It was nice being able to get out and talk to other people and getting to know them. The better you knew someone the more you could find out information from them later. It would be nice for when he had to get some information and report back to Moscow. A smile came to him as Jesse greeted him in kind. “It’s good to hear you’re doing well.” He gave her a smile. It was always good for cops to get out into the community anyways. It allowed them to get to know the people they were protecting a whole lot better. When she asked about the family he grinned with pride. “Well as you can tell Sage is doing amazing; as for Camilla, she’s just growing up so fast. We’re hoping to give her a sibling at some point.” Yes, they were trying for another kid.
He was thankful she didn’t mind him asking her a question while she was off duty. He laughed when she asked the obvious question and then he gave her a shocked expression. “Oh crap well I think we figured out what the issue is! We forgot to put in gas….what’s gas and where does it go?” It felt nice to be in a teasing and playful manner. When he got serious a sigh left his lips. “We even replaced the batteries in the cars. There might just be something knocked loose in them but it’s better safe than sorry, right?”
When she accepted the dance he took her hand gently in his then led her to the dance floor. Hands moving to her waist he pressed close against her and smiled as they danced. “So spill, why is the beautiful and stunning Jesse here alone? Is there a punk I need to beat up?” Yes, he was going to be her friend and help her out if a guy ever broke her heart. Then again if someone broke her heart they were more than likely to not be found alive.
As the ruckus started he was pulled out of his thoughts about how she was an amazing, smart, attractive and sweet young woman. Any guy who stood her up or broke up with her would be an idiot. A frown came over his lips when Jude came up and interrupted their dance. “I guess I do need to go deal with this?” He looked over in enough time to see Clarke throwing a punch at Louis and then Louis throwing one back in self defense. “Oh great this is going to be a very long night.”
Looking into Jesse’s eyes he held her close. “I guess I need to give you a rain check on this dance? Save at least one for me tonight, okay?” Pressing a kiss to her cheek he smiled at her then took off to where Sage was waiting for him. She pulled out his handcuffs from her clutch and he took them in hand. Making his way through people he sighed. “Break it up, break it up!” Shaking his head he got where Clark was he shook his head. This was not going to make the hosts happy. Looking up he could see the look on Daniel’s face like he was about to murder someone. Looking back at the crowed he pointed to the wall. “Anyone who was a witness to what happened I want you to stand over there and tell me exactly what happened to cause Clark here to assault Louis.” Leaning in he pulled Clark up and put his hands behind his back then slapping him in the handcuffs. “You’re under arrest for the assault of Louis Fitch.” His eyes turned to look at Louis. “I’m sure you do want to press charge right?”

AND WHILE YOUR HEAD IS SPINNINGHOLD TIGHT IT'S JUST BEGINNING* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
jesse was aware of the fact that she needed to socialize more, but it could be hard to do so, between running the shop, dealing with her parents, and then her new relationship with landon. she wouldn't give up anything, though, just so she could have a better social life. jesse noticed how big his grin got when she mentioned his family and thought it very sweet, since his pride in them was obvious. she smiled and nodded when he mentioned sage. she was beautiful and looked especially nice tonight. "oh wow. that's awesome," she replied, hoping it would happen for them. jesse wanted kids eventually but at this point it wasn't even really on her radar.
she laughed harder as he played along, but tried to recover her composure quickly, though a few giggles still escaped. jesse cleared her throat, though, and was able to stop when he became more serious. "hmm.." her expression immediately turned thoughtful as he mentioned the batteries. "i can't say without looking at them. and you're right, it is," jesse agreed. it was always better that way.
jesse followed his lead to the floor, feeling jayce's hand move to her waist as he pressed close to her. she couldn't help thinking about landon, and how much she wished she was dancing with him. it was nothing against jayce, he was a really nice guy. she just preferred her man, that's all. she smiled back, enjoying herself as they moved, laughing at his questions and shaking her head. "he's not a punk, and he certainly doesn't need beat up," jesse replied, still smiling. "he's actually traveling right now." it was sweet of jayce to offer, thinking how lucky sage was to have him for a husband.
she looked over her shoulder as she heard raised voices, then a crash as someone fell backwards and into something. jesse turned back to jayce right as jude walked up and told him he was needed. she nodded, smiling a little, though a bit of a worried expression still on her face. "sure," she agreed, caught a little by surprise when he kissed her on the cheek. jesse didn't have much time to think about it, however, because jude was telling her haven needed her. right then she heard haven herself calling for her. she barely had time to thank him before she ran to where her best friend was, a gasp escaping her mouth as she came up on the scene. haven's sister was already there, making sure clark was ok, while someone was bent over louis, who was out cold. unsure of what to do, jesse went to haven's side. "haven, are you alright?" she asked, though that sounded like a silly question, since she looked to be ok. louis and clark were both being taken care of, by doctors, it seemed, so there wasn't much else she could do.

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS MEmichael wanted to end his conversation with jude as soon as possible, considering how many people were around. normally he wouldn't have such private talks in front of a large group of people, though they were being pretty vague, so that helped. he didn't want anyone becoming suspicious, however. michael glanced at jude, noticing he was very adamant about him not talking to the two of them at the same time. he took another sip as he listened about natalie and the pastor. "i see. that makes it a little more complicated, but nothing i can't get pasted," he replied, thinking it unfortunate that he wasn't very cooperative. of course, he ran into people like that all the time. michael thought it seemed a bit strange that the pastor was behaving so, like he had something to hide. maybe he did.
"isabella helstrom, got it," he said, nodding. michael wasn't sure, however, that going to jude's office was the best idea, especially if they were seen. "the next town over would probably be best." he was just throwing his opinion out there, of course, since it was up to jude in the end. "i'm not surprised," michael replied, frowning a little. he felt bad for the girl, knowing it had to have been very traumatic, from what the newspapers and jude had both said. he made a mental note of the girl's name, and other little clues he'd gathered from their conversation. michael would think back on it later, maybe picking up something he hadn't before.
michael continued to sip at his drink as he walked around a bit. he was considering leaving, but there was a chance that someone would strike again, so he'd better stick around a bit longer. right then he heard a commotion coming from the other side of the room. michael made his way over, but didn't get involved. there were plenty of people helping as it was, and if he decided to as well it would only bring needless attention to himself.

