Oliver heard the door of his office open and close, but it didn't register. He was too lost in his thoughts....in his grief. Terrified of what this would do to him, afraid of something happening to Summer...something that he couldn't fix. Oliver had yet to tell the woman about Lilian. She knew he'd been married once and he had told her he would explain one day. But he hadn't been able to bring himself to really talk to Summer about Lilian. He wasn't sure why. Maybe he felt guilty talking to a new love interest, about the wife he'd loved with all that he was, and lost.
Oliver really wasn't aware of another presence in the room, until he felt the gentle touch of a woman's hands upon his own, willing him to move them to look at her. Opening his eyes and lifting his head to show his tearstained face, Oliver's inset eyes landed on Lexi. He was relieved it as her. Someone he was comfortable talking to. Someone who understood his heart ache. Oliver's face contorted a bit and he sniffled, while Lexi smoothed his hair in a comforting manner. I uh... he bit his lip looking down for a moment, swallowing hard and trying to stay the tears. Oliver hated for anyone to see him crying. I'm just being a sodding idiot. He said, a hit of anger in his tone.
After a moment, he looked at Lexi, his eyes seemed almost to be pleading for help. Oliver looked almost a small, lost, child and her certainly felt like one. Which made him feel foolish and self conscious. I couldn't save him Lexi....There was a man...probably had a wife and a family....And I didn't save him. Oliver said the last part as if there had been something he could have done differently. But he and everyone in that room knew it wasn't true. Oliver had done everything he knew how. It as the man's time to go. No one could change it. I should have been able to save him. He said through gritted teeth, tears coming out of his eyes again.
Of course this wasn't all that was bothering him. Oliver debated on whether or not to mention Summer. He hadn't told anyone about seeing her, not even Tristan or Gran. After a moment, he decided he might as well spill it all. And who better to than Lexi anyways. Again, she understood where he was. And there's this...woman... he started slowly. Summer Banes is her name....Beautiful, sweet, young woman....We've been seeing each other for a little while now....And she's here tonight....she's hurt...Not horribly...a minor concussion and a dislocated shoulder I think.... Oliver sighed and rubbed his hands over his face. Lexi....I-I didn't realize just how much I cared for her...until I saw her laying there, hurt and unconscious. He bit his lip and shook his head. I'm scared....I'm so scared....Because I want to love her...but I feel like I'd be letting her replace Lilian...Yet I know if Lilian could, she'd tell me to go for it...but that sounds like a convenient excuse to "forget" my wife...And then if I do go for it...What if one day, I just can't go any further...I realize I'm in too deep and I miss Lil too much and I cant do it with Summer...and then I hurt her? At the moment, Oliver was quite distraught, not knowing which way to turn or what to say or do. I feel, such a coward at the moment...hiding here in my office when there are people...like Summer...who need me. But I'm afraid of losing more of them and that fear keeps me here....Lexi....I just don't know what to do...I just want to run and get as far from this place as I possibly can. Oliver held Lexi's hands in his own now, not as one might hold the hand's of the woman he loves. But as one who was begging for any help and comfort he might find in them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -dominic smiled at summer's question. "more often than she should, probably." to be honest, everleigh did get to bed on time, mostly, though there were probably two or three nights a week where she didn't. he was glad she'd had a nice time, despite having been out of the area for the past few years. "i'm sure it was.. i had a really nice time, too," dominic told her with a smile. he'd enjoyed dancing with everleigh, and so had she. speaking of which, the little girl had nearly dropped off to sleep already, he noticed.
he heard someone reply to his calls, and they became more urgent. the door was pried off, and dominic quickly told them about the other two people in the car. he lost consciousness again when they pulled him out, the pain excruciating. they put him on a stretcher, then into the ambulance, before pulling everleigh and summer from the vehicle. the next time he woke up, he was in a hospital bed. a loud beeping was in one ear, and he could hear people talking, though not as quietly as he would have preferred. dominic's head was still pounding, though more dully than before. he opened his eyes a little and groaned. he was aware almost immediately that he was in the hospital, as memories flooded back. as he became more alert, he realized there was something on his face, and reached up to touch it. what he didn't know was that one of his lunges had been punctured, and that, if it wasn't for the mask, he'd be having a hard time breathing right then. dominic needed to know about his sister and everleigh, so began removing it. one of the nurses noticed his movement, however, and stopped it from taking it off. "i need to know about my daughter and my sister," he told her in an urgent tone, though he was having a hard time speaking loudly and clearly. he didn't know if she actually heard what he said, because she merely patted his arm, and gave him more pain medicine to put him back to sleep.
