What’s this you ask? Well, this is the next Truth Revealed Thread. Except....things will be a little different. Avery has done something to a couple dozen cars. What? Well we’re not telling. But we’ll give you a few hints: you can’t slow down, your steering is out of control & you cannot stop it from crashing. Now, we’re not going to chose your injuries or anything-that’s up to you. But be realistic please. If you run into a tree head first, you’re not walking away with just a few bumps & bruises. As you decide your character’s injuries please pm either AshleyP or Cupcake so we can add it next to their name on this list. For the first part, only the victims, medical & police staff are allowed to post. Victims: you are allowed to explain out as much of the crash that you want. Also the ambulance bringing them in & being in the hospital. There is no rush for this because I don’t think it’ll take many posts for them to interact with doctors. Be mindful we only have two doctors that can post in the hospital & one nurse. They cannot get to everyone. If your character has minor injuries(broken bones, a minor concussion, cuts that need stitches) it may be best to NPC your doctor. But we’d love your reactions as you see everyone else in the ER as there isn’t enough rooms for everyone. Anyone with minor injuries will be placed in the hallways, not a room. Minor injuries are the ones listed above. If you’re not sure, send myself or Cupcake a pm. Now, after Avery posts, all characters are allowed to post. Family & friends will be allowed to come in. town members are gathering outside the hospital to pray & wait on news of some beloved members of the community. Finally, the end, well...that’ll be a surprise ;) Victims(Organized By Car)names in italics are npcs. if they are related to your character, feel free to chose their injuries. us admin have plans for the last six npcs[/b] concussion, three broken ribs, puncture lung(left side), broken leg(left side) Clarence Winslet & Meredith Winslet CW-broken leg, crush injuries//MW-in a coma Dominic Banes, Summer Banes & Everleigh Banes DB-broken arm, broken ribs, concussion, whiplash, punctured lung, several gashes requiring stitches//EB-minor injuries//SB-Dislocated left shoulder, bruised ribs on both sides, and a minor concussion Troy Cross gash on head, concussion, broken ribs Lisa Cross(named Lisa for this thread) broken leg, dislocated shoulder Sydni McLaughlinConnor McLaughlin minor injuries Michael Westin/Harris, Fiona & SamPastor Jake Owens broken arm, whiplash Isabella Helstrom & Natalie Owens IH-bruises from seatbelt//NO-broken wrist, whiplash Catalina Garcia concussion, fractured spine Cohen Tyler & Izabel Tyler minor injuries Rosalie Velastro(Rosalie Pizza Emporium Owner) dead Claire Johnson(High School English Teacher) dislocated shoulder Jennifer Sparrow(High School Counselor) dead Steven Patstone(Elementary Principal) dead David Bowden (Fire Chief) dead “Jane Doe”(will be NPCed by only a few people)[/I] coma, broken ribs, broken leg[/ul][/justify]

[/color] After Leila and Daniel had left for their honeymoon, Jude stuck around for a little bit before leaving. There wasn’t much for him to do. He danced with Sydni and a few of his female friends for a bit. He tried to talk to Natalie but she refused to speak to him so he let it be. Though, it was odd, to see how her and Isabella were dancing. Maybe he was just reading into things too much but Jude already knew if her father had seen it he wouldn’t be pleased. The pastor had left a little while prior, stating he was tired. And Jude wouldn’t tell him what he had seen because who knows-he could really be reading into things too much. The girls were friends after all. They were probably just having fun.
Jude probably shouldn’t be behind the wheel after having the champagne but he didn’t care. The champagne is what made him do a double take when he saw a car on the side of the road. It…it looked like Pastor Owens’ car. Jude went to press on his brakes and tried to pull over to the side of the road but everything got stuck. ”What the hell…” Literally everything was stuck. His car went a few more feet after climbing up to ninety miles per hour and then crashed into the guard rail. From there it rolled over it a couple times and landed on the passenger side. Jude blacked out for a few minutes.
When he came to, he was groaning in pain. It was hard to breath and blood was trickling down his head. He couldn’t gauge what hurt worse-his left leg or the ribs on his left side. Jude tugged on the seatbelt but it wouldn’t come loose. He fiddled in the middle console and found his pocket knife before he cut himself loose. He winced and half screamed in agony as he climbed out of his drivers side. Jude deduced his leg was broken because he couldn’t put any type of weight on it. And he could hardly breath from his left side. Using pretty much only the right side of his body, Jude crawled away from his car before it started to catch fire. Someone came to help him and told him to lie down and that an ambulance was on the way.
Jude gulped for air as all of a sudden it felt like he was drowning. He was gasping so much that he became light headed from the lack of oxygen and passed out slowly.

Kitty vaguely remembered that morning. It was hazy... a blur against her reality and even though it was clouded by pain, by anguish, crippling agony. She focused on these faint memories, watching them gradually become clearer. Her mother.. drunk again and yelling... slurring her words. Bottles breaking on the walls... Her chest tightened and she felt the darkness pressing in on her as she remembered how terribly worthless she was... no wait.. that was the memory...
A fresher memory reared its ugly head... one of dancing and laughter... of marriage. The wedding! Now she could picture it. She had arrived after finally fixing up her car... it was a pale yellow beetle... old school of course. It had taken years to get it put together and working... where was it now? Kitty was having a hard time remembering where she had parked it... There was a face... it swirled in her memory and brought a flush to her cheeks. His name was on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't remember... it was becoming increasingly hard to remember anything.
She remembered him... and her... the thought of that blonde head made her stomach hurt. Kitty couldn't remember this woman doing anything specifically terrible to her... so why did this overwhelming sense of sadness erupt inside her? Kitty couldn't focus... it wasn't important. She remembered being a wallflower... she had watched everyone be happy, dancing and eating cake. Why hadn't she participated? Why was she always so sad? So pathetic? So... out of the loop? The answer eluded her as she fell into a newer memory.
Kitty was driving. This was a new direction though. This wasn't home... Bags were packed in the backseat and her eyeliner was running... she remembered worrying about it briefly... but other thoughts were more important. Train times... locations she hadn't quite decided on... her resume... That's when the bright lights overtook her vision as she came around the bend. It took her by surprise and she spun the wheel. She hit the curb, barreled through the guardrail and rolled over the hill into the shallow river below.
