Kylie was so very excited for the Charity Ball. Oh not beause it was a Charity Ball. She'd been to plenty of those in her life. No. She was excited for this because she had a date and not just any date. A REALLY hot one. Her wonderful boyfriend, Cameron, who she was so very, very, madly in love with. Kylie had never loved or adored anyone in her life than she did Cameron Matthews. In addition to this excitemet, Kylie had made a beautiful gown for her sister (Haven had designed it herself and showed amazing potential if she ever decided to go into the fashion industry). And she had designed and made her own gown for the event. Kylie had even designed the shoes and clutch, but she'd sent those designs to Chicago to have them made. She hadn't been able to wait to see Cameron's eyes caress her as she wore the outfit. And perhaps if all cards were played right, Cameron might have a special New Years Eve, much like his Christmas Eve. The night held the promise of being most memorable.
The Christmas Holiday had been most delightful. It had started with the Christmas Eve special. Food, gifts, love making. Kylie was quite sure that she knew exactly what was on Cameron's mind most any time he looked at her now. She figured that she was never wearing clothes in Cameron's minds eye. Kylie's parents had come in from Chicago, and as she had predited tot he nervous Cameron and Haven, they loved both of them, nearly as much as she did. Having what felt like a complete family aroud her on that day, had made the Christmas the best she could have asked for. What more could a girl in her situation want, then to have the her boyfriend, her blood sister, and the couple who had taken her into their home and raised her as their own flesh and blood. Kylie couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful, even if she had tried. It was all to wonderful for words.
Arriving at the gorgeous mansion, Kylie took Cameron's arm and allowed him to escort her in and help her off with her coat, which as passed to the attendant. She gave him a foxy smile, twirling once to show off her work. What do you think, Mr. Matthews? Kylie raised her eyebrows in sexy manner, and leaned in to kiss him, then grinned at his invitation to dance. Why I'd just love to Mr. Matthews. Kylie replied in her best faux souther accent, which was surpisingly convincing.
Entering the ballroom, there were already many coupes milling about and many were dancing. She hoped that she and Cameron would get at least a few dances in before they were interrupted. Kylie knew it was all for Charity and not just for their own pleasure. But she desperately wanted to be selfish and keep him all to herself tonight. Perhpas later they would find themselves a quiet little hideaway. The Zakarian Mansion was bound to have a few solitary corners where they couldn't be bothered, right?!
Kylie stared deep into Cameron's eyes as they began to dance. She smiled dreamily. I'm so happy Cameron She said softly, and wraping her arms around him, she leaned her head on his chest as they swayed back and forth on the dance floor and she forgot where they were and that anyone else it he world existed. It was just the two of them. Cameron and Kylie, in their own blissfull wonderland of unadulterated love.

Post by LOUIS ARDEN FITCH on Feb 15, 2013 1:04:42 GMT -5
As Louis had made his way away from Haven, he was stopped by two young ladies in their twenties, who had recognized him and were quite start struck. They said all the usual things like "We're your biggest fans" and "We know every word you've written" or "Do you remember us from that show in Chicago last spring?". As if! Louis wondered that people asked such questions. Didn't they realize he saw more people in week than they did in a month? Not to mention, he hardly ever did signings and he knew he'd never done one in Chicago. Did they think he could see them from the stage? Perhaps if they had been in the front row. But Louis didn't remember faces, unless he was personal friends with them. Despite the somewhat ridiculous conversation, Louis was gracious, smiled and spoke with them. He autographed a napkin for one of the ladies, and an iphone cover for the other. Than he granted them each the picture they asked for, which was promptly uploaded to facebook. They asked if he would add them, but he declined on the basis of not having a facebook. Which was true, he didn't. But if he had, Louis would have come up with some other excuse. In the event that he ever did have a facebook, it would be for personal use only, and he wouldn't add fans to it. Fans had the tendency to complicate life at times.
As the continued to talk to him and tell him how they sang and wrote their own songs, Louis' smile stayed pasted on his face and he nodded and gave a small polite utterance from time to time. He wished for some escape route and casually scanned the area without the ladies noticing. But he found no acceptable way of getting away from them without causing insult. And that was something he wanted to avoid. Insults were, most times, unnecessary. Had Louis been able to get a word in edgewise, he might have been able to excuse himself, but that as an impossibility. It seemed that young women in their twenties, didn't have an off switch. Just like teenage girls. Nothing ever changed much with girls. Not until they were older. Just as Louis had made his mind to interrupt the women, rude or not, and make his escape, he felt someone grab his arm and pull him away. Turning his head, he saw that it was Haven and with a perplexed look, allowed her to take him aside.
The look of panic on her face, was evident, and startled him. But he was relieved when her question was presented. Oh...don't worry about it Haven... he said gently. Their not any of our songs...I wouldn't do that to you. Louis said honestly, hoping her mind could now be at rest on the subject. Giving her a once over, he smiled that smile that only she could get out of him. You look beautiful. He told her and looked around the ballroom, before his piercing eyes returned to her. Is Clark here with you? Louis nodded at her answer. Well since he's tied up...he wouldn't mind if you danced with an old friend, now would he?