the next time dominic opened his eyes, he was feeling a lot better. his head hardly hurt at all, and neither was anything else. he knew it had to be the pain meds, and hoped they'd last a while. his mouth was no longer covered, but there was something in his nose. dominic had never had to be on oxygen, but he knew what the thing in his nose was. he opened his eyes and looked down at his left side. his arm was in splint and his midsection was wrapped up tightly. it was clear they had a lot going on, since they had just secured his injuries temporarily, no doubt to deal with more serious ones. dominic glanced around, wondering where his family was. there was a button to push for a nurse by his right hand, and he pushed it. again, he asked about his family, and this time he got an answer. everleigh had only minor injuries and her mother was being called to pick her up as she was being discharged. summer's were a little more serious, though nothing life threatening. dominic could only breath a sigh of relief when he heard that. they would all be ok.

Maverick was distraught. He had no idea what to do, who to call. He sat in the waiting room, head in hands as he wallowed in misery. Sure he wasn't the only one and he knew he was one of the luckier ones but he couldn't bring himself to feel sorry for them. His sister... well half sister, was currently unconscious in the other room. No one knew they were related and so the doctor was unable to give him any information and vice versa. The nurses had tried to contact her mother but the drunk wasn't answering her phone. She was probably passed out somewhere.
He wanted to cry but no tears came to his eyes, wondering how this could happen. She was eighteen! She had so much to live for and right now... Maverick didn't know how bad it was. The doctor promised he could visit when she was stable and he had, leaving flowers beside her bed and sitting beside her for awhile, until he couldn't bear it a second more and had to leave. So there he sat, listening to people crying and moaning in pain around him.
Maverick wanted to feel something for these people but all he could think of was his sister who had no one to cry for her, no one to visit her. She was alone and he was almost glad she was unresponsive, so she couldn't see how utterly abandoned she was.
He pulled at his hair slightly, irritated with life. Finally he sighed, knowing that getting angry wasn't helping anything. He rubbed his face before letting his hands drop to his lap, glancing around the waiting room for the first time. He really wished there was something he could do, someone he could contact but Kitty didn't even know he existed, why would she accept help from a total stranger. Then again... he had to reveal himself eventually, right?
He remembered how well the wedding had gone. That seemed like so long ago now. Ages even though it had probably just been a couple hours. He glanced at the clock, confirming his suspicions. He had noticed Kitty had been acting odd out of the corner of his eye all night. With the party over and having wished the bride and groom good luck and promised to get their pictures together and brought to them asap, he had followed his half sister. She was driving in the wrong direction, away from her home. Feeling brotherly, he had followed and witnessed the entire accident unfold in front of his eyes. He had been the one to call 911 and with the help of the other passing driver, managed to get her from the vehicle and onto dry land. After talking to the cops and giving his statement, he had rushed right over to the emergency room where Kitty had already been placed in a private room.
It had been such a long night and Maverick was far from tired. He felt alert and almost jumpy. Who could do such a thing? She was still a child! She had so many dreams and had had such a terrible life... didn't she deserve better?

It was good that the two girls finally got back on the track to their amazing friendship. What had happened at the party was fun and she liked it. There was something about Natalie that she couldn’t help but like. It was like she understood who she was and what she was like. In a way at least. It helped they were both disfigured. Natalie had her burn an Izzy had hers. Stupid tattoo remover! When Natalie spoke up and said a movie would be good she smiled. “What would my date like to go see?” A giggle left her lips and then nodded her head. “Sure thing!” Reaching over to the temperature control she turned it up so it would reach seventy-nine degrees in the car. “Turn it up more if you need to.” There would be no issue if the girl needed too.
Hearing the other girl giggle she smiled and nodded her head. “Can you blame me?” Sticking out her tongue she turned back to look at the street. “Sometimes it’s hard to understand when I speak in my accent. Not only that but the bad stereotypes that French women get.” If there was anything she was not in that stereotype. She would prove you wrong about it every single time…..probably.