Avery mixed in with the crowd at the ball but just for a few moments before they disappeared. No, Avery couldn’t stay for very long and didn‘t even talk to a single person. No dancing with anyone tonight and Avery and Skylar had important business to attend to. Just it was figuring out how to get the first part going. Skylar thought they had something figured out but then that was derailed. Avery had not been too happy about that. The scowl on their face was evident since they had to figure something else out. Avery waited with the car while Skylar assessed the situation. If it wasn’t for the fact that tonight was so damn important Avery would have been angry.
But Skylar came through
Skylar said they had an opportunity to take their original path since all the staff left their areas to go to the ballroom. Apparently there was a fight going on. Avery chuckled. Oh how easily these little puppets were amused. Two grown men fighting and they were glued to it like a new movie at the theater. Skylar was out there maybe a minute later and the two went to the trunk. They each grabbed one end of the bundle. Alone this would be impossible to carry but the two of them carried it with ease. There was an old service stairwell that the two went up. There were no lights but Avery and Skylar made it up there before the staff started to mill around. Avery found the room they had preplanned to get everything ready in. It was only about twenty feet from their target. Avery’s jaw tightened as they ordered Skylar to their position. They were behind schedule and that did not please Avery.
After they smoother out their hair, Avery went to the little table and grabbed the small video monitor. If Skylar was smart they would’ve placed the camera before this had started. And Skylar was. At least that person got one thing right tonight. Now it was a waiting game. Waiting was something Avery was not good at when already in a bad mood but there was work to be done. Avery immediately went to the task at hand as midnight was fast approaching.

Skylar was in trouble and they knew it. When Skylar had come here a few days ago to plan everything out while they helped set things up, they had the perfect plan. The staff were told not to use any of the back stairwells as there was no reason for them to go upstairs. Then tonight when Skylar got here that all changed. apparently they had more people show up then they planned so some of those people were milling around upstairs. They couldn’t all use the grand staircase so they had to use some of the back stairwells. When Skylar told Avery, Avery flipped but Skylar promised to fix it. While doing their job Skylar looked around for a fix.
They didn’t need to look hard.
All of a sudden one guest was punching another. Then the other guy was punching back. Tables were breaking, some woman was screaming and a crowd was forming. Even the staff hired to help tonight were rushing out. Skylar took that opportunity. They stopped their job, called Avery and was out the door maybe two minutes after the altercation started. Skylar was following Avery back inside and they were up the stairs as quickly as they could. Skylar had already put everything they would need in the room when they first arrived at the house.
With a nod, Skylar headed back downstairs. They switched on the remote camera as they walked past it and went back to their post. A little bit before midnight they’d head upstairs to help Avery with one last thing before they headed into the basement. Wouldn’t everyone be surprised this evening...

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Haven looked into Louis’s eyes as he promised to try to see his parents. She saw he was being honest but after everything...Haven wanted to stop doubting the things he said but it was so hard. Back then she would have believed every word that came out of his mouth and did. Now everything he said was taken with a grain of salt. ”Good.” She was trying so hard to make whatever was going on between them work but how could you when every time you looked at them it killed you a little inside. It felt like there was this invisible, emotional rift between them. A lot of it was Haven’s doing. She did this with everyone in her life now.
Haven chuckled as she leaned back from his body slightly. ”Oh really? Because a girl who is has two tattoos, likes feathers in her hair and leather jackets is elegant? And my violent outbursts are ones of great manners.” She pushed playfully at his chest. Her eyes scanned the room for her sister. ”Her name is Kylie and she’s…” Haven pointed in the direction of her sister and Cameron. ”She’s over there dancing with her boyfriend Cameron. She’s two years younger then me but at least we haven’t had any major sibling squabbles.” Haven really couldn’t get a read on Louis. He was acting nice and not pushing anything like the last two times they had interacted. Well, mostly. He’d add in a comment here and there but nothing majorly alarming. As long as Haven was aware of everything and didn’t give in like last time then they would be fine.
Her gaze went to the right as she tried to steady her nerves. She didn’t come here tonight to fight with anyone. That was why she told Clark things would be resolved after they were done, either in the car or once home. She hated to fight at home because Kylie could potentially hear but that sometimes helped her keep a level head. When Louis placed his hand on hers she looked at him while he spoke. Quickly, as if fire was on them, she pulled it back. Her tone was soft and one filled with hurt, not anger. Haven had moved from anger long ago. ”She already knows. She knows about my adoption being dissolved, being bounced around the system and having our break-up being hard on me. She knows everyone who’s ever cared has left me and that I don’t want to be there ever again.” That’s why she didn’t give her whole heart to Clark. If she kept most of her feelings to herself then if he ever did anything to hurt her, it wouldn’t be so bad. ”Can we just move on? I don’t want to fight and I feel this is where this will end up.” Haven could already feel her own temper mixing with her feelings of sorrow which would not be good.
Haven honestly felt like she was stuck in quicksand watching the two men before her. Who did she try to help? Clark had punched Louis first which put him in the wrong but then again Clark was her fiancée. Her inaction led to Louis sending Clark into a table. ”Jesus Christ! What the h*ll is wrong with you two?!“ she cried out. By now the people around them had spread out to form a semi-circle When Kylie finally came over she couldn’t vocalize the words. When she saw Louis go unconscious and Cameron go to his side is when she felt her chest squeeze and everything came out. ”I was talking to Louis and Clark came over, freaked out and punched him! And then Louis punched him back.” Haven glanced at her fiancee who was groaning on the splintered wood. ”Check on Clark. I have to check on Louis.” Like with Clark, Haven had only told her sister that she dated a guy in college and he was her first serious boyfriend but things ended which was hard. She didn’t tell him why he had left or even that he was back. Though the only difference was she had told Kylie his name and shown her a couple photos of them.
Haven went to Louis and dropped to her knees. One hand cupped his cheek while her free hand tapped his opposite cheek. The panic was evident in her voice. ”Louis. Louis wake up. I’m so sorry Louis just wake back up.” Tears sprang to her eyes a Cameron asked her how they knew one another. The look on his face was weird. ”We used to date back in college. We were catching up.” Cameron’s face went pale which was even weirder but she brushed it off. Clark was shouting for her which led Haven to close her eyes in thought. She really couldn’t stay hovered over another man when he-her fiancée-was hurt. After she opened her eyes, her voice dropped to whisper as she looked into Cameron’s eyes. ”Please, Cameron, make sure he’s alright. He’s-it’s very important to me that he’s alright.” With one last pleading look she pushed herself to go over to Clark who seemed to be getting arrested.