Offering Haven his arm, Louis lead her onto the dance floor. It was a slow tune. One they'd danced to in the past. As he held her close and swayed to the rhythm, he was reminded of late nights, (back when they had been an item), how would turn the music on low, light a few candles, and move their little sofa and coffee table to make a little dance floor, and the two would dance to a mix tape he'd made for her or vice versa. How he missed those days.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Haven was not unaware of the look the girls she (literally) dragged Louis away from were giving her. She didn’t care about some childish crush they had. Yes, he was cute-more then cute-and a singer but she had actual pressing matters to deal with rather then trying to get in his pants. She was already dealing with enough and wanted to head off any disasters if he chose a song that was a bit more intimate then might be good to be played around Clark. It’s not like Haven would be able to hide her reaction from it. That would prove a disaster if Clark realized it. Even if she could lock away her love for Louis songs always stirred up emotions. Be it something he sang or another song; a memory with him or a memory with someone else. Music was a powerful weapon.
When he said ,he didn’t plan to play any of their songs to set out a sigh of relief. Her whole body relaxed as both hands went to grasp at her clutch again. ”Thank you,” was the only words she could utter. After all she had acted like a crazy woman dragging him along the floor. She cleared her throat and looked at the floor before he mentioned how she looked beautiful. A light blush went along the back of her neck as she smiled tensely. This is why she didn’t want him here in Hope Harbor. Just that one compliment and the look he gave her was not what she wanted to have around while her relationship with Clark was tense. It muddled up all her thoughts. ”Thank you. You are looking quite handsome yourself.” Handsome, sexy, desirable...so many words to describe him but most inappropriate for how their relationship currently stood which was rocky to say the least. She wanted to fix things and try to move on the best way possible but it was so hard.
When he asked about Clark she looked towards the stairs where he had ascended not too long prior. She tried to keep her expression as blank as possible but it was hard. The past two months were really starting to weigh on her mind and heart. ”He’s talking to Jude Winslet’s father about joining their firm. Apparently Mister Stevenson is retiring and since Jude will take over that half of the business that will leave an opening for a lawyer.” Her lips pressed together as she turned back to look at him with a weak attempt at a smile. At first she thought about saying no to the dancing. That just seemed like dangerous grounds. Her eyes scanned his face to get a feel for him. Only when he assured her it was just as friends did she loop her hand through his arm. ”No, I don’t think he would.”
As they made their way to the dance floor she saw Jesse and met her eyes. She used them to motion at Louis before she ended up in his arms. The hand not clasped around his rested along his shoulders while she kept a hold of her clutch. With his arm around her waist there was no room left between them. Her head turned to the side slightly so it was faced away from him to put a couple inches between their faces. She could feel his breath as it traveled down her neck which caused a shiver to go down her spine. It felt good being back in his arms like this. For a brief moment she felt like this is where she should be and to just tell Clark it was over but then her logical side crept in. Louis had hurt her and you didn’t do that to someone you supposedly wanted to spend the rest of your life with.
Haven turned her head so she could look towards him. Their faces were dangerously close. ”Did you have a good Christmas with your parents? I got their card but it felt weird calling to thank them.” Weird because he was home. What if he had picked up the phone? That would be a very awkward conversation and mainly because of a little note his mother had slipped in there. Haven hadn’t been too happy about it but she couldn’t play Kaya. She just wanted her son to be happy. She was him hurting over the fact that him and Haven weren’t together. Her idea of helping would’ve been bad if Clark had seen that note instead of Haven. once over that topic she gazed at the stage before she looked back at him. ”Are you excited about playing tonight?”

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS MEmichael had arrived in hope harbor less than a week ago, having left miami right after christmas. he mom had been upset when he'd told her that he'd be spending new years elsewhere, and didn't even know when he'd be back. but that was typical. michael hadn't come alone, though, at least. fiona and sam had joined him, which always made things easier and usually faster. not everyone liked talking to him, especially guys, so that was often fiona's department. she certainly had a way with them.
since arriving, michael had gone around town, questioning random people about the strange happenings. unfortunately, no one had been in a talkative mood, so his time had been wasted. right then he figured this wouldn't be a quick job. he had met once with the person he'd been hired by, jude winslet, but it had been brief and unrevealing. the one good thing, however, was the invite he'd received to the charity ball. michael enjoyed his alcohol, plus, he'd be surrounded by the very people he needed to question. even if he didn't get far with it whilst there, maybe they'd get a little more used to him and open up some. after all, he was only trying to help.
michael drove the rental car to the address he'd been given, having to search a bit for a place to park. he was pretty late, evidently. well, that was ok, he wanted to blend in. he'd come alone, thinking it better that the three of them not be seen together all the time. that would only arouse more suspicion. both had been annoyed by this, fiona because she loved a good party, and sam because he loved his alcohol and his women. michael got out and headed inside, studying his surroundings as he went. he smiled and nodded at random people, one hand in his pocket as he walked around. he decided to do some mingling before he went in search of mr. winslet. waving down a waiter, he thanked him and took a champagne flute, sipping at it as he walked around. michael wasn't interested in starting up a conversation, just listening. he liked doing that, especially at social gatherings because a lot of gossip usually went on, particularly when women were present.
michael smiled to himself, knowing fiona would resent that comment. but it was true, all the same.