When everything went wrong she couldn’t help but watch he life flash before her eyes. There would be a wedding she’d never have, a child she’d never have, a whole life that would be gone in an instant. The car was messed up and they were going to die here. As she pulled the break her body slammed into the steering wheel and she cried out in pain. Her eyes going to look at Natalie to see how she was and wait her answer. “You might have whiplash. I’m so sorry, Natalie.” She blinked back tears at seeing how hurt her friend was. She was going to kill whoever did this!
As she smelled the air her face paled and she looked to Natalie. “We have to get out right now, I smell gas.” Opening her door she ran over to Natalie’s side and opened it helping the girl out. Once they were clear and she looked Natalie over she sighed and picked her up in her arms. She was going to carry the girl to the hospital to get her some medical attention. When they were about fifty feet away an explosion sounded out and wracked the area. A seeing hot pain suddenly shot into her shoulder blade as a chunk of metal embedded itself in. Looking back she noticed her car was gone….no. Shaking her head not even caring about the car anymore she continued on her way to the hospital. “I’ll get you to the hospital.”
Arriving at the hospital she noticed all the chaos and gasped. She was in a hurry to have Natalie looked at. Finding a doctor she argued with them before they started to look over Natalie. Who cared if she had something stuck in her shoulder blade! The other girl came first. “I’m sorry you got hurt Natalie.” She looked to the ground disappointed in herself for failing to keep Natalie safe.

[ [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]the girl in the moon --- Lexi was very much concerned for Oliver. As she looked at him he didn’t look good at all. He really couldn’t hide his sobs from her. Lexi looked at the door and locked it just so no one would disturb them. Everyone already thought the two of them were carrying on some great love affair so it wouldn’t matter if she was in here with the door locked. Oliver needed someone. Even if he protested she stay here until she knew he was on his way to being better. Lexi knew her siblings would be fine and besides, her parents were there. Even if they were at odds with Troy, they would be there for her little brother. Oliver had no one here for him. Not his grandmother nor his brother nor Brooklyn. As far as she knew, she was all he had.
Lexi smiled kindly. ”You’re not being a sobbing idiot.” Normally she might attempt a friendly jest to ease things but this wasn’t the time. Right now she just had to be patient as she looked up at her best friend. Her heart broke for him as his eyes got a funny look and he explained what had happened. But...none of this was his fault. Some sick person had messed with a bunch of people’s cars-including her own! Just Lance had found Lexi first and brought her to the hospital. She was thanking God immensely for that. Oliver was a doctor though. While all medical staff feared losing a patient, he should be used to it more so then say a nurse like her. Especially where he had been a heart surgeon in London. More people probably died from heart attacks then anything else.
Lexi squeezed his shoulders softly as she released a bit of air from her lings. ”Oliver you can’t save everyone. I saw the others caring for him before I came to see you. He looked pretty far off.” Her brow scrunched together. She knew his wife had died but not much more then that. She had no clue how she had died, just like she had been cautious in sharing about her own husband’s death though it wouldn’t be hard to find out. It took up the news in California. But this wasn’t about her-it was about Oliver and him needing to process all his emotions. There seemed to be many bubbling under the surface as Lexi sat and stared at him.
Her gaze dropped as he talked this girl-Summer. She felt a small ache in her chest. She was envious and proud of him all at once. Oliver was putting himself back out there-even in a small way-while she was still holding back. By now her hands were clasped in her lap and she stared at them. She understood his thought process-it’s what held her back from trying to date anyone. She was afraid of Dean’s memory slipping from her mind. Just the day she decided to stop wearing her wedding rings had been an emotional one. Even now, months later, she’d still gaze at her left hand and wonder why her rings weren’t there then she’d remember. Everything would crash back a mile a minute and knock the breath out of her.
Lexi smoothed out her dress as she collapsed form resting on her feet to now rest on her knees. Lexi was cautious in how she worded everything. ”Oliver, just because you decide to love someone again doesn’t mean you’re replacing her. And if you’re worried about that and getting in too deep, then tell her. I mean you’ll have to explain about Lilian and her death one day. Who knows? Summer might be more understanding then you’re giving her credit for.” Her lips pressed together in a thin line. The whole ‘if she doesn’t then she doesn’t deserve you line’ may normally be interjected here but in this case it didn’t seem like it would be received well. ”The fact that you’re worried about it shows you won’t let her be replaced. Heck, you can even love her still. I still love Dean and it’s been almost three years. I still love him with every fiber of my being but I do know when the right guy comes along, I’ll make room for him in my heart too but hold on to that memory of Dean. You are allowed to love more then one person in this case.” It wasn’t like he was cheating but she did know that might run through her head. It went through her own when a guy had tried to kiss her once except in that case she really wasn’t ready at all.