When Officer Blackwell-she couldn’t remember his first name for the life of her-asked if Louis wanted to press charges part of her hoped he said yes. Haven avoided answering about what happened but turned to Jesse and dropped her voice. ”He say me talking to Louis-” Louis cut her off and interjected with, ”You mean your ex-boyfriend.” Haven went pale. How in the hell did he know Louis was her ex? ”You left your d*mn photos out in the living room. Wasn’t hard to put two and two together when there when I saw one of you two kissing.” Shame washed over Haven as she looked at her sister. She hadn’t shown Kylie that photo but it was in the box. Haven looked away before she looked back at her friend as she lowered her voice. ”I messed up again Jesse.” Haven made sure to say that so low that only Jesse could hear. She still hadn’t told Kylie everything about her ex so Jesse was the only one she could talk to at the moment. ”I’m going to go talk to Clark.”
Haven moved away and went to Clark stood. The two immediately got into a fight about what had just transpired. She thought he was being unreasonable while he said he had every right to be pissed. Haven didn’t want to deal with it so she walked away again and leaned against a nearby wall to rub at her temples. Everything had turned into one big mess since Louis came home and she honestly had no idea who to blame. Him or herself.

Post by LOUIS ARDEN FITCH on Feb 24, 2013 22:33:42 GMT -5
Louis cocked his head at her. His eyes burrowing into her soul. Two tattoos? He looked rather confused I....I thought you just had the one...the infinity one, on your back. He pointed. Looking down, he smiled a little. It's nice. Louis told her. So would it be too impertinent to ask what and where the other one is? Louis knew they were both new. Or at least after him. If Haven had, had any tattoos when they were still together, he would have known for sure. She couldn't have hid it from him, nor would she have wanted. And by the way...yes...I think on the right woman, leather is elegant and sexy. Louis gave her a wink that said she was indeed the right woman.
She looks very nice. Louis said about Kylie. She was quite attractive and she Haven share many of the same features and attributes. Including the way they moved. It was amazing how even though they had been separated since they were babies, they could still be so much alike in their movements. You can definitely tell you two are related.
Look ba-...Haven... Louis began, retracting his own hand. You can't expect the people you love to be there 24/7. And I know that's not really what you're asking...But that's what it sounds like...Anyways...just...It's like I said. I don't think after spending nearly half her life looking for you, she'd just up ad abandon you....And if she does.... he looked down, knowing that this next statement would implicate himself. then she wasn't worth it in the first place. Louis wasn't speaking in a judgmental tone or any such thing. It was sober and encouraging. It showed he was only trying to help her He hoped she'd understand that. Alright....I won't say anything more about it. Louis agreed. He didn't want to fight either. He just wanted to enjoy the rest of their conversation, no matter how long it lasted.
When Louis woke up, his head ached, his nose burned, his eyes were still watering and blood was beginning to dry on his face. He knew his nose was definitely broken and judging how dizzy he was, he probably had a concussion. Louis looked around, trying to get his eyes to focus. Everything was a furry of confusion and the noise from the voices felt like a piercing pain. He saw Haven standing near her fiancee. She was terribly upset and he wished there was something he could do for her. Louis prayed she was mad at Louis and not him. And then he looked the other way and saw the guy that had been dancing with Haven's sister standing over him. As his eyes focused, he realized who it was. The guy from the bar....WAIT! He'd been talking about Clark? Clark was cheating on Haven?! What an ASS! Louis was filled with a new rage, but he had to control himself and now was not the time to talk to this guy about Clark and Haven Help me up. he demanded and started to push himself up, despite the massive pain in his head.
Yah I'm her ex boyfriend....what's it to you. Louis spat as he neared Clark, with the help of Cameron. Someone pulled out a chair and told him to sit, so he did. He was too dizzy to stand any longer. Looking at the police officer he went with his gut reaction, which was to press charges against Clark Well of cour.... But he stopped and looked at Haven. If she did love Clark, it would hurt her more than it would hurt him. Shaking his head in the negative he spoke. No...It was just a misunderstanding. Someone said that an ambulance had arrived and paramedics came in started to put him on the stretcher. He started to object, but there was no real reason to. It was obvious he needed medical attention. There was no sense in trying to be macho right now. He'd just have to admit defeat this time.

Looking at Leila in her dress a smile played on his lips. She looked perfect and there was no one else he would rather be with than her. This girl was so perfect he was sure that he wasn’t worthy of her. A kiss was pressed to her cheek at her question and he offered her a smile. “Because I’ll tell you later my love.” Taking her hand in his he grinned as he stroked the back of her hand with his thumb. Oh that was going to eat at her until he told her what he was going to have to tell her. Somehow he always knew which buttons to press and which ones to not. Like when she was in a bad mood and he knew how to calm her down. It was the best thing in the world to know that you were the only one alive who could calm her down.
When they finally departed a smile formed on his lips as he looked over her once more. Oh she looked so beautiful. They might be one of the people taking advantage of one of the many bedrooms in this house.
Reaching a spot on the dance floor he took her hand in his and placed his other hand on her waist as they started to dance together. This night was going to be so perfect. His hands slowly moved so both his arms were around her middle and a smile was plastered on his lips. “I do and I hope you know how much I love you too.” Leaning in he stole a quick kiss from her as they swayed right there in their spot. When she pressed her own kiss to his lips he was in shock but kissed her back tenderly.
As they danced in silence he tried to figure out how he was going to tell her what had just happened. With a sigh he looked into her eyes as his hand came up to stroke her cheek. “Can I ask you something?” His hand cupped her cheek as he slowed their moves a little. “How do you like this house?” It had been in their family for a very long time and it was a home to many people. Without a second thought on letting her answer his previous question he continued on. “My grandparents just signed it over to me so it’s ours.” He slowed them more as he looked into her eyes for her reaction. Better tell her here where she wouldn’t yell at him in front of all these people. Everything was going well with Leila as they danced and talked. He couldn’t help but be happy with what was going on. This whole night was going perfectly well.
WRONG!