The charity ball. Donating money to the public school? That was unheard of but the school must really need the money to be asking the public to get some funding. Not only was it a charity ball but it was also New Years Eve. Where better else to go than to a charity ball to go to when you needed a place to go to for New Years? It’s not like there was some big party in town that everyone could go to for the night. The only down side was the side to it was the not being able to drink thing so he could drive home. Seeing as they had gotten Natalie to babysit Camilla there was no need to worry about her for the night. Natalie was a good church going girl and he had faith she would be good around the girl.
By the time they were finished getting ready Natalie was over and he thanked her for babysitting for them. He made sure to leave a list of things that she’d probably need to know about Camilla, allergies, no medications ect ect. When he helped Sage into the car he walked over to his side and got in. It had been a while since he’d worn his tux so it was weird being in it. With one last look at the house knowing Camilla was in good hands he pulled out of the drive way and headed over to where the ball was taking place.
Once parked he walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for Sage helping her out of the car. Her dress might not be something high class that these people but she was still going to be the most beautiful woman at this ball. A smile played on his lips as he took her hand in his and walked up to the mansion with her. Shaking his head he looked over to her to see the smile in her eyes. They might not be rich like everyone else here but they got by. Keeping her close when they walked in he handed his jacket to the person taking them and then watched as Sage offered her jacket and purse at the check in. Getting their numbers they then headed into the ball room.
They both took flutes of champaign when they came their way. Slowly sipping on them they went around and talked with a few people. Even stopping by to thank Mr. & Mrs. Zarkarian for allowing them into their beautiful home. Once done with the drinks they set them down on another tray and walked over to the middle of the ball room to dance slowly while they watched everyone else.
When the song ended he placed a kiss to her lips and watched as she went off to go interact with people in the room. His eyes landed on Jesse as he looked around for someone to talk to. The young owner of Mack’s Auto. Grabbing another glass he made his way over to her and smiled. “Jesse, how are you doing?” Better get to the chase. “I don’t want to bother you on your day off but I was wondering if you could come to the station on Monday? We have a few cruisers that decided to stop working for some reason. Would you mind coming to check them out?” Mentally he slapped himself on the forehead. Why was he being so rude? Hearing the music he offered her his hand. “Would you care for a dance?” Why not have fun while here?

Post by LOUIS ARDEN FITCH on Feb 16, 2013 15:46:10 GMT -5
Louis looked in the direction that Haven's eyes went when she spoke of Clark. He could tell there was some underlying tension there, but he wouldn't pry. It wasn't his place and as much as he didn't want her to end up with Clark, if that was the path she chose, than he would support her. Since the conversation with that guy at the bar, Louis had determined that he wouldn't try to be anything more a friend to her and see how things played out from there. There was definitely wisdom in what that guy had to say. Louis needed to give Haven some time and space to come around.
That's a good thing though, right? I mean if he can get in with the Winslets? Louis asked, when Haven seemed a little less then enthused about the whole thing. If Clark got a job with the Winslet firm, he'd be close and maybe they would actually get married. Louis has sensed there was some to-do about the date and all that.. But again, he wasn't going to comment. It wouldn't do himself or Haven any good to mention anything about it. If Haven wanted to talk about it, she would.
Louis smiled when Haven accepted his invitation to dance and lead her to the floor. Though dancing brought two bodies in close contact with each other, Louis was careful not to get too very close. He was truly doing his best not to make her feel uncomfortable. It felt so good to be dancing with her again though. To have her in his arms and be able to hold her, even if it wasn't with the affection of two lovers. Louis could read the signs that Haven was doing her best not to feel awkward about this. But after a time, he could tell that she was becoming more relaxed.
I did. They were happy to have me there finally, and not have to do it a hotel or a little apartment where I was staying temporarily this time. Louis smiled. Nice to have a good old fashioned home cooked meal too. He enjoyed his mom's turkey and stuffing and her home made apple and blueberry pies, which couldn't be rivaled. And you? Did you and Clark spend Christmas together? Louis hoped it was an enjoyable holiday for her.