Lexi pushed herself up and put both her hands out to reach for his. ”You don’t have to go out there just yet. I am going to help you finish calming down however you need. Hey! We could even start another rumor. I’ll walk out with my dress all disheveled and pretend to be repining my hair. How fast it gets blown is sure to make you laugh.” Lexi was of coursing kidding. She’d do pretty much anything to make him smile. ”My brother will probably be here overnight and I’m probably going to stay with him. You want me to act like an overbearing girlfriend and text you every fifteen minutes?” That was far from how they worked but not everyone seemed to be able to process that. Lexi’s smile did drop as she gazed at him. ”I’m not going to lie-more people may die. A couple already have from what I’ve heard. But, like I said, I’ll be here all night. You can come find me whenever it gets hard.” She looked towards the door in thought.
”At least take care of Summer. I can pull Cameron aside and see if they’ll be ok with everyone else. Plus there’s tons of people with minor injuries that you could devote yourself too. Do you want me to talk to him?” Lexi’s thoughts and words were everywhere but today had been an emotionally draining one for her and it seemed like it was no where near done. She prayed it would be soon.

Oliver would probably never, ever stop blaming himself for Lilian's death. The grief and guilt of it all still was still very overwhelming for him at times. If I can't do my bloody job, then I shouldn't well be here! Oliver said with frustration and anger through gritted teeth and he shook his hands. Oliver looked at Lexi, making that lost puppy doggish face that was so naturally him. His large nose twitched as he sniffled and his lips pressed together making his mouth seem even more flat and wide then it already was. His chin stuck out a bit and he ran his long thin fingers through his hair. You really think so? He asked, his yes moving about her face, as if they were searching for the truth written on her features. Was it truly okay to love Summer? How could Lexi be so sure she wouldn't be replacing Lilian? If Lexi said it was okay, then Oliver did have some faith that it was. He trusted Lexi very much. Brooklyn, Lexi, and Cameron were the only real friends that Oliver had. so if any of them gave him advice, he really listened and took it to heart and trusted them. Still, Oliver was going to ease his way into this whole thing with Summer. But what if she doesn't? What if she doesn't...understand? He asked softly, revealing, though not consciously that he was not only afraid of hurting Summer, but of being hurt by her. These sorts of things always seemed to work both ways. What if I tell her and ask her to walk this path with me and she say no? Oliver knew it wasn't really a fair question to ask Lexi, or anyone. What could they say? He was more just thinking out loud than anything. Oliver couldn't help but chuckle at Lexi's jokes, despite the fact that he was still quite a bit upset and unsure of himself. But Lexi was sweet and a true friend and one of a few people in this world who actually truly cared about him and what happened to him. And he of course cared about her and what happened to her as well. Their friendship was a special kind of bond, a bond that Oliver couldn't possibly share with anyone else who, because none of his other friend or acquaintances had lost their spouses like Lexi had her husband and of course Oliver his wife. Lexi meant more to him that she would probably every understand. If you need anything, please tell me Lex, okay? She would be keeping a vigil over her brother, the least he could do was bring her coffee or food or whatever else she or Troy might need. Oliver nodded solemnly when she said that he didn't have to go out just yet, and explained to him that more people might and probably would die tonight. Oliver felt he was a bit more collected now and that perhaps, if or when he lost another patient, he might be better equipped emotionally to handle it. The first was always the hardest. And though Oliver had lost patients before, this was the first patient he'd lost since his wife. Sighing deeply, Oliver gave Lexi his best smile and wrapped his arms around her giving her a hug, then he kissed her forehead in a caring friendly manner and looked down at her. Thank you Lexi. Oliver took a few moments alone after Lexi left his office, to make sure that he was ready to step back out onto the floor. He poured himself a small glass of water, fixed his hair, straightened his jacket and left his office. Oliver walked down the hall to the nurses station and inquired after Summer. He looked at her charts and read the test results. She had a concussion as he had diagnosed, but it was minor and she would probably be released within two days. As for her shoulder, another of the doctors had set it while she was out and it was currently in a sling. The bruises would have to be watched, but would likely heal on their own. She had been admitted and placed in a recover room on the third floor. Oliver's shift was ending in 5 minutes anyway, so he checked a few more charts before clocking out and heading up to Summer's room. Oliver stopped at the doorway to