The light was bright and she thought for a moment that it was happening again, that she would forever be stuck in that terrible accident, repeating it over and over again as her own personal hell. But this light brought a calmness with it, making her feel safe... secure... pain-free. It called to her with promises of happiness.
Something tore her away, she couldn't remember what though.. it was.. it was...
Kitty awoke with a start, breathing heavily and whining loudly as she, in a panic, tried to sit up only to find herself unable to do so. It only further paniced her. She screamed, mostly out of frustration, not really sure where she was or why. The machines around her beeped noisily and she thrashed, pulling the IVs free from her arm, making herself cry out more, in pain. She cradled her arm, whining as she started to relax, her memories hitting her like a train. Her eyes watered at the thought of her poor yellow bug, sitting in a river where she had been... Kitty glanced at the clock, wondering if it was day or night still. Hospitals... she really hated them. She glanced around her room, noticing she was alone. Private. So much debt... Why couldn't she have just died instead? It'll kill her slowly to pay all the bills... There was a small vase of flowers on the table beside her, she noticed, wondering who would've dropped them off, surely not her mother. Footsteps could be heard echoing in the hall and she knew that beeping sound had alerted the nurses. Time just seemed to move so slowly...

At the wedding... Troy greatly disliked the taste of wine, though he always drank some when at a social gathering. In this case, it was his cousin's wedding. He was happy for his cousin, especially when vows were said and the pouch was passed around. He couldn't help it, though, but to feel somewhat jealous. Lexi had always been more attached to Daniel than Troy, and he didn't like that fact. He didn't wish ill will on the new married couple, but he still felt anger well up inside him. After the ceremony was over, he went to the reception room to talk to Lexi.
Unfortunately he got caught up in a lot of conversations with friends. He had been holed up in the station for the past week, and so hasn't been around much to hang out with friends. When they were catching up, he noticed Lexi arrive. He couldn't break away from his conversation, and so couldn't go over to speak to her. He immediately noticed, though, the look that was on her. The 'I'm trying to hide' look, though it wasn't too apparent. He was pretty good at telling when she was about to cry, was crying, or had cried. He had felt a knot in his stomach as he thought about the possibilities. It had been two years, but he knew she hadn't forgotten the pain. He understood that there probably would always still be pain, no matter how much Lexi was able to disguise her feelings.
She started to talk to someone, but he couldn't exactly see who it was at first. Then he realized she was talking to Liam, and Jude, and... who? Troy didn't recognize this man. He was somewhat tall, had darkish-brown hair, and was, oddly enough, wearing a trench coat (though Troy could see that there was a suit underneath). He had a sort of light-hearted expression on his face, and was happily talking to Lexi and the other men. Troy knew most of the people in the town, even if he didn't know them by name. He did not know this man.
He could feel his temper build up as he gripped the wine glass in his hand tightly. Who was this stranger? He definitely didn't know if he should feel secure about the man being around Lexi. What if he was trying to get at something? For God's sake it was a wedding! He was dressed to impress (well, maybe not with the trench coat), and was there for a reason. He knew Liam and Jude somewhat, but he wouldn't have said he was completely comfortable with them being around Lexi. Though, it was the stranger that pulled at his strings. He wasn't overly hostile towards newcomers to the town (he got that people would be moving in for as long as the town was around), but to be conversing this freely with Lexi as though he belonged there? The wedding was an open invitation, and so everyone was invited. But still. This guy was definitely new, and Troy didn't know how long he would be here. If he just walked into the wedding like he owned the place... he may even have intentions of staying for good, which was something Troy did not like at all. He didn't want Lexi to be hurt again, and if strange men started to talk to her in a place like this, it could become a problem. Some men would go through desperate measures in order to get a woman to sleep with them. Troy looked away for a few to converse with someone (and perhaps calm himself down a little), and then l0oked back at Lexi and the stranger.
He noticed something odd. He noticed a strange look on Lexi's face. She was trying to look happy, but... it wasn't that she was sad. It was something else. Something was wrong. The man had done something! Troy breathed sharply, and started to head towards the direction of Lexi and the stranger when one of his friends pulled him away for a dance. He couldn't do much, and couldn't ask her why she looked this way. He tried to keep a careful eye on Lexi and the man, but there were too many people around, and so he often lost sight of one or both of them. Who did that guy think he was? Did he say something to freak her out?
After... Troy was not in a good mood. He had lost sight of Lexi and that guy a lot more times than he would have liked, and he wasn't too sure what to make of the situation. He didn't want to interrogate Lexi about him, since that would be too much like how their mother interrogated Troy about everything (even though, and since, he doesn't talk to her often). He would have to find the man at another time and ask, or more demand. He definitely didn't like the look of the guy; he sensed that he was trouble.
Troy sighed, and ran a hand through his hair. He had already gotten back into his car, but hadn't started the engine yet. He really wanted to give that guy a piece of his mind, but that may have caused Lexi to get angry at him for being hot-headed. He needed to cool down. Maybe tomorrow he could leave early and go to the beach to surf...
He started the car, but decided to wait before actually driving. He got out his cell phone, and found Lexi's number. He typed, 'Hey Lexi Girl. Did you enjoy the wedding? Some of the guys pretty much had me tied down and interrogated me since I've been cooped up in the station for the past week, so that's why I couldn't talk to you. Hope you had fun. Maybe we should hang out sometime?' He pressed send, set the phone down, and started to back up. He steered himself out of the parking lot, and went onto the road. He was still angry, though he wasn't fuming with rage. The text did calm him down, but at the same time he imagined what the man could have been talking to Lexi about, and he didn't like it.
He grumbled as he started to approach a light. Great. He just wanted to get home, go take a relaxing shower, and watch some TV. He was starting to get a little impatient as he got closer, and realized it was going to change to red. Just great. NOW he really had to wait. He wished it was green.