When the sound of someone getting punched and the sound of breaking wood filled his ears he turned around towards where the noise came from to see what was going on. His grandparents were elsewhere talking to other guests. He stopped dancing and took Leila’s hand as he headed over to the area while Jayce worked and put Clark into handcuffs.
Arriving at the scene his eyes scanned the area in enough time to see all the damage that both men had caused in their childish spat. Over what mind you? A damned woman! Rage coursed through him as his hands balled to fists looking at the destroyed property. When the medical personal came in he walked up and shook his head. “You can attend to their injuries after they both tell me what just happened here.” When he heard Louis say he wasn’t going to press charges on Clark his attention turned to Jayce. “If he’s not going to press charges then I’m going to press charges on both of them.” His hand balled into a fist as he pointed to the damage on the bar and the destroyed table. Both of these boys fighting over a damned woman and destroying things that were over three hundred and fifty years old. His body shook as he looked at both of them. “Get them both out of here now and then fix them up. You’ll both be hearing from my lawyers.” When the butler came in he growled at him as his anger finally let loose. “CLEAN THIS MESS UP NOW!” Yup, he was pissed.

Post by CAMERON AIDEN MATTHEWS on Feb 25, 2013 1:02:13 GMT -5
[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, width: 420px; background-color: #A9B1B9; border: 10px #1B2836 solid]it‘s amazing, you save me
”Oh there is so much you don’t know about me. Even fifty years from now you won’t know everything.” When it came to what he was feeling, Cameron’s mouth had a tendency to run away with itself before he had time to think on things. Like when he blurted out that he loved her Christmas Eve. Of course in that case it hadn’t been a bad thing but in general it could have been if she hadn’t loved him back. Since that night the two of them let loose a bit more. Sure they had their playful moment before but now they didn’t hold back at all. Before he had been afraid of her getting the wrong idea and it being awkward. She could still tell Cameron if she didn’t like something but since they had already crossed that line he wouldn’t feel weird after. Now he could make a joke about it and move on. ”I do think so. After I give up this check I think we should sneak away.” Cameron knew he needed to be here but he really didn’t want to spend their firsts at various town events. Their first New Year’s Eve should be someplace fun, not someplace boring and stuffy.
Cameron moved to push some hair back as he chuckled. ”Well I guess I should trade in this Southern slash New England accent mix and learn to fake an English accent.” Instead of moving his hand away from her hair he twirled a lock of it around his finger and tugged on it playfully but gently. He was glad Kylie had decided to come with him tonight. He knew she was busy getting everything ready to launch her line, still getting to know Haven and now Brooklyn’s birthday coming up. Which Oliver apparently had a party to attend and from what he was told by both the British doctor and Kylie he had no choice but to go. That out to be a great time. Not. But Cameron would do it because it was important to Kylie and Brooklyn has always been good to him. Even lent him this suit for free tonight.
”Well good. But we should still turn that phone off in case they decide to call. We don’t want either of us to accidentally answer.” Their voices were kept low to keep the conversation between them but a very amused grin to think anyone could walk by and hear them stayed on his face. That along with the fact he was generally having fun right now he just couldn’t stop grinning. Some of the muscles in his face were starting to ache a little but it was a very welcome and wonderful ache. When with Kylie he usually had this and wouldn’t give it up for anything in the world. When first meeting her, one may not think she could be this fun and playful but that was only because she had a modestly elegant style. That didn’t deter Cameron at all. In fact it’s what drew him in even more. Plus, she could be a surprise with how readily she gave him a deep kiss here in the middle of the ball room. That was one of many things Cameron loved about her. All the little ways she surprised him that is.
Cameron never indulged in liquid courage to help him with things nor used it to deal with his stress. Even now he twirled his drink as he tried to think of how to word things and shrugged. ”I just know the were fighting when we left so I didn’t know if you had seen if she was in a better mood.” Like better with dancing with another guy. Cameron sipped at his drink. He really didn’t know how to tell Kylie this. Would she be pissed that Cameron had kept something this important from her and more importantly, from Haven? The very same Haven shouting for them. Wait, what? Cameron turned in the direction of the girl’s shouting after some loud noises and groaned. This didn’t sound good at all. He was right behind Kylie but got caught up in the crowds. ”Would everyone move! I’m a doctor for heaven’s sakes.” At first he thought lark was unconscious(which he didn’t care) but then he glanced and saw that Clark was fine. Groaning in pain but fine. He looked in the direction that Kylie was pointing to where Haven kneeled hovered over a man. Cameron dropped to his own knees and said, ”What happened?”
As Haven rattled off what happened he got a real good look at the guy. This...this was the guy from the bar. What the hell? As he inspected Louis’s nose and wouldn’t move his head. Haven kept telling him to wake up and the way she was talking it wa slike they were intimate. Really intimate. ”Haven who is this guy and how do you know him?” When she told him Cameron’s mouth fell right open while he went ashen white. Oh God. Oh God Cameron was in it real deep now. That meat Haven was the girl he just left for his career and who he still loved, all while she was engaged but apparently still loved him. And who’s fiancée was cheating on her except Louis hadn’t known that until Cameron had said something. Now…oh God. That was all that went through his mind. Cameron looked straight into Haven’s eyes and saw everything he needed to know. This man had been right in the face Haven was still in love with him. ”I’ll do everything I can Haven. I promise.”
As she walked off he went back to trying to wake Louis up. When the man’s eyes started to open Cameron stepped more into his view. ”Hey there Louis you gave us all a scare. Can you tell me what’s going on? Feeling dizzy or pain or both?” He tried to keep a straight face but it was hard. Especially as he watched everything fall into place in Louis’s mind. He dropped his voice and hissed, ”Don’t cause an even bigger scene,” as he stared straight at the man. Cameron clasped a hand under Louis’s arm and helped to heave him upwards. He felt the man’s body waver so he didn’t release him. And then Clark had to open his trap. Cameron didn’t want to deal with this. ”Hey! Both of you shut the hell up right now! One you both just ruined a charity event and two you are causing someone I f*cking care about undo grief. That is not a good place to be with me.” When Cameron swore you knew you had really pissed him off because he rarely, if ever, swore. He was made at Clark for starting this whole problem and, honestly, a little mad before now that he knew Haven as the girl Louis hurt was upsetting. No wonder she seemed so messed up. He watched Haven walk away and he looked towards Jesse and Kylie.