her room and watched her for a few moments. She looked angelically beautiful as her long golden locks of hair lay spread on the pillow and her chest gently rose and fall as she slept in a rather peaceful manner. Oliver had almost decided to walk away and let her sleep, then changed his mind. He wouldn't wake her, but he would sit by her bed until she woke. This woman was special to him and though he couldn't bring himself to go all the way with her yet, he wanted to work towards that goal, if she would help him along the way. The gangly Brit stepped noiselessly into the room, grabbed a chair and pulled it up beside her bed and sat down. Leaning forward, his elbows resting on her knees, Oliver smiled lightly as he again began to watch her. His mossy green eyes moved down her body, till he saw one of her hands at her side, closest to him. Ever so gently and tenderly , Oliver lifted her hand, stroked it gently, kissed it, then set back down on the bed, as carefully as if it was a treasured piece of China. Oliver then leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep. [/ul]

Post by SUMMER LILA BANES on Apr 7, 2013 14:10:41 GMT -5
Summer stayed asleep for a while, not even waking up when the heavy footsteps of Oliver pounded throughout the hospital room. Her head was hurting her too badly for her body to allow her consciousness just yet. Her body was beaten and bruised from her collision into the door, but considering the speed at which the other car hit her brother's she was in fairly decent shape. Her chest hurt from the slightly bruised ribs, the bruises weren't very easy to see just yet, but were slowly forming into the dark blue and purple tender spots that would make it obvious. She wasn't necessarily asleep, just unresponsive to anyone or anything going on. Her brain had simply said, 'I'll wake you up when I'm done' and turned out the lights.
She wasn't too good at listening to her brain, however, so she tended to slide into a halfway zone... limbo if you would, where she could feel and hear, just not see or move. When the chair was being pulled across the room towards her bed, it started to peak her curiosity. Who was that? Why were they there? This was a hospital, right? Was it Oliver? She had so many questions. It was fairly quiet for a few moments, and then she felt someone gently lifting up her hand in their own large and thin hands -- Oliver, she knew it was him now -- and lifted them every so tenderly to his lips where he placed a kiss on her hand. She wanted to wake up, to hug him, to know that everything was alright, but she couldn't even look at him: her eyelids were too heavy to open. However, her left thumb did move ever so slightly, which was a huge step for her as she worked her hardest to push past her brain's protests. She could feel her thumb against her stomach, as it rose once and then fell back onto the fabric of her dress. That was all she could do as he put her other hand down on the bed again and removed his own hands. She wondered if he was still there, but of course he had to be, since she didn't hear his elephant-like footsteps crossing the room to the door. She let her mind take over again and soon enough she was back to just blackness, but the fact that Oliver was there made her feel much better, it gave her a sense of security. She'd never really had a serious relationship with anyone, besides one or two in her college years, but she had a feeling that something could happen between her and Oliver. The idea of it excited her and worried her all at the same time. What if she wasn't ready for anything with him? What if she hadn't gotten out of that comfort zone yet? She didn't want to disappoint him, while at the same time, she didn't want to be reading into this relationship too much and be horribly wrong with her idea that maybe it would be taken to a new level.

His deep accent filled the air, though he spoke much softer than usual. Wonderful to see those shining eyes again. Oliver gave her hand a gentle squeeze as he swallowed back the emotions that were threatening to take control of him, successfully holding them at bay for the time being. [/ul]

Georgiana blinked as the mysterious man handed a cat to her. The cat didn't seem to like being picked up, but was glad when the animal was put down next to her. She listened to the man, and watched him walk away. She looked down at Simon, which was apparently the cat's name, and he brushed up against her. She smiled slightly, and petted the cat. "Good kitty." She then sniffled, and hugged the animal. Simon meowed a little, but didn't do much. Such a nice kitty; it's a wonder why he didn't already try to scratch her. Then again, what was a cat doing walking around with a man in a hospital?
The man must have been a doctor, which is possibly why she hadn't recognized him befor- wait! Wasn't he at the wedding? He had a trench coat on, she thought. Now he was wearing scrubs, but she was certain that was the man from the wedding. He was nice, and Georgiana felt slightly embarrassed that she had assumed he was a mean person before. Maybe, once this was all over, she would bring the man a cupcake as a way of saying thanks. Everyone loved cupcakes -okay, maybe not everyone, but most people did.