He put his foot on the brake to slow down, and... nothing happened. He blinked, and pressed down on it again. Nothing happened. He did it once more, starting to panic. Nothing happened. His hands started to shake. Thankfully there wasn't anyone in front of him, so he could easily just-
He tried to turn the steering wheel towards the right, and it didn't budge. What? What?! Panic overtook Troy as he ran through the light. He swore to himself, and continued, in vain, to try to control his car. He suddenly realized there was a car up ahead. Oh god oh god oh god. He couldn't stop, steer to the right, or possibly anything else! What in God's name was happening?! He didn't want to hit the car! There was a kid looking out the back at his car as he got dangerously closer to it. He couldn't hit the kid!
With all his might, he turned the steering wheel left (which was difficult since the steering wheel seemed to be almost locked in place), and thankfully missed the car. That car stopped, and so did several other cars behind him. The cars going in the opposite lane started to stop as well, but then they veered to the side as Troy started to spin out of control. Oh please oh please oh please don't hit anyone! Don't hit anyone-
That was the last thought Troy had before his world blackened suddenly.
A few minutes later... Troy was disoriented. He was dizzy, dazed, confused, and he couldn't see well. He thought he was just getting out of bed (did he oversleep this time?), but he swore he thought he opened a door. He felt himself walking, though he didn't know where he was. He thought he saw someone, or something, but everything was too blurry to make out any details. He tasted something coppery in his mouth, and he realized his head was pounding. He staggered for a few more moments, and then felt his cheek hit something (perhaps the ground?). He thought he heard what sounded to be like a person's voice, though he wasn't too sure if it was familiar or not. Was it Lexi? Maybe she was going to yell at him for being late to school again- His vision faded even more, and Troy didn't remember anything after that.
The hospital... Troy was still unconscious, but it was still too early to tell what kind of injuries he received besides the big gash on his head. He had crashed into a trash container while trying to avoid the oncoming traffic, and someone called for an ambulance a few minutes after.

CHAOS!
All of Hope Harbor was in chaos right now. Why was that? Because Avery had finally struck out against all of these fools! They had warned the people of this town that more was going to come following the mayors death. Not only did they have that but it turned deadly the day they took Sophie. If anything Avery was going to get their revenge and show them that Sophie was innocent in everything. Well that would be a lie as to Sophie being innocent. The one good thing about Sophie and now the new Skylars? They were all loyal to Avery and would never give up who Avery really was.
The wedding was the perfect time to strike. That was after the happy couple had left of course. They would have their own fun soon enough when Lexi finally released the photo to the other girl. If not then everyone would learn about what really happened back in California. Oh the poor girl was hiding it so well but it wasn’t hidden well enough.
Everything happened so fast as people started to leave. Everyone’s car had been messed with to some degree. If they were strong then they would survive if not…well then there was going to be some death’s today. As people got into their cars and left Avery sat in hiding watching the chaos unfold. That was when the music started. What music? The music of screams! Oh how it made Avery’s heart flutter in delight. Avery’s eyes landed on a jeep that was speeding down the hill. Poor Rosalie Velastro! Avery watched as her car slammed hard into a tree and the windshield shattered. A sick grin spread on Avery’s lips as they spotted the pool of blood spreading around the drivers smashed skull. There was one. The sound of crunching metal brought Avery’s eyes to one of those small smart cars. A large truck smashed Jennifer Sparrows car to pieces as it landed in the middle of the road upside down. Another one bites the dust.
Making their way to the hospital Avery walked in holding their arm almost like they had broken it. This way they could observe the chaos as it unfolded there. Oh the number of families that were there trying to be treated. Passing a covered gurney Avery looked at the name tag to the covered up person. Steven Patstone? Poor man looked like he hadn’t suffered. There was a large piece of metal sticking up from his gut. Three people so far. Hearing the wails of people and children only made Avery happy. Now these people knew what was going to happen to them. After what happened to Avery’s family they would learn what it was like.
When Avery came across another gurney they pulled up the blanket to see a headless body. What in the hell? Now this was one that they liked. Seeing the head on the other side next to the arm Avery smirked. So David Bowden was dead too? Good. After looking around some more Avery went up towards the ICU area and grabbed a cup of coffee. This chaos was empowering to them. After sticking around awhile to see what all was going to happen and what all happened; Avery slipped out of the hospital unnoticed happy with their work.

The wedding had turned out to be a blast! When she had finally gone and talked to Natalie it all turned out to be better. After everything that was going on with them. They had gotten talking and even sat at the same table to eat. When the dancing started they had both gone off and started dancing with people to have fun. By the end of the day she had found her way back to Natalie and took her hand and led her to the middle of the dance floor so they could dance together. All kinds of songs came on and it didn’t matter as long as they were having fun and dancing.
When the last song ended she smiled and took Natalie’s hand as she led her outside to her car. Why not drive her home? Seeing as her dad was already gone she would need a ride home. Walking up to her car she went to the passenger side and opened the door for Natalie and helped her inside the car then closed the door and go into her side. Starting up her car she smiled and then leaned over real fast capturing Natalie’s lips in a kiss. What? They were alone! Pulling back she turned on her car and smiled. “Want to go to the movies?” There were some good movies coming out. A smile came to her lips when she realized that she had just said that and sounded like an American. She had been working with a speech coach to get rid of her accent.
