[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]the girl in the moon --- Alexandria, known affectionately as Lexi, smiled at Leila as she helped her friend with the finishing touches. Daniel’s cousin had helped his bride-to-be with her make-up for the special occasion and brought her the earrings Daniel had gotten Leila for a wedding present. Of course Leila was wearing them now and Lexi beamed at her. Lexi simply adored Leila and was so happy her favorite cousin had found his other half. Of course today was a little painful for her but she was burying her own feelings for the sake of her family. She hadn’t been to a wedding since her late husband’s accident but Daniel would never forgive her if she missed it. That didn’t mean it was easy at all.
Lexi excused herself so Leila could have some private time with her parents. She herself made her way back to check on the boys. Daniel was finally ready and in dire need of a little pep talk. Being a veteran of the wedding scene, Lexi did the best she could to clam his nerves. She assured him Leila wasn’t getting cold feet and that the two of them would have a beautiful wedding. She left him in the capable hands of his father, her father and best man. Finally Lexi made it to the small bathroom and locked the door behind her. She drew in several sharp breaths as she tried to ease the ache in her chest. This upcoming November would’ve been ten years since her and Ian had gotten married but almost three years ago a tropical storm took him from her. His boat capsized and he drowned. To top it off two years prior to her husband’s death she had to deliver their son who wasn’t alive. Yes, Lexi was having a rough day. In a month and a half it’d be the anniversary of her son’s delivery. That day never got any easier on her.
Once she felt her nerves calm down, Lexi checked her make-up in the mirror. She did a touch up on her red lip stick and pushed on her lashes before she smoothed out her locks. Lexi had always loved the classic 1950’s style and it reflected in her wardrobe most every day. When at work she had to wear scrubs and minimal make-up but otherwise she enjoyed going to thrift shops and antique stores to find vintage charms. While her dress was new, it was vintage inspired and went to graze just above her knees. She wore pearl and diamond drop earrings with a pearl and diamond cocktail ring on her right ring finger. The ring Ian had had made in memory of their song was on her left pointer finger for today. Her hair was pinned back elegantly with a blue gemstone comb place in it at an angle. She wore simple black peep toes that had a touch of lace and a small bow on each one. The final touch was her vintage clutch she had found just a few weeks prior which held all the essentials for today.
Satisfied with her appearance and mood, Lexi exited the ladies room. She went to the area where the ceremony was to be held and gazed around. She knew there were a few rows set aside just for family members but Lexi was unsure if she wanted to sit with her parents. She knew they’d be watching her to see if she broke down and Lexi couldn’t handle that. She scoped out the area. She recognized Leila’s family, including her cousins that had arrived, and a few people from their visits to the emergency room. She caught sight of the wedding planner near the back. Lexi had suggested it because both mothers was driving Leila crazy and it seemed to be a good idea. Finally she caught sight of some people she knew who worked at the hospital or brought people in but none she knew very well. Despite being home for two years, Lexi didn’t venture out of her comfort zone. She went to work, home and dide some errands but that was about it. She’d have dinner with her family once a week and she had some friends she went to school with but other then that, her life was mundane.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw her parents approaching with that look on their face. Not wanting to talk about her “Feelings on today” right now, Lexi casually made a turn and ofund an empty seat next to someone she knew. She smoothed out her dress underneath her and sat beside him before she smiled. ”Hi. So I know this is weird but Daniel is my cousin and I don’t feel like sitting with my family so if it seems like I’m talking to someone they’ll leave me alone. I just don’t want to deal with them until this ceremony is done. Will you be my decoy?” Lexi tilted her head to the side and smiled brightly. She wasn’t trying to pick him up or anything, she just wanted to avoid her family that much. She didn’t want to deal with the sad looks nor her father putting a comforting arm around her. It made her angry to just think about. No, she’d rather avoid it entirely.

Alexandria had already been married, despite her husband passing, so she knew all the right things to ease Leila. Sure Leila’s mom was great but there was something about having someone not related to. Plus, she was a wiz with make-up. Leila felt like she was gaining a sister despite her being Daniel’s cousin. Leila had always wanted a sister. And Lexi was so sweet. She even brought Daniel’s wedding present for her so he wouldn’t have to come see her. Leila then whispered her wedding present to Daniel and the two girls had a good squeal over it. She was saddened when she left but knew Daniel would want to see her and today had to be hard. It had to be difficult seeing someone get married when your own spouse was dead.
The rest of the time was spent with her family. Even now as she stood out back. Each of her brothers came around to wish her luck before the filed out to their seats with their mother. Oh God, this was really happening now. Leila was holding her father’s arm as everyone settled down into their seats. What kept her calm was knowing that soon enough she’d be Leila Zakarian. That thought made her feel light with joy.
The music began, a simple classical piece.
Reagan and Alex made their way out. When they reached the front the doors were reopened to reveal Leila and her father. Se felt her heart beating a mile a minute she they made their way down the aisle of their creation. An sheer ivory colored runner with crimson rose petals all underneath it. She wasn’t paying attention to anything else but Daniel. She had a soft smile on her face as she made her way to him. She could already feel tears threatening to spring out but she swallowed them away. When they reached the front, Leila tried her best to focus on the pastor as he asked who was giving her away. When her father answered he pressed a kiss to Leila’s cheek and whispered he loved her in her ear before he handed her over to Daniel while Leila gave her bouquet to Reagan.