When the paramedics came he led Louis in that direction. Cameron looked to the two. ”Why don’t you go check out the other guy? I’ll get Louis all set up here.” Cameron moved to strap Louis in and looked around. He had a deadly serious look on his face. ”Do not tell Haven a damn thing do you understand? Not tonight, not tomorrow or not ever. And you may want to stay clear of her sister. I can already tell you she’ll want your gonads on a platter right with his when I tell her everything later which I will.” Cameron wasn’t trying to be cruel but he couldn’t have Romeo here causing anymore trouble there was already enough caused. When he heard Daniel say he wanted to press charges he sighed and stepped forward. ”Ok but this man has to go straight to the hospital so have cops meet the ambulance there. He has a head injury and needs to leave immediately.”
Once all that was taken care of Cameron rubbed at the bridge of his nose as he walked away. He went over to Kylie first. ”I’m going to call the hospital to give them a heads up. Then, once you’re done with your sister, can we talk? Now, after this, I really have a lot of things I need to tell you.” His serious look he had with Louis never left his face though now it wasn’t cold and full of panic. Now it was just blank. Kylie was going to be really pissed now...and Cameron couldn’t do anything about it. He pressed a kiss to her temple before he walked away and called the doctors on duty at the hospital.

He knew how it’d eat her up with wanting to know what it was he had to tell her. ”That’s not fair. You cannot tell me that you want to tell me something then not tell me.” She acted like she didn’t want him to grab her hand before she gave in. That was about all she could do in retaliation to him not telling her whatever information he had since she couldn’t exactly pinch him or poke at him while around the people that they were. It would be rude. Leila was slowly learning the rules. At least not acting childish in public was easy enough to follow.
When first together this life of Daniel’s completely freaked her out. She was used to something so different. Now she was getting used to it and doing everything she could to fit into “high society.” Leila loved Daniel too much to do anything to ever embarrass him or his family. That would break her heart as he was already doing everything he could to make her happy and help with the transition. After all in a twenty-four hour time span she had found out she was pregnant, got engaged and found out the her family helped Daniel move all her things while she was MIA on Christmas. Then she quit her job and reworked all her college courses. Everything was overwhelming and Daniel saw that. He did everything he could to help keep her sane. He really was her rock and Leila was so thankful to have him in her life. She never wanted to let him go.
Leila grinned up at him. ”Hmm I don’t think I do. Why don’t you tell me how much?” She giggled as he kissed her. Her hand tightened against his but not to cause any pain, just show she cared. She leaned her head forwards so her temple rested against his cheek. Soon enough they’d be doing this at their wedding as man and wife. That thought made her giddy with excitement. She kept a large smile on her lips as she kept her head pressed to his but it softened as he changed up how they held one another. Leila pulled back and breathed in through her nose as she ran her hands up his arms and then put her hands around his neck. ”Of course, babe.” Her thoughts on this house? She glanced around. It was a lovely home but that was an odd question to be asking. She opened her mouth to answer but he cut her off.
”Excuse me?” Disbelief was evident in her tone. A strangled chuckle left her lips. Oh he was good. He knew to tell her with people around so she didn’t let her hormones get the best of her. He would hear about this later. ”Uh are they sure? This is their house and we have our own home already.” Saying their home was still a bit weird but Leila was getting used to it. As they continued to talk they barely moved. Only the commotion from behind her is what caused them to stop. She gathered her skirts up in her hand as she moved along with Daniel through the crowds.
When her eyes fell on the scene they went wide. There had been a fight in the middle of the event? She tried not to get worked up about it for the sake of the pregnancy. Plus everyone else seemed to be emotional enough. Leila breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth slowly as Daniel’s temper clearly rose. ”Daniel…” she said lightly as she stepped closer to him. When he talk about the lawyers she flopped her hands against her dress in frustration. She moved to Jayce before she went to anyone else. ”Do you need us to go fill a report out tonight or can we go in the morning? Because I can personally tell you which one would be the safer bet.” She loved Daniel but he was in no place to deal with this tonight. Once done with him Leila checked on each of the men and then the woman in the purple dress Jayce question. Around that time is when the butler came in and Daniel blew up again. ”Ok you and I are leaving. Now.” Leila apologized to the poor butler and told him she would come find him later in the evening. She also instructed him to put the pieces of the table in the sitting room so a restoration specialist could see if it could be salvaged. Hey, maybe she could run this household after all.
Leila then gripped her hand at Daniel’s elbow. To others it may just seem sweet and soothing but Leila gave it a squeeze as she led him along to go upstairs. Down one of the hallways where the guests weren’t technically allowed, Leila opened a door and led the two of them in there. ”Was it real necessary to yell at Peter? He wasn’t the one who did anything.” Her hands rested on her hips as she glared at Daniel, really not pleased with him at the moment.

...even fifty years from now... Had he really just said that? Kylie felt as though she was living in the dream world. Who was this wonderful man? And how in the world could she ever be truly worthy of him? Those two questions genuinely puzzled her. But she certainly was not complaining. If Cameron felt that she was worthy of his affections, she must have been doing something right. Right? Though she was jumping for joy inside, Kylie smiled gracefully on the outside, her whole face glowing vibrantly. He still wanted to be with her, even fifty years from now. And a hundred years from now? Kylie asked softly, eye him with desire.
Kylie leaned her head on his chest once more. She was so very blessed. How was it possible? Cameron truly loved her and she truly loved him. And the beauty of it, was that, they didn't even need to tell each other constantly. Sure, it was nice to be able to hear it or vocalize it. But it wasn't necessary because it was just something they both knew. Kylie had read books about this kind of feeling and seen interviews with other couples and heard her mother and friends explain it all. But experiencing it was something totally different and much more wonderful than she could ever have imagined. Many people described this sort of a relationship like a fairytale. But to Kylie, it wasn't a fairytale at all. Because fairytales weren't real, and this, what she and Cameron had, was as real as it got.
Mmmmm Kylie nodded. But won't they be looking for you? She wanted nothing more but to go back to Cameron's, rip his clothes off him and get busy. But he had other responsibilities and as much as she knew he hated it, there were times when there were things that had to come before what Kylie wanted. Fortunately, they were few and far between and didn't usually take very long. She was a patient girl and didn't mind waiting. Kylie's motto had become "If it's worth having, then it's worth waiting for". And that seemed to hold true in her life. At least it had with Haven and her career. And now with Cameron, but not in the same sense.