As she drove she had no idea that anything was wrong with her car. When the light at the bottom of the hill turned red she pressed onto the brake pedal and blinked. “What the hell?!” She looked to Natalie in a panic. “Grab the oh shit bar and hold on!” When she noticed cars starting to come her eyes widened more and she tried to figure out what to do. If only one of them was going to make it out alive it would be Natalie. As she started to turn the wheel her eyes spotted the one thing that could be their salvation. Giving a cry in joy she yanked up the emergency break. Her tires squealed as her car stopped on a dime a little over the line. A sigh left her lips as she looked over to Natalie as she rubbed her chest. “You okay?” Looking down her dress she noticed there was a red mark from her seatbelt. What in the hell happened? “Sorry about that. I don’t know what happened, it feels like my breaks were cut.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, background-color:#f4f4f4; width:400px; padding:8px; border: 8px solid #9b6464;] she‘s had all she can take SOMETHING’S GOTTA MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE. I DON‘T KNOW WHERE IT IS BUT SOMETHING‘S GOTTA GIVE
Today was weird. Yes, weird was the best way to describe it. Her and Autumn had enjoyed the ceremony together then grabbed some food. They ended up sitting with Izzy but things were a bit tense between her two friends. Still, the two didn’t exchange barbs and she assumed for the sake of her which she appreciated. Probably more then either girl knew. Once done eating she had danced with Autumn for a bit and then Jackson for a little bit. Eventually it ended up with her and Izzy dancing as well as talking. Which, was bound to happen. They had to talk about the night of the party, especially what happened after Natalie’s fight with Autumn. Natalie had been really confused so she was avoiding Izzy while she figured things out which proved to be difficult. Natalie was new to the feelings she was having in general-not just about Izzy. Plus she k new her father would be very angry to know that Natalie was even having the thoughts she was. Or worse-if he found out what she had done at the party. He would probably disown her and she’d be left without family. But it wasn’t like she was embarking on any type of relationship with Izzy, they were just having fun while Natalie figured things out. No harm in that, right? It’s not like Natalie wanted to be with anyone after all.
Natalie was going to call a cab since her father and Autumn had already left but Izzy offered her a ride home instead. Natalie graciously accepted as she had no way other option aside from a cab. She smoothed out her dress as she got into the car and pulled the shawl closer. She really should have brought a proper jacket. As she rubbed at her arms, Isabella leaned over and pressed a kiss to Natalie’s lips. Natalie blushed as she nodded. ”Sure a movie sounds good. And can we crank up the heat. I’m freezing.” Natalie giggled as she tilted her head at Isabella. ”Well you really are trying to fit in, now aren’t you?”
Somehow during the car ride heir hands ended up clasped together. It was broken when something ended up wrong with the car. Panic settled in Natalie. After her kidnapping she had enough troubles being in cars but now something was wrong with Isabella’s car. Natalie grabbed the little bar and clamped her eyes shut while she began to say a prayer under her breath. The car lurched to a stop which caused her body to lurch forward. The hand not holding the bar instinctively went to brace against the dashboard which proved to be a terrible idea. Natalie felt an intense pain through it. There was another along her neck, shoulders and up her head. Tears spilled over as she pulled her wrist close to her chest. ”I’m alive but…” Natalie’s left wrist was already starting to swell and change colors. ”And my neck hurts to move, Izzy.” After her kidnapping she got scared and panicky very easily. In this instance she had to get out of the small car. Because of how she clung her wrists, her shawl fell off. The cold February air of the evening stung her skin as she stepped out but at least she felt like she could breath.

Post by CAMERON AIDEN MATTHEWS on Apr 3, 2013 17:26:22 GMT -5
Cameron had been having a very nice Valentine’s Day-racing thoughts and all. He had set up Kylie and Haven’s house so it was covered in flowers and candles plus cooked her a nice meal. She had enjoyed the gifts he had got her and he enjoyed the one from her. They had been relaxing together in bed, dozing on and off, when his phone went off. It was the hospital. At first he ignored it since he wasn’t on call but when it went off again he got a bad feeling. The hospital never did that. He begrudgingly answered and went pale as the chief of staff explained what was going on. Every member of the hospital staff was being called in. There had been multiple car crashes with roughly two dozen injuries. The severity was at varying degrees from what he understood. Cameron got out of bed so fast and explained everything to Kylie as he threw on his clothes haphazardly. It wouldn’t matter as he would change into his scrubs and work sneakers as soon as he was there. After he kissed her goodbye, he was gone. The hospital was mobbed. Members of the town were gathered outside, united in prayer from what he understood. The lobby was packed with family members and other loved ones waiting for news on their family. People who knew he was a doctor asked if he had news but Cameron just pushed aside. He had just arrived so he obviously had none. Cameron had never changed so quickly into his work clothes and ran into the emergency room. It was like a scene out of a horror movie. People with minor injuries were put on gurneys in the hallway while the more serious injuries were put into rooms. A young girl with dark hair was unconscious and had a neck support. He ordered a full blood work up and body scan. The nurse said her name was Catalina Garcia from the id in her wallet. As he left that room an ambulance brought in a man who was barely alive. Steven Patstone who was the principal of the elementary school. He was spitting up blood while a hunk of metal from his car stuck out of his side. The man was deathly pale so it wasn’t surprising when he began to crash. Cameron tried his hardest but he had been unable to save the man. He was pronounced dead. By this point Cameron was shutting off all emotions. It was the only way he could get through with all this carnage. A couple other doctors took care of the other two deceased individuals and various patients. Cameron felt a touch on the lower half of his arm. The girl looked vaguely familiar and it clicked-it was Alexandria Cross’ little sister, Lisa. She often came to see Lexi while her sister worked. She looked to be in pain and he learned that only with the broken leg he could see she had dislocated her shoulder. No wonder she was in a wheelchair. The reason she was getting him was her brother, was just brought in unconscious and she wanted him to look at him. Troy Cross was a police officer. He deserved the best care along with being Alexandria’s brother. Apparently Lisa had already called their parents who were going to pick up Lexi. On the way to Troy’s room, Cameron pulled the nursing supervisor aside and ordered them to not make Lexi work and explained the situation. Thankfully they understood. With that, Cameron went into Troy’s room as he began to examine him along with a couple nurses who were cutting his shirt off. The first thing that caught his eyes after the gash on his head was the ugly bruises on his chest. ”I’m going to want a chest x-ray as well as an cat scan to make sure there’s not punctures or internal bleeding. I also want several images of his head so I can see what’s going on there.”Cameron grabbed his pen light and opened Troy’s eye lids before he shined the light into his pupils. ”Hey Troy? It’s me Cameron. I work with your sister, Lexi. Can you wake up for me buddy.”tagged: oliver/troy outfit: click!ntoes: eh will throw a code on later

Troy groaned. What happened? Something bright was being shone on his eye, and he certainly didn't like that. He grumbled, "Lexi, jus' give me five more minutes dammit. I'll be up for school soon." That was his last thought process before he had fainted (again). Lexi was always the one trying to get her younger siblings up and on time for school -something Troy wasn't always willing to do. But he always caved in and got up to get ready. He usually missed breakfast those days, but he was able to get some food in the morning -via pestering his friends for a bit of their lunch. Those were the good days. He just wanted to sleep for a little longer...