Leila could finally hold Daniel’s hands but she could only sneak sideways glances as Pasto Owens started in on how amazing it was to be here on such a special day, Valentine’s, to see two people so clearly in love getting married. She only half heard him as he asked the maid-of-honor and best man for the wedding bands. They were doing something special where the rings were placed in a small velvet pouch. The pastor said a blessing over them then requested it passed around the room so every person in attendance could offer a blessing to it as the couple recited their vows. Leila turned to see as it went to her parents first who were weeping fairly noticeably. Leila felt panic set in for a moment once she realized just how many people were here. Oh God, it felt like half he town had showed up. A gentle squeeze from Daniel brought her back to him and as she gazed back at him, she began to feel calm again.
The pastor turned to Leila and asked her to begin her vows. Well, here went nothing...
”Daniel, I know people say that we’re young and we may not know what true love is but when I look at you, I know they’re wrong. They just don’t know us. They don’t know how deep rooted our bond truly is. Our fates have been entwined from the moment you set foot in Hope Harbor. Some might say it was just inevitable because you were my brother’s best friend but it was more then that. We’ve always been drawn to one another. First with our own little friendship and then as something more. You know me inside out and love me despite my crazy mood swings and often times irrational thought process. You were never just my brother’s friend to me but I ignored it for awhile, thinking it best for so many reasons that I cannot list. But last July, in the Scott Spot when I saw you again after three years apart, I momentarily forgot all the reasons why. Which I know is kind of unbelievable since I sort of went psycho on you for that kiss.” Leila chuckled as tears sprang to her eyes. The smile never left her lips.
”I know I tried to drive us apart because of my confusion but then you fought for the reasons why we should be together and I caved. I am so glad that I gave in to you. We make each other laugh, we have no problems acting like kids together, conversation always came easy between us and when you hold me, all the bad that has touched my life the past few years was wiped away. I have never had that with another man nor do I ever want it with anyone else. One day, when our daughter-” Leila emphasized the word daughter. That was her wedding present to Daniel-telling him the gender of their baby. ”asks me ‘what’s a soul mate’, I’ll tell her the story of us. Of two friends, bound together by fate‘s guiding hand. Of two people who from the very beginning accepted one another, every flaw as well as every perfection, and believed in one another’s dreams. Of two people who grew into better people because of one another and how no matter what, that person will always be a part of your very being. You are my soul mate Daniel Zakrian and it is indescribable how happy I feel that from this moment on, I’ll be your wife.”
Leila reached a hand up to wipe at the tears that threatened to spill from her eye lids. Thankfully she had waterproof eye make-up on. She slipped her hand back into Daniel’s, feel so full of bliss. Not only was she marrying the man she was deeply in love with, she was having his daughter. A sweet, little girl. Leila’s life was on the right track for once and it was all because of the wonderfully caring and impossibly pushy man who stood before her.

Maverick was excited to work. He had arrived early, gotten all sorts of shots of the decorations before anyone could touch them and then proceeded to take candid shots of the guests as they arrived and of course the wedding party. He had hired a up and coming talent from the college to help out with the wedding so that they could get the most shots that they could. The young woman had been so excited to help out.
Currently Maverick had his help taking pictures of the bride and bridesmaids as they got ready, keeping in touch via text messaging to find out how it was going. He was very professional and wanted to make sure everything went perfect for the happy couple. He ghosted around the room, keeping out of the way and blending in with the background.
Every now and then he uploaded the shots he had onto a laptop that was kept up by the guest book. It was on a looping slideshow so everyone could see the pictures that had already been taken, which was a lot. He charged a base fee and any and all pictures taken were going to be Leila and Daniel's which he would put on a CD for them and make them a nice picture book to show off to their family and friends. Hopefully it would get him some great business too.
His phone vibrated in his pocket alerting him to another text message. Pulling out the device, he kept one eye on the crowd as he read the message. She was letting him know the bride was getting the last of her outfit together and saying a few words to her parents. Almost time then. Slipping from the crowd, Maverick found a place that was out of the way that he could get some wonderful pictures of the bride arriving and the groom's face as he saw her in her dress for the first time. He thanked his help and sent her a message, making sure she knew to get pictures of the girls walking up the aisle.
He smiled to himself, bringing the camera up to eye level once again. This whole wedding was amazing and he was just glad he could help record it for the future.

Post by DANIEL MARCUS ZAKARIAN on Mar 11, 2013 13:20:42 GMT -5
Thank god that Lexi was here to help calm his nerves. One could say that she was his other best friend but they were more than that. No, Daniel wasn’t cheating on Leila, it just so happened besides being his best friend Lexi was his cousin. Together they went through a lot. From the time he flew out because his favorite cousin was getting married to the time she had to go into premature labor to when her husband drowned at sea. A sigh left his lips as he thought about it, Ian would be up here as his best man and not Alex. Sure Alex was his best friend but Ian was his cousin-in-law.
As he talked to Jude he felt his himself relaxing some. The way he was able to joke with him and help him get over this. Did he care that he was being locked down? Not at all! He was in love with Leila and he couldn’t help it. “I know I did, still.” He laughs and looks around making sure everything was okay still. When he mentions the rest of her brothers he sighs and shifts on his feet. “Thanks Jude, I was just starting to get calm and not as nervous.” Letting out a laugh he shook his head and then smiled. “Thanks bro, I’m really happy that things have gone so right.” When they finally parted he walked up to the front and started pacing.