Hey! Kylie raised her voice a little when Cameron tugged on her hair. She gave him a playful little slap, giggling, then gave him a a quick peck on the lips. Now listen to me Mr. Matthews... She put on her southern accent again. Did I say that I wanted you to trade in your accent? No, I don't believe I did. she shook her finger back and forth at him. So don't be talking such stuff and nonsense...We southern belles don't like "stuff and nonsense". Kylie loved to tease about his accent. But only because she found it so completely and irresistibly adorable. Those Limeys can just take their little accents and head back to the mother country. Kylie waved a had dismissively, then gave him a prudish smile, before succumbing to laughter. You are cute...and so's that accent...It has to stay. She said firmly but still smiling. Because without that accent...well you're just not you and without you, we're just not us...and that is a Shakespearian tragedy I tell you. Of course this was all just one big joke. Especially since there really was no way for Cameron to trade in his accent. But Kylie loved how they could take something that was totally silly and funny and make it sound serious, while still knowing they were playing. That might have been to complex for some relationships. But not for Kylie and Cameron's.
Oh yes... Kylie said in a mock serious tone. Phones are strictly forbidden. The house phone is to be unplugged, and the cell phones turned off and the hatches battened down and we, my darling, shall not be interrupted for anything. Kylie did truly want an uninterrupted night with Cameron. And since they didn't really have solid plans for the next day, they could stay up all night doing....well whatever it was that they wanted...and sleep together all day. It would be romantic and fun and relaxing and everything that Kylie wanted right now.
Kylie heard Cameron's explanation to her question. She was about to ask what Haven and Clark fighting had to do with why he didn't like Clark, but before she could vocalize the question, Haven was screaming for her. After Kylie had checked up on Clark and could see that Louis was being looked after. She approached her sister, who looked very upset, and put her arm around her. Hey... she said in a soft sympathetic tone. Are you okay? Kylie had heard the exchange between Clark, Haven, and this Louis guy. She wasn't exactly sure what the history was between Louis and Haven, but it was pretty clear that they had been an item once and from the look in Haven's eye and the way she had rushed to Louis first, told quite bit about what they had been to each other, and how Clark wasn't really her first priority. And who could blame Haven really. Clark kept her on a tight leash, or at least tried to. The guy was a jerk to her most of the time. Kylie didn't know what Haven saw in him, but she had never wanted to interfere. Haven knew herself and knew what she was doing. And she was the kind of girl that, once her mind was made up, no one could really change it.
When all the madness had begun to subside, Kylie saw Cameron approaching. She nodded numbly at his words. The serious expression on his face was like nothing she had ever seen from him. And to be quite honest, it terrified her. What was going on? Cameron knew something he wasn't telling her. But why? They could tell each other anything! They both knew that. So why was had he kept this from her? Kylie felt a little better when he gave her a kiss . His kisses always put her more at ease. But still the stress of all this was overwhelming. She couldn't imagine what this was doing to Haven. Taking a deep breath, Kylie sunk into a nearby chair and rubbed her forehead. Life...it was crazy...wonderful, awful, amazing....life.

Louis heard Cameron's question, though it was a bit muffled as all his senses seemed to be a bit jumbled up for the time. He'd really had his bell rung. He should his head a little bit, seemingly trying to clear it. I uh...yah...Both. He managed to get out. His breathing was staggered because of the intense pain in his head. And then the realization hit him, that this guy was the one from the bar. You....you're the guy from... But before he could finish, Cameron cut him off, telling him not to make a bigger scene. He was right. The time and place was not here and now. There would be time to sort this all out later. And they would be sorting it out!
Despite the fact that Louis had been about to call Clark a "Lying, cheating, piece of crap" he stopped short when Cameron yelled at them. The police officer began to ask questions, which Louis readily and willingly answered. He'd been about to say he wanted to press charges. But that was just revenge talking. And revenge wouldn't get Haven back. So he decided he was going to "Kill Clark with kindness" and said he wouldn't press the charges. But as they so "no good deed goes unpunished", because now the Zakarians were going to press charges against both of them. Yep, he'd be shipped to the hospital, cleared and sent to jail and then there'd be the court dates and Louis would probably have to pay out a boat load of money to keep it out of the media. No, not for his sake, but for Haven's. He did't want her name wrapped up in a ball of scandal. Especially since the media always made more out of things. They'd probably say Louis and a bar room brawl or some such nonsense. People loved their celebrities, but they loved the scandals even more.
Louis sat back against the propped up part of the stretcher and listened to what Cameron was saying. Was he insane. There was no way Louis was gonna let this thing with Clark slide! Well what the heck am I supposed to do Doctor Genius? Louis spat. He's cheating on her...On Haven! he spoke in loud whispers through his teeth. He can't just do that and get away with it...I thought you were gonna find some way to tell her. Yah Louis was hot. He was so hot. He coulda decked this Cameron for not dealing with this thing already. Haven should have been told, or shown, or whatever it took already, and this guy wanted Louis to keep his mouth shut about it. So what was the proposed plan. Alright...I won't tell Haven...as long as you promise you're gonna get this dealt with and soon. Louis said, putting his finger in Cameron's face. You couldn't really blame the guy for being upset. And on top of that, he had a broken nose, a concussion, and probably needed stitches. That could really mess with someone's head.
As they began to put Louis into the ambulance, he started to speak Wait..wait! Before we go I need to see Haven. He pointed the woman out to a female paramedic, who went to retrieve her for him. When she came over, Louis looked up at her. Haven...I'm really sorry...I didn't meant to punch him...It was just a reaction, y'know...You know how I get when I'm angry. Anyways...I hope Clark's ok...Please forgive me. Louis did feel really bad that this had all escalated. But he hand't pushed it there, at least not this time. No this time, Clark had done it by completely flying off the frickin handle. Yah, maybe Louis shouldn't have fought back. But he was pretty sure any man in his place would have. He just hoped Haven wasn't mad at him.