Wait. Wasn't he in a car? Troy slowly opened his eyes back up, and winced as the light was shone again on his eyes. He waved a hand to try to get the light away from him. He mumbled, "I'm up I'm up. Am I being interrogated or something?" Troy was certainly still dazed, and the light reminded him of the interrogation lights in those rooms. He rarely ever stepped into there, but thankfully he was never the one being questioned. He may have been mischievous, but he was never a bad kid.
Troy then realized there was a man looking at him and said something. Troy blinked. Huh? Where the hell was he? He slowly went to turn his head so that he could peer around at his surroundings, but he winced instead. His head was pounding. "What the...?" He certainly wasn't in his bed, nor in a car, nor in an interrogation room. So, where was he?
Troy didn't go to the hospital a lot, but he knew who most of Lexi's coworkers were by appearance -or even name. He couldn't concentrate on the man or his voice that well though, but thankfully he wasn't falling back into unconsciousness. Yet.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -dominic had enjoyed himself at the wedding, especially since everleigh had behaved pretty much the whole evening. he'd danced with her a couple times, then asked summer for one. it was nice just spending time with her; joking, laughing, playing with everleigh. they spent a few hours at the reception, until she started looking a bit tired and getting cranky. dominic figured they should get going before she got even more so, and started saying his goodbyes. he hoped summer wouldn't mind, and things were pretty much wrapping up, anyway.
he put everleigh's coat back on her, grabbed the things he'd brought for her, then slipped into his own coat. "you ready?" dominic asked summer, hoping she didn't feel too rushed. he picked everleigh up and they made their way outside, walking towards the car. a lot of people were doing the same, some already pulling out, even. "did you have a nice time?" summer had looked like it, but he wanted to be sure that her day had been a good one. dominic asked everleigh the same question and got an emphatic yes, which made him laugh. finally reaching the car, he pulled out the keys and unlocked it so they could all get in. once he finished buckling her in, dominic started the car. he turned the heat on, but not too high. it was a little chilly, but not freezing or anything. he wanted to make sure everleigh was warm enough, though.
he backed out of his space, and put on his signal to exit the parking lot. dominic pulled out, approaching a red light and hit his breaks so he could slow down. except, the breaks didn't work. he pumped them several times, a panic starting as he realized they weren't going to work. the car actually began picking up a little speed, as they were at a slight incline. "the breaks aren't working," dominic told summer, trying to keep the panic out of his voice. he tried the emergency break, but that didn't work either. he hoped that the light would turn green before they reached it, or maybe no one would be coming. but they were. he looked to his left as they ran the light, just in time for a vehicle to slam into them, t-boning his car.
his door crushed in on him, at the same time his head smacking into the steering wheel as glass went everywhere. dominic felt pain everywhere. his left arm, side and head, mostly, but there were a few other places as well, though the pain was more dull in those areas. it was all too much for his brain and he blacked out. he came to, but didn't know how long he'd been out. dominic groaned, the groan changing into a yell as he tried to move. he held still after that, trying not to take too deep a breath as it hurt more when he did. his brain was foggy and he couldn't think. he heard sirens and people yelling, screaming and crying. crying. everleigh! dominic panicked when he remembered that she was in the car, too. he slowly turned his head in her direction, relieved to see that she seemed to be alright. she was crying, though out of pain or just being scared, he didn't know. she had a few scratches, no doubt from the glass that had gone everywhere.
dominic began to feel dizzy, his head pounding. he tried to focus, turning to summer next. "summer?" he called, using his right arm to reach over to her. he didn't know if she was alright or not, barely able to do much himself. the impact had been on his side mainly, though, so her injuries couldn't be too bad. dominic hoped not, anyway. the pain in his side got sharper and he groaned again, grimacing. the door was still pushed into him, though not imbedded. there was no way he'd be able to get out on his own, though. especially since his arm was broken. dominic assumed, anyway. and the dizziness was probably from a concussion. the pain in his side, however, he didn't know. maybe cracked ribs, but it could have been worse internally. "hello?" he began calling, trying to yell loudly, though he wasn't sure how loud he could manage. "somebody help, please! i can't-i can't get out."

At the wedding... Georgiana had a great time at Leila's wedding. She somewhat knew the Scott family, and thankfully she had never received any hostility from them. She had even worn her favorite fancy dress -the only expensive item she owned and bought for herself, and she felt fantastic. She saw many people she knew -and quite a few she knew well enough to avoid- and spoke to some of her coworkers at Cuppycakes. She saw Lexi, a nurse from the hospital and three other men talking to her -though, to be honest, she didn't exactly recognize the one in the trench coat. But then again she did avoid people in town, so maybe he was a man she avoided.
After the wedding... When the wedding ended, she grabbed her fancy homemade purse and started to walk home -since her mother didn't want to go to the wedding and she didn't want to ask anyone to drive her to the wedding. She was daydreaming about having a wedding of her own someday, she swore she even heard bells ringing to signal the happy couple running out of the church and going into the limo that had 'Just Married' on the back of it. As she was daydreaming, a car went past her on the road, ran the red light, and veered left as it crashed into a trash container.
Georgiana was terrified. What had just happened? As she ran ahead to try to get a better look at the accident, she realized that what she heard wasn't bell, but sirens. Lots and lots of sirens. She arrived nearby the crashed car, with several people now stopping theirs to see what had happened. Georgiana gasped as a man got out of the car, and stumbled towards her. He then collapsed onto the floor. She was frozen in terror. She overheard a panicked person call for 911 on their phone, but she didn't react. What had happened?! An ambulance arrived a few minutes later, and the people brought out a gurney for the unconscious man. A lot of people had already gotten back into their cars and sped off, but some stayed behind. Georgiana decided to go in the ambulance as well; lying and saying that she was the man's younger sister. She was an honest person, and despised lying, but she wanted to help this man. What if he didn't have any family? Georgiana was confused when the paramedic people believed her stuttered lie, but they looked as though they were in a panic themselves. This man had to be the only one who crashed, right?