When Lexi came out he smiled and walked over to her. All he needed was a little pep talk and to give his cousin a hug. Part of him really was sorry she had to be here and relive this. Was it inconsiderate of him to have her here and be so happy when the scab of her own husband’s death probably wasn’t even fully healed over yet? He needed his rock here though. She was someone he could talk to and confide in. After they parted he went to grab a glass of water and then head back up to the front. He was ready. Putting the glass down he watched as someone came up and cleared it away. Looking at the minister when the music starts he shifts on his feet and smiles. This was it! He was going to be married…NOW!
He stood there firm and still waiting as the music started to play. He was going to wait to see his beautiful bride until it was time. As he heard her walking down the aisle he was really tempted to sneak a peek at her but he didn’t. That was until they were there and the minister was asking who was giving her away. He smiled when he finally got to see her. She was BEAUTIFUL! As he took her in his heart literally skipped a beat as his smile widened. Taking her hand in his he turned so he was facing her and both his hands were in hers. As he spoke up about the rings and asking people to say a prayer over them he smiled and looked into his wife’s eyes.
As the priest turned to Leila and told her to begin her vows his heart sped up. As she spoke he felt her digging more and more into his soul with them. She was so perfect. Then she hit him with something that took him by surprise. They were having a daughter! Holy shit! His smile went from wide to wider as his eyes sparkled thinking about the fact he was having a little girl. A beautiful little girl that would be all theirs. Gently he squeezed her hand at acknowledge he understood they were having a girl. When she was done he had to stop himself from choking up. She was so perfect.
When the pastor turned to him he nodded his head and opened his mouth to say something. Grinning as he looked into her eyes he let out a small laugh. “Yours were so beautiful you made me forget my vows.” Looking out at everyone he smiled to them all. “Well now we all know it’s a little girl!” He turned back to Leila and laughed a little as he looked into her eyes and took her hands gently in his.
“Leila, we’ve come so far from when we first began so long ago. I would say it has been easy but it hasn’t been. When we first met back up in the Scott spot after so long of having not seen one another you were adamant about not letting me take you out. What you didn’t know was at that moment when I first laid eyes on you again was when you went from just being my best friends little sister to the woman I knew I wanted to be with. The way you fought against me in the beginning gave me the urge to fight for what I wanted even more. So much so that I was willing to risk climbing into your room through your window. When you finally agreed to go out with me, I felt complete. Everything started going great and kept that way but, yet again, we faced another challenge in our love. You are worth every battle I have had to face and overcome just so we can be together. That first night of the fair when we watched the fireworks, and I held you in my arms as we danced, was when I knew that you were the one I wanted to spend my life with. The one girl who completes and compliments me as a person. Yes, I know you can be stubborn but I see that as you being a strong independent woman whom I love with all my heart. If we are lucky then our daughter will be just like you and have everything that is perfect about you inside of her. Leila, you are my soul mate and the only person I ever want to spend my life with. I cannot wait to be your husband and make all your dreams come true.”
His eyes stayed on hers the whole time. She was a beautiful woman and they were going to be wedded now. By the time they both finished the rings had been returned to the pastor and he had begun the next part of it. When he pulled out Leila’s ring he took it in his hand and repeated the vows as he slipped her wedding band onto her ring finger. Looking up into her eyes he smiled at her as he lovingly squeezed her hand.

Post by DOMINIC ELI BANES on Mar 12, 2013 14:01:11 GMT -5
dominic found a couple seats for the two of them about midway down the aisle. he sat her down, kneeling in front of her so he could help remove her hat and coat. those he draped over the back of the chair she was sitting on, then began removing his own coat. dominic had let her bring one thing, her favorite stuffed animal, a sippy cup and a little snack container, since she usually got hungry and he didn't want her to fuss during the wedding. those he sat next to the chair until they were needed, but the stuffed dog was held tightly in everleigh's little arms, not to be released. dominic sat in the chair next to her, smiling down at her as he placed his arm on the back of her seat and crossed his legs. he talked to her, laughing when she said something cute, than asked if she'd seen all the pretty dresses the women were wearing. everleigh's attention was immediately drawn to them, pointing out any that were red or pink. red, because they matched her, and pink, because that was her favorite color.
he glanced up upon hearing his name. dominic smiled when he saw willow, madison in tow, making their way to him and everleigh."hey willow," he greeted as he stood up. "yeah, it's nice to be out. especially with this little rug rat," dominic replied with a laugh, thinking how nice it was to see her again. then he crouched down to maddy's level. "and how's miss madison?" she was a little cutie and looked especially nice for the big day.
dominic soon returned to his seat since the wedding was about to start, inviting willow and madison to sit with the two of them. before long the maid of honor and the best man were making there way down the aisle. he pointed her pretty dress out to everleigh, which got her excited. he quieted her down immediately, though, knowing the bride and her father would be coming out next. dominic looked back, the doors just being opened for the bride and father of the bride. he glanced up the aisle to the groom and then sort of wished he hadn't. it wasn't an easy day for him, seeing a couple getting married that were obviously in love. dominic put a smile on, however, not wanting his sadness to show.
everyone stood as they walked down the aisle, returning to their seats once leila had reached the front. her father gave her away and then the vows started. dominic listened as leila did hers, having to admit that he was touched. he smiled and even laughed in all the appropriate parts, especially when she told daniel the gender of their baby. he was happy for the two, and hoped that everything would work out for them. next was daniel's vows. his was touching as well, but the hardest to listen to, though he tried not to think about it.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, background-color:#f4f4f4; width:400px; padding:8px; border: 8px solid #9b6464;] she‘s had all she can take SOMETHING’S GOTTA MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE. I DON‘T KNOW WHERE IT IS BUT SOMETHING‘S GOTTA GIVE
Natalie let a chuckle leave her lips as she gazed around this place. She could not imagine having this large scale of a wedding. She had always imagined something small and intimate, maybe outside in a park. He liked the idea being someplace beautiful for such an intimate moment. Not…this. Yes, it was fun to be going and Natalie probably would be going anyways because her father performed most ceremonies. That didn’t change how overwhelming this was. Still, she wasn’t panicking as bad as she normally did. She actually had a bit of control over her emotions. She had really made progress since everything happened in September. Yes, Natalie was very proud of herself.