She pet the cat again, and felt a little better. School was going to be more difficult now that her favorite counselor was gone, but maybe she could go out and make some friends. That's what Ms. Sparrow would have wanted, right? It may be difficult, but if there were people that were just as nice as the man around, maybe she actually had a chance of having a friend or two. Or maybe even more. "Maybe we could be friends, Simon?" She asked the cat. The cat blinked lazily, and meowed. She took that as a yes.
She felt exhausted. So, she yawned, curled up, and started to drift off into sleep. If someone wanted to wake her up to tell her to move she would be fine with it. She just didn't really feel like moving from her spot at the moment though. The cat looked around, seemed to have a grumpy expression, and curled up next to the girl. Maybe this was a sign that things would get better; that happiness springs out from misery. She just hoped that was the case here.

Post by SCOTT MATTHEW CLAYTON on Apr 8, 2013 16:06:07 GMT -5
Scott pretty much worked all night to help save the other patients. He had cases similar to this in the past (since Boston was a pretty big city and sometimes there were some big accidents that happened), but at least at his old hospital there were plenty of people around to watch over the victims. Here was a different case. He found himself running back and forth between the rooms to make sure the patients were okay. He felt rushed and a bit skittish, but he didn't let it get in the way of his job. He was a doctor, after all, and it was his duty to save the lives of the innocent even if he was on vacation or nervous.
Scott opened his eyes, and realized he had fallen asleep in the cafeteria after taking care of a particularly hurt patient. He stretched his arms, and then saw that someone had walked into the room. He didn't exactly duck for cover so as much as fall over in his chair as the man went to purchase some food. He felt a little embarrassed. What would the others think? Would they think he did a good job in saving some lives? Or would they yell at him for butting into their private lives? He wasn't too sure.
He got up, brushed himself off, and put the chair back in its place. He walked out of the cafeteria and into the hallways. He needed to find Simon.
He started to walk past some rooms when he noticed that Lexi was in one of them. She was talking to someone on a bed and that man he saw in the cafeteria. He should leave them alone, since it looked as though they were busy. He walked away, and after a few minutes realized he was lost. Uh oh. Where was Simon? Surely the girl he left him with didn't take him home, right? Simon would have come back to him if he thought he would be away from Scott for too long, right? Scott bit his lip. He also forgot the room where his coat and trench coat were in. He was too busy last night to notice where the place was at. He didn't want to ask someone since he was a little embarrassed, and he couldn't talk to Lexi because she was talking to someone else. He didn't exactly know what to do.

Post by NICOLE ANN COOK on Apr 9, 2013 15:32:32 GMT -5
Since Dominic had their daughter, Nicole’s weekend off with Rick was spent dancing. He had found some new bar he had been going to and wanted Nicole to come. When she had Everleigh at the house she didn’t go out no matter how much Rick insisted they get a babysitter. Her daughter always came first. When people saw her some nights like tonight they might not believe that, though. Or if anyone saw Nicole when she was truly alone. The woman was a zombie. Worse then a zombie. It was getting harder and harder to feel anything at all. Sure things Everleigh did made her happy but it was fleeting. This demon inside her seemed to be getting worse, not better. She lived for when Rick found something else new and exciting for them to do. As the two dance, one of his friends came in and started to grind against Nicole as well. She didn’t really care that much until her phone was going off in her pocket. The two men were reluctant to let her go but she pushed them away and went outside. The hospital? Nicole answered it. The confused look on her face turned to panic as she went back in to get Rick. Except he was to drunk to go with her. With a grunt of frustration, she told him what was going on and took the car. One of his buddies would bring him home. Nicole sped to the hospital. Trying to get into the building was ridiculous. Eventually she got a hold of a security guard who helped her through when she said her daughter was in there. He had a list of names and once confirmed. Nicole was safely behind those doors. A doctor explained that her daghter was fine but her husband wasn’t. Yes, the man said husband. ”We’re not married anymore.” Nicole shifted uncomfortably and the doctor apologized, saying she was still listed as Dominic’s contact. Since his only family left was unconscious as well, Nicole figured she should check on him. Especially