At the hospital... The ambulance raced to the hospital, and the gurney was handed over to some concerned nurses. Georgiana slipped, and made her way inside. She was shocked by what she saw. Everyone, and she meant everyone, from the town was in the hospital, and there was chaos about. People were crying, rushing about, screaming, pale-faced; every single emotion and even more. Georgiana felt the blood drain from her body as she overheard some woman sobbing about one of her friends crashing. MORE people had crashed? She started to make her way through the crowd; she wanted to find that man from before. She glanced into rooms curiously and saw people working on injured victims. She peeked into one particular room and overheard that the man in there was pronounced dead. Dead? Was that the man she saw? She felt shaky, and continued to look around for the unconscious man.
She gave up, and went back outside where they started to cart more gurneys in. Only thing was that these were covered, and even more people were sobbing. Someone started to speak, but Georgiana wasn't paying attention until the person said a name. Jennifer Sparrow. It was her favorite guidance counselor! She had talked to the woman often since Georgiana was picked on at school. They used to always talk about sci fi novels and movies, and Georgiana often brought the counselor her favorite cupcake from Cuppycakes. She looked around for the woman. Maybe her car crashed as well? It wasn't until Georgiana looked at a certain gurney that her heart sank. A hand was limply hanging out from the coverings, and there was a bracelet around the wrist. It was Ms. Sparrow's bracelet. Georgiana's legs felt wobbly as she tried to convince herself it wasn't the woman she was thinking of. But it was. Georgiana couldn't remember exactly what Ms. Sparrow said about the bracelet, but she remembered it was her favorite possession. That was her bracelet, on that limp wrist, on that limp arm, on that dead bod-
Georgiana let out a sob, turned around, and fled back into the hospital. Her mind was in a panic as she ran down the hallways, bumping and squeezing her way through busy people. She finally stopped, found a wall, and slid down it. She started to sob her heart out into her hands. She realized she was now going to be alone at school without her favorite counselor to talk to. How many more were going to die before the night's end? Georgiana was terrified that all of this was her fault; she was starting to believe that all this was brought about by her bad luck. Her mother was right. She was a mistake. And, right now, she wished she was the one in the covered gurney instead of Ms. Sparrow. At least people liked Ms. Sparrow.

Post by SCOTT MATTHEW CLAYTON on Apr 3, 2013 21:15:37 GMT -5
After the wedding... Scott was excited. His first day in Hope Harbor was a success! Besides the little oddities of some people and the blunder of him bumping into the table which caused Lexi's purse to fall down, he had a great time. He was happy knowing that his stay in the sleepy little town would be a fun one. As he said goodbye and walked outside, he had a funny feeling something was gnawing at him. Who was Avery? He mulled to himself about this as he started to walk. Simon followed behind him, possibly glad to be out of 'Awwww such a cute little kitty!' zone.
Who was Avery? Maybe Scott should ask Lexi that, but... that may sound like he was snooping in on her personal life. And that he was looking at the messages on her phone. He couldn't help it! He was just curious. Maybe, if he ran into Lexi again, she may introduce someone named Avery. But the tone... the tone was not friendly. It sounded... spiteful? No, that wasn't the word. Scott struggled to find the word that would fit the tone of the text with no luck. Scott looked up, and... oops. He wasn't near the hotel. In fact, he didn't exactly know where the hotel was in the town, and he had forgotten his map back in his hotel room. Scott pursed his lips, and looked around again. He then continued to walk, hoping to at least find something familiar in the night-covered scenery.
That was when he noticed smoke in the distance. He started to walk faster, and then broke out into a jog as he saw a car that was on fire. There was a man crawling on the ground, and going away from the accident. It was hard to tell at first who the man was, and if Scott actually knew him -since he only knew like... three people in the town so far. Maybe four. As Scott approached the man, he realized he did in fact know the man. "J-Jude?" He was one of the men Lexi had introduced Scott to. Scott's proper formality went out the window for the moment as he blurted the man's name, and he rushed to his side. Scott scanned over the man's injuries real quick, and immediately saw that Jude's leg was broken. He couldn't exactly tell what other injuries he had, though he feared a lot of them may have been internal. "Hang on! I'll call an ambulance!" Scott reassuringly said, and whipped out his cell phone. He exited out of the text message he was apparently sending -who was he sending it to again?- and dialed 911. "Hello?! 911? There's been an accident-" Scott paused, and looked around. He saw another car a little ways back that had also apparently crashed. "Make that two accidents. There's a man here, a Mr. Jude Winslet, who needs immediate medical assistance. There's most likely more who need some in the other vehicle. Please! Please send help!" Scott was terrified, oh sure, but there was something more important than his scaredy cat feelings. He couldn't break down and stutter now! The person on the other side of the phone sounded rushed, but said an ambulance would be there as soon as it could. They hung up -they sure did sound rushed, which was weird.
Scott was relieved, though. Help would be on the way. Jude tried to move to sit up. Scott gently put a hand on Jude's chest -which may have still been uncomfortable to Jude due to his undiagnosed injuries at the time- and as calmly as he could said, "Please, don't get up Mr. Winslet. You may be more injured than what you see, and if you move more damage may be caused. Just try to relax and breath." Scott always had a problem referring people to their first name, even in stressful situations like this. Jude began to gasp a lot, and Scott realized there was something wrong with his breathing. "It's okay Jude. You're going to be okay. Please just hang in there!" Scott's hand began to shake slightly out of nervousness, and Scott saw that the man was fading into unconsciousness. "Please hang in there!"