She laughed as she shook her head. ”No, they probably wouldn’t!” As Daniel made his way around the place, she smiled. He was really lucky to have found his match. Anyone who was looking could tell him and Leila were perfect together. She hoped she’d find hers someday. With a roll of her eyes, she chuckled. ”first you complain that I’m going too wild and crazy and now you’re asking me to steal. Why Autumn Sommers, were you the one who wanted to corrupt me this whole time?”
The two girls found seats about halfway down and Natalie let Autumn sit on the outside so she’d have the best view. As she tugged her wrap around her, she caught sight of Isabella and blushed. No, Natalie still hadn’t figured things out. She wasn’t even sure what there was to figure out. She turned and saw Isabella was talking to Jude. When they locked eyes she scowled at him. Yes, Natalie was still pretty angry about being made to talk to that private investigator but she didn’t say anything least she explode. When the music began, everyone turned to watch the small wedding party walk by. When the doors opened for Leila to come through, everyone stood. Natalie held onto her clutch as she watched Leila Scott walk by with her father. It was heartwarming. After a prayer, her father asked for everyone to sit and explained about how he wished everyone to say a blessing of well wishes over the rings as they were passed around.
While she waited, Natalie listened intently to the words the bride and groom spoke of. They both said such beautiful things about one another and their relationship. She couldn’t help but laugh with how Daniel said they now all knew it was a girl. There was a murmur of excitement and well wishes that went over the group. She ignored it as she grabbed the velvet pouch and mouthed a wish of serenity in their home. Hey, she was sure everyone had wished them happiness, love and patience. She offered something that she felt might be as fitting before she handed the little pouch over the Autumn, a smile on her face.

Post by SCOTT MATTHEW CLAYTON on Mar 14, 2013 10:24:31 GMT -5
A little while before...
Scott placed the suitcases down with a thud on the bed. Grand Harbor Inn! He looked around and admired the furnishings. He had gotten himself a king-sized bed because, well, there's only one of him, and Simon loved to have his space (for a cat, he liked to take up a lot of room on a bed).
Scott stretched his arms upwards, and yawned. Should he go out? It was a pretty long drive from Boston, especially after all the packing he had to do. But... Hope Harbor! He was giddy and energetic, yearning to go out and explore the town. He opened a suitcase, then opened another, and then opened another because he forgot where he had packed his clothes. Of course, first impressions being applied, he would go with a suit and tie. So, he marched into the bathroom, suit in his arms, and closed the door.
Simon curiously looked around his new surroundings, and meowed grumpily. The cat didn't really like change.
"Don't worry Simon, I'll be all set in just... a minute!" Scott said, nearly falling into the bathtub as he tried to put on a sock while standing. After he finally got dressed , he looked into the mirror, and fixed his hair. He couldn't wait! He hoped he could make enough friends so that they would want him to stay, because, of course, he wanted to stay. He just knew he wanted to stay.
He opened the door, and walked out. He opened the rest of his suitcases, muttering to himself, "Now... where is it?" He pulled out item after item, making a small sound of frustration, until he found what he was seeking. His trench coat! Yeah, okay, so it was a little torn and a little old, but boy, did Scott ever love the beige coat. His brother had always poked fun at him about it. "Are you trying to look like a creeper?" Matthew teased Scott one time he was putting it on. Scott didn't care. It was his pride and joy, though he was never too sure why it was his pride and joy. It just was.
Scott reached into the suitcase, and pulled out a cat collar. Simon groaned and hissed, to which Scott replied, "I'm not too sure how people view cats walking around, so, for now, you have to wear this." Scott reassured Simon, while the cat was glaring at him, "Don't worry, don't worry. I won't put the leash on. I know how much you hate that." Simon meowed, and walked towards Scott lazily. Scott put the collar on the cat, and pat him on the head. "See, not so bad is it, lil' buddy?" The cat gave Scott a grumpy expression, and Scott grinned from ear to ear.
Scott stood up, adjusted his coat, grabbed his wallet (with the key card to his hotel room, of course), his cell phone, and he was off! He walked outside of the Inn with Simon tagging along, and took a deep breath. "Can you smell that, Simon? It's the ocean!" Simon didn't seem too thrilled by the notion that there was water nearby.
Scott started to walk down the sidewalk. Hope Harbor! He couldn't believe he was actually here! It seemed like yesterday that he was talking to Claudia about finding a new place, but, that was two weeks ago! Okay, so, his boss may have been a little angry at him for the sudden vacation, but he hadn't taken a vacation in about... five years (Scott thought so, anyways), so she easily forgave him (and who couldn't? When Scott gave that 'sad' look, his coworkers crumbled to dust... Perhaps that is why Beartrice hugged him so often). But, he was here now, and he was going to make sure he was going to enjoy every second of it!