Was he excited to play tonight? He wouldn't use the word excited exactly. Really, Louis wasn't sure what he'd describe the feeling as. Happy, maybe. Playing his music made him happy. Sharing it with people made him even happier. Louis was excited for Haven to hear him live though. Sure she'd heard him live before, at little coffee shops and restaurants. But nothing on a larger scale, like this. It would be a first. Of course, just like any time he'd played when she was around, he would be playing solely for her. But he would have to do his best to hide that fact somewhat. Louis didn't want to cause any problems for her. Yah... he replied after a time. I just hope security can keep all these crazy women off the stage...and I would appreciate if they all kept their undergarments on their person...Don't need any panty tossing at a nice classy event like this. Of course Louis was half joking, because he didn't really expect that anyone would do that her. But one never knew for sure. Some women were just...insane.

Post by CAMERON AIDEN MATTHEWS on Feb 17, 2013 0:56:02 GMT -5
[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, width: 420px; background-color: #A9B1B9; border: 10px #1B2836 solid]it‘s amazing, you save me
Cameron was glad with how the past couple of months with Kylie had been going. And he was extra relieved meeting her parents had gone well. Of course it helped that there was so much in general to talk about. Between them wanting to get to know both him and Haven plus the two of them wanting to get to know Kylie’s parents. That had been a crazy afternoon into the evening. Clark even spoke up as well though not very much. It seemed like the two were happy enough of him but he wasn’t sure. He could normally read people, mainly because of his job, but her parents were tough to read. Yes, they were smiling but they seemed a bit tense. Perhaps because of the long flight plus jet lag and getting to know two people who already seemed large parts of Kylie’s life. While he hated to toot his own horn, he felt like they were already both entwined into one another’s lives just without the actually living together. Yes, her relationship with her newfound sister took precedent but he was ok with that. He had known from the first day they met that she was the reason Kylie came here. Just because they got together before that point didn’t mean he became center stage. And that was fine. With relationships you couldn’t always be your partner’s only focus. That could get overwhelming.
Cameron did focus on Kylie plenty. Truthfully he did focus primarily on her but aside from work and a handful of friends, he didn’t have much in Hope Harbor. There was no family here for him. Kylie was sort of integrating as his family along with Haven. You know, that crazy cousin you stayed far away from with her. He liked it. He loved having her around. Whenever they couldn’t spend a day together he got anxious and would try to talk to her in whatever way he could for however long possible. When he could finally be near her again he felt like he was ready to burst with the different emotions. Real manly, huh? Cameron didn’t care though because he was in love. He couldn’t contain the looks he gave her from loving to seductive. He always wanted a hold on her even if they just sat there. Oh without the clothes was a bonus but just because you had made love didn’t mean you had to do it all the time now. The way her body felt pressed against his was welcoming. No matter how cheesy people may find it he honestly felt like it was love at first sight. Now he was in love as well.
After Kylie’s jacket was handed over he adjusted his own while he watched her. Since that night a little over a week ago he found it harder to contain himself around her. Though her gown wasn’t low cut or had a high slit he still found it amazing on her. It still clung to her body just right that it drove him crazy but that was the physical front. On the emotional front he felt overwhelming pride to be here with her. She was sure to turn heads with her beauty and she was here with him. Not some other Joe-Shmo but him, Cameron Matthews. He truly felt like the luckiest man around. ”You look breathtaking.” He stepped to her and pressed a kiss to her lips before they left the entranceway area. Being around all these people would prove difficult in keeping his hands from wandering. Oh well, he’d just focus on her beautiful face instead.
He pinched at her side gently, playfully, as he tried not to laugh. ”Hey! Don’t make fun of my accent. I will have to get you back if you keep it up.” As he kept his amused smirk on his face he walked beside her before he held her close. His hands clasped around her back while he pressed his forehead to hers. Sure Cameron danced with plenty of other girls before but tonight he really didn’t want it to stop. The speeches and the countdown wouldn’t be fun because he could have her delicate body pressed to his own solid form. Hopefully they got many more dances like this in the future, preferably one that was extra special and monumental. But that was way down the line and much too premature to think about now.
A look of joy settled over him. ”Hmmm. Well you did find your sister so I can see why you feel that way,” he teased. Of course he knew she meant happy in this moment(again with trying not to toot his own horn but not being able to help it) but he still felt like poking a little fun. When she came towards his chest, Cameron’s arms pulled tighter around her as he breathed in her floral scent. It was intoxicating every time he got near her and breathed inwards. He moved to press his lips in a kiss at the top of her head before he just rested there. His eyes closed as he just drank in the moment of the two of them. No one was bothering them which he was thankful for. This moment was too perfect to ruin with words so instead he pressed a kiss to the top of her head every so often as the string band played from the stage.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Haven widened her smile as she nodded at Louis. Sometimes fake it until you make it was the best option available in certain situations. In her case pretending everything was fine with Clark. ”Yeah I hope so. I think he likes working for a big law firm, though.” Actually Haven knew he liked it because people fed into his ego. They built him up and made him feel like he was a big shot. Which, he was a great lawyer, but he did falter in other places. Things she was starting to notice more and more. First with Kylie coming here and comparing him to Cameron(yes, Haven did that). Then when Louis showed up and placed more doubts it made it worse. Still she wouldn’t just break off her engagement, especially to go back to someone else. What kind of person did that make Haven if she did that to Clark?