since Everleigh was asking to go see daddy. With a sigh, Nicole signed all the discharge papers and picked her daughter up. She thanked the social services lady and made her way down the hall to Dominic’s room. Nicole used her knuckles to tap on the door as Everleigh wiggle dout of her grasp. ”She wanted to come see you before we left.” Nicole’s heart tugged seeing her ex-husband like this. She moved to stand by his bed while Everleigh climbed into the chair beside it in an attempt to climb on the bed. ”No honey daddy has some big boo-bos. See, he got hurt. We have ot be gentle with daddy.” The sad look broke her heart but she didn’t want Dominic getting hurt worse. Just because she was pretty much numb didn’t she as completely uncaring. ”How are you feeling? I heard talk in the halls that this all wasn’t an accident.”click for outfit!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, background-color:#f4f4f4; width:400px; padding:8px; border: 8px solid #9b6464;] she‘s had all she can take SOMETHING’S GOTTA MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE. I DON‘T KNOW WHERE IT IS BUT SOMETHING‘S GOTTA GIVE
Natalie’s heart fluttered over when Isabella called Natalie her “date”. All this was new and confusing. Just like everything she did was Jackson was new and confusing. But she ignored it for the most. Everything could be figured out later on. ”Um I don’t care? I don’t even know what’s out.” It was Valentine’s so most movies out were romantic ones. Natalie laughed as she rolled her eyes. ”You’re accent is cute. Don’t change because people are stupid and can’t take the time to listen.” Natalie clasped her hand over Isabella’s in reassurance which is what inevitably led to them continuing to hold hands.
Twice. Natalie had faced uncertainty and possibly death twice. She was starting to think God had a sick sense of humor. She was just starting to get over the mental and physical trauma of her kidnapping. No, she wasn’t entirely healed but she was starting to do better. And now she was facing being seriously messed up again. Thankfully her injuries weren’t too bad. She groaned out a response to Isabella. ”It’s not your fault, Izzy. But everything does hurt.” A few tears fell out as she waited for Isabella to ocme help her out. As she tried to gasp for air, a sharp pain went through her neck. It really did hurt to move and was very stiff.
Isabella caught her off guard with sweeping her into her arms. ”Izzy put me down, I can walk.” They could see the hospital from here-it really wasn’t far. She fought against Isabella but with the explosion, she had to curl into the brunette to keep debris from falling into her eyes. Seeing it had hurt to move her head like that, she kept it pressed against Isabella’s shoulder, practically nuzzling her neck at this angle. Every step she felt sharps stabs of pain but bite down on her lip to surprise the unpleasant groans.
When they reached the hospital, Isabella went through the ambulance doors. She sighed. ”Izzy, it’s not your fault.” When a nurse came over and Natalie’s injuries were explained, they put her on a gurney and stabilized her neck. The nurse started to chastise Isabella for moving Natalie and refusing to get looked at. Natalie got a stern face. ”Isabella Helstrom! I have to go for x-rays anyways. You get that out of your shoulder or I will kick you ass.” Natalie shifted on the gurney as she caught sight of her father. She asked the nurse about her dad’s injuries, glad he was ok. She made sure Isabella was being looked after then went to see her father before the took her off to x-ray.

Post by SUMMER LILA BANES on Apr 14, 2013 14:49:09 GMT -5
The entire night, she'd gone between trying to force herself back into consciousness and sleeping her boredom away. She'd wondered if Oliver was still there, if he was okay, how badly her brother and her niece were hurt, what those other sirens were from and so much more. She was halfway sure she'd figured out the meaning to life but had lost it in the pool of all her other great discoveries made while unconscious. She wanted, more than anything, to just wake up. This must have been what her roommate, and best friend, from college had felt like on the night that she'd had a seizure and gone into a coma. Abigail had always said that it was one of the scariest nights of her life, not being able to do or say anything. Her boyfriend at the time, who she'd ended up marrying that past summer, was also torn apart, and Summer had been the one to see him fall apart as he sat by her bedside and waited for her to wake up.
Summer's body started to lighten slowly, allowing her back the control she'd been denied for the past 9 or so hours. The bright sunlight that radiated through the windows caused a bit of resistance when she went to open her eyes, forcing her to blink repeatedly and turn her head to the side opposite the window. The motion which turned her head caused for some discomfort but she pushed past that, feeling his hand holding her own.