Scott peered into windows, and gazed at the signs hanging from several of the shops. He would have to remember where these were and come by again. Oh look! A boat shop! Maybe Matthew would like something from there... or was it Frankie, his coworker, who liked boats? As Scott mulled over this, he suddenly froze. He forgot to send a text message to Matthew!
Scott whipped out his cell phone from his pocket, and opened it up. He decided to keep on walking so that he wouldn't be idle, since he had all this built up energy inside of him. Simon meowed, possibly predicting what was going to happen soon, but Scott was transfixed to the screen of his cell phone to listen. He started to type, and also say slowly, "Hey Big Bro. I am now at Hope Harbor. It is wonderful!" Scott paused, while still walking, to think of something else. "Hoping to see if there is a place I can move to here, and possibly a job opportunity for me-" Scott never completed the message, since, due to focusing on the cell phone and barely paying any attention to his surroundings, he ran smack dab into someone.
His cell phone flew out of his hand as he tripped, and it landed with a thud. Simon meowed, and huffed. Scott rubbed his head and scrambled for his cell phone while apologizing to the person he ran into, "I'm so so so so sorry! I was just texting my brother and was walking when I ran into you! Super duper sorry!" Scott then looked up.
Currently...
Scott couldn't believe it! He hadn't been in the town for an hour and he was already invited to a wedding! The person he had ran into said her name was Alexandria (but to call her Lexi, he thought anyways), and that she was heading to a wedding. Seeing that he was new in town, she invited him to the wedding. He was super excited! There were quite a bit of people there, which actually made him a little nervous. He knew he should have gotten the bow-tie collar for Simon.
He was now sitting at a table, smiling happily at what was happening. Simon was sitting next to him in a separate chair, a grumpy expression on the cat's face (as though to say Seriously? Who thought it was a smart idea to invite this guy?). Scott wanted to wait a little bit before going around to introduce himself. It was, after all, someone's wedding, and he was the new guy in town. He got giddy just thinking about that. New guy! He was the new guy in town! He couldn't wait to meet the people here!
Simon huffed, and reached out a paw to play with a rogue piece of ribbon from the decorations.

Lexi was in a rush. Apparently her parents had left the gift at her father’s butcher shop so she offered to go get it since they were helping set stuff up. Doing that in heels was not fun. After she went in and found the pretty bag, she left the shop and locked the door back up. She was trying to shove the large set of keys back in her clutch, one handed, when she collided into someone else. She nearly fell b backwards but grabbed the wall of the building next to her and caught herself. A gaze down showed a man on the ground with his phone beside him and-a cat on a leash! How adorable!
Lexi shook her head before she set the present down and nmoved ot look at the man. ”Oh don’t worry about it. I don’t think either of us was paying attention though at this moment, you’re the poster boy for distracted walkers.” She tilted to look at his head, a habit of hers being a nurse. ”Well, you’re not bleeding and unless you blacked out or saw stars just after hitting your head, I think you’ll be fine. I’d hate to have to go to work and get my coworkers to fix you up on the day of my cousin’s wedding.” Lexi looked at the cat and stuck her hand forward before she lightly scratched behind the cat’s ear.
--------present--------
When Lexi saw her parents walk away, she smiled to the person next to her. ”Thanks. Enjoy the wedding.” She shrugged her shoulders lightly before she got up and started to move around the room. It was getting close to the starting time for the wedding. She really should find someplace to sit. With a sigh, she saw various seats throughout the place. She gripped her clutch as she looked around. Finally she caught sight of someone she had just invited to the wedding today. He was new in town and Lexi knew that because she did not recognize him. Seeing as the town would be fairly deserted today she invited him here. She figured it might be good if there was a friendly face near him. Or, well friendly enough for just meeting maybe an hour ago.
She moved to sit in the seat next to his cat as she smiled. ”Hi Scott. Glad you decided to come. You’re just in time for the ceremony.” She laughed as she looked down at the cat, a fond smile on her face. The tie for her dress was within his reach and she tugged on it playfully to see if the cat would react. It’s not like she really cared about the dress. Clothes could be replaced.
”So, have you talked to anyone yet or waiting until the reception to do so?” Lexi was just generally being friendly, not flirty. She was a girl who wasn’t looking for complications. She had plenty of male friends(mostly coworkers or geek friends of her cousin’s) as well as female friends. She always kept that barrier up to prevent things from going further, even if the other guy wanted it to. Not to say Lexi never wanted another relationship again, just...well, she wasn’t sure what she wanted. So, for now, the safe choice was to do nothing at all. She was happy being single for the time being.
When the music started she smiled at Scott and the turned to watch the wedding party move down the aisle. Once they had gotten to the front of the hall that had been set up as the alter, everyone stood to watch Leila and her father come down the aisle. Memories of her own wedding flooded her but she held her resolve with a stiff smile on her face. Once she was back in her seat, her focus went in and out but she still kept herself strong. Lexi had vowed not to have a break down until after everything was said and done. She didn’t want Daniel to see her cry because she knew he’d know why. He had flown out with her mother when she delivered her still born son and then again to help Lexi plan her late husband’s funeral. She knew that the man was worried about her in the way he hugged her close earlier when she tried to calm his nerves.