While she danced with Louis a million thoughts ran through her head. Last time they did something to try to be just friends it had ended horribly. They were both wrecks and fought like they used to. Except this time they didn’t really make up. Louis begged for her back in a sense. Sure he told her he wanted her happy but she wasn’t an idiot. He had the same tone the last time he begged for her back. The same emotions were evident in his face which was so frustrating. That and seeing his stupid tattoo made things worse. It just proved Louis’ side of things that he still loved her despite him walking out. How was that even possible? She was heartbroken. She had gotten her own in hopes that whenever he came back she could “prove” to him that she still loved him. Now all it did was remind her of something wonderful that had been lost and the moments that would never happen for them. Still, she couldn’t bring herself to have it removed.
They used to have more then their love. They had friendship. Haven truly felt like they could have that again if they tried. Just they couldn’t be alone in anyplace secluded. Public places with a lot of people around were what they needed until they gained their footing. The fact they were someplace very public is the only reason she started to feel at ease while she danced with him. Not like she had anyone else to dance with currently so it wasn’t so bad.
Haven let out a breath of air that almost sounded like a chuckle as she listened to him talk about his parents. ”When you go back on tour you should try to come home to them more. I know you’ve never been really...open with them but I do know when you’re gone they miss you. I’m sure they like going to see you but nothing beats being home and having that home cooked meal you seemed to enjoy so much.” Haven may not have in depth conversations with his parents anymore but when they did run into one another she could really see how much they hated him not coming home. From what she could gather he hadn’t visited at all since he left that night though she wasn’t a hundred percent positive. When the conversation turned to her Christmas she thought it over. She hadn’t told him about Kylie yet, actually. ”Actually, him and I spent Christmas with my sister, her boyfriend and her parents that adopted her.” A tender smile formed on her lips. Haven was becoming more and more glad each day that her sister had found her. The two were becoming really close like real sisters were. Haven did keep the issues concerning her love life to herself but that’s because Kylie was so happy in her relationship. Haven didn’t want to ruin that happiness with her stupid drama. Haven couldn’t remember if she even told Louis she knew she had a sister somewhere out there before. She was pretty sure she hadn’t since she didn’t really talk about her foster care days let alone anything connected to it. It was all too painful for her. They had one intense conversation about it and then that was that. But haven couldn’t remember every little thing said that night.
Haven laughed at Louis joke about the women. Yes, there were plenty of women here who were excited to see him perform tonight. She actually was as well. Hopefully Clark wouldn’t read into it too much. He hated Louis’ music and he didn’t even know that was the guy Haven had dated in college. If he knew that then surely every cd she had bought would be gone when she got home from work one day. ”Oh would you rather have a bunch of boxers thrown on the stage? Wow, I didn’t realize that much had changed in four years.” Maybe it was good they had been together during his tour days. The thought of women throwing themselves at him tugged at her heart. Is that what he felt whenever he thought about her being with Clark? It was painful. ’No! I can’t allow it to hurt,’ she thought to herself. Allowing herself to feel any bit of emotions towards him wasn’t good for her or their friendship. Apparently she had to figure out a system so her mind never went there.
Suddenly a funny thought crossed her mind that actually made her laugh. Haven brought her hand that held the clutch up to her face as she shook it. ”I’m sorry I just remembered something.” Haven drew air in and out of her nose to calm herself. ”I was going through some old photos the other day to show my sister and I found the ones from Blake’s New Year's party the first year we were together. Remember, when nearly everyone was trashed. Especially Nate. Oh man I thought he was going to piss himself when he saw Blake and Timmy standing over him asking if he was ready for more.” Probably not the most appropriate place for this conversation but the talk of underwear while at a New Year's event have made her think of it. ”I never knew a guy could own more sex toys and devices then a woman until I met dear old Blake.”

[/color] Jude could’ve technically gotten his own invitation to the Charity Ball but he came with Sydni instead. It was important because she was the step in mayor at the time. His father thought it wasn’t appropriate that he be her date but obviously his father never really cared about others. It was always him and his needs first. Even tonight when he should be spending time with Jude’s mother he was holed up with some Clark person about him joining the firm. Which was another sour note. His father wanted him to take over Stevenson position which would mean he’d help run the firm. Truthfully he wasn’t sure he wanted to do that just yet. Jude enjoyed just practicing law, not the business aspects of it.
The most business he liked to handle was the ones he chose. Like hiring someone to finally figure out what was going on around here. No one seemed to care. He didn’t feel like they were doing enough to figure everything out. For heaven’s sakes! Natalie Owens had been kidnapped and then the mayor was kidnapped. Didn’t anyone care about those things? Or was it just because they didn’t want to have people in the police force know the reason driving what was going on. So Jude had taken matters into his own hands. Of course he hadn’t revealed everything just yet. He had to talk to Sydni first because a big chunk of things involved her family. Just she hadn’t been available to talk much so they couldn’t discuss things. Hopefully they would be able to talk soon and she wouldn’t be upset by what he had done.