[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, width: 420px; background-color: #A9B1B9; border: 10px #1B2836 solid]it‘s amazing, you save me
Cameron really couldn’t tell what Kylie was thinking after his little comment. As always, she was cool and collected. Eventually he’d get her thoughts out of her. All he had to do was poke the right places. He watched every movement of her face carefully. At least he could tell she was thinking over his words. When she responded he could tell there was an edge of significance along the edges. He looked straight into those crystal blue eyes of hers. He didn’t break it for anything at all. ”A hundred years and beyond.” Cameron’s thumb rubbed at her temple before he moved it to run a trail halfway down her jaw line then her neck and arm until their fingers laced. Cameron never said anything lightly, including this moment. Who cared about being cautious with scaring her away. He had a feeling she wouldn’t be driven away that easily.
Cameron knew he was playing with fire laying it all out on the line this soon. Now a days people would wait years before committing so in depth. They may not be walking down the aisle but he was committing to her. He didn’t even think about it as it just felt right. He’d do whatever he could to make her happy and life easy with her. It wouldn’t always be easy, though. Life never was. Things always happened that would cause strife. All that mattered is how they got over those little and sometimes large bumps together. Thankfully they hadn’t had any yet except for her finding her sister. They made it through that just fine, though. That was a little bump.
”Nah they only care about the check. As soon as I hand it over I can leave. Unless you want to stay. Either is fine with me as long as you’re happy.” He didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable plus he knew she had looking forward to tonight. Still he really just wanted some along time with her. They could only ever be at his house because he disliked being around Clark enough and he didn’t want to deal with him the morning after. And with his job it was hard to have her come around to his place. He had a rotating schedule so he knew what days were possible but she was also getting her life back on track now that Haven was found. He didn’t want to do anything to derail it further.
As she went off in a tangent in her fake Southern accent Cameron couldn’t help but laugh through the whole thing. She tried so hard and it really was adorable. He cupped his face with his hands. ”Ok baby I love you so take this with a grain of salt. Don’t quit your day job. You have no career in stand up comedy or impersonations.” He continued to laugh as they stood their in the middle of the dance floor. He could tell some people wanted them to move but he really could care less at the moment. ”Ok I won’t lose my accents. I mean we don’t want them writing some terrible movie about our tragic love story. They might get actors who can’t act their way out of a paper bag to play us. That would be an even bigger tragedy.” If they acted like this together for the rest of their lives then it truly would be a good life. On full of tenderness, laughter and passion. ”Well then we shall lock our cell phones up after we turn them off. Maybe even take the batteries out so they can’t track us down.”
Cameron was a little glad for the reprieve. This whole mess with Haven was distracting Haven. Maybe once she saw how bad things really were with Clark she wouldn’t be mad for what he kept form her. Maybe she’d see his side and they could figure out what to do together. Perhaps Haven would believe Kylie if she told the elder Stowe girl that Clark was cheating. Sisters always believed one another, right? They had to because they were family. Then again family could screw you over at any moment. Cameron knew that very well. His father did it all the time by lying to him.
Cameron sighed as he looked at the back of Louis’s head. There was no visible cut and he really couldn’t tell if there was bruising. He pushed some of the guy’s hair back to try to inspect the area. He could feel the bump on the back of his head. ”I want you to get a CT scan and be observed at the hospital for a few hours. I’m not working tonight but I’ll call ahead, make sure you have a private room.” Now that he knew his name Cameron knew this guy was a pretty big deal fame wise. He only knew because people were talking about the guy Louis Arden that was performing and by the way some people were acting with taking photos with their phones this was that guy. Cameron was always more of a country guy so that’s why he had never heard of Louis. He tried to act like being near him wasn’t a big deal at all. Not because of his celebrity status but everything else going on. Cameron’s own temper was flaring even more. He already knew the next couple of nights were going to be torture at Haven’s house whether Clark was there or not. It would end up being best if he avoided it all together.
Cameron did not appreciate the attitude Louis was giving him. He knew back at the bar that this was sensitive. His hand propped against the highest point of the stretcher. ”Hey! Kylie just spent half her damn life finding Haven. I was not going to swoop in and ruin it by telling Haven. Or even Kylie. Haven isn’t exactly forthcoming about sh*t in her life and Kylie has been working real hard to get Haven to let her in. And now I know why she doesn’t want to talk to us about anything.” If Louis wanted to act this way he could fight fire with fire. ”You left her. You’re part, if not the entire, reason she refuses to let Kylie in. I have to hear Kylie talk about how she wishes Haven would just give a little bit more. You do not get to tell me how to handle my problems when you’re the cause of part of it.” His nostrils flared. Cameron had every right to smack Louis right here but he wasn’t a cruel man. He filled his lungs with air and held his breath for a few beats before releasing. ”I’m telling Kylie. Tonight. I was going to do it before but you boys had to play UFC and get yourselves arrested. And I’m also telling Kylie about how you broke her sister’s heart so don’t expect to win any brownie points with her. As far as I’m concerned neither of you really deserve her.” While Cameron felt bad for the guy at the same time he was angry at both men. Haven was clearly upset which was upsetting Kylie. That just didn’t work for him.
Once he left the ballroom he found a sitting room with no one in it. He locked the door and sent a text to Kylie telling him which room he was in and to knock four times so he could let her in. After he got off the phone with he hospital Cameron tossed his tuxedo jacket off and collapsed in a chair. His fist went to press against his mouth as he stared off at nothing in particular. Just in the vague direction of the floor until Kylie came back around.

"A hundred years and beyond." That was music to her ears. Kylie had faith and trust in her Cameron that just couldn't be measured. Sure people would probably say that she was too trusting too early. That they were both moving too fast and needed to slow down But Kylie didn't think so. Things felt right with Cameron. She was a peace with him and most importantly, she was happy with him. Kylie couldn't explain why, but she just knew things were meant to be with Cameron. And she was pretty sure my his comment and the way he was caressing her cheek at the moment, that he felt the same way. This was no one sided romance.
Kylie smiled brightly. Oh we can most certainly leave. She smiled. They had gotten their few dances, which was really all she had wanted. Cameron would finish his business and then they could go and spend a romantic new years eve with a few surprises, together. She could hardly wait. Kylie stuck her tongue out at him when he teased her about her fake accent, then nodded. You're right...I'll stick to fashion and leave the accents to you and Doctor Welcott. Kylie kissed him softly. Well I don't think we'd be in much danger of them writing a tragic love story about us....Since we plan to be together for 100 years and beyond....But when they do make "The Worlds Greatest Love Story" into a film...they had better have Hollywood's best on the job. she winked at him, grinning lovingly.