As the rings in the velvet pouch started to get passed around, she leaned her body sideways and turned her head to Scott. ”You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. Basically you just say whatever well wishes you want for the bride and groom while you hold the pouch with their rings. It’s a little tradition our family has done for many generations.” She sat back up and waited for the pouch to come to her. When it was in her hands, Lexi cupped both of them around it. She mouthed her wish for them to have a long, happy life together where they could watch their daughter grow and one day have her own family. She’d never wish her fate on anyone. When done she handed it sideways with a soft smile on her lips.

Scott smiled as Lexi walked over and spoke to him. "It's my pleasure. This is a great opportunity to see the people in this town. " Simon eyed the tie, and reached his paw out to bat at it. In the cat's mind, he moved with grace, pouncing at the fearsome tie and saving the day (oh, and his stupid owner). In reality, Simon had lazily stuck his paw out to swat at the tie a few times. It seemed that motivation was not this cat's strong suit.
Scott listened as Lexi asked him a question. He shook his head. "No, not yet. There seems to be a lot of folks here." He meekly smiled. "I'll see about waiting until the reception, yeah. Don't want to disrespect anyone and try to pry their attention from anything too important."
Scott tried to pay attention as best he could to the ceremony and music. He'd always liked weddings. The colors, decorations, and, most of all, the people that gathered to celebrate it. All sorts of fascinating people, too; though, for the most part, everyone knew each other. He smiled brightly as everything went along, although, at some point he couldn't help but to start thinking about having a wedding for his cat someday. That notion seemed to be more common than one would think.
Scott's mind came back to reality as Lexi leaned over and spoke to him. He looked perplexed for a moment, tilting his head a little, but then he understood. "Oh, I don't mind at all." He took the pouch from Lexi, and then looked as though he was thinking. "Uh... I hope they have a good and happy life and get to see a lot of things." Scott paused, pursing his lips and looking at the ground. "Oh! And, pets. I think. I mean, if they aren't into pets I get that, but they're wonderful." Scott smiled widely, and then held the pouch out to Simon. "Go on, Simon. Say something nice." The cat gave him an annoyed look, put his paw on the pouch, and grumbled a meow. "There you go, lil' buddy!" Scott then handed the pouch to the next person.

Whitney had snuck through the crowd to take a seat on the bride's side of the room, being related first and foremost to Leila. She sat beside friends and some family she was sure she was related to but couldn't quite remember where or how. She was pleasant enough, glad for the conversations surrounding her to keep her mind off her missing fiance. She missed him terribly and hoped he would return home soon. She couldn't blame him though, he had picked up his stuff and left his entire life behind to be with her and her family here in Hope Harbor.
Sighing softly, she shook her head, feeling those dark, creeping thoughts entering her mind. This was a wedding, she needed to stay positive and happy. There was no need to be getting upset.
She shifted softly in her seat, hearing the procession start. It was exciting to see her cousin be married off. She deserved every little happiness she could get since her life hadn't been a picnic either. And another bundle of happiness was on its way too, a baby girl. They would be a happy cute family. Whitney was positive Leila would shower that little girl with all the love in the world too. And daddy would surely spoil her. What a life their baby would have.
Whitney smiled softly and watched the bride, beautiful in her dress, walk up the aisle. Their vows were moving, bringing tears to her eyes, hoping her own wedding would be as beautiful and amazing as this was. She clasped her hands together, wishing silently that they would have a great marriage, more beautiful than their wedding and that all their dreams and aspirations came true as well as their baby being healthy.

She knew revealing they were having a girl would be really special. What better way to tell him then at their wedding on Valentine’s Day? Sure a good chunk of the town was here but so were their family members. Now everyone special to them knew. That lifted Leila’s heart right up. She ran her thumbs along the back of his hands tenderly. She really could care less about all the people who came here to see them. Leila was focused solely on Daniel.
His vows made a tear escape from her eye as she beamed with happiness. There was a funny noise from the direction of her father when Daniel mentioned climbing through her window which made her chuckle. When Daniel had first proposed she was worried it was only because of the baby. But looking at him right now she knew it wasn’t. she knew it was because he truly loved her as well as their child. Hey really had been through a lot already with dealing with her brother, telling her family about them, her passing out which led to discovering her pregnancy and the blow up of her family at Christmas. That along with all their antics which had gotten her, her brothers and Daniel in trouble as kids. There really was no one else for Leila.
After their religious vows were said, Pastor Owens pronounced them husband and wife. Her and Daniel drew close and she placed her hands along his biceps. She squeezed them gently as they shared a chaste kiss in front of everyone. When they separated there were some claps and utterances of congratulations. Leila didn’t care. She grabbed her bouquet before they paused for a picture up near the little alter. After Mister and Misses Zakarian made their way down the aisle and went out back to line up to thank people. As people made their way upstairs to the reception area, the wedding party and close family gathered for photos. Leila took care to take photos with each of her brothers individually as well as a group one then took one with her cousins. When Lexi came around she also took one with her. Then there were the usual ones with family members, just the wedding party, her with Reagan, Daniel with Alex, Reagan and Alex together and then countless ones of her and Daniel.
