'M Noma AND I'M CURRENTLY 19! I'VE BEEN ROLEPLAYING FOR 6 years AND YOU CAN CHECK OUT MY ROLEPLAY SAMPLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. AS YOU CAN SEE, I'M CURRENTLY USING Antony Starr AS THE FACE OF MY CHARACTER! LAST BUT NOT LEAST, MY OTHER CHARACTERS ARE Giovanna Lee Russo!
the basics
character name : Colton Jax Parker
nickname(s) : Colt or Parker
age : thirty four
date of birth : April 1, 1978
member group: local
sexual orientation : heterosexual
occupation : Police Officer
the appearance
appearance : Parker stands at five foot eleven. His brown hair is typically shaved short yet his face is typically left all scraggily. Ice blue eyes have a tendency in intimidating people very easily without even trying. Whenever he isn't in work attire he wears jeans, black sneakers and a solid dark colored shirt. Typically he just dresses plain, not trying to impress anyone. The only time this man can be found in fancy attire (ex: a tie or dress pants) is at a wedding or when he has to go on the stand at court for a case.
A few scars scatter his body. A bullet wound scar can be seen on his chest and out on the back of his right shoulder, its thats covered up by a massive american eagle thats colored in as the american flag across his shoulders with the words semper fi and a few of his friends that died beside him written in smaller ink. Kegan's name is also written on his inner arm with the years of his birth and death. On his left forearm there is a snake and "Don't Tread on Me" written for the Gadsden Flag. He would get more ink, maybe even sleeved out but the police department frowns upon it. In his future he plans on getting more.

history : Colton grew up in a military family. His mother was an air force cadet while his father was a Marine. For all of his younger years he moved from base to base. Sometimes his father would be on leave for a few months then return just in time for his mother to be sent on deployment. They weren't bad parents. The only thing he ever wanted as a kid was for them to be able to all spend time together, longer than two weeks out of the year but they managed to do all that they could. Colton always looked up to him. His father was a strong, brilliant man. His mother taught him how to be compassionate and sensitive towards others while his father taught him how to be a real man: open doors, treat a woman right, hunt, fire a gun, ride a motorcycle, repair cars, and to be a provider. These are valuable things to learn as a young man.
His school years blew by like a breeze before coming to an abrupt end. During his senior year his mother got killed in action over seas. It hit him rather hard but it can't be taken back. At eighteen enlisted in the Marines, wanting to follow in his fathers footprints. His father was proud of his son but fell into a deep depression that year after losing his wife he soon after took his own. Under the stress of the military and grief of his wife he just couldn't handle it any more. Colton was in utter shock, its not common for anyone to lose parents twice in a year in the way that his had. He buried the feelings of sorrow deep within him, locked away in a secret compartment deep within that may not ever be let out. Its one of the reasons why he doesn't ever open up to anyone.
After going through bootcamp and becoming settled on a base in North Carolina, he started seeing Trisha, his commanding offier's daughter. It didn't help that he was a wild one with his friends, drinking all the time and causing a scene all the time with their motorcycles and other vehicles that they loved to drag race. This resulted in Trishas father making Colton do harder and longer work but Colton didn't care. After losing his parents he finally found someone who he could equally love. A short time after she got knocked up. As any gentleman would do he proposed to her, promising to provide her with anything and everything that she ever needs. Before Colton got sent away on his first deployment they got married on the North Carolina beaches. Colton left on his first deployment to Afghanistan following their honeymoon. During the same deployment he missed the birth of his first child, first son, Kegan. Returning after an eight month deployment he finally was able to meet his son. Finally, a family of his own that he intended on increasing as soon as they had the chance.
From the time he enlisted at 18 til he was 28, Colton went on eight deployments to the middle east. During January of 2008 he finally returned home from his last deployment and was able to sign the papers to end his contract. Finally, some quality time with his lovely wife and six year old son. Least he thought it was..The Parker family moved out here to finally settle down. He planned on restoring the house that they bought, it was definitely a fixer upper, and to go to college. Colton put the house on hold and spent all of his time attending college, he was on the fast track to finish a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in just under three years until tragedy struck. Shortly after Kegan's eleventh birthday, while Colton was away for the day at a nearby college, two men broke into their garage trying to steal Coltons 69' mustang and harley. Sadly, Trish got in the way and they took her and Kegan hostage in the house for two hours. Colton casually strolled into the house to find both of them bound to chairs before he noticed the strange men. He was then taken hostage as well before Colton was beaten to a bloody pulp. The darker skinned man made sure that Colton was still awake to watch Kegan get shot in the head then his wife raped by the spanish male and shot as well right in front of him. Before the men left with the two vehicles, the black man shot Colton in the shoulder. Thankfully a neighbor called the police due to the sound of the gun shots. Colton was found just in time or else he would of bled out. The only things that he remembers is that both men have different gang tattoos, specific scars on their necks and arms, and that one was african american and the other was spanish named Jose. Of course he didn't tell the police, he's an angry Marine looking for vengance and he'll have his day for payback.
After healing up, he bought a house across town but still kept the previous one. Colton went back to college and was able to finish his bachelors degree in just three years. He applied to many of the surrounding towns before landing a job at the police station. He was put at the top of the hiring list due to his experience in the Marines for ten years. A few weeks into the force his boss was complaining about how one of the K9 dogs won't listen to any handler and was discussing about having to put it down. Colton objected and asked if he could try working with the dog. Both him and the black german shepherd clicked the instant they met. Colton was given the permission to keep the massive animal. For the past four years the animal has been by Coltons side, on and off duty. Every now and again he'll return to his home, with little help from others he's almost done restoring it. He promised Trisha that he would. Colton never breaks a promise.[/b]
the sample post
All was quiet as man and beast slept comfortably in the large king size bed. Despite the fact that the rest of the world was wake and busy doing things, after all it was noon, the room would have been pitched black if there wasn't the small annoying rays of light escaping from the sides of the curtains. Even with that small amount of light Colton found it hard to sleep. Over the past few years hes been finding it harder and harder to sleep through the day, this shouldn't be the case since during his tours he was used to sleeping at odd hours of the day and night. It never bothered him until his wife and son died. Death has a tendency in changing a person in many ways.
The alarm stung the silent room causing both him and his dog to practically jump out of their skins. Cursing to himself, he reached a hand on the side table and shut the alarm off. Rubbing his eyes he groaned, pissed that he couldn't sleep well. Not just because of the light but the nightmares from his military duty and from the deaths of his family still haunt his dreams on a daily basis. He probably even needs medical help and therapy but Colton isn't one to seek or take help from anyone. He refuses to appear weak in any way, shape, or form. Nudging Ruger, who laid at the end of the bed, with his foot he spoke to the dog, "Are you hungry yet?" The dog responded with a bark in response. "Get off of me then," Colton pointed a finger to the floor and Ruger removed himself from the bed and stood by the door, pawing it lightly before stuffing his nose at the base of the door.
Grumbling to himself he got off the bed and opened the door. Both of them went into the kitchen that was just down the hall. Grabbing the dog bowl on the floor he filled it with the dry kibble and popped a few vitamin pills in there before mixing some veggies and rice from the night before. Setting the bowl on the floor Ruger waited patiently a few feet away before Colton pointed at the bowl to allow him to eat. Ruger began mowing down the bowl as Colton began a pot of coffee. Stretching he felt all of the knots in his back tense up, his weak shoulder ached and he winced. The pain sent a chill down his body. Clenching his jaw together he knew he was going to have to take it easy on the days workout or else he'll be a hurtin unit for the next few days. The joy of recovering from an injury.