Kylie laughed about the cell phones You bet....we can't have anyone knowing where we are. She knew the way they were talking and acting now, they were in for quite a night. It was wonderful that it wasn't really lust that drove them to want each other so vigorously. But really, it was just the pure "weight" of their ardent love for one another.
Kylie as quite anxious, but trying not to show it. Though she was sure it didn't have anything to do with her and Cameron, she was still a bit afraid of what he had to say. But she didn't want Haven to catch on, and Kylie was very good at hiding emotions when she needed to. So she pushed it all aside and went to get Haven a her coat so she could head to the police station. Do you need me to come with you? Kylie offered. She knew Cameron needed to talk to her. But there would be time for all that later. He would certainly understand if Haven needed Kylie to go with her.
Kylie's phone buzzed and she checked it, finding a message from Cameron. Excusing herself, after she had assured that someone was accompanying her sister, Kylie went to find Cameron. Going to the door he specified, her hand shook lightly as she lifted it to knock on the door, 4 times as instructed and waited for him to open to her. When he did, she walked in, giving him a weak smile. Cameron...what's wrong? You're making me nervous" she admitted and took his hands in hers. Kylie could tell he was very stressed too and that didn't help her. The usually calm, cool, and collected, Cameron seemed to be a bit of a mess.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i48.tinypic.com/4v3fjd.png);] I would lie & say that you're not on my mind... Haven couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction to her having two tattoos. Yes after he left she had gone a little wild with that department. ”You heard right, two.” The girl who swore she would never get one broke. After he left many things had changed including that. She blushed lightly as she sipped at her water. Once the glass was back on the table Haven cleared her throat. ”Thank you. That was the first one I got.” She looked at her glass as she said that. She was nervous he’d point out their saying but he didn’t. Haven threw her head back to laugh and shook it as it fell forward again. ”Um honestly I’m not sure so I’m going to go with yes.” The tattoo was along her hip bone and even with a bikini on only parts of it were visible. ”But it‘s of a dandelion with some seeds moving away. It says under the seeds ‘whatever will be, will be.’ Sort of my mantra the last three or four years.” Haven grabbed her napkin and balled it up before she threw it at him. ”You are one of the few who thinks that. You hardly go a day without having one leather item on your body so I think you‘re a bit biased.” It had always made it easy for her to shop for him.
”Before she dyed her hair you could really tell we were siblings. Same hair color though hers was a bit darker. Not by much though.” Haven liked the fact that the two of them looked so much alike. It made her realize that she really did have some family out there. She could point to her and go, ‘yes that’s my sister. Can’t you see it?’ that may be an odd feeling to have but she loved it.
Louis delivered a low blow about her supposedly thinking she waned everyone there twenty-four seven. She kept her voice steely when she responded. ”No I don’t expect that but when everyone leaves without so much as a goodbye it’s hard to believe when anyone says they care. Even just slightly.” Haven hated how that had to come out but it was the truth. Though she wanted to be friends with Louis she also knew she’d have to keep him at a distance. Not because they were exes but because she just didn’t believe he wouldn’t walk out again. Haven could’ve tried harder to contact him but what was the point when he had already flown off? Just like if anything happened with Kylie she would only be able to fight for so long before facing reality.
Haven felt like she was drowning. Her lungs felt like they were being compressed as she stood there trying to figure out what to do. Louis was passed and Clark was livid. Her hands began to shake as she felt stuck. Again. When Kylie came up beside her Haven shook her head. ”No, no I’m not ok Kylie.” Haven wiped under her eyes before the tears fell harder down her face. A couple still got past. ”I can’t tell you everything right now but I will. I promise.” Her hand rubbed at her neck out of stress. ”This is all my fault.” She looked between her sister and Jesse. She already knew Jesse would think it wasn’t Haven’s fault but really it was. She had been playing with fire dancing and joking around with Louis someplace her fiancée could see them.
A sigh of relief was let out when she saw Cameron helping Louis up. Blood was drying on his face and stained his shirt. She felt terrible. This never should’ve happened. She heard Clark start to say something back to Louis but Cameron cut them both off. She smiled over at him weakly and mouthed ‘Thank you.’ He didn’t have to do that and it meant a lot that he was trying to diffuse the situation. Kylie was really lucky to have him in her life. As Jayce asked Louis if he wanted to press charges she watched him to see what he did. At first he wanted to then changed his mind? Why? And really-how did Haven feel about that? Relief or upset? Though she didn’t get long to figure out because the hosts of tonight were pressing charges instead. Now she felt a mix of both emotions. Haven knew Clark would be fine. The firm would help him handle his part of things quietly but she didn’t know about Louis. His parents weren’t in town and she didn’t want to worry Kaya or the elder Louis. Already a plan was formulating but it all depended on one thing.
As Cameron walked by she grabbed his arm and asked him how long things would take at the hospital. He told her probably four or five hours so they could observe him. After she thanked him she released her grip. That was plenty of time. She dug in her clutch for her phone and found the number she wanted, begging for the other man to meet her in an hour. Once he reluctantly agreed Haven put her phone away. She was about the tell Kylie and Jesse she was leaving when one of the paramedics came over. A confused look came over her face but she nodded. Clark was already on the way to the police station so he really couldn’t get upset at her talking to Louis. As she heard him out her brows knitted together. He had it all wrong. Her hand went to grip his, not caring who saw anymore. It was already known because of both men‘s tempers that they were fighting over her. There really was nothing she could do to diffuse the situation. ”Louis I’m not mad at you and he’ll be fine. He just has a black eye and busted lip. I think his ego is more bruised then anything.” There was a tense chuckle as she tried to get over the awkward moment. Haven breathed in as her eyes looked over the entirety of his face while her heart pounded in his chest. ”But I forgive you for everything else.” Her voice was faint as she squeezed his hand and her eyes watered. Haven was finally forgiving him for everything-for leaving, not calling, just showing up a few weeks ago, the fighting. That didn’t mean the trust was back but she certainly forgave him for every unresolved issue that was between them. ”I‘m so sorry that everything turned out this way.”
Haven broke the grip she had on his hand after one last squeeze of his hand and turned away from him. Go have fun with Cameron ok?” Haven squeezed her sister’s arm before she walked to Jesse, not making eye contact with anyone else. ”Will you walk with me to my car?” There would be less people outside and Haven could tell Jesse her game plan.