Leila lost track of the number of photos taken but once they were done, she wanted a moment for just her and Daniel before they had to go to the reception. They would spend the next few hours amongst a hundred, if not more, people until they left for their honeymoon. Leila wanted to just soak in everything in a private moment with her husband. As their families made their way upstairs, Leila led Daniel to the make shift lounge she had gotten ready in. With the door closed, she wrapped her arms around his waist and tilted her head up for a deeper kiss then they were able to share prior. When she pulled back she grinned from ear to ear. ”So did you like your wedding present? I figured telling you it was a girl might be kind of fun.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]the girl in the moon --- Lexi nodded in agreement. There were plenty of people from the town around and a perfect chance to get to know people. ”I think a couple of the doctors from the hospital are here. Might do well to socialize with them. Despite working in the emergency room, I do know most of the staff.” Lexi had a bachelors in nursing which meant she could do nurse management tasks and do more things then most of the nurses on staff could. She often got called to other departments to help out. Not that she minded. Work took her mind off things which was good. ”Well if you want, I’ll introduce you to people from around town. And I’ll tell you who to avoid. Some people are just a bit nuts.” Lexi liked to meet new people and if Scott stuck around town and got a job at the hospital she’d have to see him. Lexi liked being on good terms with anyone she worked with.w ell, she liked being on good terms with anyone in general.
Lexi listened to Scott’s blessing as she peered out of the corner of her eyes. She felt tears welling up in her eyes. She was doing so well with holding it together. A smile was pasted on as that could mean her tears could be brushed off as happy ones. And while she was happy for them, her heart was also breaking inside. It had been two years but Lexi still missed her husband fiercely. She missed waking up next to him and how they would go sailing every Saturday morning. She missed the way he held her hand close and gripped at her hips when he pulled her in for a kiss. She missed breathing in his scent-Old Spice, his men’s shampoo and the smell of the salty air from his constant sailing. There were moments, in the early hours of dawn, she still felt like he was there with her but then she was brought back to reality and knew he would never be there again.
When the ceremony ended, she stood up as did most people in the room and clapped for them. Lexi kept her head bowed down as Daniel and Leila passed by. She didn’t want them to see her crying. Her delicate hand reached up to wipe at the tears before she turned to Scott and smiled. ”I uh, I have to take photos with my family after I get cleaned up. Stupid weddings and making me feel all happy. I’ll see you upstairs at the reception?” A smile formed on Lexi’s face that didn’t quite reach her eyes. As she moved through the crowd, she went back to the bathroom she had been prior. A hand was clasped to her mouth as she made her way to that washroom, not wanting to break down in front of people. As soon as the door was closed and locked, she slid her body down it to sit on the floor. Lexi’s shoulder shook as she sobbed with her head pressed to the door. Thank God there was an intense amount of noise from people moving around the music starting upstairs. Lexi could have a few minutes to herself to just cry before she got up.
Lexi took care in cleaning up her face. She used tissues and Q-Tips and the redid nearly everything. Her hands fixed her coiffure before she smoothed her dress back out. She knew today would be hard on her. Now, she would find a way to move past it. She left the bathroom and entered the mostly empty hallway. Her heels clicked as she reached the area being used for photos and put on her brightest smile again. The only trace of her crying was a slight puffiness under her eyes but that could be written off as she was tired. Otherwise, no evidence remained of her breakdown.

Post by JACKSON XAVIER FORD on Mar 16, 2013 13:16:16 GMT -5
SO SHOW ME FAMILY tags;; open/leila/whitney etc;; outfit, graphic credit ( SILVER TIE! ) @ caution 2.0 jackson explored for a little longer, still not seeing natalie, so he went in search of his mom. as he walked back the way he'd come he noticed kitty, sitting by herself and looking like she didn't want to be seen. she wore all black, which was different considering it was a wedding, but he thought it worked for her. jackson figured he had a few more minutes until he had to go and sit and decided to chat with her for a bit. "well, look who the cat dragged in," he said with a bit of a smirk as he walked up. for him, a smirk was pretty much the equivalent of a smile. there was a chair next to the one she sat in and he helped himself to it. "didn't take you for the wedding type." jackson was a bit surprised to see her there since it didn't seem like her kinda thing. "nice dress," he complimented, liking how short it was, especially when she was sitting.
once he had finished chatting with kitty, jackson walked back to where the ceremony would be taking place. he kept an eye out for natalie still, plus is mom and sisters. his family would be on leila's side, of course, so he searched there, once in a while looking to daniel's, since he wasn't sure which natalie would be sitting on. he wasn't going to sit with her, of course, but he wanted to at least know where she was for future reference. jackson found his mom first, waving to her, then kept walking, looking for whitney and gianna. they had all sat in different places, apparently, and he wanted to have them all sit together. gianna was a few rows further on, then finally whitney. he made his way over to her, smiling as he reached where she was sitting. "hey sis. lookin good," jackson said by way of greeting as he gave her a hug. "i'm gonna go snag mom and gi, so don't let anyone take our seats." there were enough for the four of them, plus one extra. he quickly headed back over to where his mom and sister were and brought them back to where whitney was waiting. jackson sat on one side of whitney, his mom and sister on the other.
the music started and everyone turned to look as the best man and maid of honor made their way down the aisle. the bride and father of the bride were next, the music changing as everyone stood up. jackson caught sight of natalie as he did so, his attention off leila for a moment as he stared at her, thinking how breathtaking she was. he quickly looked back to leila, who was about half way down the aisle by that time, and she looked amazingly beautiful. jackson felt himself tearing up a little, but kept them held back, wondering why on earth he should be crying. probably because he loved his cousin, was exciting for her and she was even more gorgeous than usual. even with all those good reasons he still wasn't going to cry or even allow himself to tear up again. jackson smiled as she walked by, but her eyes were on daniel alone, as were his. after everyone was seated again, the vows started. he glanced at natalie from time to time as first leila, then daniel said their vows, exchanged rings, then kissed. he whistled loudly and clapped as they did so, grinning as his mom leaned forward and told him to hush some, though she was smiling, too.