After he walked away from some people he noticed Michal had come here. He let him inspect the place for a bit while Jude got something to drink. After about twenty minutes or so he decided to approach the man he had hired to look into things. Of course he really couldn’t tip anyone off to that. He smiled falsely as he moved around the couples dancing and went to stand next to the man and nodded at him. ”Michael. How are you enjoying our little town?” It was a far cry from Miami that was for sure.

Post by DOMINIC ELI BANES on Feb 17, 2013 22:55:08 GMT -5
dominic had nearly finished the first glass already. of course, they weren't very big by design, which was a little annoying to him because he'd just have to grab another one sooner. it was probably just a ploy to keep people from drinking too much. dominic sighed, realizing he was over thinking it. he did that about quite a few things nowadays, mostly just to try and keep his mind off of other, more unpleasant things.
he had just finished his drink, when he felt a slight push on his back, then a squeak following it. dominic turned around, already smiling a bit before he even knew who it was. he wasn't the type to get upset about those sorts of things, even if someone had spilled a drink down the front of him. dominic was just a laid back guy. his smile widened into a grin when he saw who it was.
dominic wasn't real close to willow, but they'd both lived in hope harbor their whole lives, had a kid and were single parents. having something in common definitely had helped them spend a bit of time together, though nothing planned. just random meetings. still, dominic was happy to see her. she looked well, he thought. "hey willow," he greeted. "naw, don't worry about it," he reassured, shrugging it off. it really wasn't a big deal to him. dominic laughed at her joke. "i know the feeling.." he replied, giving her a friendly wink.
he nodded in agreement, a smile still on his face. "yeah, it's nice to be out. don't wanna go completely hermit." dominic laughed, placing his empty glass on a passing tray. "so, how's madison?" he asked. she was an adorable little girl, though he had to say he thought everleigh more so. of course, there was some bias there.

Post by KYLIE BRIDGET STOWE on Feb 17, 2013 23:18:12 GMT -5
Kylie was not ignorant of the way the Cameron eyed her once her jacket had been removed. She had this dress herself, designed with the express intent and purpose of driving him wild. Kylie was the kind of girl that wanted to make her boyfriend proud, so she always dressed classy and was sure to appropriate for the occasion. The dress didn't have a low cut neckline, or a sagging back because Kylie had never been into that. She thought it was a bit...loose, to show off one's cleavage and all that. In her mind it was to be saved for the bedroom, not given to every person that walked by. But this didn't mean the dress wasn't extremely sexy, because it was. You really like it? Kylie asked, after he'd kissed her so tenderly.
Kylie giggled and flinched a bit when Cameron pinched her gently. Hey! she exclaimed, pushing his hand away instinctively, as she laughed. Kylie was EXTREMELY ticklish. Sometimes she didn't mind being tickled, other times, she hated it. It just depended on where she was and what she was doing and of course who she was with and who was tickling her. In this case, Kylie really didn't mind, because it was Cameron and she didn't care what anyone thought and he hadn't gone overboard with it, like some people did. The most annoying thing to Kylie, was when people began to tickle her and no matter what she said or did, they REFUSED to stop. It was just rude and aggravating!
Kylie closed her eyes contentedly as Cameron's forehead rested against her own and she was held safely in his warm embrace. It was all so perfect, she never wanted it to end. Oh now really...you know I mean you, and me...us...Not that I'm not happy about Haven. Kylie opened her eyes long enough to stick her little pink tongue out at him, then retracted it and closed her eyes once more, as she imagined they were the only two people in the ballroom and the band was playing just for them. Are you happy? She asked, looking at him once more. Kylie knew the answer, but she just wanted to hear him say it. She wanted to hear him say how happy he was and know in her heart, that she was the cause of his joy, just has he was the cause of hers.
As they danced in the silence of romance, Kylie was aware of the occasional kiss he placed atop her head and how he would breathe in her sent. She could feel the reactions of his body (since they were pressed so closely together) at each action. Kylie's head rested against his chest now and a blissful smile graced her gorgeous features. She could hear Cameron's heart beating a soothingly rhythmic melody. There was just something about hearing his heart beat that made her even happier. How she loved this man. With everything she was and had and could be, Kylie Stowe loved this man.
Kylie couldn't help but think of the future at this time. She knew she wanted to be held like this in his arms forever, even though that was impossible. But she could be his forever and that was expressly what she wanted. The way he'd made love to her, the looks he gave her, the way he kissed her, touched her, spoke to her. Kylie didn't want him to ever be that way to another woman. Kylie didn't want to act the way she did towards Cameron to another man. If for some terrible reason they ever were to part ways, Kylie knew she would experience grief that couldn't be expressed. But she swiftly pushed that from her thoughts, because that wasn't going to happen. It was to be "Kylie and Cameron, forever. I love you. Kylie breathed. She didn't make a habit of saying it. Not because she wasn't constantly feeling it, but because she didn't want it to just become one of those things she just said to say. Like "hello" and "goodbye". They were common place, expected. That's not what she wanted "I love you Cameron" to be. Kylie wanted it always to be special. Placing her hand on the back of his neck, she looked up at her Cameron, and kissed him sweetly.