Scott heard the sound of an ambulance siren, and saw the red lights coming from behind him. Oh thank god. Scott breathed a sigh of relief, and then looked down to see that Jude had passed out. That wasn't good. Jude was struggling to breath, but Scott had a bad feeling there may have been more damage than at first glance. Some paramedics rushed to Jude's side, and gingerly slid him onto a gurney. Scott stood up, and pointed at the other car that had crashed. "There's probably another person in there, or maybe even more. Do you require me to assist you?" The paramedic he was speaking to dismissed his help, but called out to some of the other workers to go get the person or people from the other car. As they wheeled the other injured man over -Scott did not recognize this man- Scott helped the paramedics put Jude's gurney into the vehicle. The man Scott was talking to was reluctant, but the others convinced him that they needed all the help they could get. Scott's face paled slightly as they said there were several other crashes in and around the town, and they were rushing people left and right to the hospital. Scott got into the ambulance after the two gurneys were placed in, and the doors were closed. Simon had hopped in as well before the doors were closed, and was now sitting next to Scott. The cat seemed on edge, though obviously he did not understand what was going on. The ambulance started to move, and Scott prayed that Lexi wasn't among the people who had gotten into an accident. She seemed like a nice woman. Simon meowed, though no one besides Scott was really paying attention to the cat.
At the hospital... They arrived at the hospital, and got to work. They pulled out the gurneys, and started to move them into the hospital. The paramedics told Scott he couldn't go to where the injured people were due to not being a victim, but he didn't care. He pushed his way through the crowd, and started to make his way to one of the rooms when he bumped into someone.
The man looked very, very flustered, but he still barked at Scott, "What are you doing here?! We can't have random people waltzing around the place while there are victims to tend to!" Scott blinked, and smiled reassuringly. "It is okay, sir. I'm a certified doctor. I'm just here to help." The man blinked. There may have been more said about the certification, but it seemed as though the man was rushed for time. "Okay, okay. There's some scrubs in the office next door. If anyone gives you any trouble let them know that their chief of staff says to shut up and do their work! Don't make me regret letting some stranger work on our injured patients!" With that, the man rushed off. Scott didn't even know the man, but he sounded just like Scott's boss when she was put under pressure. Funny how people in similar positions act the same when in similar situations.
Scott hurried to the office he was directed to, and saw the scrubs. He took off his trench coat and suit jacket, and put the scrubs on. He took everything out of his pockets, and put them on a chair. He also put his jacket and trench coat on the chair. He saw some sneakers, and changed out of his dress shoes for those as well. He then went out of the room with Simon tagging along. The cat was a coordinated little creature; able to navigate where Scott was throughout the crowds of people.
Sc0tt continued to walk down the hall when he noticed a young girl slumped over. Scott was worried for a second, but then he heard the girl sob. She was okay. Scott glanced at the room she was near, and noticed a person was in it. Maybe it was someone she knew. Simon meowed, and Scott knew he couldn't bring Simon around with him. He gingerly picked the cat up, and brought it over to the girl. He leaned down and said in a calm tone, "Here. I can't have Simon following me around as I help the others, but maybe he can help you." Scott placed Simon down -who was a bit grumpy about being picked up- and pat the cat on the had. He then stood back up, and walked towards a place that needed his help. Simon meowed, but knew better than to follow. Instead, he looked up at the girl, and brushed up against her. At least someone would pet him instead of picking him up and petting him on the head.
Now... Scott was out and about, helping anyone with any serious injuries. His field wasn't exactly surgery, but he knew how to help in one and some basic procedures. He was trying his best to help. Yeah, he was definitely terrified and nervous, but he didn't let that show. Instead, he kept a serious and professional air about him as he went around. He may be a silly and kind man, but he took his job seriously, and especially in a situation like this he has to be sure he didn't mess up.
(OOC: Given permission to NPC the chief of staff, and, uh, help the doctors by Ashleyp!)

[/color] he pointed. Can you take a look at the, while I examine Su-...Miss Banes? Oliver hadn't spoken about dating Summer with anyone, no even Brooklyn or Lexi as of yet. Though he had planned to talk to one or both of them soon. He needed help sorting things out. Going into her room, Oliver had to steady himself for a moment. Seeing her laying there in that bed for some reason reminded him of Lilian and when they'd first discovered just how sick she really was. Running his fingers through his hair, Oliver moved to her bedside. A queer feeling overtaking him as he examined the beautiful blonde, who had been rendered unconscious in the accident. Pulling out his pen light, Oliver took a deep breath and pulled back her eyelids one at a time to see if her pupils were properly dilating. One of the nurses entered to assist him. It appears the patient has suffered a minor concussion. He moved to examine her arm, which hung limply at her side. Her left shoulder is dislocated.... Oliver gently felt along her rib cage. He lifted her dress to examine with his eyes. External bruising along the ribcage Turning to the nurse, Oliver ordered a list of test to be done on her. I'll be back to check in on her in a while. Oliver left Summer's room, and went around the corner to an empty part of the hallway, leaning his back against the wall, he breathed deeply. Summer would be fine he was sure, though she'd have some recovery time, but seeing her like that, made him realize how very much he did care for. Not just liked her, but he'd really began to care for and about her and what happened to her. Why it had taken her in a hospital bed for him to realize it, he didn't know. But it had woken him up to the fact that he did indeed want something more than a casual date here and there with her. Hearing a nurse call his name, Oliver hurried around the corner and into a patients room. Monitors seemed to scream at him as the patient flatlined. Oliver tried several times to revive the young man, without success. No! No...no, no no! He yelled as he beat the young man on the chest with both fists several times, trying to get his heart started. He's gone Doctor a nurse said, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. Panting, Oliver nodded and left the room without another word. He went to his office, slamming the door behind him. He paced for a few moments, before dropping to his chair and burying his head in his hands, tears starting to roll down his cheeks. He couldn't take this. This was the first patient he'd lost since he'd been working here and it was his worst fear. Dull and forgotten memories of Lilian and other patients he'd lost seemed to flood his memory, as he silently wept. Other patients needed him, but he wasn't fit to work on them right now. Not like this. This was too much for him to handle. Summer was hurt and now a patient, a life he was supposed to save, had been lost, yet again. Oliver felt useless and helpless. [/ul][/size]

Post by SUMMER LILA BANES on Apr 4, 2013 8:11:51 GMT -5
As the night started to wind down, her niece seemed to be falling fast. It wasn't surprising to Summer when Dom started to gather their things, preparing to leave as he said his goodbyes. Summer went to grab her coat and then go around and say goodbye to those she knew and spoke to that night. Part of her wished that Oliver had been there with her, but she knew that his work was important to him, so she didn't bother pushing for him to attend. Besides, she had her brother there, so it wasn't like she was bored.