jackson stood when it was their turn to join the line of people who would congratulate the bride and groom. once reaching daniel and leila he shook daniel's hand, cracking a joke about that night, then gave leila a big hug and teased her as he always did. he didn't go far, however, since they'd be needed for pictures once everyone had had a chance to see the newlyweds. he stood where instructed for the cousins group picture, and then he was free to do as he wished. jackson glanced around for natalie again, not seeing her anywhere down there and figured she must have gone upstairs to the reception area. he took his mom's arm, and walked up with her. he hadn't seen it yet and thought it was just beautiful, his mom impressed, too, as she let out a gasp. jackson saw a bar, wishing he could get a drink, but knowing he'd get himself in trouble if he did. normally that wouldn't bother him, but this was leila's wedding, so he wasn't about to cause problems. besides, he brought his flask, which he fully intended to take advantage of, once he found the right time and place.

Leila was making him speechless for their wedding! How was he supposed to say his vows and do everything he was supposed to when she was sitting here making him speechless? Smiling as he looked at her he gently stroked his thumb on her hand. This was still a perfect day. Even having to make the two little jokes to lighten up the mood and let everyone know how happy he actually was. Yes, those two things were because he was happy. As he made his own vows he heard her father’s noise when he spoke up about sneaking into her window that first night. Now he was going to have to tell him all about that later after they were married.
When he noticed the tear that was coming from her eyes he smiled and stroked the back of her hand tenderly. If only he was able to hold her in his arms right now. As they both said the religious vows he grew nervous knowing that they would finally be pronounced man and wife soon. When the proclamation came he grinned and moved closer to his beautiful bride. The look in her eyes told him he needed to be conservative with the kiss. His arms wrapped around her and he placed a soft tender kiss to her lips. When they pulled away he smiled at her and then looked as the camera came to take a picture of them.
Walking down the aisle he smiled when Leila pulled him into the room she had gotten ready in instead of going right outside for them to take pictures in the rose garden. Looking around as she closed the door he was going to take a seat when she came up to him. Pulling her tightly to him he pressed his lips hard to hers as he gave her a deeper more loving kiss. No one would be able to see them right now while they were all alone. When they broke apart he smiled. “I loved my wedding present! As you can tell by making me forget y vows.” Laughing he reached behind her and spanked her butt lightly. “I should punish you later for it.”
After pulling her into another kiss and finishing up their talks he took her hand and led her outside to the garden so they could take their pictures. They were going to be so many! He spared no expense capturing this whole thing. His pictures were taken with everyone together, individual and then only with Leila. When it was time to take pictures with Lexi he pulled her into a strong hug being able to tell by her eyes and body action she probably broke down in private. Gently he placed a kiss to her cheek before they started to take pictures. When it was time to take the ones with Leila he grinned and picked her up in his arms for the first one. As they moved on doing different things he walked over before one of the last ones and picked two roses. One was for Lexi and the other was for Leila. Giving her a kiss they took another amazing picture and then he waved Lexi over to join in on the next one.
When the pictures were over he looped his arms through both of theirs and led them back towards the inside of the building. When Alex was close he allowed him to escort Lexi inside of the building. It was good to hopefully have everything back to normal for now. That was as long as his cousin didn’t break down again. He would have to make sure that she was okay the rest of the time. He cared a lot for his family members.

When she met up with Jude a smile played on her lips as she looked him over. He was looking very yummy today. “I’m doing swell, Jude. Unless you count the lawyer I want for my line keeps denying me at every turn.” She winks as she teases him playfully. She was going to get him to be her lawyer in the end as long as she kept playing him the way she needed to. When he shifted nervously a smile played on her lips. “why is that Jude? Can’t handle this much woman?” A smirk took over the smile as she moved closer to him. From this distance she could smell the cologne that he wore.
As he spoke up about what happened that night and the personal favor she looked up into his eyes. Bingo! She had him in her hands now. Pressing her body against his she looked up into her eyes. An innocent look on her face as she gazed up. “Well if you think about it, between that and the favor if you become my lawyer then we’ll call it even and never speak of it again. Think of it as you doing a favor for me seeing as I did one for you. If it wasn’t for me Natalie wouldn’t have spoken to that investigator.” His entire future was in her hands. Moving from against his body she grinned. “I’m expecting you to save me a dance then, Jude.” That she would have.
Looking at Natalie as he spoke about her and looked at her she shrugged her shoulders and sighed. That beautiful blonde she was friends with was so amazing and innocent. Seeing her scowl at Jude she paled and then looked back towards the front. “From that scowl and the way she’s talked to me I think she hates your guts still. Don’t worry she should calm down soon.” She would find a way to get her friend to calm down and be happy. Whatever that investigator said to her she was going to find out. If he even touched a hair on her head she’s beat the shit out of it.
As the wedding started she took her seat next to Jude and someone else. While it went on she paid attention to it with a smile on her face. As the rings finally came to her she held them in her hand as she said a silent prayer over them. They were going to be so happy together. Maybe one day she would find love like that. She passed the rings to the person next to her then turned her attention back to Jude. When the wedding was finished she stood up and clapped. It was so beautiful! One day she would have a wedding that was this beautiful and amazing. At least she hoped that she would have one like this.