She opened her eyes completely and a smile crept onto her face as she saw him standing over her and smiling down as he rubbed his thumb over her hand. "Good morning." She said quietly, her voice slightly hoarse. She looked down at her left arm, seeing it in the sling and remembered it hitting the car door. She looked back up at him, a little anxious. "Where's Dom?" She asked him, needing to know about her brother. He'd been the one directly hit by the other car so he had to be in worse shape.

[ist] It was so good to see Summer, eyes open, and speaking in clear, intelligible sentences. It wasn't that Oliver had expected her not to. But there always seemed to be a nagging "what if" whenever dealing with an unconscious patient, no matter how good or bad the prognosis. It nearly brought tears to Oliver's eyes, he was so relieved. It was hard to believe that it took her being hurt for him to wake up and realize how deep his feelings were for her. Sure they hadn't known each other long, hadn't really been seeing each other long, but the attachment, at least on Oliver's part, was growing strong. That's just how it had been with Lilian. They hadn't been together very long before they got married. It was just one of those things where they knew they were right for each other. Oliver wasn't saying that he was going to propose to Summer next week and get married at the end of the month or any such thing. He was just saying that he thought he and Summer had potential.
Oliver smiled as she asked about her brother. He gently reached up and moved a few stray locks of her golden hair, out of her face. He's in a room across the hall, and doing just fine....Everleigh his fine too....A brave niece and brother you have. He smiled encouragingly. Dom had been pretty banged up in the accident. But had no major, lasting injuries and the same with his daughter. All three Banes would make a fine and quite likely, quick recovery. You can probably see him tomorrow, but for now, the two of you are on complete bed rest. You need to give your bodies time to heal and adjust. Oliver explained with a kindly manner.
Now, you must be hungry. He concluded. What would you like? I'll go down to the cafeteria and get it for you. It'll be faster than ordering up and cheaper too. Oliver took a little pen and paper from the bedside and wrote down what she wanted, then put it in his pocket and saying he'd return shortly, walked towards the door. Stopping in the doorway, Oliver looked back over his shoulder and smiled at Summer, his eyes slightly squinty as they often were when he smiled this way. I'm glad you're alright Summer.
Oliver wasn't gone more than 10 minutes before returning with Summer's requested breakfast. He pulled up the bedside wheeling tray and prepped everything for her, making sure it was all to her liking. It was quite obvious he planned to take care of her every step of the way.

She let out a relieved sigh when Oliver said Dom was across the hall from her. What she didn't know was that he was in rough shape. Maybe she had an idea in her mind, but she'd sure be surprised just how much damage was done, even if it wasn't life threatening or too drastic, it was still more than she'd expect. She smiled at his kind words about her brother and Everleigh, "They sure are..." Summer agreed, glancing towards the hallway but not gazing for too long since it was nearly impossible to see out into it.
When Oliver said they were both on bed rest, she gave a small sigh, but couldn't help her small smile from growing on her face. It was adorable just how careful he was being with her, and she really did appreciate it. She knew this was his job, him being a doctor and all, but she doubted he normally took patients' breakfast orders and brought them back up to the room. She gave a small laugh, which did hurt just a bit, but she didn't mind. "If there is any yogurt, I'd love some. And toast would be nice too." She said to him as she watched him write it down. Had he stayed there the whole night? She wouldn't know since she'd been asleep for most of it. He had to be hungry as well, but surely he'd grab something for himself at some point. She been looking down at her left hand until she heard his footsteps stop, at which point she looked up and their eyes met once again, a smile gracing his face and forcing one onto her own. His eyes were so full of joy and relief that it nearly caused for her to wonder what he thought would have happened to her. Was he up worrying that night? She could only pray that he wasn't, she'd feel terrible. It was her fault that she was here with a hurt shoulder and ribs. She'd bed the one to climb in back and try to cover Everleigh... Which was stupid now that she thought about it. What could she have done to help the little girl by simply blocking her from the impact? Maybe stop the airbag at most. She shook those thoughts from her mind and closed her eyes for a bit.
A few minutes later, Oliver was walking back into her room and she heard the cart wheeled over towards her beside from near the wall. He really was being too funny about this. "that looks wonderful. Thank you." She said to him with a nod as he continued to fix things. "I can't decide whether I should feel like a princess or a crippled lady in a nursing home..." She said to him with a laugh as he fussed over all the little details.