As Dom asked if she was ready to go, she nodded and suppressed a small laugh at how tired Everleigh was. "How many nights does she stay up past her bedtime?" She asked him quietly as they started to get into the car to leave. He asked how she enjoyed it and she nodded her head with a smile. "I loved it! It was pretty weird to see how everyone has changed, but it was nice... How about you?" She asked him, remembering how many times he'd danced with Everleigh. She'd watched them while they danced and she couldn't stop herself from smiling at how happy they both were. He was probably one of the best dads in the world, and she only hoped that Everleigh knew that.
As they left the parking lot and headed down the road towards an intersection, she started to feel uneasy by how quickly he was approaching the red light. It was when he spoke up, still a bit calmly that she began to silently panic. She knew there would be cars coming from either side, she knew they'd get hit. In a split second, she had unbuckled and began to climb into the backseat where Everleigh was, trying to protect her, but it was then that she saw a flash of a car before it slammed into the driver's side of the car. She'd been on the left side of Everleigh when it happened, all she remembered was flying across the backseat, slamming her head, shoulder, and whole left side against the door, and then it all went black.
She didn't wake up, entirely at least, but some time later she could hear in the distance a faint beeping sound, something that sounded like footsteps going across the room, and yelling... Where was she? She couldn't lift her heavy eyelids, or any other part of her body. She was stuck there, lying on her back, unable to call for help. Where was Dom? Where was Everleigh? Were they okay? She hoped that they were still alive. Both cars had been moving very quickly when the collision happened. She found herself starting to wonder where Oliver was. She wondered if he was okay, how his shift at the E.R. was going. Then she started to remember the faint sound of sirens right before the crash. Had there been another one? Wait... those sirens weren't a memory, they were right around her now. Was she still at the scene of the accident? Or... or was she at the hospital? Where was Oliver? Was he here? Did he know that she was here? She hoped he was taking care of her brother and her niece, but secretly wished he was in that room with her. Her heartbeat started to race as she thought about all of this and the beeping she'd heard earlier rapidly increased as well. What was happening? She finally slipped back into unconsciousness as her heartbeat dropped down to normal again.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]the girl in the moon --- Lexi wiped at her face for what felt like the hundredth time. She had sent Alex and Reagan home hours ago and stayed behind at the hall. She was going through to see if people left items behind and gathering some items for Leila and Daniel to keep. It was all just too hard on her. Memories of her wedding to Dean kept filling her mind as it had been all night. Finally, with everyone gone, she just let everything out. Sobs wracked her body as she tried to catch her breath. When they overpowered her, she’d grip at a table or sink into a chair. This made the process so much longer. Thankfully the catering crew was gone and the cleaning staff Daniel had hired were coming by tomorrow. Lexi had the whole hall to herself.
The scuffle of footsteps caused her to wipe at her face though it didn’t hide everything.
She turned to the newcomer and tilted her head. It was her brother’s partner. ”Lance, what are you doing here?” His face was grim as he approached Lexi and grabbed both her hands. ”Lexi, it’s your brother. There’s been an accident. Someone messed with his car and other peoples. We’re taking your car because it looks like it was messed with too.” If the man hadn’t been holding her up, she surely would have collapsed. He moved to snake an arm around her waist and set her on a chair so she could gather herself before he took her to the hospital. Lexi felt an attack coming on. She fumbled in her clutch for her pills. She needed her pills...with them in hand she swallowed two before she reached for some water and downed it. Only then did she allow the raven haired man to his squad car to take her to the hospital.
Lexi pushed through the emergency room doors, not caring a damn what people thought. She worked here after all. Brenda snagged her first and said she should see Lisa first because the youngest Cross was freaking out. Lexi found her and Lisa filled her in on everything going on. Lexi couldn’t believe everything she saw there in the emergency room. Cameron eventually came to speak to her about Troy. Apparently he had a pretty bad concussion and was a bit disorientated. Since Lisa had been given pain medications, and their parents weren’t there, they thought it’d be good if Lexi went to see Troy. She nodded her head before going in to see her little brother. Lexi tried to hold her emotions back but today hadn’t been a good one for her. She had gotten a text from Troy not long ago and she had ignored it. Now she wished she hadn’t.
She gripped her brother’s hand as she pressed a kiss to his forehead. Her hand went up to brush at his hair as she smiled weakly. It didn’t really work and she started to let some tears escape. ”Don’t you ever do that to me again. Don’t you ever scare me like this again.” She reached down to wrap her arms around his neck, cautious as Cameron said he likely had broken ribs. When she pulled away she sighed in relief that he would be fine with some major healing. Lexi saw their parents talking to a nurse before they came rushing in. They had already seen Lisa and dad would be bringing her to their house shortly. Lexi gave her brother’s hand a squeeze before deciding to step out for air. Call it fate but at that moment she stepped in the hall, she saw a very frazzled looking Oliver rushing into his office. ’Something’s not right…’ went through her mind. Lexi went to the room he had come from and saw a lifeless body as the staff were removing the wires and making to cover the man up. Lexi went pale and without hesitation went into Oliver’s office.
She tossed her clutch somewhere with a thud before she went to stand beside his chair. Oliver had indulged his worst fear was losing a patient. They knew it was inevitable but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t be hard. Lexi moved to pull on Oliver’s hands from his face as she moved to semi kneel down, resting her weight on her feet. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. ”Oliver talk to me…” Lexi’s hand reached up to smooth out his hair not like a lover but as a friend. Lexi was one who always had a motherly touch, or so people said. She pressed the side of her head to his as he rested along her shoulder. The two were cut from the same cloth-lost their other halfs before they got to live the lives they wanted with them. And they both lived in difficult jobs that dealt with loss. They were the perfect compliment for friends and so Lexi knew what he needed and that was someone understanding and patient to let him speak on his own terms. Lexi had all night and would stay as long as he wished her to.