Post by LOUIS ARDEN FITCH on Feb 18, 2013 14:01:01 GMT -5
Louis could see right through Haven's facade of happiness. Clark wasn't the passionate lover that she craved for. Even if Louis and Haven had never been, he knew she wouldn't have been truly happy with this Clark fellow. She was a spirited woman who needed freedom to do whatever she felt she could or wanted to. Clark seemed to be a stuffed shirt. Lawyers didn't break the rules, unless their client was paying them to do so. They didn't know how to have a good time and just be chill about things. Not that, that was what life and relationships were all about. But it certainly did help things along. Well...I hope he gets the job. He said more for Haven's sake than Clark's obviously.
Louis nodded at her words. I will certainly try. It wasn't that Louis was not close to his parents at all or that he didn't love them. Because he did very much. And he was very close to them, especially his mother. They shared a very special relationship. But Louis had never been one to show his hand emotionally. Haven was the only one he'd ever let delve that deeply into his soul. She was the only one who him in his truest form. And that's the way he'd always thought it should be. Louis had always said that no one should know you better than the person you love the most. Well the person he always had and always would love the most, was Haven. Nothing could change it. He would spend the rest of his life as a bachelor if he couldn't win her back.
Louis cocked his head and a curios expression came onto his face Your...sister? his brows furrowed. How'd you come to meet her? Louis questioned with sincere interest. He did very vaguely remember Haven mentioning that she was pretty sure she had a sister out there. But, as close as they were, she's really only opened up about her foster days once. It had pained Louis then to hear how she'd been treated and everything she'd had to go through in her young life. He had promised to shield her and protect her from such things for the rest of his life and she'd believed him. And then he'd gone and left her like everyone else. And he didn't even know why really. Was it revenge for the things she'd said that night, spite perhaps? Maybe. But Louis couldn't say for sure, because he honestly hadn't been in his right mind that night, and couldn't truly remember his thoughts or emotions.
Louis shook his head emphatically. Uhhh...no....no I would not prefer boxers. He laughed. To be quite honest, though he never talked about it and he wasn't at all prejudice person, Louis was a bit of a homophobe. He tolerated and was kind, but that was about it. And what could you expect from him really. Louis Fitch was about as masculine as they come. Not only in persona, but in build, bodily structure and all that. OH...that night was such a trip. He laughed, glad that Haven had mentioned with fondness, a time when they had bee together.
Louis smiled as she laughed. His eyes taking her in, his ears perking up at the sound of her melodic laughter, and his heart jumping as her own eyes danced. Many times, Louis had been the cause of that great big smile and beautiful laughter, the cause of that dancing glow in her angelic eyes. Louis wondered if Clark ever made her laugh, if he ever took the time to dance with her, if he really truly appreciated this woman and everything she was. He hoped that Clark did....for Haven's sake.
The song ended and everyone clapped and then the band struck up something a little more upbeat. Grinning, Louis got that usual mischievous glint in his eye. Shall we give it a go? Louis and Haven may not have been spectacular dancers on their own, but together they made a pretty swell team and though they had never taken swing lessons, they could hang in there. Louis guided Haven through the steps, laughing. He hadn't had this good a time since they'd been a couple, really. As he lead her into a spin, Louis caught sight of the tattoo on her back that she'd tried to cover over with make up. It was new...at least, new to him. He was absolutely certain she hadn't had that when they were together. Because he had every square inch of her beautiful body memorized. Every birth mark, every freckle, ever curve, he knew by heart. Had she gotten that shortly after they had bee parted, as Louis had done with his own. It was somewhat funny to him that she had done that and he had as well. They had always thought so much a like. Louis wanted to ask her about it...but he held himself back, at least for now, and put his mind back in the dance.

Post by HAVEN MARGARET STOWE on Feb 18, 2013 17:41:51 GMT -5
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Whenever her conversations with Louis turned to Clark, Haven seriously got uncomfortable. It didn’t help that she was having a tense night. How did that keep happening? When Louis first came home her and Clark had just had a fight so she was upset then. The second time she was more thinking things over but now they were talking after she had yet another fight with Clark. That really wasn’t a good thing to have happen because that’s why her willpower started to crumble. More and more Haven was starting to think that God had some sort of twisted humor when it came to her life. Just as everything was going well he threw this curveball her way and then a second one going the opposite direction! Haven was losing her mind at this point in time.
Haven sighed. She knew she had no right to tell him what to do, let alone make suggestions, but it was really difficult. She shifted around in his arms as she looked up and down over his face. ”You can take this with a grain of salt but do more then try, Louis. Phone calls and letters aren’t always enough.” She paused before she said something that would cause a fight. Honestly he was lucky his parents were around. Haven had no one. Sure Kylie was around now but there was no one in her life. Clark’s parents were cold people and not welcoming of Haven. All of that was very much the opposite of how the Ardens had treated her. ”Just do more then try. They can’t always go see you.” Who knows what the future would hold for his parents. Haven didn’t think he should waste a moment of time even if he kept the emotional side of herself locked down.
A fond smile formed as she nodded. ”Mhmm.” She giggled at the look on her face before she took in some air and told him everything. Kylie’s showing up at her house a couple weeks before he came home, how she had been searching for a good ten years and that their mother was dead. Then she went on about how Kylie moved in with her and Clark, how Cameron was such a sweetheart and how meeting Kylie’s parents was interesting. ”This past month has been weird but kind of nice.” Haven paused as she looked over his shoulder. ”She’s really opened up to me, especially since moving in. I’ve told her what I can but it’s hard. Her parents and fashion line are in Chicago not here so,” Haven shrugged while her back stiffened. ”So I don’t really expect her to stay long. She says she wants to figure out a way to split time but it won‘t last. Her job takes her all over the globe and I won’t hold her back from that.” There was a tinge of sadness to her voice. She tried to keep the focus on Kylie when saying this but honestly both situations were really similar. She had wanted to add ’I learned my lesson from before,’ at the end but that would be cruel. They were getting along so well that she didn’t want to do anything to ruin this moment.
”Well that’s good to know. I’d hate to think I was just a cover up or experiment all those years,” she laughed out. Despite her joke she knew he definitely was not gay. There had been many a times they sought their fill of each other several times. Not even a gay guy could fake it that well. That and he had readily covered his eyes when Blake and Timothy came out with nighties on. That photo was a classic. Nate’s face when he woke up just sent everyone onto the floor crying with laughter. ”I haven’t spoken to anyone in forever. I know Nate got married and Blake went to Florida to work at some PR firm which isn’t surprising. I think he has a girlfriend but this was well over a year ago so anything could’ve happened.” Truthfully Haven was the one who stopped contact. Somehow moments like this happened with recounting memories and they’d ask if she’d heard from Louis. She could only handle that question so many times before she broke.
When the slow paced song ended, Haven figured he’d want to be done. After all he had gotten close to her which he seemed to keep wanting. But when he asked her to keep dancing she gazed around for Clark. There was still no sign of her fiancée anywhere, so Haven agreed. This one provided to be more fun then anything else and fun is what they needed, not intimate like the previous song. As he led her through the dance, Haven tried not to drop her clutch or trip over her dress. Some of the faces Louis had on were priceless. Not really goofy but just ones full of joy which she liked. Her own laughter came out full-the first time she had really, truly laughed in years. At the park with him he had drawn out some light laughs but nothing real special. Now, here, he was reawakening her playful side. Haven had locked this part of her down so much that when it was unleashed she couldn’t stop. Not just the laughing but dancing with Louis as she sang some of the words which she was terrible at.
Her fiancée and ex-love were night and day. Clark was like the night. He was calm, liked knowing exactly what would happen and wanted to have things covered up that weren’t meant for others to know. Louis was like the daytime. He was full of life, brightening her day in a split second and filled her with the warmth of his light. He had no issues showing them as a pair off to the world. Haven never felt like she had to change herself for him as he always loved every bit of her. When she was spun back into his arms she gripped those limbs of his tightly as she leaned her head back and laughed. ”Ok you, my good sir, have dehydrated me. I need water and now.” When she parted from him she had to put both hands on her clutch and grip tight least she reach for his hand. As long as she could keep her hands occupied then she should be find for the whole night.

whatever you want here--} ❂ ❂ ❂ ❂ ❂ Willow giggled and shook her head slowly as she listened to Dominic. He was a funny guy and she felt bad that he had so much going on. It was tough, especially on a new parent. She could relate after all. He really did need to get out more often. Then again, so should she.
"Well I'm glad you're not locked up in there. Need a friendly face around here and you could do with a little sunshine even if it is artificial." She teased, gesturing to all the lights in the room. "People are gonna think you're a vampire if you spend all your time in the dark." She was teasing of course.
"Madison is doing wonderful. She's running around like crazy per usual. She's begged me to go to the park like four times this week. I don't think she realizes how cold it is out." She shook her head slowly, amused at her daughter's antics. She really took after her father. God she missed him sometime.
"How is Everleigh?" She assumed she was with her mother but didn't want to bring it up, not sure if that was a sore subject or not. "She getting big since the last time I saw her? Its been awhile. Maybe we'll have to get the girls together again, they always seem to get along well." Except Madison was starting to ask awkward questions.
Well it would be good for all four of them to hang out. Sometimes you just needed a friend around to understand and listen. "Maybe we'll make a playdate or something. What's Everleigh like to do nowadays?"
